COLD!

Boy and I was complaining about 25 degrees this morning in AZ :eek: It's been cold this year we have had as low as 12 degrees this year which is unusual for Phoenix.

Now it's nice and sunny, 65 degrees. I better zip it and don't complain anymore :cool:
 
Started this morning at -10F.(not sure about the wind chill). It is now a 17F, and it feels pretty warm!!:D
 
Dorothy - I'm a bit north of you (West of Chicago). It was -24 this morning but we made it up to 4 today. Schools have been closed for two days now.
 
my sis in alaska says its -50. that was a few weeks ago so it might be colder now! the record is -60. houston its %50 though for us not used to cold wheather that is freezing!

I cannot imagine what -50 below feels like, just blows me away. I adore cold weather and live in Vegas:confused:...ugh. Its been in the upper 60's here and I am pissed off, where is my winter weather darn it? Oh yeah, you all are hogging it.:DI have way more energy in the cold then the heat.:cool:Go figure.
 
it has only just started getting cold this week so maybe soon you will start getting cold wheather. i wish i could see some real snow some day

I'm in good 'ol Elverson, PA (where the hell is Elverson?), about 45 minutes NW of Philadelphia and we're at a toasty 6 degrees. My DH.DS, and one DD are heading for the Mountains in NW, PA where it was -10 this morning. They're snowmobiling..hope they don't freeze...
 
Ooooh, Melanie, you win I think. Seems like International Falls is always pretty much the coldest place in the nation during cold snaps!

I'm in DC where it's 12 degrees, -11 with windchill.

I'm stocked up on provisions and hunkered down -- not because of the weather but because of the hordes descending on town for the inauguration!:eek::eek::eek:

Good news is that it should be up to a high of about 35 for the big day.:cool:
 
It's eight degrees below zero right now (it was worse last night) here in central Ohio. It's supposed to be 29 degrees on Sunday and up in the 40s later this week. Just weird. I HATE cold weather.

BTW once it is -40, it doesn´t matter whether it is F or C... It´s cold either way!:eek:
 
Here in International Falls, we believe cold is cold. Once it hits a certain point,...it doesn't really matter if it gets colder, b/c it's already cold. Does that make sense?
It amazes me how many elderly people we have up in these parts....many folks in their 90s.... As if the the cold preserves them somehow. :confused:
