Crazy Sexy Cool Ontarians! Monday, Feb 16

Oh I'm so glad everybodies back safe and sound!!:D

Yesterday, I did Body Max 2's Scrambled Eggs premix on an 8" step all the way through, yippee! Of course I took alot of standing breaks throughout and didn't do the second go around of the challenge (that's crazieee by the way:p!!). Does anyone have to take little breaks while doing step workouts? I want to be able to build my cardio power enough to not have to do this. I was just wondering if others can do it straight through and how they built their cardio power up? I guess it just takes time and consistency (I actually just advanced from a 1 to 2 risers so that's pretty good too, so I'm still acclimatizing). I also did all the leg work. I was very proud of myself BUT my knees were sore afterwards and had to ice, ice, ice:eek:. So I realize I can NOT do weighted leg work with step, I'll have to keep it on separate days. That's such a drag but I'll just have to do it. The day before I just did Namaste yoga as I came home late from work. And last Wed. I did my gym leg & back physio weights and came home and did BM2 plie squats and some Gym Style lunges and my knees felt fine. And the Tues. I did Step Works. I love those old step routines their awesome!! Cathe puts amazing blasts after each combo and now I like it better than PowerMax. Talk about revving up your cardio power!! I'm ashamed to say I have not done any STS. And I'm thinking I'm going to do what your doing Bri and do Meso 2 or 3 as I want strength now and want to stick to a muscle group before moving on and only Meso 2 & 3 do that. And Meso 3 has the muscles split up the way I like it with shoulder, biceps and triceps on one day and chest & back on the other. The problem is I end up only doing the one set of disks in the Mesocycles as I do my legs and back at the gym.

Bri: I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's dog too. I'm so glad they took care of him so well before putting him to sleep. Sounds like you had so much on your plate and I hope everybody is doing better. Good for you on your Meso 3 results!!:D Bri, RT sounds awesome, but I'm not a morning person (lots of early morning calls) and probably won't have the funds, but it does sound like SOOOO much fun!!! Who knows I may change my mind come next year.

Hdawg: Gosh, I hope your Dad gets better and same with your husband and you don't get the flu.

Stebby: I hope you enjoyed doing legs and felt the DOMS!! I wish I could have done it with you, I'm jealous!!:p

Morningstar: Thanks for the pep talk!:D

Elle: Great to hear ya!! I'm so enjoying my Namaste! I know I asked you this before but what are your favourite episodes? My all time favourite so far is the first season's Dancing Sun, episode 5 and I'm also really loving Half Moon, episode 6.

Hi everyone,
Today i did a basic yoga session which consists of Sun Salutations, Leg raising excercises, and the 12 basic postures. I'm feeling good right now and optimistic about the month ahead.

Twinkle: I also like Namaste episode "Dancing Sun". From Season one i also really like the firebird episode and I like Half Moon as well. I pretty much enjoy them all when i'm doing them and by the time i get around to repeating an episode it feels new again since there are 2 seasons to get through! I'm glad you are enjoying them!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Elle
