We're at -10 but are supposed to climb. The hens don't like it! Luckily the coop is toasty so they will just spend the day in there, smoking and playing cards.

my girls have a 2-hr delay for school but everybody else has school canceled! no fair!
guess i'll be glad for the delay! but we'll be waiting for the bus in the truck!
Checking in at -29 outside of Chicago. At least thats what the weather thing on my sidebar says. I don't even want to know what happens when the wind blows!!! Oh well, off to work I go.
Let's focus on the positive!!! The sun was out all day yesterday here in central new york. Very unusual for us. Even though it was cold it did cheer me up. We are supposed to get more snow today but I saw sun yesterday!!!!!!!
Checking in from Ohio...Minus 10 with a chill factor of Minus 30!!!! Schools are canceled here. The sun was shining here all day yesterday too! Actaully, it is shining now.
Earlier this week we were -51C, with windchill. I don't what that is in farenheit but it would be colder than -51. Most days this week we have been in the low -30's with windchill factored in then it's in the -40's. But it's supposed to warm up this weekend
It's a balmy -27F right now with a wind chill of -42F in Iowa. When I came into work yesterday it was -52F with the wind chill. It is supposed to get to 9F today. Yippee!!!
Wow - we haven't broken the sub-zero mark yet in Buffalo. The wind has been nearly non-existant too. I think we dodged this one, because the temps are supposed to be climbing up tomorrow to the teens and then 20's in the next few days.
OMG . Ladies ... your poor things .. and I was complaining about our 18 degrees .. in southern AL ... although we went from a warm rainy 76 degree temperature last week (actually about 3 weeks of those temps) .. to an 18 degree temp this morning . .. errr .. my body is kinda freaking out!!! so are the trees .. some were starting to have buds on them ..
We're at -10 but are supposed to climb. The hens don't like it! Luckily the coop is toasty so they will just spend the day in there, smoking and playing cards.
It was -17 in the low-lying areas near DF's place this morning in southern NH.
I'm cold at home! My electric baseboard heaters are struggling to keep it over 60 in here. I try not to look at my electric meter when I go into the laundry room.
Hi Ninjamom and all you frosty fourm friends! It was ridiculously cold the past few days here in Minneapolis. The -25F + wind chill of -40 something, makes me want to eat and hibernate till Spring comes ... in May. The chicken coop sounds perfect. Tell the chickens to move over and I'll bring the wine. Do they have heat lamps?
