Good Morning!

I can't beleive i was the last one to check in yesterday? Just the 3 of us?:eek: Belinda should be home soon...I guess...stupid Italy!}(

Im up to do my workout before work. Going to do Chest and cardio. I thought about doing PUB and 4DS Chest but I have a feeling it may not get in there like the GS's do? Although, in saying this, I haven't done 4DS in a few weeks so maybe I will get DOMS?

I will return when I get to work!

Good Morning Ladies!!!

Yesterday was a busy day, but I was able to fit in PUB and am feeling it today! On Saturday afternoon after my run...DH and I took our dog to the park and walked on their walking track for a bit. Probably only did about a mile or so due to some bad flooding on the trail, but it was still nice to get out in the nice weather. Later that day we went to my city's new Ikea store and did a ton of walking there!

Yesterday I went shopping with a girlfriend and did even more walking. So by the end of yesterday my good ol' knee was starting to get sore. I iced it good before bed and am taking it easy today. Depending on how it feels later, I may try another light jog or some more walking. I don't want to push it though...it was just starting to feel better! I ordered one of the GS upperbody workouts last week and it should be here today...I can't wait!

Amelia--Good luck with your goals this week...they are good ones. I really need to try that whole not cheating thing...haha. Lately, I haven't been doing so well on the eating front. Too many temptations!!!

Cheryl--Good luck on your next diet phase as well. You are brave to start it while on a business trip, but if anyone can do it, it's you!!! You've done awesome thus far!

Lori--have a good day at work! Sounds like you got a good workout planned for today.

Belinda--are you back from Italy yet? We miss you!!

wow,there was only the three of us that posted yesterday? Where is everybody nowadays??

Lori-Im glad you were able to run outside agian yesterday,and ds had a good time too! How was he this morning,still whiny? Enjoy your workout today! I see your still doing the one body part rotation! How long is your rotation agian?

Cheryl-I cant imagine trying to stay on a diet while traveling,it must be difficult! I guess i could pack a cooler and make daily visits to the grocery store! What do you eat when you travel like that,smart choices at resturaunts? Congrats agian on your weightloss!

Belinda,how was Italy? Im sure your still either traveling or sleeping;-)

Sara,morning...dontcha just love walking,its such an easy workout. Maybe your knee won't give you any problems today so you can get your walk/run inn! Your gonna SO LOVE those gs workouts. They give me doms just about every time! I LOVE them!

Today is gs legs and abbs from another workout! I like PUB abbs the other day,but i couldn't do those pikes at the end :-( maybe something to work towards!

Hey Gals!:)

Prehaps it was just a busy weekend for everyone, see we are chatter already:)
Todays workout ended up being....PUB/MM/ME/4DS Chest (to many push ups) and Imax 3. Lets see how my chest feels tomorrow.
Why do we let the scale determine how our day is gonna go? For some reason, after my workout, I decided to hop on the scale...only to see 124.8 starring back at me? WHF is up with that? My eating as been good and I don't "think" I ate to much salt yesterday so now I have this # engraved in my skull for the rest of the day! Its been a little jumpy...don't suppose I need new batteries?

Sara** My knees started to feel a little weird this weekend. When I was walking up the steps I could feel them but I had no problems when working out. Funny,hey? Sounds like you had a good weekend though!

Ameila** This is only my 2nd week working one body part per day. I was gonna do circuit work a little longer but I missed the weights. On my way to work I was thinking, I love lifting heavy but hate to see the scale go up..can't stand it! But now that I have gotten into heavy lifting, I can't seem to give it up, its like an addiction or something. Have fun with your workout today! Do the floor work this time!!!

As much as I dislike going to work and shipping DS off to the sitters, I am always ready for a break after I have been home a couple of days. For some reason, everytime I tried getting him dressed yesterday, he would start pushing backwards with his body and hitting his head off of my chest. If I hadn't had a good grip on him he would have slipped out of my hands oh....about 20x's yesterday.
Alright, muct do some work!!!

Hi, everyone, ready for Monday??? Looks that way.

I ended up only doing the bike ride yesterday so this morning it's Muscle Max. Woo hoo!

Amelia, I will pack some protein shakes and just make smart choices at restaurants. It'll be okay. I'd rather have the structure or this two weeks could end up being the excuse to do some real damage, if you know what I mean.

Sara, great job on PUB! Sorry your knee is hurting again. That's the pits.

Lori, wow on your workout today. All those weights AND imax3??? Very good.

Lori,this is my third day without weighing...im going for eight days in total:eek:! Ive already put the scale in the trunk of the car just so i don't get tempted come thursday when i know the scale will be down! I too wonder if i was to stop lifting heavy, would the scale be kinder to me? It would have to be muscle lost though? wouldn't it? I also love lifting heavy,im waiting for my DH to wake so he can spot me during my squats,going for 80lbs. sigh,i wish i had a sqat rack,or the room for one,LOL!

