Wayne:
not me that's for sure! I could never justify the expense, I mean for £160 a month, just think how many CD's I could buy, how many sports classes I could pay for for my girls, and if I saved it all up over a year, that's the cost of flights to London!
It's the old time vs. money equation again.
Do you have the time? I mean, you could get great amounts of protein from food, some legumes, some fish, some meat, some eggs every day, supplemented with a wide range of veggies. You just have to have the time to shop for it and cook it. But if you make large quantities of everything at the weekend, then pack it in serving size portions and freeze it all, you can just pull out each a.m. what you need for the day and only have to cook once a week! Needs a bit of planning though.
The UK market does not rival the US market for fitness foods, but I think I prefer real food to tell you the truth. I have tried, for example, so many nutrition bars out here to try and up my protein quota and have found only one that I can stand!
What you need to do is hook up with a lover who has a passion for cooking (and for you, of course!).
