((((( Clean & Tidy Tuesday )))))

Kate, I can't wait to see your pics. Copy the picture code with the IMG tags, then paste it directly into your post.

B cereal
S half sandwich
L tuna salad, crackers, string cheese
S banana, apple slices
D chicken pasta

W/O is Gym Styles Chest & Triceps -- I am really seeing great results with these. I think I will follow the November rotation when it's posted, but I am scared to leave the GSs!

BTW, I was able to book a violinist for the wedding -- I'm so excited!!

Good morning, girls!

Katie, A violinist?! That'll be great!
I'm really looking forward to the November rotation.
In HIS I'm really having a hard time w/ the part in combo 3 where your back is to the screen for so long. Hopefully I'll get it soon.

today:
b - kashi, apple
s - ??
l - veggie salad w/ hard-boiled eggs
s - ??
d - TROUBLE!

I've got a dinner dilemma tonight. Today is my youngest sister's birthday and mine is Saturday. We always celebrate our b'days together and it'll be tonight. My mom is having us over and they're ordering pizza and she got an ice cream cake. I'm going to take a big salad. When I go back to that house I go into "fat daughter" mode and always eat more than I should. Anyone else do this when they go to their childhood home?! I really don't want to eat the pizza or the cake, but my mom will find it really offensive if I don't. I hate this! I am so motivated right now. I think I'm just going to have to offend her. I'll have a little 1/2 slice of pizza I suppose but I really don't want ANY of the cake. I want to do a good hard workout tonight and I find that when I have sugar before a w/o I get so sluggish and can't finish it.

Please send me support!

Need to go check on some things, bbl...

G'Morning Ladies

HIS part 3 combo is hard for me too. The next time I'm going to do it without the step facing the TV, so that I can learn the steps.
Happy Birthday Kate. Maybe you should watch your calorie intake before you go over to your mom and maybe eat a little snack prior, this way you will not eat so much. I understand about family and eating.

today w/o power walking for 30 minutes and LIS (shoulders and core only). The core section was great!
Katie you are making me want to buy Gym Style.

b-kashi or oatmeal
s- yogurt and wheat germ
l-mixed veggies and tuna
d- whole grain pasta and ground turkey meat sauce
s-no salt sunflower seeds

Does anyone know how to cook pumpkin seeds?

Good Morning!

Katie, A violinist sounds so nice! How exciting! Great job with the GS's. Your body might be ready for a change by the Nov. rotation.

Robin, Your menus always sound so good. Good advice for Kate. I had to rewind that part a couple times before I got it. It's fun once you get it.

Kate, I completely understand what you are going through. I was the fat sister too! My sister doesn't eat cake or pizza EVER! I make sure to drink plenty of water and not go over too hungry. But I do eat a small piece of cake and a small portion of whatever is on the menu. Bringing a salad is a great idea. Keep plugging away at combo 3, you'll get it in no time.

My meals were tidy yesterday.:)

I did 4DS KB and legs yesterday and HIS + Chest and Back this morning.

Is our next weigh in Monday?

Kate,

How about bringing some fruit too? You can have fruit instead of cake. You do not have to go in 'fat daughter mode'. You are a fit, strong, healthy woman! You work out too hard to sabotage your efforts! (Maybe I should take my own advice;)... LOL)

Just me again. :)

I am going to take my own advice. I'm going to type the fit, strong healthy woman, etc, etc, affirmation and put in my pantry and fridge. Maybe, I won't be so tempted when I read that!

Thanks for the support, gals! I just had a super lunch: grilled chicken breast, romaine, and some cut-up cuke and g&r peppers. With a big whop of salsa, of course! Handful of graped too. Stuck to my b'fast and lunch was an apple. Not sure on my afternoon snack. Needs to be something low-cal yet very filling so I don't blow it tonight!

Glad to hear you all are having a good day. I'll be back later to let you know how I did. Actually, this fit, strong, healthy woman WILL DO AWESOME!

Shirl - I guess we're doing Mondays. Normally Friday would be a "better" day to weigh in, but maybe by doing it Monday that will keep us motivated to keep it clean even on the weekend, knowing that we're posting Mondays?

Whatcha think?

Hi Everyone!

I fell off the wagon yesterday and went to Happy Hour. My husband ordered a chicken quesadilla and I ate most of it.

Katie - don't worry about leaving GS series. It will be good to take a break and then go back to it in December. You will see even better results when you return to it.
Kate - There is a theory that we revert back to our childhood when we are with our families. Just remember all the hard work you have done and how much you want to maintain those results.
Shirl - keep up the good work
Robin - haven't mastered the 3rd combo but I will probably try over the next couple days.

I think we should weigh in on Mondays. It will keep us clean over the weekend when we need it most.

w/o was PUB
b: shredded wheat w/ almonds
l: pita wrap
s: banana, strawberries & yogurt
d: lean sloppy joes

Have a great day!

Colleen - Looks like you're making up for your slip - good for you!
What's in you pita wrap? Always looking for new ideas....

Ladies, I am exhausted. And I am HUNGRY. I need to figure out the right balance between enough food to feed my body and muscles and keep my energy up, but not so much that it sabatoges my weight loss/maintenance.

My dinner tonight was not as planned, but clean -- grilled chicken, wild rice, green beans.

Kate, how did it go at your moms??

Katie, I understand you food dilemma. I think I have the balance figured out for me...I just have to abide by it.

Thanks for asking about my mom's. It went well. I had a small slice of pizza w/ veggies on it. And a small piece of cake. I brought an apple along to eat. Earlier in the day I told my mom I was going to bring a salad and she got really wierd. She pretty much told me not to bring it. Isn't it funny how people who don't eat healthy almost get *mad* when YOU do? Sheesh!

She did make up for it though by getting me some great birthday gifts - cool knee socks from JCrew ( I am almost addicted to knee socks - I have SO MANY pairs), funky colored tights, a gift card to Hobby Lobby (I'm a HUGE scrapper) AND a mini food processor. I couldn't believe it. Even when we were kids if she spent $30 on us she'd make a huge deal out of it and we'd feel guilty she'd spent any at all, even tho I KNOW $$ is no problem for them. Oh, well. I think the main thing your parents teach you is how to NOT parent your own kids! LOL.

I did shoulders, calves, and core from LIS. I wanted to do the cardio too but my legs are really needing the rest. Tomorrow is supposed to be total rest day, but maybe I can sneak that in.

Hope everyone finished well today. Looking forward to an AWESOME day tomorrow!