Cheryl-what kind of protien shakes do you drink? im almost out of mine...i need to order some more.

ok,going to get PUB/UB overwith...doing it twice}(!I will really,really,REALLY try to do the pikes,even if i have to pause and take a break!

Im suppose to measure today,but i think I will wait unti my WI on saturday!

Ameila** Im seriously starting to think about going with how my clothes fit and taking measurments once a week, it makes more sense when you are lifting heavy. The number in the scale, is just that, a number, why does it have to be the decision of a good day or bad day?
I chuckled when I read where you put your scale to...prehaps I should do the same!
I went to my friends house the other evening to pick up a pair of pants she had a loan of plus I wanted to borrow her brown pair that she wore christmas time. Her kids have been really sick lately and she has spent alot of time at the hospital, so I guess her eating as been everywhere. Not that this kills her by no means b/c the scale can never be low enough for her. When she handed me the pants she told me that the brown ones were falling off of her now and that they probably wouldn't fit me either. Call this twisted, but I used this as a gauge to see if we were the same size. Why do I feel like I am competing with her? You know...this feels really good to get this off of my chest.I have felt like this for yrs and am only ever mentioning it. Prehaps I feel like she is trying to compete with me and since I have lost all the baby weight and more besides, she as never once mentioned that I am smaller then I was before. Nor as she asked me how I did it. She is the only friend that I have that I feel like I am competiting with. We have never talked about each others weight or anything like that...so its not out in the open and it may be all ME! I kind of think it irritates her though when someone she hangs out with is smaller then her, but then again, this could just be ME and she may not think twice about what someone weights or doesn't weigh. Do any of you guys have friends you feel like this with? I don't want to post this on the OD forum, it would open to many cans of worms! My weight usually stays the same while hers goes up and down with stress. Right now she may only weight 120 but in a couple of weeks she may be back up to 125.And she doesn't workout.
On the way home from picking up the pants I was wondering...will I fit into them? Will they be to big? Or will they be to small...which means, she is smaller then me? I hate feeling this way, any thoughts?

Lori, yes, I have some thoughts. No matter what your friend is doing or what her motivation is - all you can control is yourself. So when she makes those remarks, I would suggest you think to yourself "Whatever competition I'm being tempted to feel with her is a motivation to do my own best - and that's all that matters - so I'll accept it to the extent it's a good thing for me - and anything beyond that, I know I'm doing what's healthiest and best for me, and I vow to myself not to care."

So make it a good thing - and don't let it mess with your head or affect you in any way beyond that. Just my thought.

Amelia, I've tried all kinds of protein shakes - getting single serving packets from the healthfood store to see what I like - and I even have a giant back of ECA from Costco. I like to use 1 cup pasteurized egg white as the fluid and about 100-110 calories worth of protein powder to make a total of 39-40 grams of protien for not more than 220 calories, tops... and then if i want, I throw in a serving of fruit and generally 4-5 ice cubes.

Last weekend I got a packet of Xanthem gum and a packet of Guar Gum (they're both like a flour but they're actually a thickening starch that's lo carb) to put a bit in each protein shake to make it thick and pudding like, which I like. I tried that Xanthan and whoa boy - a tiny bit goes a long ways - I just about broke down my new blender. It was so stiff it stood up by itself and I had to eat it with a spoon like marshmallow cream. A little goes a very long ways - but I do like thicker creamier protein shake like a milkshake (makes it much more filling as well).

I'm now big on doing at least one protein shake a day as part of my calaorie allotment. I'm doing so much better with some more protien, all the way around. But that's my tidbits.

okay, I'm rambling. Back to work.

Cheryl,I love those think protien shakes too. Im trying to find some that i can purchase around here,ya know...in the boon docks;-). Right now im purchasing them from vitacost.com but the last time i ordered from them my CC had a mysterious charge on there that took weeks to straighten out x(. Ive been using the bsn protien shakes. Your shakes sound delish!! I will write down the names and see if i can find them around here. If nothing else,i can get them at the local mall @ GNC. Hopefully in single servings.

I didn't drink any protein shakes last week and on my heavy lifting days i would be so hungry. so this week im bringing them back to see what happens....

Lori-Cheryl gave you some good advice as well.(just came from the challenge thread)you mentioned that you kinda quit talking/hanging with this friend in the past. Is she is bothering you,then maybe it is time to take that kind of action agian!? I would, i did with one of my friends.:-( Sometimes you just have to ask yourself..what iam i getting out of this friendship?

OK girls,im finished with my workout( ican't remember if ive posted that already or not??? DUH) Oh well,i'll do it agian;-). I did gslegs standing(no way the floor)and pub/abbs twice(minus the pikes:-+)
