Control the Damage March month

Hi Ladies,

I'm feeling the need for a Cardio sweatfest today. I'm waiting to hear back from friend to see if she's going to meet me for some more bike training. I wrecked twice yesterday and am thinking the grass would be much kinder to me than the pavement was yesterday. Once I know when we will be meeting up, then I can get my w/o on.

We are going to MIL's for dinner tonight and tomorrow night. DH's uncle and cousin are here so we will be spending time with them. I also need to go grocery shopping as I've signed up for another 30 day Raw Smoothing Challenge. I enjoy having the shopping list ahead of time and most of the smoothies are pretty good.

Jerod and I met with a dietician on Thursday and it went pretty well. The reason for this meeting is his cholesterol and triglycerides are high and he is also pre-diabetic. It was nice having a medical professional tell him what he should and shouldn't be doing. Perhaps he will listen to her more than me.

Lori-OMG, you lost the ring....so glad you found it. I bet your blood pressure was off the charts when it was missing. Funny you mention skinny jeans...which obviously look good on you. They recommend these skinny jeans for hippy chicks like me...no idea why...I look like a stuffed sausage. I do need stretchy jeans though to fit over my thighs.

Laura-Love the name, Sir Brutus!!! So he likes your CABs, good taste must run in the family. Good Luck at Wallyworld! I need to pick up a bouqet of flowers for my MIL somewhere.

Hi Wendy, Jacque and TG.

Hey Girls:)

I've done half of my workout. I did ctx UB and core 2 abs. It was a nice change from xtrain and I have a feeling I'm going to be sore tomorrow. DH is suppose to get off at 4 and I'm gonna go for a run then. Even if he doesn't get home until 5. I'll run while he cooks:D. I have steaks marinating and ill have a salad already prepared.

Diana** so is jerod overweight or is it all just genetics? To bad...he's so young. Hopefully he can't get it under control while he is still young. But when your his age those things don't seem to be that important. Esp when all of your friends around you are eating junk. Lol at the sausage! Hope you get your sweat feat in

Bbl!

Hey girls,

I went for a 3+ mile run earlier then went to the park and practiced clipping in/out, stopping, starting etc for about 30 minutes. Then my training partner came over and we went for 12.7 mile bike ride. Although I crashed twice yesterday, today...no road rash. I think I've got it down now.

Lori-Jerods issue are definitely genetic, but you and I both know that's only part of the picture. Obesity runs in both DH's and my family. DH's dad was obese, DH is overweight although he's been eating much better and has lost 40#s. My dad was overweight and his sisters were obese. These are some of the reasons I workout, I would be as big as a house if I didn't. Just because you're predisposed to something, doesn't mean you shouldn't do things to help yourself. The dieticians focus was on getting Jerod to make healthier choices and lower his cholesterol/triglycerides, and prediabetes status.

Time to shower and head to MIL's.

Good Morning. :)

Friday's work out actually got done before I left the house to go to the gym-TF Fire 45 EZ. When I got home later that afternoon JNL Fusion was on my doorstep so that's what I did y'day morning-Shoulder Shredder-and I loved it! :D Today will be the next work out on the JNL rotation schedule, which IIRC is called Lower Body Fusion. Can't wait! :)

As for interning on Friday...I ended up spending 4 hours there! We role-played sales stuff, I watched him train someone and then we talked more about how to sell successfully. He is going to finish filling out my internship p/w so I can send it in to get my certification and in the mean time we will continue to work on selling. He also told me that he got into a gym that is closer to my house so we will meet there one day so I can check it out. He said if I like it, I can train there instead of where I've been interning or train at both if I want. He also said a trainer there is leaving so I could inherant 4 clients right off the bat if I was to train out of that gym!:D

BBL for personals-almost time for Church! Oh, that reminds me-HAPPY EASTER! :)

Happy Easter Ladies!

We are going to MIL's this afternoon. I've made 2 desserts, a cream cheese peanut butter pie and reese's bars. I'm also bringing over a relish tray. It will be a fun family day!

I ended up getting in a ride yesterday after my training partner showed up, 12.7 miles. I'm feeling a bit more confident on my bike, but definitely more practice is in store. I think I may head out for a short run this morning, another 3-4 miles is sounding doable. The rotation calls for CLB, and as much as I like Xtrain, I'm ready to move on. I wonder what Cathe's April rotation will entail. Of course I still have Combat that I haven't done all the workouts from yet too. I don't plan on getting locked into a rotation though since tri training will be kicking into gear soon.

Lori-I saw your Easter pics on FB. What fun!! So you seriously run with all that snow on the ground??? I hope to talk to my gd's today. I'm going to wait a bit to call them since they have church this morning.

Wendy-Sweet!! Sounds like a great way to start your business, with 4 existing clients! Everything is starting to fall into place for you! Yay!!

Hi Jacque, Laura and TG. Hope you all have a great day!

Hi Girls:)

I don't like that I'm only getting here at night on the weekends! What happened to the mornings of sipping my coffee and chatting?? Maybe when my parents come!

Yesterday I did ctx UB and I did a 9k interval run outside. It was funny cause I ran on a trail and while I was sprinting I passed to guys and you should have seen the looks on their faces! Lol I'm guessing they thought it was my normal pace!

Today was fun but DS was the only one who really cared. DD went back to bed and the baby just did whatever....every time I looked today he was eating another chocolate he had found..wrapper and all. He's a pig...he has such a crazy appetite!

Today I was suppose to meet a couple of the girls for a run so I got a earlier workout in b/c I knew running with them wasn't going to be much of a challenge for me. I did 15 mins of cardio mixed in with one of the B&G premixs and my legs were on fire the whole time. I guess from yesterday's run....anyway, they ended up backing out on me. One b/c her husband wouldn't be home in time and the other I guess didn't want to go b/c the other girl wasn't going.

Diana** there isn't that much snow here actually. And as long as it isn't on the roads I don't care. The roads are wide and dry. Apparently everyone at home got pounded with snow last week. My running partner sent me a pic of her driveway. I don't think we get snow like that here. It doesn't snow much but it's so cold it stays for a while. Everyone says that this winter is longer though...just for me maybe:p. I feel for Jerod...damn genetics! We don't have obesity on either side of my family but my dads side has a few issues, high blood pressure and diabetes. And neither b/c they are over weight.

Wendy** you've had a busy weekend. Sounds like the internship is going good. Just a few months we were whining (well...I still do but for different reasons!) and now look at us!

I will bb tomorrow!

Lori:)

Hello Ladies. :)

This morning was JNL TKO Fat Blaster and her stretch. Great work out!
Tonight I go to the PT Studio for a small group class. It'll be my first time participating in a class. I'm sure I'll get my azz whooped good!

At the suggestion of the PT Studio owner/trainer that I am interning with, I just signed up on a site called www.ptonthenet.com . It's filled with tons of good info for trainers! Can't wait to have time to go through it! :)

Lori:: Don't feel bad-I have lots less time here as well. Man, I haven't done CTX UB in ages. It's a great work out though! I also haven't run in months but I'm sure once I start working at the gym I will start running on the TM again!

Diana:: Your desserts sound delish! We had chocolate cream pie for dessert-which I happen to LOVE! :D Glad you are seeing progress on your bike. That's fantastic!

Laura:: You don't have to keep the dog crated once he learns not to mess in the house but for potty training it's much easier and you can put the crate where ever you like so if you want to keep it away from Toots, you can!

BBL!
