Hi Cathe!
Yesterday I finally made it all the way through Cardio Kicks for the first time, though modifying a lot. I've been building myself up to it (and I've been exercising for a long time anyway) but I could tell I'd be too sore if I went all-out, all the way through.
As the workout finished, I felt so good that I actually found myself skipping! Did it without thinking about it, and laughed when I realized it. Imagine a 46-year-old woman skipping in her den after doing a workout. Glad my teenage daughters didn't see it, they'd think I've really lost it. But I felt SO GOOD. That workout must do something extra for my endorphin level. Anyway, I just thought you might smile at the thought of your influence over the miles!
I've also been doing the Slow & Heavy series and I have a suggestion. In at least one place, you mention that it would be nice if they made in-between-size weights. I figured out a way to accomplish that. I have a couple pairs of the doughnut-shaped wrist weights (a l# pair and a 2.5# pair). When I feel like I could go up a little but not a lot, I'll either slip on the wrist weights or just hold them with the dumbbells. I think (?) the doughnut-shaped wrist weights work better for that purpose than the wider ones, or the ones that strap on with velcro. For example, I can't do bicep curls with 20# dumbbells--at least, not yet--but sometimes I like to do a set with a "16# pair" or a "17.5# pair".
Just a thought to pass on...
Thanks for your excellent stuff!
Chris
