Good Morning:)

Im still at work but the phone woke me. Its only 5:30, I still have 2.5 hours left to go and I have a feeling that I may not get back to sleep anymore until I get home.;( ;( I was sooo hoping for a good night and then I could stay up when I got off of work but I don't see that happening.Oh well....

Im planning for a long run today. Its suppose to rain in the a.m but be sunny in the afternoon so we will see how that works out.

Cheryl** Sometimes I tell myself that I don't have enough time for the last couple of intervals;) That workout does fly by though. I think 4&5 are the toughest intervals. I have some nice DOMS from B&G's yesterday but I think my UB DOMS is gone.;( Time to make more;)

Belinda** Are you selling the house? When are you going back to Germany? Ive done DM cardio premix before, a couple of times.It is a very tough workout, not much downtime.

Cookie** I like the idea of food journaling but it can be hard to do,don't you think? Unless one can carry around a notepad with them all the time, its nearly impossible if you are away from home all day.Have a safe drive today!

Thought I would kill a bit of time...but now Ive said what I have to say!

Oh wait...DH called yesterday for a very brief 3 mins!:7 :7 He said that he was calling from a stallite phone and it was $20 a mins, Im hoping he was exaggerating! LOL Cause thats $60 bucks! LOL He just wanted to checkin and make sure we are o.k. For some reason he has this fear of me falling down when running,and Im not sure what he thinks will happen to DS when I fall. Anyway, it was nice to talk to him and he is ready to come home. They leave to come home tomorrow afternoon so he will be at a hotel tomorrow where I can talk to him.

‘Morning! Wanted to check in before heading out for yet another conference.

Lori, I’m going to try journaling again, but I usually forget to do it by about 11 am. It seems like a good way for me to just pay more attention to what I’m eating. Going for a run today? Hope the weather is good for you.

Amelia, how’s the dog walking? Lately my dogs are giving up with long walks. Not sure if it is the heat/humidity or if they’ve gotten Lyme disease. They just will plop themselves down on the side of the road and refuse to move. I’ve carried one of them for a ways, but he’s too heavy at about 20 lbs. The other is a golden, and I’m not about to start carrying her! LOL at the image of you exercising at the camp ground. Good for you! The viewers were probably very impressed.

Belinda, are you selling your house? You must be so tired of boxing things up and then unpacking. That’s certainly a workout. Are you doing B&G today?

Cheryl, which road trip are you going on? You are so diligent with getting your workouts in.

Today I will do legs and glutens + abs from ME!

Lori** No we will not sell the house, the market isn't good! Both my kids are staying in the house!

Cookie** the kids didn't wanted all our furniture,they said it's to much cleaning! LOL!I hate packing and unpacking! I am so glad when my DH is coming on Saturday! A few more days!

Its glad to be in civilization agian,LOL:+ i missed my computer,air conditionor,telephone(don't have a cell;-)) so that was a nice little break from everything but im glad to be back!

ok,so ive been reading in the OD thread about this book called 'Escape your shape' the author states that thier is certain workouts for certian body types that work better.....im thinking about trying it!? Im not really sure what body type i am though,either a hourglass or a ruler? Either way ive been doing the wrong excersices for my body type! He says jump rope and walking,jogging is the best for me. and to use very light weight/high reps while resistance training BUT to NOT resistance train until im within 10lbs of my goal weight:eek:....ive got the book coming so I will wait to see what it says before starting. I think the diet is similar to BFL,eating a good carb/protein every 2-3 hours.

anyways,have you guys read any books that has the same concept? I know there are a few out there?

with that said today is either PP or SS :+ and a dog walk,i also need to get in some abb work! I really need a good sweat fest too,ive been VERY moody lately:-(

Cookie-LOL at your dog just sitting in the middle of the road during your walk:+. I wouldn't be able to pick up my dog if she decided to to that,LOL shes a good 60lbs. Yeah,the dog walks are going great,i usually walk her about 30minutes,need to get at it shortly here before the temp gets up. I use to be dead on with my food journal,but for the past couple of months ive been struggling with it:-(

Hi, everyone! I hear the forums may come down for the move to the new Cathe website possibly even later today, so I thought I'd better post early.

Amelia, there are plenty of days I'd love to "escape my shape", LOL! Hmmm, big difference between an hourglass and a ruler, I'm thinking... Interesting philosophy on the resistence training as everything I'm reading seems to reinforce that weight training and HIIT cardio are the big keys! I'm definitely an hourglass - chest and hips seem to stay the same size as each other no matter what my weight is and waist is smaller even at higher weight. Tendency to be soft-ish, which I fight mightily, LOL!

