Cookware - What do you use?

What type of cookware do you use and why?

I was going to purchase a set from Costco - Ameriware, which is close to Teflon but was told by someone that is contains dangerous chemicals.

I am currently using Stainless Steel.

I have a very nice set of Pampered Chef professional cookware that I love! Whether it's "dangerous" or not, I don't know. I just love it! It also has a lifetime warranty, so if I break a glass lid, I get a new one, free!

I have 2 sets and I love them both! I have the Pampered Chef Professional cookware set and a hard-anodized aluminum set by KitchenAid. Both are non-stick and fabulous!

My 20-year old Calphalon. Oh, and there's one non-brand kick-ass cast iron skillet that I love!

Definitely I would recommend Tramontina Tri-Ply Cookware from walmart.com. It is absolutely wonderful. I have always wanted All-Clad, but it is way too expensive, and this cookware is just as good for a fraction of the price. I love it!

p.s. make sure it's the tri-ply kind - not just the stainless steel - they're not the same.

I am just using Stainless Steel and Cast Iron cookware. I do not like the coated pots and pans. I have a few Cromagan frying pans and they are good, too. They keep the heat very well so you can shut off the heat way in advance.

I have All Clad, and they are sitting in the closet while I cook everything with my Circulon pans. Those I love.

I don't cook that much anymore, but when I did/do, I use only stainless steel (it's inert and nothing will leach into food from it), cast iron (heats evenly, is virtually non-stick when seasoned correctly, and can provide some iron when acidic foods are cooked in it), ceramic (inert) or glass (also inert).

I stopped using all aluminum (it is not inert, and can leach into foods) and non-stick (it can wear off and particles get in your food, and most of them have warnings on them saying the fumes from the heated pans can kill birds. Doesn't sound that safe to me!) years ago.

For my wedding I received a huge kick ass all clad SS multiply set, but for regular stuff I use cheap nonstick calphalon I get on clearance until they die.
