CoNtRoL tHe DaMaGe OCT!

Hello Ladies...

Well I dropped my resume off at that gym but they aren't hiring right now...:(

Then I went foodshopping. I bought the makings to try my hand at calzones tonight! YUM! I'll let you know how it turns out!

So I had applied to Weight Watchers in the beginning of the week. I got an automated response the next day stating that they would see if my background matched thier needs and get back to me if it did. Well I got an email just a little while ago inviting me to a WW job open house in my area this month! It's no promise of a job. It's not even an interview but IT'S SOMETHING! A RESPONSE! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

I would love to get a job working meetings. I think that would be a great compliment to my future training plans! Fingers crossed!:)

Still haven't worked out yet...I opted to run my errands first b/c I didn't feel like working out anyway. I still don't feel like it...but I will...eventually!:p:rolleyes:

Diana:: Oh crap! If someone offered me $100 to give up something for 3 months I think I would do it too!!!! LOL I gather he is getting the $100 from the bank of MOM if he succeeds in his task? ;) Truth be told, I am not thrilled with the choice of football. At first he was interested in baseball. That was fine but football just seems so much more dangerous to me. :( Not going to disuade him though (and yes, I do think it's a word. Just not sure how to spell it!:p). I'll just pray he doesn't like it! LOL

Ok, that's all for now. BBL!

Hi Girls

Its 3:30 and I am still waiting for my mom and sister:mad: Oh she is soooo sloooooowwww! My sister that is. My mom called around 12 and said that they would be leaving after they ate lunch. I decided to go ahead and do 4DS chest/shoul/tris premix thinking that they would arrive half way through...but nope. I finished it and have even put the baby down for a nap:confused:. It doesn't really matter when I go, I just don't want to get lazy while I'm waiting.

Wendy** Your dinner sounds yummy! I have no clue what I am having. I was going to take something out but I don't even know who is going to be here. I don't know if my sister will be or if she is going to her in-laws and I also don't know if my dad is coming or if he is staying home. So its kind of hard to plan dinner around maybe 2 people or possibly 5! I would love to get a job in a gym...that would be my goal too. We will see where we end up I guess. We will know more tonight!!!!

Diana** I'm not buying anymore dvds either. I am done with buying stuff. I have some there that aren't even open. I don't mind having strangers here b/c everyone is half sensible and your right, they aren't strangers...someone I know knows them if I don't. But it would be a different story if we move away. I wouldn't feel to comfortable. I can't believe you are getting snow before me!!! Its pretty chilly out there today but I am still ok with wearing a long sleeve shirt. At the rate this is going, I'm going to need reflectors cause it will be night time before I get out! I am starting to get irritated now!

I will bbl with a run to report ! (HOPEFULLY!)

Lori:)

I'm back again and still no work out to report!:p

I'm with Lori on the waiting ...I am waiting to get DS from school before working out so I don't have to rush to get there to pick him up when I'm done. I like to be lazy for a little while after a work out b/c I feel like I deserve it!;):D

So I applied to another gym today...online this time...located too far away to be bothered going in person but worth a shot applying online so wish me luck!:)

Lori:: I completely understand you not wanting to train strangers in your home (or in theirs for that matter). I don't want to do that either though many people DO do it! Now if word of mouth could keep your home business going, that would be perfect! That way, like you said, you are connected to the person atleast indirectly so it's not a COMPLETE stranger to everyone. SOMEONE knows the person and knows that they aren't a total wack job!

I've been done my workout for a couple of hours:eek: I had a awesome run. I felt great and the temp was good. I did a 4:39 pace for 12.3 km. I think my legs are going to be sore tomorrow.

Wendy** you might have beat me;)...or maybe not! I read your fb status...lol. Sounds like something I'd do!

My mom is making bread now:eek:. Warm white bread with butter before I go to bed?????? Hmmmmmm....

Bb in the a.m

Lori:)

Hi Ladies,

I made to bodypump and bodystep tonight. Oh my, my legs are already sore...and my chest is screaming at me too. The October rotation starts with Turbo Barre....probably won't be able to walk after that one!

I hope to get a pedicure tomorrow afternoon after my laser appt. Cleaning out closets and kitchen cupboards is on the agenda for this weekend.

