Commit to get FIT & Lean for July 2014!

My wi-FI is down so I'm doing a quick check-in from my phone. I just finished Afterburn and I added 100 rep challenge scarecrows. Heading to my parents house now. I'll be back later if my wi-FI works.

Hi Everyone,

I missed you all so much at the RT, so many times during the RT I wished you were here:(. There was so much to tell you. I do think if you miss a year it makes it that much more special so whenever you guys decide;)

The new hotel is soooo close a couple of miles . . . some people occasionally walked but most either drove or took the school bus. Some even went back to the hotel during the lunch breaks. The hotel didn't have the free breakfast but had a cafe you could order breakfast at but never had a chance because we were always on the run. I ate fruit & Kind bars I brought with me.

Friday was kickbox & stretch. Saturday was step blast (I only did 1/2 and went to Starbuck's for coffee:eek: but happy I did do part of the class). We broke up in groups A & B and did spin 40 min., next was Les Mills Body Pump 40 min. taught by another instructor at the gym, another stretch class right before lunch (which really helped!), after lunch was all about legs (really good) & at night Zumba (different instructor but really good too!). On Sunday at the crack of dawn 7AM was a Cardio Blast which was a Hiit workout.

There were a bunch of 1st timers which was nice. There were some faces you all would recognize. Mama Deb was there, Bev, Leslie & Laura (the sisters) some other sisters you know weren't there, Cynthia (photographer) had a family emergency:( so missed her. Everyone looked the same & great! Cathe & the crew looked awesome! Cathe always looks amazing and taught all the classes including both Spin classes:eek: she was the energizer bunny!

One of the big differences besides the hotel was the Sunday farewell breakfast was at 8:15AM in the film studio (where all the food was served) but it saves so much time instead of going to the diner. It was easier to walk around and talk to everyone & get to see Cathe.

On Friday night Brenda, Marla & Al came to the dinner. On Sunday Jai & Brenda came.

Nothing was really said about the new series, but Cathe said she is working hard on it and seemed happy with how it is coming along.

I'm so tired but if you have any questions or I think of something will post it during the week. I also want to post all the pictures I have been promising you by next week:)

Belinda - It look like you had a lot of fun at DC!! Do you think you would ever move there?

Kristin - It seems like you had a lot of fun with parties & get togethers this weekend:)

Amelia - It's good that you are getting back in the groove!!

Cookie - The pics from the RT are going to give me incentive to work harder I looked chubby in some of them:confused: I love Naan bread it's too good & I'm sure homemade is even better!

Belinda, glad you had such a good time in DC. Having a good haircut is very important! I have to remember today to try to reschedule my next appt. Only I only have good hair after seeing mine, since I don't do it on my own.
Kristin, hope the wifi gets straightened out soon. Your arms and shoulders must be looking awesome.
Amelia, how are things going? What is different with the new Leslie's from some of her older ones?
Deb, thanks for the rt notes! Can't imagine you looking chubby, not at all. It is motivating seeing others in such awesome shape. Last time, I found it a bit overwhelming though. No Lorraine?!! Hope she'll be in the new series. Rest up, you must be tired.
Yesterday ended up doing all out low impact hiit, which was not the best idea after the previous day's great glutes. Let's just say, I'm lb challenged today. Did PP this morning, which reminded me of my first rt and being with Debbie.
Lots of storms yesterday and today; hope everyone is okay.

Good morning,

Today I will start M3 W2 D?:) Today I am starting SBF 2 week Bootcamp, I will do Cardio Interval 2 = 20 min + Vintage Thin Thighs Fast = 10 min.

Cookie - the new girl did a great job on my hair. My old hair dresser left, really liked her. Prices in DC are a little higher than anywhere else:confused: but they do know what they are doing:p

Debbie - I am so glad you had lots of fun. We all should try to go next year. I wonder why Cathe didn't announce anything:eek: Mmm….what is she up too:p I wouldn't mind moving to DC:eek: DH doesn't like the traffic. He likes where we live?

Kirstin - hope your WiFi is working again. Glad you had fun this weekend.

Still no wi-FI. DH thinks it's the router :(. Anyway, today's workout was PRS 2, us bonus core 1 from Xtrain and 100 rep challenge lat raises. I also walked Baxter this morning.

DS started baseball camp today. He is going for one week, but already asked if he can go next week too. I signed up my younger DS for a reading class too. It's every Tuesday in August for 2 hours. He is a little behind with his reading skills and I figured this will help him better prepare for the upcoming school year. I am hopeful this will help him get to the level he needs to be at the beginning if the year. I will be with him the first hour, learning different methods to use at home too, which is great.

