Compilation DVDs

Hello everyone,

I just ordered the Hardcore Extreme DVD and wonder if I should keep it or return it. Have any of you purchase this or other similar compilation DVDs like Terminator? What do you think of it? Does the work out seem seamless from one to another; as these DVD are compiled from all of the other workouts in the series. Are they effective? I initially liked the idea of a 70 mins workout.

I am wondering if I should just stick with the DVDs with one or two workouts on them, and mix and match myself.

Your opinions are much appreciated.

Hi Yen. Hardcore Extreme and Terminator are definitely worth it. They are favorites of mine. They both have awesome workouts on them. They are definitely effective. I just did Hardcore Extreme Hi/Lo this morning. They are all intense, challenging, long workouts. The only thing about this one is I change my step height from 8" on the Low Max intervals to 6" on the IMAX 3 intervals. It also has the Kick Max Blast Challenge. Hardcore Interval Circuit is High Step Challenge mixed with IMAX 3. Hardcore Blast plus Legs is IMAX 3 mixed with Kick Max Blast Challenges and the Kick Max Leg Conditioning Drills. I do all of the workouts on Hardcore Extreme and it is one of the DVDs I reach for quite often.

I have viewed the Terminator and Hardcore Extreme DVD's and have the Body Blast Timesaver compilation.

Terminator and BB mixes are pretty smooth, but HE workouts look more choppy, definitely not 'seamless." I tried one of them out before Ebaying the DVD, and the choppiness was a bit annoying.

The Timesaver compilation is nice in that it is a 4-day rotation, with some bonus footage that isn't on the other BB DVD's.

Many people like the Terminator workouts, but they just didn't fit into what I was interested in doing at the time (and they are primarily cardio + weights, which makes them harder to fit into a rotation, at least when I first got them).

The Terminator is quite seamless. There's enough time to grab your weights and if you want to grab water you can always press pause. My favorite circuit workouts are on Terminator. The Gauntlet and the Viper are a lot of fun, challenging and get the sweat flying.
Hardcore Extreme is choppier. It takes a while to get the flow of Hardcore Extreme #1, but once you do it's a fantastic circuit workout. The Hardcore Extreme that switches between 6" and 8" step really gives you a good workout (just make sure you keep your head up during the step height changes to prevent light headedness). The Hardcore Extreme that switches between kickboxing and interval max 3 is very challenging, but you'll be so proud when you finish it.

I would definitely keep Hardcore Extreme and get Terminator if you don't have it already.
