crazy recovery week

This is my recovery week, but I'm recovering from more than just STS. Over the weekend, a cat that we took in attacked me in the middle of the night. When I say attack, I mean he scratched and bit me so bad I could hardly walk. My left leg has developed cellulitis! Anyway, I'm too start Meso 3 next week (hoping I'm able to!) and I'm worried that because I'm having trouble walking, let a lone workout, that I'm going to lose fitness gains I've made thus far. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks

OMG Christine, I'm sorry this happened to you. Right now don't worry about your workouts. It is way more important that you go to your doc and make sure that you are fully cleared from infection from the attack. Infections that develop/occur from pet/animal attacks can become very serious if the right steps are not taken at the time of the bite/deep scratch. Your workout will always be there once you are fully healed and able to give them your all. Good luck with everything and keep me posted.

Thank you Cathe for your support. The scary thing is that I started an antibiotic the day it happened and still got infected anyway, but went to the doc on Monday and he said it is healing. Underneath the bites on my leg it's as hard as a rock, guess that's the infection. We did surrender the cat to the local cat shelter because I just can't take the chance with it happening again, possibly to my kids. I did ask the doc about working out and he said I could do whatever I felt I could do, but like you said, I'm just going to take the week to let it heal.
Thanks for your concern.

Feel better Christine. I once was bitten by a cat in my hand and it was bad. I had to go to the ER. Cats can be crazy at times.

Take care of yourself.