So I caved....and ordered Horizontal Bootcamp and a pr. of w/o capris from Amazon. Hey, I had a $10 gift card to use...:p

Lori-glad you finally got your run in! Fresh homemade bread sounds delicious! I'm not very good with yeast...pretty much anything I've made with yeast comes out hard as a rock....must be our high altitude. My dad told me to make sure the yeast was fresh and practice. I don't want to waste my time making bread that has to be thrown away. Enjoy!

Wendy-sorry about the faux pas....it happens. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Hope the calzones turn out...that's something I could probably make to.

Off to watch some T.V. for a bit. BBITAM:)

Good Morning:)

My mom let me sleep in this morning but I still got up shortly after 7. The baby went to bed last night around 6:50 and was up again before 7. We are going to a pumping patch today with the kids and are going around lunch time and I want to get my workout in before we go. I have no clue what I'm doing cause everything still hurts....besides for my abs so maybe that's what I'll do. Cardio and abs. I'm likely to run outside cause my mom is still here.

So Alberta it is. DH seems excited but I'm not sure if he realizes what it will be like being so far away from our families. We now have to make a list of a few detachments and then they will let us know if there is anything available. I would have thought that they would have given us a list to pick from. At least we have some say in the matter. DH thinks that they may change their minds at any point in time but I can't bank on that. I have to come to the fact that we are moving and that's that. I will probably start getting excited later.

Today is our anniversary...11 yrs:eek: I told him I didn't want any flowers, totally waste if money in my eyes. Be different if he had his money and I had mine;) but it all comes from the same pot! There are other things I could buy with $50. I'm going out to dinner tonight with a few friends to celebrate our anniversary...lol...and I'm guessing he will do the same.

Diana** sounds like you had a good workout. Lulu had crops on sale for $59 Thursday morning:)...you missed out. I think you are all just afraid that if you start buying this fine workout gear, then you will be hooked like me:eek:. And to think i will be closer to actual stores and won't have to shop online anymore!

The scale is probably the lowest I've seen it since I've had the baby....a even 120. I'm sure it will be back up a little tomorrow after tonight's meal:p

I might bb later today....depends on how crazy it gets around here

Lori:)

Good Morning. :)

No work out for me today. We are going to a big amusement park here in Jersey so I'll get my exercise walking through it all day.

Lori:: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!! We probably were working out at the same time y'day so we'll call it a draw. :p I have no idea where in Canada Alberta is but I hope that you like it there! 120 pounds is my lowest "good" weight. I got below that at the end of last year when I was having personal issues (down as low as 115.5 at one point!) and I looked too gaunt in the face unfortunately. I'm currently around 123 at the moment. Before vacation I was holding steady at 122. I would actually prefer to be closer to 120 again but I really can't complain. My clothes fit nicely and I look good naked ;) so the scale can say whatever it wants! :p

Di:: Nice job with the body pump classes! I never took a ton of them but I actually miss the opportunity to take classes at a gym these days. Hopefully I'll get myself a job at a gym that offers classes though! :) Nice purchases! You and I must have been sharing a brain because I ordered a few things from Amazon myself y'day! ;) I ordered a new Kundalini yoga dvd, a new Vinyasa yoga dvd and a bottle of flavored liquid stevia to try in my coffee. I spent just enough to get free shipping too! Love it!:p

Ok, not sure if I'll be back later after we get home so have a great day/night if I don't come back and I'll be back ITAM!

Back from my run....did 10.5 k and I did abs before I left. Doing abs first los'ins up my legs before I run.

Wendy** I use to find 123 to be a good weight. If I got any lower my jeans would be falling off of me. After rylan was born I got down to 115 and it wasn't b/c I tried to. Life was just so hectic, my days were early and so we're my evenings. When I went back to work I gained some of it back though. I knew that weight was to low b/c my periods got weird. Right now I can't tell if 120 is a ok weight or not b/c it wasn't that long ago I was 170+. My jeans seem to be baggy in the arse anyway.... Maybe I should work more on that then my arms:eek:. Have fun at the park today! The kids are patiently waiting to go to the pumpkin patch!

Bbl

Hi ladies,

Late post for me today. My day started with my laser appt....followed by grocery shopping, dropping of the football uniforms at the cleaners, library, and kohl's.

A big thanks to Wendy for posting all these amazing recipes.:) I finally made dinner, homemade pepperoni & sausage and calzones, mine was chicken. It was easy to customize each calzone so we could each have what we liked. I have 7 layer bars in the oven for dessert. I don't mind cooking on the weekend when I have more time.

