Cost of Lasik?

My DH has a appointment to get Lasik next week. How much did yours cost? I am just curious of what we are in for as far as cost goes.

I paid 2K per eye but that was with a teaching Drs Dr... I was VERY afraid so waited til I had saved enough for the best. Other places in the city charged as low as 500.00 per eye.

i had mine done 4 years ago, and it was 3,000. it depends on the doctor.

I had mine done a few months ago and it was 2500 total for both eyes... Best money I tell yea - I can now see in HI-Def - totally corrected my astigmatism and now see at 20/15....

I had mine done in 2001 for 3500. Unfortunately, my original vision returned after my pregnancy. I did have PRK, though.

I paid $3900,00. The same Dr. now charges $2900.00. My girlfriend who used the same Dr. one year before I did paid $4900.00.

I had my eyes done last August '06 and it cost me out of pocket 4k, best investment ever! I had really bad vision and couldn't see clearly to even see the time on my alarm clock now I see 20/20 worth every penny!

Thanks so much! I just wanted to get a average of what you guys have spent. I had mine done in 1994 and it was $2800, I heard it was more expensive now that is why I was checking.
