OMG, Ladies - just completed Circuit Max - Wow :-wow I LOVE IT :7 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel GREAT !!!!!!!! :7 :7 :7 :7 :7
I am sat here at my computer, quivering, I don't think I have ever sweated so much.......EVER ! And I don't think I'll be able to walk tomorrow, hope my legs get life back in them, because I have a driving lesson tomorrow night ! I managed to get as far as the last segment of step, and gave up, because I just couldn't get the coreography ?

Just a quick question about planks though, please ? (BTW, my ab muscles are hurting nicely :D) Can I practice these during the day without warming up first ? I HAD to do them on my knees - phew ! you can still feel it though !

Well, I am now off to have a nice.....warm......bath :)

Isn't that one awesome? For me the fun factor is through the roof with the mix of cardio styles as well as the mix of resistance moves. Just don't do like I did - 10 Monday straight of it and almost - ALMOST - getting a little tired of it.

IMHO, you can practice planks without warming up; however, I think you'll get the best benefit doing them after a good vertical cardio workout because not only will your core temperature be elevated and all of your muscles oxygenated including the abs, but also because your abs will have been engaged during the cardio workout, especially during kickbox segments.

I did CM this morning too, and boy, I thought I was gonna die! Sometimes I do it and it doesn't seem that difficult to get through, but it about did me in today. I guess it's as Cathe says, "All depends on what you ate, how you slept, and what's going on in your life."

Fun, stuff, huh?:) Enjoy your long bath...I just enjoyed a long, hot shower.

Bernard - sounds like you had fun! I am still yet to complete Circuit Max in it's entirety! Looks like I need to really give it a shot. I might try it tomorrow.

As far as your plank question... I think it is alright to do them. I have went to a few training sessions and each time by trainer had me warm up with planks. Every time it immediately took my heart rate up a bit and make me start to sweat a bit too (amazing isn't it!!!) Anyway, I don't think it can be that bad for you because I see a lot trainers doing the same thing at my club:)

I love planks too. I love that sore feeling they give my entire core!

I've been waiting to see what you would think of Circuit Max!! I think it is one of the hardest workouts I've ever done in my life. I agree with your part about sweating more than you've ever sweated before. That is exactly how I feel after that tape. I only do it on days when I feel really pumped up and can give it my all. I have previewed Circiut max a few times and did a little of the warm up last night. Since I have mastered the moves of All Step I am so scared to try a new video for fear of not getting as good of a work out. I think I just need to set aside some time on a Saturday to do this. And hopefully the muscles won't be soar so I can do the weight training in the video too.

Hi Beth,

Don't worry about trying out Circuit Max, at some points I didn't know what I was supposed to be doing, but despite that, I dripped with sweat, even though I didn't do it perfectly. I found the strength work quite a relief, in between the cardio stuff. Give it a go, you will love it and feel so exhilerated after doing it. I was still breaking out into a sweat last night an hour after having my bath ! That has never happenned before !?! :D

I did this Tuesday after a 2 month hiatus(minus the last 2 step sections, I was just too tired!) . Now that I have the space my heart rate rocketed up to 161 (high end is supposed to be 144) WITH MODIFICATIONS!!!!

I love it, but it's so tough. I don't know if I will ever be able to do the entire tape; 40 minutes is more than enough.

I love Circuit Max - something tells me I am going to enjoy that more than IMAX, which I haven't done yet ! (VERY scared - that is Sunday night's workout, to get a feel for it). I am beginning a Fat Melting Tape Rotation on Monday, which I am so looking forward to ! I am STILL aching from Circuit max on Wednesday, but it is a nice ache :D

I find circuit max harder than imax.I recently did cia pump party with mindy and I found it just as difficult or more so.I think I was not used to the moves.

I feel better now about my up and coming weekend date with IMAX. I survived Circuit Max (just), so maybe I will be OK ! Look out for my report on Sunday !!!!!!! :)