Anyway. . .

Deb- glad you had a great time on the trip. I saw a lot of new faces in the pics on Facebook. I really want to go next year. I can't believe she didn't say much about the new series.

Belinda- I really need a hair cut and color. Too many grays! I also need a pedicure. I get really lazy in the summer with my appearance. I hard to even put on make up, ha!

Cookie- I want my arms to get really cut, lol. Hoping the 100 rep challenges will give them a boost!

Amelia- keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Hey girls,

Walked the dogs this morning and did SBF Interval cardio = 20 min + Vintage Thighs = 10 min. And I just finished STS D28 Chest & Back Off to the shower.

Kirstin - hope your wi-FI gets fixed soon. Last time I got my hair done was last year:eek: I always wear my hair in a ponytail:D I only wear make up when I go shopping.

Hi,

Today I took a yoga class & did one challenge & steady state from Cardio Coach #6 on the track. Surprisingly not as sore as the RT we were all on:) I think the stretching & yoga today helped. I was really thirsty & tired today. DH said I woke him up last night asking if he could hear the music from Cathe's RT classes:confused::eek:

Belinda - I like the name of the workout you did today Vintage Thin Thighs;) People were asking for info about a filming date, no one really asked for details about the workouts:confused:

Kristin - I hope your wi-fi works soon. My kids liked baseball camp too! That does sound like a great program for your younger son.

Cookie - One of the roadtrippers said Lorraine may have some thyroid issues, I really can't confirm that info because it didn't come from Cathe. I think the closer hotel helped with the overwelming feeling but it is still a lot in 2 days.

Belinda, silly but I enjoy the quiet time sitting in the salon skimming the variety of magazines! I remember being disappointed once when they must have cleaned out b/c there wasn't much there other than hairstyle mags! How did you find this stylist?

Kristin, you sure will be cut with all those 100s! Hard to believe August starts this week. I need a pedicure also but am going to wait til after vacation. We're going to the Outer Banks for 2 weeks starting Sunday. Figure the sand will ruin a pedi quick.
Deb, lol at you asking dh about the music! I hope Lorraine is okay; she's always been one of my favs. Was LauraMax there? I hadn't seen her the past few.
Stopped at library and got another season of 30 Rock, so watched a couple of episodes while on rebounder this morning. Woke up feeling tired this morning. DH and I have been watching Downton Abbey and finally started season 4. Can't believe how much he has gotten into this soap opera but it's fun.

SBF Bring Sally Up Planks = 10 min + Upper Body and core = 20 min is done.

Cookie - usually I like to read the magazines too at the salon:) I was talking with Aleisa or the girl the entire time:eek: She was a new girl:D I really like her. I got my hair cut (with a different girl) at this salon before and really like it. And the salon is right across from Aleisa's apartment. It's a little pricey, but the girls do a really good job. LOL, at you and your husband. My husband watched GL with me in Germany, he never missed a show:eek::p:eek: Aleisa likes Downton Abbey too. Maybe I need to start watching it:) DH and I just got done watching Empire Boardwalk, we watched like 4 seasons in 3 weeks:rolleyes::p

Debbie - can't believe you worked out after the RT:eek: Give your muscles a break, girl! Really? Nobody ask for details? I am surprised. Mmm..wonder what Cathe has in store for us? LOL! Glad you had fun. I have to agree, I was excused in 2007. I saw on FB that Cathe was teaching 2 spin classes? They also had a new Zumba girl? What happened to the other girl? Vintage Thin Thighs was tough. I was shaking!

I took today as a rest day. It finally hit me & didn't want to burn out for the rest of the week:) I can't believe August is here on Friday:( so will try and enjoy every minute of it;)

Belinda - I'm not sure why there was a new Zumba teacher but she was really good too! Cathe taught 2 spin classes back to back. I really liked her spin class. Great workout!

Cookie - I miss Lorraine too! Lauramax wasn't there but Paulette & Jessie were there. How long do they let you take out the DVD's for?

Hi all. didn't get the Wi-Fi fixed until last night. DH bought a new router. I did Lean Legs and Abs yesterday. I was really tired, I took an afternoon nap :confused:. Didn't know why until the morning. TOTM arrived a few days early, ugh! Today I have upper bodu. I am thinking of Doing SS, upper body (2 sets) premix. I already walked Baxter for 40 minutes. Then I am taking my younger DS to the library and I plan on reading on my lounge chair today.