Needless to say....today was a rest day...but I was due anyway. I've exercised the last 7 days. Tomorrow I'm starting the rotation on day 2, bodymax. I have to do the longer w/o's on the weekend. I don't thinking skipping turbo barre is going to hurt me since I hit legs on Wed and did BodyPump on Friday.

Lori-Happy Anniversary to you and Dave! Glad you got your w/o in after all.

Wendy-hope you had a great day at the amusement park. Seriously, thanks for all the recipes. It's nice to have a family meal on the weekends when all the kids are here. During the week is a crap shoot...it's usually just DH and I and we just have a can of soup, sandwich or whatever.

Laura-hope you are hanging in there....hugs and pain free vibes headed your way. I ordered horizontal bootcamp.....you're such an enabler!:p

Good Morning:)

Have no set plans today, other then working out and making some healthy cookies, which I will do shortly. I have no apple sauce is the only problem....trying to find a way to improvise.

We had a great day yesterday. DS was in his glee. He is obsessd with pumpkins so taking him to a pumpkin patch was a dangerous idea:eek: but we got him in and out no problem..he just thinks that he's going back again today, that's all:p

I had a nice evening out with the girls. It was one of those evenings where I could have had a few and went out, I think. The meal was delish as usual.

I'm not sure what today's workout will be. I should get a head start on this weeks UB weight work so if I do that, I will be doing the GS. Tomorrow is thanksgiving here and today is our big turkey dinner...I should probably do some cardio too.

Diana** I enjoy days where I just cook and clean. Not that I like cleaning but it makes me feel accomplished. Like now, I spot clean just in case the real estate company calls and says they need to show my house in two hours. But I do feel the need to really give this place a good cleaning, it's hard with the baby though. DH use to take the kids so I could get some stuff done, obviously he can't do that now.

DH had some driving test this weekend and he passed them all. He's doing do well. He still thinks that there is hope we might be posted east but I told him last night that he needs to stop with that. There is no point in putting ideas in anyone's heads...esp when it comes to our parents. I don't know if my mom has so much on her mind lately or if she just doesnt listen to me but she doesn't hear I word I say. If I told her there was a chance that we could get posted back here, then she would be asking about it non-stop and she would even be asking about when he'd find out more and about the guy who told him..two things that never existed. I was checking out real estate in some areas and I got a little queasy....not b/c of the prices of the homes but just thinking about moving. It's going to be interesting that's forsure!

K...I will bbl to report my workout!

Lori:)

Hi ladies,

I'm a little of my normal schedule....usually I run my errands on Sundays during the football game. I did them all yesterday except my pedicure. There's a new place nearby that's offering $18 pedi's...but they are probably closed on Sunday.

This morning will be BM2 in it's entirety. I usually only do the Cardio Blast premix of this w/o as I much prefer the weight segment in the origianl BM. Starting the Oct rotation today, but with day 2.

Lori-I saw the pics on FB, Rylan was in his element....not so sure about Stephen.;) Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself last night, although not the normal anniversary dinner. Is Alberta close to where your sister lives? I can't imagine not living near my parents. We'd stop by on the weekends and visit for a bit, it was really nice. Now that my parents are gone, it would be hard to move a way from my sister and MIL. You never know where this life will take us.

Wendy-goodness, that rollercoaster didn't scare Joey? When the older boys were 4 and 6, we took them to disneyland. Since I'm from California and my favorite ride was splash mountain....that's what I took the kids on first. It terrified the 4 year old....every water ride we went on after that he would as...."is there a big hill"...he was even afraid of It's a Small World. Learned my lesson! What are you up to today?

Hi Girls

I did PS UB work this morning and I just got back from a 12.5 run, its 4:30 here now..the day is almost over. The baby just went down for a nap..hopefully he will sleep at least an hour cause he was so crabby. I had the heart burn when I was running! WTH? I don't know what caused it...may have been the handful of sharp grapes I had before I went. Its very windy here and I debated even going for a run but Im so glad I did....it was only windy in certain directions.

Diana** Hope you enjoyed BM2, its been a while since Ive done that one. I did it a nice bit after I had Rylan. I remember wearing my HRM and it always told me I burned around 600 cals with that workout. BUT...when I did HSC, I didn't evenly burn 200 cals. Funny how I can remember that so clearly. Rylan had a blast yesterday. He has a few things that he is fascinated with and pumpkins is one of them, I don't know why!

I might bbl tonight. I think I may order a dress for DH's graduation tonight. There are so many nice dresses...its hard to decide. I'd like to have something sleeveless...but its also going to be Dec month! And then I think about the shoe issue...I hate wearing pantyhose or tights...I refuse to wear pantyhose...they're to itchy!

