Commit to get fit & lean for June!

Good Morning:)

Another day under my belt. Yesterday was even busier then the last. I tired to workout in the a.m but it wasn't that great of a workout. I did one of my new Bob Harper ones...but I had to stop in between and all that crap and I never did get to finish the whole thing. I had planned on spinning later in the day but a friend text me and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the playground with the boys after dinner so that's what I did. When I got home from that my inlaws were here staining DS's playhouse and some other friends showed up while I was weeding the front lawn. By the time everyone left and I got the kids settled it was after 10  So not much down time.

Not sure what I have on the go today...not a whole lot of anything I'm guessing. I need to get a good workout in this morning. And after lunch I will probably continue to weed that front lawn! Hopefully the baby will have a nice long nap so I can do so.

DH is doing great...he said it was a little over whelming for the first day but he's good. DS was excellent yesterday too. He was put in a time out on Tues and if anyone walked by my house at that time, they would have thought I was making away with him! He was sooo mad at me. I put him on the step and ignored him and he didn't like being ignored one bit! And he was yelling at me till he finally broke.

...and I ordered more sympathy lulu....HAD TO! IT WAS ON SALE!

Deb** What drama do you have going on at home? How are the boys? You will make up for that missed workouts in the next few days. I have to stop shopping now too. I get in moods and then I stop. I paid a few bills yesterday and paid off the cc this morning so I need to let the rest of the money in the bank just sit there for a while. Esp if I plan on visiting DH.

Cookie** I don't think my mom is worried about that...she worries about stupid stuff. I went to the Dr yesterday and she asked if he thought I was depressed! Lord dy'ins! Then she talked about more foolishness. I just cut her off and tell her I have to go!

Kristin** LOL...that's funny about your students! No one likes bad kids;) Let the count down begin!

Oh...I went to the Dr yesterday and he thinks its just muscular pain in my back but he sent me for a urine test anyway. I wasn't feeling much pain at all yesterday but decided to go anyway.

I will bbl!

Lori:)

My run is done:D My ipod wasn't charged, my smart phone wasn't sharged:eek: so I ran without music and I don't have a clue how far I ran. I can tell you that much, had an awesome cal burn:eek: 677 cal burn. I did an interval run outside.

Lori - have fun with your workout. Glad you and your DH are doing great! As long as you have lulu, right:p

Waving Hallo to Cookie, Kirstin and Debbie! Aleisa and I are going to IKEA. BBL!

Evening girls. I just finished TBT UB. I forgot about all the push up work. I did most of it on my knees because my chest was a little sore from AB yesterday. I have major butt DOMs going on too thanks to AB. Anyway. . . proctored the last final today. Then I had a few faculty meetings and rearranged my bookshelves. I also took in my inventory and talked my principal into getting me fifty copies of The House on Mango Street. I've been wanting to teach this book and a reading teacher had given me her copies earlier in the year. After counting up what I had plus what she had given me, I only needed 40 copies to teach it where every student can get a copy of the book. It is a great book. I am excited to work it into the school year.

Belinda- nice job on your run. I need music, loud. . . motivational music to run.

Lori- your story about your son's timeout cracked me up. My older DS acts like I am killing him when he is in his timeouts. It is quite embarassing.

Debbie- what workout did you do today?

Cookie- some of my colleagues have no clue about APPR. When my principal started talking about "artifacts" half of them had a blank look on their faces. No one is paying attention. Should be an interesting year coming up.

Okay, I am beat.

Kristin

Hi,

I took a pilates class today at the gym & did M2 D21 back only will do biceps tomorrow. I end up meeting my gf who was just layed off for lunch. She also is a vendor & her company is outsourcing her job so they don't have to pay her benefits:confused: It's scary that companies don't/can't want to provide benefits anymore.

All you girls were up so early today . . . I must be the only night owl!

Belinda - I would struggle to run without music or tv, great job. I'm happy DH was cleared to go back to his regular routine. It must have been tough not be able to drive.

Cookie - I hope you were able to go back to bed this morning, your up before the roosters:) My gf lives in a one bedroom & I was thinking it must be a breeze to clean.

Kristin - I was lightheaded last week & I didn't even think about the water connection. It's great that you start planning for next year it must let you really enjoy the summer knowing that you have that done. The stores are starting to really mark things down that could only mean one thing . . . back to school will be in the stores in July:eek: crazy.

Lori - I wondering if everyone is going to try & keep you busy which could be good & bad. Maybe they can help when you want to w/o. My younger DS was pulled over for speeding but he decided not to stop right away so the officer gave him a lot of serious tickets. I'm sure his license may be taken away but hopefully it will teach him a lesson. The same DS is involved in a love triangle with a girl at the gym & DH brought him to the gym so it is an uncomfortable situation & like I told him it's just wrong.

