^^^^cLEAN-eating....even on vacation...Monday ^^^^

I've done pretty well with food and kept up with my workouts.
Saturday we played in the waterpark all day then I got 30 min. on the treadmill.
Last night I did Leslie Sansone's 4-mile walk.
We are in our regular condo for the rest of the week and the kids are watching plenty of cartoons so I should be able to alternate walking and stretching in the mornings and evenings. Hoping to keep active during the days.

We are spending the day on the beach and in the pool today. Should be a nice sunny day.

No clue on menu as we are out to eat every meal but doing well with keeping clean.

Hey Kate, sounds like vacation is going really well, have fun!!

I'm back from my weekend away, missed you all. I kept active as well -- lots of walking each day. Food was clean but higher calorie than I am used to. LOTS of fruits and veggies each day, and I feel good about that. Usually when I go away, all I eat is carbs but that was not the case this weekend.

Also, I got a really good book in the mail on Friday from Amazon, so my nose was stuck in that book all weekend. 400 pages, finished in record time. Couldn't put it down.

Workout was short this am -- short on time. I did 4DS shoulders, calves, and core. I have a busy day at work today (drug screen tonight)so I likely won't get home til around 7 or 730. It will be worth it tomorrow, though, when I get to leave early!!

Not totally sure on the menu, will post tonight.

Glad you had a good weekend Katie. ^5 on good eating! What book did you read? Sounds like it was a good one! Nice workout - good for you! I'm missing lifting already but I suppose it will be a good rest week - it's not like I'm really building any muscle right now anyway. Hope you're not too wiped out after such a long day. Happy Monday clean peeps

Sorry i was MIA this weekend as well, Christian and I had counselling Saturday, then went out for sushi (which is a first for me!), and Sunday a good friend of mine had a party, so we went to his friends place for a bit, then my friends place and the days just got away from me. Saturday was far from clean,and involved apple strudel...and sushi, but oh well, yesterday was better.

Kate, sounds like you're kinda relaxing :) Excellent job on the w/o's! Giving the muscles a break this week might change things up.

Katie, you too, awesome. Dad kept your eating clean :)

Robin, looks like you kicked butt this weekend, Jenn, enjoy your vacation too! Colleen, ours starts in a week or so :)

Angie, i saw you asked what kind of PP people use. I use either AOR or Genuine health, i'm not sure these are Canadian brands though, they may be.

Today, teach this morning, run back to work, lunch meeting...yikes.

Robin, yay to new WO's! Those swt & salty bars are sooooo delicious! Is it the Nature Valley ones? WOW! those are so yummy.

breakfast was french toast and turkey sausage. I had brought a banana to eat but I'm satisfied so I'll eat it for AM snack.

DDs are watching cartoons for a bit so I'll do CS for an hour and then hopefully it will be warm enough to go on the beach.

Good Morning Everyone!

Not feeling 100% this morning. There is a stomach flu going around work and I think I caught it. I started feeling ill at a picnic last night. I can eat but I just feel nauseous. I am the last one to get it so hopefully it won't be that bad. I wanted to work from home today but the cleaning lady is coming today. So I will work from home on Friday instead.

Steph, mmmm strudel and sushi. Sounds like you had a good weekend.
Kate, glad your vacation is starting off well.
Katie, good job on eating lots of fruits and veggies. Hope you make it through your long day.

Angie, I have protein powder but I hardly ever use it because I don't like the taste.

I've always wanted to try tilapia - scared to eat fish now that I'm pg. (mercury levels)

Just got done with CS - Athletes Intense Stretch. Feels good to stretch out - hoping to do CS everyday of vacation.

Despite the fact that it's breezy and gray DDs want to go out to the beach and the pool. Oh, do I ever hate being chilly, esp. in a swimsuit. Wish me luck!
 
Good morning everyone!

The weekend was pretty good. My lower back was super sore on Saturday so I skipped the WO but did really well for KB/Legs/Core yesterday. Was a sweaty mess! Eating wasn't horrible but had a recipe disaster on Saturday so ended up eating unplanned yuck. I have this habit of not reading the recipe all the way through and then I do it incorrectly. It's so stupid.

Anyway, I'm enjoying all the "clean" good food we have in the house but it's murdering my grocery budget. We weren't paying attention and got 2.5 lbs of cherries at Whole Foods yesterday and it was $15! Need to look a little more closely!

So, today will be clean - not sure what but it will be. Got some almond butter so I'm going to try it on my ezekial bread this morning.

Kate - it sounds like you are having a nice vacation. It's strange because I pretty much live in vacation land. We hit the pool pretty much daily from March-October. I'll miss that when we move to France.

Katie - the book sounds great. Good job with your fruits and veggies!

Steph - you inspire me with your menus. I could learn a thing or two!

Robin - I should try some of the premixes on the 4Ds. I get bored doing them the same way over and over!

Colleen - stomach flu is the worst! I hope you feel better soon. My issue when I'm sick is that I always eat poorly!

Well, I'm going to do some sort of 4DS workout today. Might try to mix it up this week and do 2 lifting days and 2 cardio days.

That's a good plan Angie, 2 cardio and 2 weight days. I may cut my weight w/o down to only 2. if i do 3 days of weights I will be sore all month.:+

$15 worth of Cherries :eek: at least you will be "regular" ;-)

In Oxygen magazine there is a contest to see who can have the best before and after pics of their abs. So I was thinking that I will eat carbs and fats for 3 days and take the before pics. Then w/o like a crazy woman for 4 months and then take the after pics. On the other hand that is too much work, forget it. But the 1st place prize is $1,000 and 2nd place prize is $500.

We ended up doing mini-golf and out to lunch. Isabel and I just got done showering from being on the beach. Gina and Mike wanted to stay out longer so Isabel is watching cartoons (yes, again!) and I'm kickin' back here! We'll go out to eat in a while.

Angie, I always forget to look at prices at whole foods too. I don't really like cherries so I don't have to worry about spending a lot of money on them.
Robin, love your plan for Oxygen. I don't take vitamins but I know I should. I guess I am just confused by all the conflicting information that is out there.
Kate, mini-golf sounds like fun. I haven't done that in ages.

Well DS sent me about 200 pictures of my niece from the last 2 months. There are 3 batches and I don't think I will get through them all tonight. Good thing she has a digital camera.
 
I got home from work at 630, asleep on the couch by 7. I'm up now, but feeling really tired. And hungry.

HELP ME!
 
So tonight I did the cardio mix on bm2... it was awesome. I don't like the leg drills that she does with the circuits so it was nice to just have a total cardio workout. Tomorrow I am going to do an upper body wo of some sort.

Had a great dinner tonight from a clean eating mag recipe. Morocan chicken on bulgar salad. Left out the cherries and it was supposed to have eggplant but ours was bad. Could prob substitute any veggies though - lots of flavor though, not bad!

Anyway, I know everyone else is already sleeping. Sweet dreams all.