Lori:)

Good Evening Ladies...Better late then never!:p

Today was Church, a little reading from my text book (need to read more tonight though!), a big nap, small work out and I just finished putting together a lasagna for dinner - Turkey-Spinach Lasagna Recipe | MyRecipes.com . Now my boys are making peanutbutter cookies with hershey's kisses on top for dessert while the lasagna bakes.

My work out was Kettlebell BC Burn and Firm (20 min) and Yoga Relax (20 min).

That's all for now.

BBITAM!

Lori:: How in the heck did you manage to weigh in at over 170 pounds when you were pregnant!?!? I didn't even hit 170 and if one of us were going to I would certainly think it more likely would be me! How long did it take you to get the weight off this time? How much did you have to lose once the baby was born? It took me 9 months to lose like 15 pounds. At the time I was fine with it but that's a crazy long time to lose less then 20 pounds I think! Glad your family had fun at the pumpkin patch. Hopefully we will do something like that again this year. We actually carved pumpkins last year and it was a lot of fun. I'd like to do it again!:D Did you order a dress yet?

Di:: So were you able to get your pedi? Around here they offer great deals for a mani/pedi combo at around $25. Unfortunately I can't take advantage b/c it's only for a basic mani and I have wraps. Oh that big coaster scared the daylights outta my kid but he didn't cry! And later in the day he was considering going on it again but we ran out of time! He even wants to grow enough to be allowed on the looping coasters next season! He is definitely his father's son coz he doesn't get that from me! LOL How was the soup??

Hi Ladies,

The rotation calls for HIIT 30/30 and wts/plates abs. That's on the agend for this morning. The temp today is supposed to be mid 70's, but windy. I may venture out for a short run if it's not too windy. I'm talking short, 2-3 miles. It'll be my first time running since the triathlon in August.

Wendy-Dinner was delish....this is recipe I found on skinny taste and the whole family likes it. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've made it. I found a couple other recipes too that I may try out later in the week...they are bookmarked so I can get back to them easily. Losing weight after pregnancy can be difficult, there are just so many changes going on in your body....and in your life. Running was the only thing that seemed to take the baby weight off for me....and then some! No pedicure yet...hopefully one day this week I can get in.

Lori-so did you find a dress? I've never had a problem with panty hose itching, although not that comfortable IMO. I wore them everyday when I had to dress up for work. That ended 7 or 8 years ago and I rarely wear them now. Nice w/o yesterday...UB and running...in the wind no less. That's our warrior!

Laura-hope you pop in today and let us know you are okay. Hopefully the kidney stone has passed and Buster is back to his old self.:)

MON

I am ALIVE!! sore as hell but alive - passed the stone FRI - but think i have a kidney infection - I did NO exercise .. just dont have it in me at all .. maybe today but no garantees. Buster is still with us but going down fast - he wont eat - and is gaunt thin! :(:( breaks my heart and dh is killing me - he is more pittiful than Buster - he cries and I have to be strong - just pitiful! Thnx for all the thoughts and healing vibes - but dont think my baby is gonna be here much longer :(

Lori - saw the pics of the pumpkin patch - OMG do you make cute babies!!! Precious!! Any nibles on the house? You and WEndy are killing me w/the 120# .. I dont think I was at 120 for very long in my life - I once had a bout w/an ED brought on by stress of breaking up w/an @$$o ... got down to 112# .. and OMG ... I was HIDEOUS .. sooooooooooo guant and sunken in .... I wish i could see 130# again  but HA .. dont think that is gonn happen .. I stay right at 138# (and God knows I am prbly up from that right now- i refuse to weigh)... and btw - your pace was 4.25? as in a bit over 4 minute mile??? HOLY CRAP - you dont need wings you already got them!! WOW!!!! WTG ..

Wendy - LOL about the resume' goof up - and good luck w/the WW job fair - what would you be doing ??? keeping fingers crossed for a good response from any of the job hunt!!

Di - good luck on the run today - it is only to be 71 here .. NICE!! ya I hate to miss a day like this to run - perfect!! maybe I can get in one this afternoon - I am afraid of bad news fromDH when he gets home tho :(

OK .. better run .. playing catch up .. but wanted to pop in and let you know I am alive!! hurting a bit still - but alive - and of course sad but it is a fact of life when you have pets!!! have a great one!

