circuit blast

This was the first workout that I reached for and I really enjoyed it. I love that it was only 45 min and it was total body. My heart rate stayed up the entire time, and the impact was high, but for some reason it didnt bother me like some other impact does. I know this is going to be a favorite of mine.

I liked it a lot, too. It is really easy to modify, too -- cathe does make suggestions, but, it's obvious that if you can't box jump with 4 risers, use less! I used 2 risers, and I think I will use 3 next time. I think one could use no risers, and you'd get a decent workout. There are other jumpy exercises that could be hard on my bad knees, such as frog jumps, or tuck jumps, but, I just don't jump as high :D.

The exercises were fun with new twists, so the workouts were not the same old same old! She has some new creative exercises which make it interesting!

This was my first Shock Cardio as well, and I really liked it. Many of the moves were challenging , so it gave me a great sense of accomplishment to be able to complete them. Of course, there were some, mainly the ones involving pushups, that will give me a goal to one day be able to complete. I went lighter on the weights, because I have STS-Chest, Shoulders, and Biceps to do tomorrow. I used Circuit Blast mainly for a shorter cardio workout.

I did this workout today and it will be one I reach for frequetly in the future. Those 45 minutes just fly by and I really enjoyed the mix of moves. I love this whole series!!!

This was my first Shock Cardio workout too (previewed it last night), and loved it. I feel pretty accomplished and energized. It was very modifiable and kept my heart rate up. Good music too!

Hmm...this is the only workout I've ordered so far, and I just finished doing it for the first time. There were some parts that got my heart rate up there, but at the end I felt like I needed to add more on. I can't really say which body parts were worked - seemed like a little bit of work for a few body parts. I can't say I don't like it, but I guess I'm a little disappointed - I thought it would be more intense. This will be one for my light workout days.

Me, too. I liked it, but was disappointed that I only burned a little over 300 calories (according to my Polar). I'm used to burning between 400-500 calories for a Cathe cardio.

It has it's place, though. And it was very fun.

I did this workout this morning and really liked it. I know it wasn't a 500 calorie burner, but you dont have to do that every day. I felt like I accomplished quite a bit in that amount of time.

I did the box jumps (successfully) with three risers, and some of the other moves that were jumpy I was quite happy with my stamina..especially after doing MMA Boxing last night!:p (which I loved!)

Circuit Blast started off with some calf warmup which was still warmed-up from last night's workout! Yowser!

I liked the functional fitness including the weights with this workout and think I'll feel it in all kinds of places tomorrow;) Thanks Cathe for another great workout! I'll be reaching for this one often.

I did this yesterday. Love it. Short time, but effective. Since I am still having problem with my glutes/hamstring injury in my left leg, I paced myself. I did not do box jump. Instead, I jump in my mini trampoline. I just with my knee high in front of my chest, high jump with my feet touch my butts and jumps with size twist. I felt my heart rate was high up there. But today, I did not have any problem with my knees. Only soreness I feel in my quads. Also in the areas that connect leg and thighs. I am very happy with this sorness since I knew it worked in my problem areas.

I also like this series that each dvd (I did 3 so far) comes enough stretch. Each stretch is different. It really help me to come back while I am waiting for my full healing.

I did this one yesterday and it was my first workout too (I'm on the west coast and just received my dvds). I thought it was a great workout! There's definitely room to grow for me, the box jump height, the squat thrust pushup things.....omg. I am really feeling it today in my rear and the back of my thighs. :) Can't wait to try the rest of these!

Hi All! This workout is purposely not the "highest of high" intensity in this particular series but that is also why we offered the "cardio only" premix so that you could do cardio alone, or cardio two times back to back or add the cardio only option on to another workout. There are many options with this workout. Enjoy!
