******Clean & Tidy Weekend******

I have a long weekend this weekend which is nice. I have all this vacation time I need to use or I will lose it if I ever find another job so I took Monday off. Today I might go shopping - most of my clothes are big so I need to find some things that actually fit. Workout today will be Step Blast, Abs and hopefully a run if it doesn't rain.

Nina, sorry about your TM. I hope you can get it fixed sooner.
Angie, I am excited about STS filming but I don't think we will see anything before Christmas.

Morning ladies

I have a long weekend also. Today after eating my oatmeal I'm going to to power walk around the park for about 1 hour. Then later on I'll take the kids to the festival. It started last night and we can hear the music from our front porch.

I'm excited also about the filming because I like the pics. It would be nice to get it for Christmas.

Did you see the new cathe downloads. You can download sts for only $10 !!!!!!!! That's nice. Too bad I already have most of her workouts.

Busy weekend for us!
Mike's taking DDs to swim while J & I stay home to clean, etc
Then Laura is coming over to carve pumpkins w/ us
Then Mike is taking the big girls out to SHOP FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! It's not like I'm excited or anything!:p
Tomorrow morning we have church and then the families all come over for Julia's birthday party. I hope she tears into the cake like she did for her pics!

We'll do Insanity tonight - Plyo Cardio Circuit.
Not entirely sure on eats but I am SEEING results from Insanity so motivation is SKY HIGH! Breakfast was oats and apples - oh so good! Mike wants me to make chicken and dressing so I suppose I'll do that some time today

JUst came back to say....

I just put Julia's birthday cake in the oven. The batter was looking SO GOOD......I had some on my finger from wiping the side of the bowl and I rinsed it off quick before I could take a lick!

YAY ME!!!!!!

Does anyone else get excited when they resist like that or is it just me?????:eek::eek::eek::eek:
 
Hey everyone. It's almost 5 here. Not sure what happened to the day!

We went out on some errands this morning and were gone for 4 hours. Ryan mowed the lawn and I did some cleaning. Girls are watching Sound of Music and I'm getting ready to make some cookies or muffins (clean ones of course).

Anyway, WO this morning was CCB. That's a nice and easy one! :) One more week of Insanity!!!

Colleen, yay for new clothes. I'm starting to think I'll have to do the same thing. My size 6 was tight on me before insanity and now my 4s are loose! YAY!

Kate, WTG on resisting cake batter. Ryan made pancakes for the girls this morning. I had one small one. Couldn't resist.

Robin, the festival sounds like a nice way to spend a fall day.

Does anyone have a good protein bar recipe? I'm trying to figure out if I can find one so we can avoid importing clif bars. :)

Done with my walk but it was so humid outside I got light headed. I guess I need a big meal.

Kate have fun with weekend with cake-max. If you eat a small piece..it won't make you gain weight.

Angie good cookies and muffins sounds good. What flavor.

Eating an egg white omelette for lunch. I just don't feel like cooking anything else.

kate, i echo robin - one tiny piece will not ruin your results, though as always, i bow to your will power!

hi colleen - glad you have a long weekend to look forward to.

well, i was so sad to not run this am, but i went to this club my mom belongs too that has babysitting too and snuck in a quick run before i took the boys in the pool there. it feels like triple digits. i did some intervals and hills on the tm. did clean max today, then did cardio power and resistance. that was fun! also dd cardio abs - holy hip flexors!! i talked to the tm place, and they will get me a loaner by wednesday:( . i am so bummed. i really really want to go for a long long run, but dh is gone anyways so, sigh, lucky i have insanity. eats are super clean, yea me. boys are doing really well despite dh being gone - i am so proud. back to the pool this afternoon, and a haircut for finn is in the future.

angie, what is the cardio recovery like? good job with the change in size. that is awesome!!
 
I'm back and my DD and her cousin went back to the festival. HA too many teens there for me.:rolleyes: They had nothing healthy BTW but good music and fun games. They had little kittie rides too.

festival lunch-BBQ chicken and side salad that had the dressing already on it :rolleyes: funnel cake bite...so nasty

I'm cooking dinner...salmon and veggies and whole wheat pasta.

I need to detox.

I with you Nina...too many w/o not enough time. Plus those w/o will take up a lot of memory on a ipod. I guess it good for people who are new to cathe

hi clean and tidy ladies! sorry MIA. we are tryin to put the finishing touches on the bathroom this weekend. we put all the trim up today and caulked everything.

b - cott chs, strawbs, pecans, coffee
l - chicken and spinach
d - scallop/snow pea stir fry w/ rice

no wo yet, been busy all day with bathroom when not with JJ. we did go for abt 2miles walk this am but id like to do squeeze tonight after he goes down. dh is not always so happy though when we dont go to bed together...

hope to get back over here soon for personals.
 
What a hot week it has been! I've been out in the sun all morning and now I'm home in the a/c. Finally! I did Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs yesterday. Today I will do Cardio Recovery and ub weights. Eats were good yesterday. Today is football and I suck at eating clean on the weekends. I sound like a broken record. Okay, but seriously my meals are squeaky except weekends. What gives? I think I need to plan ahead so I can pack my meals on the weekends at football games. Any ideas? My snacks have been clean and pc for the most part although I gave in to ice cream twice this week. Goal is super clean dinner tonight and NO snacking except on fruit! I have string cheese to snack on as well as other healthier choices than ice cream for the rest of the week.

Robin - I need to detox too. Fair food is usually bad.
Kate - How old are you going to be young one?? Yay for resisting!
Nina - It's hot here also. I've been getting headaches from the heat and it's so hard to function!
Colleen - Yay for new, smaller clothes!
Angie - I do have an energy bar recipe, but I wouldn't consider it a power bar or clean. I'll post it anyway in case anyone wants to make it for a snack.
Wendy - Hope that bathroom gets done soon.


