Clean Eating

I'm new to this website, but have been spending some time reading posts. I am trying to lose the fatty layer around my lower stomach, butt and thighs. I have been working out on and off for many years, but have been back at it regularly for the past four months. I probably need to watch my diet more and was wondering if someone could detail what is ment by "clean eating." I try to eat a healthy, low fat diet, but do not turn down the occational slice of pizza or other high fat foods. Does "clean" mean never having anything with more than a certain amount of fat?? I am working out approximately 2 hours a day - 4-5 days a week - alternating cardio intervals with weights and yoga videos. I feel more toned, but the fat is staying put? Any advise?

Clean eating may mean different things to different people. To me, it's not necessarily "low fat", but moderate, good fat, moderate protein, and high complex carbohydrates. It's avoiding processed foods (white flour, sugars, etc) and staying as "whole food" as possible (ie: prefering cooked whole oats to oat meal, prefering oat meal to dry cereal, which is made from flour). It's avoiding nutrient-poor "food" like sodas and candy.
