O.k...so it's not even 12? :eek: another long day!

My workout so far was ctx shoul,bic,tris and a seg from ab circuits. I was going to do legs and cardio but the baby went for his nap before DS even left for school and woke up shortly after. He's a sleep again now but it's to close to lunch time. I'm still hoping to do a legs and tm circuit. I've also tided the house,cleaned the fridge and picked up groceries!

Wendy** now that I would do! 10-15 mins is probably enough for me. I do have the Jillian micheals one but I can only handle her in small doses. I guess 10 mins is a small dose. I think those workouts are 20 mins long. It's safe enough to run around here at night. I could probably run around naked and no one would still not touch me:p..although that might be pushing it cause I'm so hot and all...bahahaha! Nice run yesterday!

Diana** the cost of living is the same or more out west. I guess it depends on what area we live in. I'm hoping we will know in the next couple of weeks. Then maybe I can look for housing, a job and a sitter if need be. I would prefer not to work, just so I can stay home with the boys but I would like to work on DH's days off if possible, just for socializing if nothing else.

I will bbl to report the rest of my workout!

Hello Again.

My work out is done...for now...I will probably go bike riding with DS after school though! :)

I did one segment of my new Kundalini dvd called Total Tune Up. It has 4 short work outs on it that you can do separately or combine into one long work out. I did the first one called Warm Up and Open Up. It was 30 mins long. I followed it up with The Kettlebell Way Vol 2 The Empire State which is about 40 minutes long and then used Cathe's Muscle Max for a final stretch.

Diana:: Wow, you can't find a bike in Sports Authority for $100 today! Not for adults anyway! :rolleyes: My bike was $100 and DH's was like $150...both purchased from a Walmart. Enjoy doing Muscle Max!

I've eaten my orange so now it's time for a shower and to get on with my day. I think it'll be job hunting, cleaning (didn't realy get to do much y'day after all), laundry and reading/studying...

Hello ladies!!

My sore arse - OMG .. I am STILL SORE!!! :eek: pathetic :confused: I did manage a very pitiful and painful 2 mile short run after work ystdy- I started and man my legs were hurting .. was gonna stop .. but a woman in a baby stroller passed me :confused: and I thought COME ON suck it up Laura - so I did and finished an UNIMPRESSIVE run!! LOL - Today SIL and I met and did heavy weights in the gym - I may do another VERY short run - legs are kinda feeling the heavy weights on top of very painful lingering DOMS!!!

Lori - I WISH I could have caffiene .. I would get a lot more accomplished I think .. but I have been off of it for so long .. my heart would prbly explode!! :p ummmmmmmm.. I have a feeling LOTS of people would notice if you went running naked!! crazy girl - b/c you know you ARE one hot mama!!!! ;)

Wendy - good luck on the aps and job hunt .... and think my body is screaming for some yoga .. the DOMS are worst I have ever had .. but dont think I COULD stretch them if I tried yoga .. LOL

Di - that is just so sad and horrible about that little girl! :( I hope they catch that B@st@rd and fry him!!! :mad:

OK . sooo got my shippin notice .. should be getting in Asylum 2 today .. woot woot .. me and SIL gonna prbly give it a try tmrw .. get ready for another round of complaining from the whimpy one here!! have a great one!
 
Well I was able to read for about 30 minutes before my eyes closed and I was down for a 40 min nap!:p

Laura:: Sorry about the not so pretty run but we all have those days! Kudos to you for not quitting!!! You better do some yoga soon girl before you snap into pieces all over the floor or just can't get outta bed one day coz you are too sore! :eek::p Have fun playing around with the new Asylum set!!! Let us know how it is! Thanks re the job hunt. Not gym jobs this time. I can't necessarily afford to only to apply to gyms at this point so I'm applying every where but more gyms are on the list for the near future!!!!

Good Morning:)

My mom arrived yesterday afternoon and I went for another 12.5 k run AND I got to sleep in this morning. I feel awesome:). I went to bed early too....like 10:30-11'ish. I have training at 9:15, after that I will workout myself. After lunch we are going to run out and do a couple of things.

