Hi all. MMA Kickbox done. . . I was supposed to do it last night, but I was too tired. I made yesterday my rest day.
I have been thinking a lot lately about something. When I was in high school and in college I loved to write. I stopped writing once I became a teacher and a mom. Life just "got in the way." It has always bothered me that I gave it up, but it is bothering me more and more lately. I was really very good. I even won awards in high school and college for my stories. Anyway, I started doing some research and Stony Brook has a MFA program for creative writing, as well as an advanced certicate program. I am thinking about maybe going back to school part-time and getting back into writing again. The fact that they have an advanced certificate program is really enticing. I do not have to commit to a full degree, and I can still take the many of the same classes (the MFA is 36 credits, the certifcate is 16). I don't know. I go back and forth on it. It would be more time away from the boys, although if I do the certificate program it would really be one night a week, which is not so bad. It would be adding to my workload. On top of grading papers and keeping up with plans and everything else, I would be adding more deadlines and responsibilities. Then again, if I don't go for it, I may really regret it. I think it would be a good example for my boys too, that it is never to late to go for something you want. . . education does not have to end when you reach a certain age. . . you always can learn more and do more. Anyway, I have a lot to think about.
Cookie- good for you for taking the day off. Sometimes we just need to do that for our own sanity! Did your sciatica settle down? the rain was so depressing. I was happy to see the sun out all day today.
Belinda- I have lost a few pounds. I was 145 when I started using it after the holidays. I am down to 138, although I have not logged that weight in yet to MFP. I keep "forgetting" to make my food journal open to friends. I get kind of embarrassed with my cheating, lol.

Deb- My younger DS is not all that interested yet, but he does have a good arm with throwing and he is a lefty, so my husband really wants him to play next year. That should be interesting having the two of them play. The will be in different age divisions, which would mean baseball 4 nights a week!

Okay, I am tired. BB tomorrow. TGIF!!