Pre-measure the following in a pan (to be heated for 15 minutes)
2 1/2 C Rice Krispies
2 C Rolled Oats
1 C Loose Raisins
1 C Unsalted Peanuts


At 325 degree oven, let it bake for 15 nimutes, turning it once after 10 minutes


In another med pot, mix together the following and melt


1/2 block butter
1/2 C peanut butter
1 10 oz bag marshmallows


Once melted, take it off the heat and pour in dry ingredients, once mixed well, pour into a 9 x 13 pan and press

Cool 30 min and then cut up into sizeable pieces and wrap in wax paper

Enjoy!

Hey! If this is a CLEAN EATING checkin why are y'all encouraging me to eat CAKE AND ICE CREAM!!!!!?????:p I have resisted licking any of it today but I still feel nasty just from being around it all day. Weird, huh??

We just finished Plyo Cardio Circuit - those ski abs and in-out abs KILL MY SHOULDERS! I am a dripping wet mess - and I LOVE IT!

Angie, I know there are some recipes for "clif-type" bars on the recipe forum.

I used to lovelove funnel cakes - can't really stand more than a bite anymore. Not worth the cals, for sure!

Mike is wanting to start skipping Insanity WOs!:( I am so bummed. He's missing doinf weights and I admit I am too BUT!!!! BUT!!!! I want to complete this TOGETHER! I told him we could add them on at the end, like 1 body part/day..... we'll see.

Tomorrow is Cardio Recovery - I may do that or CS instead. Aw, who am I kidding. I;ll do CR! I don't want to stray from the rotation!

Better get ready for bed.....
 
good morningall. did i say before i did not like diamond jumps? well i LOVE them in max plyo!! the power jumps i am not so keen on. weird. but i really really like these wos. i would never do the rotation, but for now, with shorter or no runs, it is great, and i love the cardio high - closest thing to running! also, don't you love no equipment???

kate, i am hoping to talk dh into trying the wos, but i doubt i will be successful. anyways, it would still be neat if mike worked out with you, even if he was doing something else. it is not for everyone for sure. and yes, you have acomplished sooo much in 10 yrs. and no encouragement to gourge on cake and ic, just a friendly reminder you can have a little and it won't ruin results;)

lisa, if you do so good during the week, don't worry too too much about the weekends. sometimes it backfires if you are super strict all the time, ya know? but maybe pack some nuts and dried fruit?

wendy< a two mile walk is def something> so you like squeeze stronger? I have the original and go thru phases with it.

robin, i hate fair food:(always grosses me out. i hope you had fun, though. where do you get your salmon, and how do you cook it?

i am sleeping horribly with dh away. it is hard to get used to that part of a new place. my time with the boys is fantastic, though. i feel like my funk has lifted despite no job. i am a ful time mom, esp with dh gone, and it feels really good right now. i will take it. wo this am was max plyo. i am toying with the idea of a run at the club later. i. must. run.! anyways, eats were super squeaky and tidy, and i am thrilled, even if the scale is not moving like i want it to.

Collin is gone with his dad, which sucks :(

I have to spend the next two hours running, which also sucks :(

I have fallen in love with a house and want Chris to agree to look at it, but he is such a tightwad he won't even consider it. You guessed it, SUCKS:(

Wow, what a downer I am! Maybe it's better that I stay away!
 
Hi Everyone!

Well yesterday I didn't really do anything. I was exhausted so I just hung out at home. I am more energized today so I will do yoga soon followed by shopmax. Tonight we are going to TGI Fridays for our free sandwiches (it was a facebook thing).

Nina, I loved the cardio high from the insanity workouts too. I skipped my run yesterday and now I regret it.
Robin, I love the idea of fair food but it is always so gross.
Kate, no encouragement from me to have cake and ice cream. I hope J tears into her cake today.
Wendy, a walk is better than nothing but I understand your frustration about not doing a real workout.
Katie, love the house on facebook. Good luck convincing Chris.

Lisa, eating on the run with a busy schedule is always hard. Good idea to plan some meals/snacks for the games.

Lisa football food? The only thing I can think of is sandwiches with lots of veggies and home sliced meats.

Kate keep on truckin with the rotation. Most men like building muscle than doing a lot of cardio. Some men lose weight just doing body building. Are you going to get the classical stretch 2009?

Nina I buy salmon at Sam's Club because they have great big pieces that I cut up and freeze. I usually bake it with a little olive oil and rosemary. ^5s on the good eats.

today I move into meso 2, chest tri and shoulders.

Chris has agreed to call a friend who works for the bank that we deal with. The house is listed at 300K, and the house we own now we only owe about 140K :eek::confused: So it would be a significant price jump, but we DO have the money.

He has told me that he is not opposed to looking at the house. But he is not as "omw-we-have-to-do-something-about-this-RIGHT-NOW" as I am. I wish I wasn't like that...
 
Hello I guess I'm the only one who cut church today. Good thing the service is on the internet:D

w/o done Sts13 and a classical stretch...great combo. I burned 564 cal.
Why do I burn so much cal doing weight work but can only burn about 250 doing cardio:confused:. I've decided to get my lazy but up early 2 times per week to fit in 20min core workout. My rotation looks like this

sun-sts, class stretch
mon-sts class stretch-legs
tues-early bird core work
wed-sts class stretch-upper body
thur-early bird core work
fri-rest
sat-cardio and core

I still need another cardio maybe on tues and thurs???
