### Clean & Tidy Monday Weigh-In ###

Happy Monday! How was your weekend?

Tell all -- what did the scale tell you this morning?

What is your plan for today and the rest of the week?
 
Last week my weight was 138. Today the scale said 138.5.

I consider this a victory! First of all, I had at least one cheat EVERY SINGLE DAY last week. Secondly, I have moved to lifting heavier weights (which has got me really hungry, btw), and I am retaining water.

I am not sure how I like the new rotation with the 4DS. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the workouts. I'm just not sure if the strength training concept is right for me. Nevertheless, I will stick with it for four weeks.

Today is Veteran's Day, so another random day off for me. I am about to do 4DS HIS + Chest and Back, followed by protein shake, followed by shower and check up at the dr. for Collin. Not sure what after that!

Menu for today...

B protein shake
S half sandwich
L tuna, crackers, baby carrots
S banana
D ???, maybe pasta, chicken, and broccoli, ???

Good attitude, Katie. I didn't get a chance to weigh-in. DDs were up and I don't like them to see me weigh myself. Willtry tomorrow.

Off to take DD to dentist. Eating will be completely off-scedule today but will keep it clean. Workout will be LIS & Weights.

Morning ladies

Well today weight is the same as last week. I'm surprised that I did not gain weight. Next week is my DS b-day then it's Thanksgiving, Christmas,etc. My goal for the next month and 1/2 is to NOT GAIN WEIGHT.

Last year around this time I was on the zone diet and I did not gain weight. I'm not going on that crazy diet again but I'm going to eat clean until Thanksgiving. It's so hard, even at work patients keep bringing us cakes, cookies, etc. Even the doctors are in on the conspiricy (sp?). Last week one of the doctors brought in candy from the middle east!

Robin, I think you have a great plan! I didn't realize that Thanksgiving was so close, and the entire month of December is filled with calorie-laden baked goods. We all need to be diligent about our eating!

Kate, I applaud you for your attitude towards the scale in front of DDs and your obviously awesome mothering. I am terrified of ever having a girl, and passing on to her my food and weight "issues" as my dear mother did to me. I think weighing tomorrow or some other time sounds perfect!

Workout this morning was great! I am going to try weights first this week, and today it was awesome. DF and I got Chest and Back done (even threw in a few extra sets) before Collin woke up, then DF took Collin upstairs to watch the Wiggles while mommy did HIS. I was really working it and having a great time this morning, so I did the finished combos twice (only an extra 3 minutes or so). I LOVE POWER BOXES!!

Off to the doctor for a check up with Collin. I promised Collin that after the dr we would workout together, so I think we will get out the yoga mats and do a stretch or something.

This weekend was definitely a cheat weekend since we celebrated my Mom's birthday. I ate all kinds of bad stuff but I did manage to loose 1/2 pound.

Kate - It's good that you are sparing your daughters and not making them slaves to the scale.
Katie - I think I will try weights first for the 4DS. I usually do weights first and then cardio if I am doing both and I like it better.
Robin - You have a great goal. I will try to do the same but I always breakdown right around Christmas and gain a couple of pounds.

No workout today. My sinuses are all congested and I don't feel well.

Hey, ladies! Everyone sounds like they have a good plan going.

Katie - I wish DH would workout w/ me too!!!! That's nice Chris does that with you - AND gave you extra time for cardio!! He's a keeper! BTW, any more wedding details??!!

Robin - Are you having a big party for DS's bday? It's hard to resist sweete esp. when EVERYONE around you is indulging!

Colleen - Good job on you 1/2 lb! Good eats today too!

My day is going great. Looking forward to the rest of it!

For my son't b-day I will be taking him out for dinner. So I guess I won't cheat much, until the chocolate cake comes out.

Now Thanksgiving over my family's house is another story. My family is demanding and will want me to try every dessert and dish. They usually start drinking around 12 noon, so by 6:00 there is always a fight.
 
Hey, Steph - Hope things are going good for you & DH.

Robin - Ugh. Holiday horror.... It's so hard, isn't it? Don't you hate when your own family tries to derail your efforts? Tonight we're going to MIL's for dinner & they're the same way....try this, try that, you don't eat enough for a bird! We don't ever have the drinking/fighting stuff, thank goodness. Any chance you and your kids can take a mini-vacation? We thought about doing that this year.

Eating has been good today. I'm taking a cut-up veggie tray to MIL's so that will keep me thru. Looking forward to a good hard workout. That will keep me motivated to eat clean. I get thru my w/o's so much easier when I've "fueled up with premium"!

Kate, thanks for your kind words re: DF. He is great most of the time, but things really got rough last week when Collin was waking up early and no one was getting a workout in. More than a few harsh words were said. Finally I think we have got a decent plan worked out. It worked beautifully this morning, but I didn't have to go to work so that helped!

We have an appointment with a DJ tonight, although I'm not really sure what we are supposed to be talking about.

I think we have made a deal with our photographer -- a friend of ours locally who will make the trip with us and is charging close to nothing to take the pictures and give us the negatives. He really is a wonderful photographer, and a wonderful friend too apparently!

I think for Christmas, as part of DF's present, I am going to book us a small trip to Nags Head. It will give us a few days away, and we can use that time for wedding planning stuff that is harder to do from far away.

What else haven't I thought about yet?
 
Really nice rental house Katie, but are you really going away to plan your wedding? ;-)

Do you have a wedding organizing book, they look like scrapbooks and they are lots of fun to fill out.
 
Hi Everyone!

Just a quick hello! I decided to weigh in this morning - I lost a half a pound. I was surprised. DH and I went shopping today; we really enjoyed ourselves. We rarely get to spend time together; it was nice.

I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow - Good Night!