Goodnight:)

Good Morning:)

So not looking forward to the weekend:( I know I will be o.k...I guess I will be o.k. Weekends was our time to do stuff and I also looked forward to Fri evenings when DH came home from work. I'm not sure how I will keep us occupied this weekend. My SIL goes camping and wanted us to come visit them...we will see. I really wish my sister was coming home this summer, that would give me something to look forward to.

Yesterday's workout was 40 mins on the TM mixed in with HST. I am not sure what I will do today. Yesterday I also did some things around town and I registered DS for soccer this summer. That should beat him out some.

Belinda** I like running with no music from time to time, esp when I need to think about something or someone has made me mad;)

Deb** Ya never know what kids are going to do! I think I have my hands full now...lets just wait and see what the future holds!

Kristin** I love it when kids act out in public b/c they know they are in public! He hasn't pulled that one yet but I remember DD doing it and she only ever did it once. She wasn't a bad child...she made up for it when she hit 12!

I will bbl to report my workout!!

Lori:)

Morning! Have a personal day today to bring the Irish daughter (exchange student) back to Newark. Also have to do grant writing this morning and the rest of the weekend, so not exactly sure how it is time off. Oh well.
Belinda, TG your dh is doing better and you are also. How was IKEA? Any interesting purchases? After reading about you going there, I started thinking of how we could stop today, but then realized I was traveling with dh and he hates to shop. Unless it is Home Depot, Lowes, or something similar.
Lori, my youngest ds would scream like he was getting beat, and folks would talk about him like he had major issues. He's going to be 24 and is very easy going. He used to get frustrated that he didn't have the language to express his thoughts. The irony is now he's quiet!
Kristin, what a great book! Did you ever do your app to DonorsChoose? This year I've noticed more teachers asking me about how to organize their classrooms and themselves than ever before. How are those doms today?
Deb, sons! I think the stress from my eldest and dh snoring causes me not to sleep most nights of the week. Sort of defeats a lot of my exercising. But then if I can't imagine managing life without it. How is your friend handling her situation? Great day to be working from home. Do you take your laptop and sit outside doing work?
Caved to the couch and being mindless last evening. Not even enough energy to see if the internet was working. Going to do HR ub and walk the dogs, and get going to the airport.
Cookie

Hi,

I took yoga today & she was moving through poses really quick so it was cardio too . . . at one point I thought I should sit & watch! Ouch, DOMS in my lower abs from pilates yesterday, I guess that's a body part I miss alot:rolleyes:

We're going out tonight with some friends for italian dinner. I must be good because the owner of the restaurant brings out tons of appetizers family style so you are stuffed before the meal even arrives.

Lori - I feel bad about the weekend, hang in there & try and keep busy. Is your sister far away? Great job with your w/o . . . I like your w/o ideas!

Cookie - You were so close to me (about 20 min.) from Newark airport:eek: I hope you didn't hit Jersey traffic:( I haven't really sat outside at home just at my inlaws but it sounds like a great idea.

Hi Belinda & Kristin - I hope your enjoying the weekend!

BBT:)

Hello everyone. Happy Friday. I spent the day cleaning out my room. I got rid of things I haven't used in a few years, packed up all my books, workbooks, photocopies for first week. I was very productive. :). I also just finished LBB and Medicine ball abs. My legs were quivering at the end of the lunges. Does everyone here do every rep on the floor work? I swear I get such a burn that I have to take breaks.

Deb- back to school in July, Halloween in September and Christmas mid-October. . . things need to slow down. I am turning 35 tomorrow. It is bothering me. . .:confused:

Lori- I hope you get through the weekend okay. That's nice of your SIL to offer you to go camping with them. I hate camping though. .. lol. I am a hotel kind of girl, lol.

Cookie- I feel the same way about workouts. . . they are just a part of my day now, and I feel "off" if I skip one.

Belinda- What workout did you do today?

Kristin

Good Morning :)

Yesterday's workout was 40 mins on the TM, PH legs and bics and HR/PH abs. My legs are a little sore today.

I kept pretty busy yesterday. I can always find something to do, it's just a matter of the baby letting me. He likes to be in my arms and I cant do much with one hand:eek:. I mowed the lawn yesterday afternoon and pulled weeds so that took me up until 4:30, then I went to my friends house for supper, got home long enough to wash the kids, get them situated and then we spoke to DH for a while. I feel good when we talk but then lonely when he has to go. I had a couple of moments yesterday. The day time isn't to bad cause he wasn't around then anyway. I know it's just a matter of getting use to it....I probably sound like a broken record!

I will come back in a bit a catch up!

Lori:)

Good morning,

I did 4DS KB + legs/core yesterday. Today I will do 4DS LIS + shoulder/core.