Wendy** see..I knew it! Knew you couldn't go the whole day without napping:eek: I'm not sure how I made it though those books with no coffee b/c I was pregnant at the time. The sports nutrition course was tak'in from the PT course so apparently I already know it:rolleyes:. I guess I should read some of those chapters through again....when is the question.

Laura** let us know how you like your new workouts. Not that I need anymore. I was tempted to do one yesterday but I pulled ctx out instead. I wasn't the one who passed you with the stroller...I didn't take the baby out yesterday. It w pretty warm here though and I could have worn a tank instead of a long sleeve shirt.

I was lying awake in bed for about 2 hours early this morning so I see a nap coming on at some point today...I just hope I can squeeze a work out in before the exhaustion hits me. :rolleyes:

Speaking of which, today's plan is yoga and Insanity. :D

Lori:: I drank coffee when I was pregnant but I cut back and drank mostly decaf. I drank 1 cup of caffeinated coffee every morning (to avoid a migraine-that's my addiction talking!:eek:) and then switched to decaf. I tried to keep it to 3 cups total per day, which for me normally is like nothing!:eek:

I guess that's all for now but I'll be back!:cool:
 
Hi Ladies,

Melatonin was my friend last night. After several nights of minimal sleep I was basically exhuasted yesterday. Thinking about Jessica's murder has really been keeping me awake, especiall since the killer is still out there. They streamed video of her Celebration of Life but I couldn't bring myself to watch it. Simply too sad for me.

Today is a HIIT w/o, not sure which one though. We have another high wind warning so no running for this girl today.

Laura-I just previewed Asylum 2...may be making that purchase sooner than I thought. It looks amazing! Maybe a cardio only day will help you work out all the soreness and loosen up your muscles a tad...then the next day you can try Yoga.:D

Wendy-Good luck on the job front. Would a part time seasonal job be okay? Lots of stores will be hiring for the Holidays. I guess that could mean weekends though. Just a thought. I too cannot live without my morning coffee. I try to stick to 2 cups....cafeinnated for sure! I may look at some of your kundalini yoga on collage. I like to see video clips before I purchase anything. Any bites on your dvd's? I need to go through my collection and sell some stuff.

Lori-Yay for sleeping in. Enjoy it while you can, even if only for a few days. Please send me your running legs...I need to get back into running. I always enjoy it when I run, I just can't seem to run on a regular basis. It's supposed to be windy the rest of this week, but perhaps the weekend will be better.

Morning Ladies ..

well I am finaly not completly sore .. my hammies/butt connection area is still tight and sore as well as the tris! but overall I am lots better thank goodness - just in time to do it all over again - tonight me and SIL are doing first disc of A2 :eek::eek::eek: yes it is gonna kill me! I didnt ahve time to preview the discs .. but from the description seems there is a lot more weight work to be done in this series .. :eek: .. DOMS again soon!! ystdy - I did manage heavy weights at lunch - then a 3 mile short run after work - then rushed home to ride my baby girl thru the woods! DH seemed a bit better last night - thank goodness!

Lori- i couldnt help but cave on A2 - b/c I loved Asylum so much - it is my go to cardio! I really didnt need it I have so many but HAD to get it!!!

Wendy - you and Lori and your coffee - no wonder you two have so much energy!! LOL .. wish i could drink it!! but both of you like naps too .. HHMMMMMMMMMMM ... I have NEVER been able to nap .. too high strung .. the only time i have ever napped during the day is when I have had the flu!

Di - so sorry about the no sleep - I can only imagine if that happened here - ya .. hard to sleep or concentrate or feel safe w/a killer .. especially a CHILD killer on the loose! {{{{ hugs }}}} I will be reporting on the A2 .. from the reviews on the other forums it sounds like it is gonna be awesome!

Back to report my work out!

Kudalini Yoga - Total Tune Up:: Firm and Affirm (30m) followed by Insanity:: Plyometric Cardio Circuit! Felt great! :eek: Well...sort of!:p;):D

Diana:: Amazon doesn't have any video previews of the Kundalini dvds I've been buying but if you go to youtube and search ana brett you should find a bunch of clips. I'm warning you to be prepared though coz it's wierd!!-lots of singing/chanting of mantras, meditations, strange exercises...Good job with your HIIT work out! I saw the post on FB! Nothing so far on my dvds I am selling but I haven't checked yet today. I'll be listing some on Ebay as well in the next couple of days once my paypal account is reactivated. Speaking of which - nice surprise - I found out that I have had $25.00 sitting in my PP account for like 3 years now since I last used it! LOVE finding $$$$$!:D Glad the melatonin served you well. ETA--checked my amazon account and I got my first sale! That much closer to owning Asylum now! ;)

Laura:: So I guess the mere thought of adding more yoga to your work out schedule strikes such fear in your heart that DOMS instantly improves, huh? :D:p I gotta say that I was never a napper until after my son was born! Glad DH seems to be feeling better! It can take time but he'll snap out of it!

I'm super excited/nervous! I filled out an online application early this morning for a gym and the operations manager called me to set up at interview already! I have to be there at 9am! Fingers crossed!!!!:D

Hi Ladies,

The rotation calls for KPC today. I hurt my knee yesterday walking up the stairs....after 40/20. I was almost at the top of the stairs and I got this sharp pain in my right knee. It hurt most of the day yesterday but I'm walking on it fine. It's a little sore this morning too, and the pain seems to be on the outside or right side of the knee. I may have to modify the kick/punch combos a bit.

This is are 3rd day of high wind warnings. Over 50,000 homes lost power on Tuesday...thankfully I wasn't one of them. There are downed trees and limbs everywhere.

Wendy-Good Luck, hope the interview goes well!

Laura-OMG, I previewed Asylum 2...I love it and will be springing for it at the end of the month! I can't wait to hear your reviews of it. I don't usually preview most w/o's anyway...sometime I will a step w/o but that's it...and it doesn't happen very often. The police, FBI and CBI kept a close eye on Jessica's service as they thought the killer may show his face. Just yesterday there was an attemped abduction but the 14 yr old boy was able to get away. He ran away from the car but the driver chased him down...but the boy was able to break free and run home. So scary.

Lori-hope you are enjoying visiting with your mom...while she does all your chores!:p

THURS - one step closer to weekend!

ASYLUM 2 REVIEW :::: (dont read if you dont want to be enabled) OK – A2 – Xtrainer – AWESOME – just a fun fun fun workout – it has a learning curve to it tho – the steps are intricate and fast (I was lost on some of them) – once I get them it will be even funner and harder – LOTS of different agility and speed drills – but never the same .. fast pace .. no rest .. PLUS muscle work .. there were speed drills – agility drills – pushup/core plank combos – weights for combo squat – burpee – up to over head presses - just AWESOME fun – I had to modify the pushups (loads of tricep pushups and mine were still dead from SAT) – the moves were controlled and not frantic .. just FUN!~!!

I LOVED THIS WORKOUT and am SO EXCITED to do the next one!! DOMS: core and tris – tonight it is UPPER ELITE – from a short preview on FB .. looks like combo moves of cardio/agility and upper body weights – core and chest presses – TONS of pushups and plank work – more agility – then overheads and bis and tris – more core and chest – I like that he is combining the weights and agility .. J ....right up my aly!!! ;-)

Wendy - hoping the interview goes awesome! go rock it girl!! I am keeping fingers and toes crossed for you!!! let us know when you get back how it went!!

DI- OH NO that dont sound good - a serial child abductor/killer perhaps???? OMG .. I pray they catch that sick B@st@rd .. I know your town must be scared to death for the kids - hopefully the police/FBI will do swift work of this!! OK - as you read above .. I have only done one of the disc .. but OMG .. AWESOME ... is all I gotta say - YES I would say off that ONE workout .. BUY THIS SERIES!!!!

