Circuit Workout

Your comment about Susan's oohing and ahhing is great! My sis and I always get a good chuckle when we do this workout!

"One of the best Firm films is Mark Henrickson's "20 Questions About Fitness". Actually he had already won a documentary award while in college (where is where he met Anna if my memory serves me).

I think everybody should see that video because almost every single scrap of information in the video is useful, tested, and timeless.

It is one of the best fitness informational videos ever made. When I want to motivate myself, I still watch "20 Questions about Fitness"

It is the best documentary on fitness I've seen to date."

I totally agree with you. I know you recall that before "the change" "20 QAF" was attached to the end of each workout. So I have 6 of them not including when they separated it to offer as a bonus for purchasing a workout.

YOU'RE 53? You certainly can't tell that from your picture. Man, I hope that when Cathe (and I) are 53 that she will still make killer workouts (please don't retire, Cathe!), that I will be as fit as you are to be able to do them and that you, at age 63 are still doing them as well.

How fun it is to be fit.

At first, the documentary was included free at the end of the videos.

Then The Firm began to charge a $5 ship/handling fee.

I recall as the Classics came out, there would be some addtions to the original workout.

I wonder if it is still in print.

Actually, I won't be 53 until October.

I have never had a suntan, smoked, or partied with drugs in my life.

I do not drink any alcohol either.

I am boring, I suppose, to the average person.

I think Cathe will still make workouts for a long time to come. She knows how to take care of herself.

Even if she were to retire from leading workouts, I think she will always be invloved in fitness film making. There may be new instructors when Cathe is 75 years young, but she will be at the helm.

Charlene Prickett did a great advanced step video when she was 57 and she had a 59 year old in the cast.

Trust me, that video is not easy. It kicks major butt!

I was humbled!!!!

I like it when Susan says, "Now isn't this better than dieting?"

I think that line is so cute as she is ooohing and ahhhhing, although the statement is not entirely correct. It takes takes both diet and exercise to get results.

I think that video has stood the test of time. Sure, the clothing and music are dated, but the video itself is my all time Firm favorite.

You're causing trouble for me Amy. Now I'm thinking about whipping that video out on a rest day and giving it a whirl. It's been years and years since I've done Firm Vol. I. I think I mentioned previous that I did sometimes add the first section of Vol. II to Drill Max. I do Cathe's warm up and then the first drill max drill and then Firm Vol. II until she changes from weights to high/low. Then I complete Drill Max.

I don't drink alcohol, smoke, use drugs either. I don't think it makes you boring at all. It's a smart, healthy choice and is the reason you look so young and are so healthy and strong today. It used to irritate me to see someone leave the gym after a nice long workout and immediately light a cigarette or cross the street to the local sports bar to get a beer. What's that about?