Lori - nice job with your TM workout. Aww...I know, it's tough without your husband. Believe it or not you get used to it, before you know it he is back. Just try to stay busy..even on the weekends. My husband was 8 month out of the year gone when my kids were little, I know how you feel and what you going through ((HUGS))) I am here if you need to talk! BTW, I usully don't like running without music, I think I need a new ipad.

Kirstin - I do have to take breaks once in awhile during a tough workout. Good for you cleaning out your room.

Debbie - how was your dinner yesterday? My kind of italian dinner, bring those appetizers...yum.

Cookie - I bought curtins in IKEA. I would like to change my living roon, saw something in the Ikea too. DH needs to see it, plus we probably need to pick it up? :(

Off to get busy. Enjoy your weekend, everyone. BBL!

'Afternoon!
Made it back from Newark and she's back in Belfast.
Belinda, I haven't been to IKEA in quite a while, and still didn't get there last night. Did stop at Beverage King and got a variety of wine! How's your back doing today?
Kristin, Happy Birthday! What are you doing to celebrate the day? I thought so much about turning 35 that I began to think I was turning 36! No other year bothered me. Crazy, huh?
Lori, do you like camping? Doing it with three children doesn't sound like fun to me. I bet it is hard in the evenings.
Deb, how were the appetizers and the rest of the meal. Didn't realize you were so close to Newark. I always think of you being near the Sheraton where we met up.
Did turbo barre this morning and going to walk the dogs this evening. Didn't get much sleep again last night and am thinking of taking a quick nap. Have to do darn grant writing again and you all know how much I don't like that.
Cookie

Hi everyone. I just finished LICh plus I added my own ab work. I had a bridal shower today. My good friend from work, Katy. Her shower is on my birthday and her wedding is on my anniversary. Too funny, right?

Anyway, I am now off to get ready for tonight. DH is taking me out to dinner and a movie. We are planning on seeing Rock of Ages.

I will bb tomorrow.

Kristin

Good evening,

I finished my workout, great workout.

Cookie - wine is alway good:p having a class tonight or two:eek: did you get a nap in today? I tried, but couldn't sleep, our smoke alarm started to peep:confused: I went downstairs and got my workout in.

Kirstin - enjoy your day, girl! Have fun tonight.

Waving Hallo to Debbie and Lori.

I will be back tomorrow. Good night, girls!

Hi,

I pulled out my very dusty Fluidity bar (since I saw an informercial & it reminded me I own one:rolleyes:) & will start using it a couple of times a week. It's a lot like Turbo Barre. We had fun last night but not enough sleep . . . squeezed in a nap.

Kristin - Happy Birthday!!!! I hope you had a great day. How was the movie?

Belinda - Your back must be doing better, great job with your workout! I've been wanting to go to IKEA.

Lori - It's good that you get to speak to DH at night since that is the hardest time. I'm hoping each day will get easier & don't hesitate to stop here & talk about it. Are you still studying for PT?

Cookie - I wondering if Cathe will make more Turbo Barre w/o's. That must have been a long drive for you, hopefully you were able to get your nap in. Good luck with the grant writing.

Goodnight:)

Good Morning:)

I am heading home today for the day, the only sucky thing is my mom has to work. We will leave here with enough time to make it to church...I hope. The baby is up early enough..that's for sure!

Yesterday I finally got my floors cleaned and my in laws came by so I could go for a run. I did 12k with my running partner. I am planning to workout soon before we leave here. I am giving myself an hour to do something. Yesterday afternoon I also took DS to mcds to play with a friend and then to walmart to get him a treat. Keeping him occupied is my biggest task.

Belinda** I know I hate complaining when I know what military wives go through. My BIL use to be in the military and they still have a lot of military friends so I talk to them from time to time. And every wife has a story of their DH being away for months...and they didn't get to see each other or talk. So I know I don't have it that bad. Nice workout yesterday.

Deb** I finished my course last Dec. Studying, pregnant, with a family and a job wasn't easy but I had to get it done b/c if I didn't, I knew it was never going to happen! I think I got 78% on my exam, I was so nervous...and I really haven't done much with it since:eek: Having a small one makes it hard and with DH gone now even harder. I would like to train though...even if it's for some adult interaction!

Kristin** Happy Birthday!!! You should get hammered!:p

Cookie** Did you get to have your nap? I am going to have to start going to bed earlier b/c the baby keeps waking earlier and I have no one here to pass him over to anymore. Its hard to juggle with DS1 who likes to stay up and trying to talk to DH b/c there is a 3.5 hr time difference.

Alright...I will check back in tonight when I get home. I am not sure what kind of week I am in for. DH is going to get busier so his time to talk to me might become less and less!