BTW: Cathe has pics up from Xtrain on her FB page!! I cant wait!

Hello. :)

Back from the gym, showered and drinking coffee while I wait for my mom to arrive. We are going out to lunch and then to a Halloween themed indoor mini golf place with DS since he is off from school today. :)

I told DS that I we would be going to the gym and then ended up feeling icky. Instead of disappointing him I went anyway walked on the TM instead of running- ITread #21/30min Walk Intervals. It was the perfect choice for me today. I am hoping to fit in some yoga later on...

Laura:: I'm glad that you finally passed the darn stone! Sorry about Buster and how hard DH is taking it. I've been there-watched the family dog go on a rapid decline after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure but live happily on meds for 2 years. It was heart breaking but he lived a good long happy life with us which I am happy for. He died over 10 years ago now but my mom still has a picture of him sitting on a shelf in her house with his old collar hanging over it. I look at it every time I go to her house and :). Hang in there honey! (((HUGS))) If I were to get a job with WW it would likely be at meetings as a receptionist. That's what I applied for. I gues I could have applied to be a leader but I am not that brave. :p I have seen some of the XTrain pics but have yet to cave on purchasing the set. I will never say never though! LOL

Diana:: Hope you enjoyed your work out this morning. That ab circuit routine is nuts! I've done both parts separately and they are tough! Can't imagine doing them back to back like that! Now that the weather is cooling off I am going to venture further into soup making. The butternut squash soup was my first and since it turned out good I am inspired to try others! :)

Guess that's all for now. BBL!

Hi Ladies,

The weather here is beautiful albeit a tad bid windy. I'm about to venture out on a short run/walk.:)

Laura-Hope you feel better soon. Praying for Buster too. I'm fairly certain Lori's 4.25 pace is per kilometer....not mile.:p She's fast no matter how you slice it! I haven't seen 120# since I was a competitive gymnast in High school. My lowest adult weight was 125# when I was following a strict vegetarian diet and running all the time, morning and lunch...weekends etc. I had no muscle tone or definition at all and have no desire to go back to that. I much prefer being heavier and having some shape and muscles!;)

Wendy-what does DS do at the rec ctr...is he in daycare? I'm guessing it must be fun for him or he wouldn't want to go. I didn't do abs this morning, but hope to hit them tonight.

Lori-what are you up to today?

bbl

Hi Girls:)

I can't believe I'm just getting around to checking in. Not b/c I wasn't up early enough. My day started at 6:15 but I had training at 10 and 11 so I headed to the basement and did B&G around 8...had to or I was going to fall a sleep standing up . Then after lunch I did one of the new mindy cycle workouts. It was pretty good. The cardio was only little over 30 mins long but that's ok cause I had some good runs this weekend. Hoping the weather is nice enough to run tomorrow...it's been raining all day.

Wendy** oh yes...the last time I weighed myself I was 172, then it was just to depressing. With rylan the last time I was weighed I was 174 but I started out at 130 I think. This time I started out at less. The thing is though i wasn't eating my face off (I know your thinking "yeah right"). I just went with it and I didn't get stressed out over it. I couldn't be hungry cause that would have made me sicker! I always lose a nice bit right after and the last 20 comes off with work. But with both I had it gone by the time they were 4 months. Sounds like you had a lovely day with your mom. My parents are coming again on Thursday. I'm not sure what I will make my mom do this time;)..clean or bake...clean or bake????

Diana** it's gotten to the point where I've looked at so many dresses that I'm getting confused! Then I decided to wear a nice pair of black dress pants and dress it up. I showed a friend the dress I was thinking about ordering and she loved it and suggested I order black and wear a wrap...but then I'd have to wear *amn pantyhose! She also suggested a wear a wrap dress and some high boots. Now I'm totally confused. I know it's going to be cold. If it were in the summer I wouldn't be having these issues :p How was your run walk? What rotation are you following?

Laura** so you finally passed that stupid thing! Hopefully you as feeling better...minus the infection. Geez...you really need 2013 to roll around:eek: I've been thinking about you and wondering how the dog was. It's not nice. I know I complain about our dog a lot but he really is a good dog. Just wish he wouldnt shed and bark...is that to much to ask?. My pace is in km not miles...lol and I think it was 4:39! Not eve sure what that would be in miles.

I have no training tomorrow. I should get tobed early though. I was in a turkey coma last night after dinner! It was so yummy!

Have a good night everyone!

Lori:)