Deb- I was in shock that you worked out on Monday. Good for you for taking that rest day yesterday. I wish Cathe would have revealed more about the new series. You said people were asking when filming would start, did she have an answer? Now that I preordered, I am itching to get the new dvds, lol.

Belinda- I loved Boardwalk Empire when it first came out. The last season was not the best, in my opinion. I watched it, but I became less interested in it. Very few shows keep my interest after a few seasons, with the exception of The Sopranos and Sex and the City, which I loved, oh and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Cookie- my arms wore sore for days after the 100 bicep curl challenge. I think I will ease up on that weight next time, lol. I really like adding on the challenges though. I feel like I'm giving my muscles a little shock zinger at the end.

I walked the dogs for 45 min this morning. Just finished SBF LB Cardio = 20 min + LB 2 = 20 min. I am getting ready to do STS D38 Squat Rack legs.

Kirstin - I have to agree on the last season of Boardwalk Empire:eek: I never got into Sex in the City:confused: Aleisa loves it! Curb Your Enthusiasm, need to look that one up:eek: Wished I could relax this afternoon. Have fun!

Debbie - I like Cathe's spin dvd's, not so much the music. I am sure, she played real music. Maybe the Zumba girl was out of town? At least you all had fun. That''s what counts;) You need to take a few day's off;) Your body will thank you.

I'm back. I decided to do Cardio and Weights. I wanted to add some cardio. Great workout. I am heading to the pool and then reading my book. My younger DS is at my parents' house and my older DS is at baseball camp. Peace and Quiet!

Belinda- Curb Your Enthusiasm is with Larry David, who was a writer for Seinfeld. It is Seinfeld for cable, if that makes sense. I found it to be hysterical. I would laugh until I cried with a lot of the episodes. If you were a fan of Seinfeld, I would watch it.

I did Lean Legs w/o abs LOL. I'm still pretty tired & need to get all my work done for the end of the month, ugh! I have been enjoying the low humidity & so has my hair;)

Belinda - When do you leave for vacation? You must be so excited.

Kristin - Having the pool too yourself must have been fun. Do you read in the pool? My one SIL tries when not too many people are around.

Belinda, I may need that new stylist's info! Mine couldn't squeeze me in this week and the next time we could work it out is August 19th. Now, I'm scheduled to be in DC the 18-20, and have a big presentation to do on the 21st. Thinking perhaps I can squeeze in an appt in DC in between the meetings I'll have there. This is week 3, and I usually get my roots done every 4. If I don't get them done, no one will listen to me on the 21st, they'll be thinking I look like a skunk!
Amelia, are you getting your walks in? We've had a cooler July than usual. How about you?
Kristin, my dh did pub last Friday w/me and complained about being sore until yesterday. Just this morning he said he's ready to do another wt workout. You should have seen him when I mentioned you doing 100s with 20's! What are you reading? I've just finished listening to the audiobook Sex with Cannibals. The title has nothing to do with the book tho! Its about a couple who move to an remote atoll in the Pacific thinking they will be living an idyllic life, only to discover a different reality. It is very funny. He wrote another book called Lost on Planet China, which I had read a few years ago. Glad you got the time to relax by yourself.
Deb, good for you taking a rest day. Your body must have appreciated it. It must have been fun seeing folks from past road trips again. Did you meet others who are also going to the FL one? Different libraries around here have different loan lengths, but my favorite has one week for dvds! I did one episode yesterday and a few more today. Whatever is not seen by Saturday morning is waiting for another loan, since we're leaving Sunday morning for the Outer Banks. I couldn't read in a pool; how does your sil do it?
Yesterday was MM ub premix and today was 30 Rock on the rebounder. Had meetings and then shopping for a wedding shower gift, errands, and visit with mom. Was too tired when got home to walk the poor dogs.

Morning girls,

I'm off work today and we're debating on going to either white water or six flags. We got season passes to six flags and it allows us to get in white water for 9.99 once.

Yesterday was a hike for the first time since May, its just been too hot out. We had a cool front come through and the temps are in the 70's with 20% humidity...feels great out.

My brother has a surgery scheduled for the 7th of August. I told my dad I would go with him.

Well, the kids are hovering over me so I will cut this short. Have a great day girls and thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Today I took a yoga class & after took a ballet barre class. I tried it for the 1st time at this gym & really liked the new instructor.

I'm sorry to make this quick, but had a rough day & needed to make some decisions but will fill you in tomorrow.

Cookie - You have a busy August between vacation & business trips but going to DC should be fun too!

Amelia - Season passes to Great Adventure sounds like fun!! I'll be thinking about your brother. I think rain is coming here this weekend, hoping they are wrong.