I didnt - last night was my first night alone in the house w/o my baby Buster - didnt realize how safe he made me feel - it seems Toots is taking up his slack tho - she seems more alert and attentive than she usually is! just an adjustment for all of us! I am working on not much sleep today!

OK .. it is dreary out - and I have errands at lunch - then meeting SIL for the second workout - UPPER ELITE! woot woot - I am excited! have a great one!
 
Hey Ladies. :)

I'm back. The interview was at 9. I was out of there before 10 but then went to visit friends who work nearby for a bit. Just got home a little while ago...

The interview went well. There are 2 part time positions available, one of which I will probably take! The position at the location I interviewed at is a desk/phone job placing "courtesy calls" to members whose dues are unpaid due to expired credit cards and such. Thanks but no thanks. :confused: The other job is what I was really looking for - front desk - at another location close by. The manager that I interviewed with said she is actually re-locating to the other club so I would be working for her there. I'm glad the job is at the other club b/c the club I visited is a dump. :( It used to be a different gym and is still set up how they left it. This gym took over but hasn't renovated yet. She said they are waiting to find out if they will renovate or relocate instead. She said the other facility (where I would be working) looks like what the gym is supposed to look like so that's good. Anyway, I would be working Mon, Wed, Thurs from 9am to 2pm and Tues from 9am to 1pm. No weekends, no nights, Fridays off and no aftercare required for my son!!!!:D They are aware that I am certifying as a trainer and accept the cert I will be getting so I should have no problem tranferring over to the P/T dept when the time comes.

All I have to do now is call unemployment (the worst part!:eek:) to make sure I won't be screwing myself $$ wise by taking this job! If not then it's mine! I am calling her back today either way to let her know! :D

I am still considering attending the WW open house next week if I can. If I've started working I won't be able to but if not then I'm gonna go. Maybe I can p/u a few more hours with them or something. You never know....

I assume I am also going to have to still technically look for full time employment since I'll still be collecting...It'll be a PITA but there's nothing I can do about it. It's also a bit of a commute considering the $$ I'll be making but it's the break I needed so I feel like I need to suck it up for now.

Ok, off to make the phonecall to Unemp! Then a work out!

Hello Ladies.

After a disappointing and kinda scarey call to unemp, lots of stressing a couple lengthly phone conversations with my mom, I have finally decided to accept the job offer. There were/are several concerns that come with accepting the position, most of which stem from what unemployment told me, but after talking them out with my mom, I am feeling a bit better about them and know that this is what I need to do.

Basically unemp told me that although they sort of "reward" me for working part time as opposed to doing nothing in terms of $$, if I quit (without another job lined up) and they don't feel my reason was justified they can/will pull ALL of my unemployment benefits! ALL! REALLY!? I don't HAVE to work part time! I only HAVE to look for FULL time work so if I am willing to go to work for whatever hrs/pay I can get instead of sitting around doing nothing while I look for full time work, why on earth should I be punished if I leave the job!? :mad: It makes no sense to me at all but whatever :rolleyes:....Well anyway, that is what is causing me all of the heartache. I want to take the job but knowing leaving if it's not working out isn't going to be so easy is making me worry about all of the "what ifs" that could happen! :eek::rolleyes::confused::( I bounced all of these concerns off my mom and somehow she made every single one of them seem pretty dang insignificant! God love that woman...and moms every where! :)

Okay, just needed to get that out...Thanks for listening. ;)

So it took ALL DAY LONG but I FINALLY worked out around 4pm today. Managed to squeeze in BH's Kettlebell Sculpted Body but no time for yoga....If I get off this stupid computer though I can squeeze in 30 minutes before bed if I want though so maybe there's still hope!:)

Tmrw's plan is cardio (run or Insanity) and yoga. I'm sure you ladies aren't surprised! LOL I've decided to do this particular "rotation" until the end of October and then I will change it up some how.... I will have actually done a rotation of yoga/Insanity/running/bells for OVER a month straight with no exercise ADD by then! AMAZING!!!! :D:p

Good Morning Ladies,

I'm working from home today and plan on going to bodypump this afternoon. I really want to get some cardio and abs in this morning. I'm a mess though, my foot, knee and shoulder are all hurting this morning. Not sure what I will do yet....maybe Horizontal Bootcamp...the cardio in that shouldn't bother my knee. I've really been wanting to do Intensity but don't think I can keep up with the fast pace with my pain.

