Good Morning:)

Im baaaaaaack! Did anyone miss me? LOL:)

I had a great weekend and surprisingly I wasn't hungover, nor was I homesick:p I was ready to come home yesterday afternoon but never once did I get that lonely feeling. I needed the break (i think). DS was so excited when I came home though. When I got here he wasn't home but when my inlaws brought him here,he jumped out of his grandfathers arms and ran as fast as he could to me:) I have to work for the next 2 days though and I am hoping he will be o.k.

I did alot of eating, drinking,and shopping. So now its time to give my body and wallet a break:) Back on track today. Not looking at my new eating pattern as a diet b/c it isn't. Im happy at 121-123. I don't think I can go below that without being super strict and I like the way I look at this weight, so I have just decided to eat the way I have been eating without looking at it as my diet and I will get use to it in no time. Its all the things I should be doing anyway.
I am doing just a run today and if I have the energy I may do P90X tonight, but so far I just have a run planned.
My boss is gone to Mexico and Im thinking Im gonna enjoy that at work. I can relax and do whatever:) Im thinking I will make some cookies today, get at the cc stuff again, all while sitting in front of the t.v:)

Oh no! I overslept. Woke up in the night again, then fell back to sleep and woke up 20 minutes too late to do upper body! I’m really annoyed at myself, but must have needed the sleep. The real dilemna is tomorrow is a real busy day and I was already worried about fitting tomorrow’s wo in. I’ll try tonight, but don’t think it will work. Have to prepare for a big presentation that goes for the next three days… One of the most wonderful tings about working out is how it helps alleviate stress I get before doing them.
Oh well. Off for a full-day worksop. Fun, fun, fun.

Lori, just a run? Just a run is only a run not a run and another wo You always do enough for both of us. Glad you had a wonderful time, and I knew your son would miss you. We all do.

Cheryl, thanks for letting me know more about that guy. All the more motivation for me to get the upper body in this evening. I’ve discovered in the past year how much I like weights. Before then I was more sporadic in using them.

Amelia and Belinda, sorry to have let both of you down this morning. I’m typing with my left hand since my right is raised as I promise to do my very best to squeeze it in this evening.

I got some computer time, so I thought I check in with you ladies.

Today's workout will be S&H Triceps and Biceps.

I have a playdate to go to today with DD, so I am sure that'll be
fun and when I put her down for a nap afterwards I will do my workout.

Lori - How do you like P90X so far? What week are you on? Do you see some results?

Cookie - Sorry that you overslept, I hate when that happens, kinda messes up your whole day, but I sure hope that you still will have a good one.

Cookie** How did you sleep in??? Did you hit the snooze button or something? I know I was allllll cozey in my bed today and really didn't want to get up but I did. If I lay there long enough I just fall back to sleep. I don't think I ever slept in and was late for work. Hopefully you will get your workout in tonight, although I know those evening workouts can be tough to squeeze in!

Krisitine** I think I am on week 6 right now. I don't see BIG results but I think there are some small changes. I was in pretty good shape before so I don't think I will see huge improvements. Hope you enjoy your play date with miss Heidi!

I did a 6 mile run earlier in 55:11. Pretty good time. I thought today would be slow but its gonna be busier then I thought! Today is also my neices first day babysitting DS and Im not sure how thats gonna go. I think he is gonna give her a hard time:-(

Lori-Im glad youve decided that your current weight is what your gonna stick with! I think you look great,and your workouts are just so amazing...how could you gain any weight with all those runs anyway. Im also glad to hear that your weekend went good! Enjoy your run today!

Cookie-I too woke up late,i will have to either do my workout either soon or this afternoon! Im sure you needed the sleep,feels good to get some sleep in!

Kristine-are you doing a slow and heavy rotation? I thought about buying slow and heavy? there are so many cathe workouts that i want though,its just to hard to choose just one:+. Enjoy your playdate today!

Belinda-i weighed myself today,and when DH wakes i will get my measuremenst and BF%...i want to start this rotation out right;-)! You done with your workout? Ive got a question...why is there only two days of cardio + a circuit? Im use to doing like 4-5 days of cardio,should i just add some cardio in?

Cheryl-Wow on the guy that lost 75lbs...thats amazing! How long did it take him to lose it? I started this weightloss journey of mine back in the summer of 05...and ive still got around 20lbs to lose. But happy with what ive lost so far.

Amy-How is your day going so far? I hope good!

Todays workout is MM UB premix and a thirty minute walk on the TM! I will bbl to report my workout:)

Hi, everyone -

On the guy - I'm not sure how long it took him. He's an anesthesiologist and moved to the east coast for a better job a few years ago so I've lost track of him lately.

I didn't know he'd lost anything until he pulled out a snapshot as the running club was waiting to get started one day. There he was 75 pounds overweight, wearing a terrible toupee and shoving a cupcake into his mouth at a family picnic :+ :+ :+

He wisely lost the toupee and just shaved his head. It was the Tucson marathon in an early December when he ran the 3:05. He said at about mile 20 there were a couple of women making catcalls over his bod and he was so stunned and flattered that this was happening to HIM it powered him all the way to the finish line }(

I love stories like that.

Anyway, welcome home Lori! Yes, I've seen your pics and you look absolutely fantastic at 121-123. No worries there.

Amelia, nice workout choice!

I just finished out Warp weight workout 3 (week one again) and added on abs and a bit of extra cardio. Feels great!

just came back from my dog walk! I went for 3 miles!



Amelia** I will do the rotation as is! I don't do well doing 4-5 cardio week! You still get your HR up with circuit, it counts as a cardio day in my book! You do cardio almost every day? I used to, but not anymore! It didn't work for me!

Hey girls!

finished my workout earlier...did MM UB premix(an my arms are fried}(). That was all i had planned for today until my dog started whinning when she saw me walk past the sliding glass doors to the back yard,lol, so i gave in and gave her a 30min dog walk!

Belinda-ive decided to do the rotation as is too! My measurements this morning were pretty much the same since three weeks ago so i guess my body has gotten use to all the powerwalking,time to change things up a bit! I agree with you on the circuits they all get my HR way up there!

I forgot to add....i called about my internship this morning and the man that handles interns asked me to call back thursday,thats when the nurse practitioner comes back from her vacation(the lady that interviewed me) so im still waiting to start thatx:)-(! I was hoping to start today:-( Very frustrating.
 
I did it! Thank you ladies! Honestly, if there wasn’t the accountability of this check in, probably would have put HIS/LIS UB til tomorrow or Wednesday. So thank you very much. However, with all the stuff needed for it, it sure took me a while to set up, and whoooo those weights. My arms – no my whole upper body is feeling it. I’ve got one of those heat things on my lower back to ward off any night bothers and am pleased.
Actually, all day long I kept thinking how I can do this, and gee I really want to, so my husband cooked dinner while I started it. He’s a keeper. Of course, I’m saying this now and not in the middle of the night when his snoring wakes me up. Wait, he should have cooked dinner since it was his fault I woke up and then overslept!

Amelia, that’s probably a good idea switching things up. Of course, I’m just saying that to convince you to do this rotation with Belinda and I. That is an amazing health journey you’ve been on. You really impress me.

Lori, wow you fly girl. Are you sure you didn’t run track in high school? How did it go with your niece babysitting? Why did you decide to change from your regular sitter?

Cheryl, love the story of the guy getting the catcalls. That’s great. Do you still belong to your running club?

Kristine, thanks for understanding about my oversleeping. I seldom do it but you’re right I must have needed it. How was the playdate?
