Clean eating

Cheshire Cat

Cathlete
Can anyone recommend a good book with recipes regarding clean eating? It's time I backed up my intense workout plan and looked after the food side of my life. Don't need to lose any weight but I work so hard training that my arteries, I'm sure, one day will hit back with all the rubbish I eat.

Any suggestions will be greatly received!

Thanks

CC

I do not follow Body for Life so to speak but I Love the Eating for Life book by Bill Phillips. All the recipes I have tried so far have been great, my family has all enjoyed them and they have been easy to prepare. The only thing I have not liked so far are the desserts but I have only tried two, the brownies and the cheescake. Best book I have gotten latley in regards to eating healthy...

I don't know what Bobbi's skinny fat plan is, but mine is I'm fat and I wanna be skinny. Basically it's just a concept at this point, but I'm sure to think of a plan soon. Just kidding.

Seriously, why weren't you at the Mall of America on Saturday missy? We missed you!

Jillybean, you are so funny! It's a plan to build muscle and burn away my ab fat. I am doing heavy strength training and moderate cardio now to lay down muscle on this scrawny bod and when I have enough, assuming I can get enough, I am going to do endurance type strength work and high intesnity cardio to become a lean, mean mama! :)

Hi CC! The best book I found is called "Stella's Kitchen". The author of this book is a woman bodybuilder. The recipes are very economical & fast to cook up. I've tried many of them so far & they're all full proof. Look it up on amazon. I think its under $15.00 & she happens to be a friend of Dave Draper. HTH, Kathy:D

Yeah, where were you by the way? We had lots of laughs and fun, but the more the merrier is what I always say! Next time...

I don't know about books, but I always make sure I wash my hands before eating. This way, my M&Ms, Doritos, and Mickey's donuts are clean when I eat them. Hence, clean eating!

Ha Jilly! Those are PEANUT M&M's, right? After all, peanuts are good for you right? Yuuum!

Hello fellow Minnesotan! And yes, peanuts are good for you. As are chocolate covered almonds, corn nuts (corn is a vegetable), rice crispie treats (rice is a clean food), Milky Way candy bars (milk is good for you), Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (Cathe said she gets some of her protein from peanut butter), pork rinds (the other white snack crisp), Almond Joys (almonds are good for you, as is joy), the list goes on and on...