Wendy-that is great news on the job front. I've never used unemployment but have heard it's kind of an all or nothing situation. I can understand why you were struggling with this decision. Even if it ends up not being a good fit, I'm sure you can manage until you get your PT cert and can start looking elsewhere. Don't expect the worse right off the bat though....where is your positive energy??? By the way, I previewed the Kundalini yoga and think I would be more likely to do this type since it seems more interactive than just holding a pose and breathing.

Laura-I'm super excited to order Asylum 2...looks amazing and tough. I struggle keeping up with some of the drills in orginal Asylum. Glad Toots is picking up the slack so to speak. Any word on a new puppy? It's very scary with a child killer on the loose...I used to run around that lake....most of us aren't running in that neighborhood anymore. We're adults and we are afraid.

Lori-I can't imagine why you're not checking in. Your mom is obviously doing everything for you..so what's your excuse?:p

Hello again ladies. :)

I just finished my yoga work out and I am a sweaty mess. Yes, that's right. I said I am a sweaty mess from doing yoga! You heard me right! :p

This time I did the longer more advanced option on my new Aim True dvd. It's called Authentic Flow - 45 mins long. Again, a different pattern of movements then what I am used to along with lots of new moves! It was definitely challenging and slightly confusing at times but I enjoyed it alot and look forward to doing it again! :D

I am hoping to fit in a run or Insanity today as well. I need to hit the food store though and would also like to take a ride to the gym where I would be working to see it and time the commute since I interviewed at another location so we'll see how much time I have left...

Diana:: Yeah, definitely don't push the cardio if you are feeling "bad" pain right now. Be careful! So you are considering giving Kundalini Yoga a try huh? Good for you! I was freaked out by it at first but I love it now! :) No better deal then working from home on a friday huh? ;) I wasn't feeling the positive energy for a while there y'day. I was totally stressed and confused. :(:confused: I'm more secure in my decision today and excited to get started but ofcourse I called the manager 2x already this morning and left messages for a call back which I am still waiting for..... :confused: The first call was just before 9am and she was on the phone...the second was 10 mins ago and she was with a member and I was told she'd c/b in 5 mins...:rolleyes:

No workout to report - SIL canceled on me - and my DOMS got worse as the day progressed - so I took a rest day - went home and took Toots for a ride ..SHE was happy w/the decision :p my core is STILL sore .. yowza! it hurts to laugh or breath in hard!!

Wendy - congrats on the job - and no that reasoning w/the unemployment dont sound right - but then again NOTHING our government does is right!!!! I think this is a good move for you tho - it gets you experience in the field PLUS a foot in the door!!! IA w/your mom and Di - KEEP POSITIVE - go into it w/a positive attitude!! great workouts - I dont think my mind could stay still enough for the kundlani yoga .. it barely can settle to do power yoga w/the constant flow .. what can I say I am a space cadet!! LOL

Di - I saw on the news they got a break on that murder case - they now have a description of the guy .. although it is kinda nondescript to me .. but maybe some good solid leads will come from it - no I would not be jogging alone anywhere near that area right now - if you go jogging make sure to have a partner!! DH actually talked about the process of getting a new pup - we have found breeders in AS, NC, KY, and hoping the one the GA will come thru ... man those dogues are pricey tho!!!

Hello to our MIA Lori - hoping your absence means all is well and your mother is spoiling you and you are just too busy working out and training to get here!!

OK .. better run - I am gonna try to do the upper elite today! TRY . you know it is FRI - CABS day - DATE NIGHT - and DH on nights .. sooooo I am limited on time today!! :p Tmrw is power legs - then I am meeting some besties and decorating for the haunted hay ride next weekend .. LOL .. have a great one!