Lori:)

Hey there. Thanks for all the birthday wishes, guys. I ate a lot of deliciously bad food this weekend, lol. I feel guilty, especially because I am going on vacation later this week, and so I will not be eating "clean" for those 10 days. Ah well. You only live once, right?
I did BM2 Cardio and Weights premix, so that should combat some of those high fat calories, lol.

Lori- LOL, I did have a few drinks yesterday, but I was not hammered, lol. You crack me up.

Deb- I would give the movie 3 out of 4 stars. Tom Cruise was hysterical and Alec Baldwin was great as well. I love Paul Giamatti (not sure if that is how you spell it). I grew up with all that music, so it was great. The story line was a little eh. I liked it though.

Belinda- I love the 4DS series and was happy to do it last month. With the new workouts. . . I am going to what for the video clips. The preorder deal is not so great now anyway.

Cookie- Lol, maybe I should obsess about 36 now so it won't be such a shock when it comes, lol.

Kristin

'Evening!
Belinda, I did take a nap yesterday! Just couldn't stay focused on that grant writing, my eyes were getting heavy, so I went to bed. Slept about 1.5 hours! Think I could get used to doing that in the afternoons, but oh well. I'm with you in that wine is always good. Sometimes a little too good.
Kristin, glad you had such a good time on your birthday. The movie got really good reviews, especially comments saying surprised how good Tom Cruise is in it. Isn't that crazy how I perseverated on 35? Wonder if most folks have an age they are anxious to approach. Now I think back and cannot for the life of my know what I was worried about. Almost Florida!
Lori, you leave a hectic life. Remember I used to call you the Energizer Bunny. It still fits.
Deb, I was looking for Fluidity on the Collage website the other day, but didn't see it. I am absolutely loving barre-type of workouts lately, and they do not aggravate my hip or sciatica at all. Did you say there was an infomercial for Fluidity? Hmm, maybe I should look on Amazon. Do you like it? Are there other ones you would recommend?
Took the dogs for a walk today and finally got the grant-writing done. Am a participant in a webinar tomorrow, so have to go work on my comments. This time I am not going to wear horizontal stripes! Have no idea why I did in my last one. Sometimes I think so much of what I have to do, I forget to think of me.
Cookie

Hi,

We had a nice Father's Day at my in-laws. I ate dessert but ate very little food so I guess it didn't really matter & now my stomach is hurting:confused:

Belinda - What did you do today?

Lori - You sound much better today:) It's great that you finished the course it's one less thing you have to worry about & when the time is right you can start it up.

Kristin - I plan to rent the movie on netflix, DH likes Paul too. With all the running around you'll do in Disney it could equal out.

Cookie - Good luck tomorrow. I wonder if it's all woman or just Mom's that put themselves last:confused: I guess it could be all parents for that matter! I bought Fluidity a few year back it comes with a ballet bar & DVD's I can't remember how much it was but I think it was pricey because of the ballet bar.

Goodnight:)

Good Morning:)

Had a nice day yesterday. It wasn't long going, which was great. I did get a little emotional at my in laws at dinner time. No one noticed and I kept it hid'in very well. Maybe it was because he is always there too. Or I may have been just having a moment. I feel good today though....I've only been up for 20 mins though . I went to bed a little earlier last night and it's a good thing cause the baby is waking up earlier.

I was going to run outside today with the stroller and get DD to watch DS but because we are up so early I will probably just head to the basement in a hour or so and have it done. I never did get to do yoga last night. By the time I got home, got the kids ready for bed, folded the laundry...it was time for me to go to bed.

Kristin**. I have a "friend" ( and I use that word loosely) that use to diet before her trips and then when she was away she would gain about 15-20 lbs...and I'm not joking! She called one of my good friends the other day and said that her cholesterol is high and that the dr said she's not allowed to eat anything bad for a month! We both knew that this was a lie...she just wants to go on a diet but she can't because they camp a lot this time of year. So she needs an excuse to tell people. I trained her aunt and she was the same. She would lose some writ before she went away, gain about 10 lbs in a week and then it would take her forever to get back on track. Very odd people. Anyway....I'm sure your not like them! I gained 1-2 lbs when we were in fl cause I still ran and even though we had treats in the parks, we still walked everywhere.

Deb** my course is only good for 2 yrs...so I need to do something with it and keep learning:rolleyes: I have been meaning to pull my books out and go through some chapters again just to refresh my mind.

Cookie** I get my energy from my moms side of the family, not that my dad is lazy...he just takes his time and my sister turns after him. I'm like my mom when it comes to getting everything done. My sister is so slow and my DD is just like her! Stay away from strips...they are not our friend:eek:

I'm not sure what today's workout will be. I'm thinking a run, and a HIIT workout and then some weights.

BBL!
Lori:)