Cookie, I'm going to the July RT and that's NEXT WEEK! I'll be sure to post from the hotel. My roommate is Amy, lucky me!!! }( }( }( We're going to be trouble for sure. Can't wait.

Belinda, enjoy your LB workout.

Lori, glad DH called - yayy! My DH worries when I run, too. He would rather I run only with partners.

Speaking of partners, running partner had to bail again this morning - still feeling sick - so I'm going to go back to plan A and do UB and some HIIT intervals this morning. Haven't yet decided what. Either a premix of MM UB or maybe some of the UB segments in 4DS.

I'd better get to it.

Amelia** I don't know anything about 'Escape your shape' book! There are so many author claiming their books are the right one! I was really tired to figure out which one worked and which ones didn't! I did Cathe's rotation for over a year and the weight didn't came off the easy with all that cardio! Honestly, when I started BFL style weight training the pounds came off so fast! I saw muscle gain with BFL, after a few month in my LB and UB, never saw any before! I also have to admit I go heavy, a lot heavier then I ever did before! Good luck to you and let me know how you like the new program! How long did you do BFL style training? I did it for over 6 month straight! I am taking a brake from heavy lifting, put after my current rotation I will go back to BFL lifting! It is really hard to figure out what works and what doesn't! Again, its to muggy for a run so I think I am going to do a circuit workout using my TM. DS should soon be going for a nap so I should be able to start within the next hour or so.

Cheryl** I was watching Nancy Grace last night on CNN and they were talking about a jogger who was killed. She left at 7 in the morning and her friend reported her missing at 2:30 but the husband didn't? Right now there are no fingers pointing to him but I guess it is possible. I leave in the a.m for a run and if DH is at work no one would report me missing either. Good job on the workout today!

Ameila** I have never heard of that book and Im also not sure about not weight training till you lose all of your weight. I know that muscle burns more calories then fat and thats always a good thing, right? Who knows whats right or wrong? Hopefully it will have some useful info for you.

When I got home today, DS wanted nothing to do with me:-( He only wanted his grandparents, so off they went while I had a nap. But when I picked him up at my MIL's he didn't want anything to do with her and it was all me:) So releived! LOL I think he is just tired of being with me all the time!

Hey girls,thanks for all your replies! I agree with everybody on the weight training! im just gonna keep on doing what ive been doing

dog walk done,now its time to hit those weights!

Belinda-i did a three month challenge with BFL and lost about 13 lbs with it. I was lifting very heavy too,very challenging! Ive thought about doing another BFL challenge?

Lori-yay on your nap! Maybe your DS was just in a grumpy mood,my ds gets like that but the only difference is that he doesn't have anything to do with anybody,just says 'go away mommie,I don't want to talk to you"....LOL

Well...no nap for DS today, prehaps that means early bedtime? IT BETTER! After all day, I feel like I need a nap!

I did DM cardio and UB premix, then took the dogs for a swim. I was hoping to get out for a run tonight but now that DS will be in bed, I may have to do it on the TM, or not at all}(

Belinda-i may start another bfl challenge with you,it wasn't difficult(except the heavy lifting:+) ive got two weeks until your rotation ends,right? I did lose weight with it....

Evening! Actually since it is 9:40 I guess it should be “Night.

Lori, bet the dogs loved swimming on a muggy day. Is you son already starting to play you? Boy, kids these days sure start young don’t they. Yesterday was DM for Belinda and I. I used the Bosu. Do you have one of them? The bounciness of it helps make the workout even more fun.

Amelia, sorry I never heard of that book. Not using any weights sure seems different. I think weights have made a big difference for me. I’m more of an hourglass, and without weight work it is easy for me to look softier and heavier. Hope you know what I mean.

Belinda, how’s the various appliances? So you’re going to do another BFL rotation next? How is that different than the Cathe/FF ones? My kids don’t like to clean either.

Cheryl, the road trip should be a lot of fun. That’s great that you and Amy are roomies. How is she doing? Please post and fill us on how the trip is. Wish I could go. I have a workshop next Friday so the July option was out. August 8 is my birthday, and we’re always on vacation for that week so there went the August option. Sure would love to take one of her live classes one day.

So I’m glad I agreed to do this conference. It is on a lake! Managed to squeeze in a 3 mile run/walk. Running is still bothering that darn ol piriformis. Anyway, this evening a couple of us took paddleboats out and went around a portion of the lake. Very, very nice.
