Clean Eating Challenge Check-In - November 3, 2005

Hey Becky, sorry with this late reply, but I just wanted to say that I usually eat my breakfast an hour to and hour and a half before I workout, so I'm not dying while I'm working out with no food in me and so that I have enough energy to sustain my workouts too. See what I'm sayin'?:) But that's because that's what works best for me. Some people have a hard time workout with food in their stomachs even after and hour or so of digestion. Still, I think it depends on how your body reacts to the food and exercise, heck, it could vary everyday for all ya know! teehee:D Hope this helps!
 
How many calories in a noclue and what is your favorite way to prepare it? I like them lightly grilled and served on a bed of idontknow. And for dessert, a huge dish of forgetaboutit.
 
B-Kashi Go Lean cereal with f/f milk
S-1 oz part skim mozzerella
L-1 serving of tuna helper prepared l/f
S-1/2 cup l/f cottage cheese and an apple
D-???
 
LMAO!

I like mine marinated in some whoknows and baked for whatever minutes and served with shredded notaninkling with some needasuggestion sauce.

Sure thing Joni,

1 cup ff milk
1T sugar (I used splenda)
1 T unsweetened cocoa
dash of salt (I left it out)
1/8 t. vanilla

Combine milk, sugar, cocoa & salt in saucepan.
Cook, stirring occasionally over med. heat until milk begins to steam but not boil.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
1 gram of fat
0.5 sat fat
2 grams fiber

DELICIOUS!!

So far my eating is good:
before workout snack, energy bagel bar
after : yogurt , 1 piece homemade l/f pumpkin bread
lunch: HUGE salad with salmon & tons of veggies , tricuits and hummus
Am getting ready to make a protein smoothie.......
Dinner, dont' know yet.......
 
Hi Ladies! Checking in later than usual but here it is

B-Vit/Protein shake with 1/2 bananna & strawberries
S-2 whole wheat crackers w/lf cheese, grapes, almonds
L-chicken breast, baby carrots, pear
S-1/4 cup cottage cheese, apple, walnuts
S-lettuce wraps (diced ch breast with sugar snap peas)
D-vegetable shrimp over spaghetti squash
S-lf yogurt w/tbs granola
 
B-- more toast with PB
L-- 1/2 turkey sandwich and a few french fries (a few is clean eating for me!!!!!!!)
D-- the other 1/2 of the turkey sandwich

no snacks. I am in the middle of parent-teacher conferences. I know that I am not eating enough. I will be lucky to get any water in, but I will try!

Hey girls,

Shelley you are right I need to plan out because at work I don't have a choice to eat unless I bring my own. Today I haven't eaten any sweets but I did do a boo-boo and go by McDonalds and got a cheeseburger kids meal. My PT is right beside it so I am so tempted! But this is what I ate so far today:

Bkf-Yoplait light smoothie (only 9grams of sugar)
lunch-Turkey dog and baked chips(have to do lunch before snack because of time I have to eat)
snack-small orange
afternoon I ate the dreaded kids mealx(

supper-?

I did pretty good today.

B-eggwhite vegetable omelette
L-Applebees, ww onion soup and split a shrimp skewers with friend
D-plan on 2 pcs. of chicken thigh (w/o skin) 1/2 sweet potato and some kind of vegetable

I feel huge today though. This is my third day of being "good". I need to lose 10 pounds although it feels like a hundred!!!!!
 
I had a bad day today. I've been under a lot of stress so I ate way too much chocolate (ugh if I could kick my own butt I would) I didn't exercise yesterday and today I'm sleep deprived and I feel like sleeping not exercising. I'm not going to give up. I'm going to read a couple of things and then I'm going to bed. Tomorrow I'll exercise to make up for the two unexpected rest days. I'll stay away from chocolate too. My stomach hurts pretty bad so that'll help me to be good with my eating tomorrow.
