Well, I don't know what's gotten into me lately but I have recently "discovered" and appreciate Jari Love (S&L, GR1000, GRTTC) then I bought a bosu. Then I discovered the two new cardio's from Amy Bento. Now I bought a step and bosu workout called Double Cardio. I've previewd the All Body Cardio (the instructor is Sharon Money Twombly) and I think I will LOVE this workout. The WU looks like it has the most choreography but the rest of the cardio looks like intesne, athletic, cardio drills with flare though (not boring) alternated with intense core work and somewhat functional total body work using light weights. There are sections where they take the top off the step and use that for endurance training for the arms but I have a Reebok step and will use my med ball instead. The music was pumping also and the instructor was way cool. Not too animated, saying just enough to be encouraging and to cue the moves.
Right now I'm previewing the Bosu Blast with Seasun Zieger. First of all I love the music. This one will have a huge learning curve for me. Very choreographed and especially since I'm new to the bosu. I can't wait to learn it though and plan on practicing a little bit of it before or after each workout session. I love a new challenge.
I also bought Bosu Reactive Strength and Power with Gay Gasper. This one will be good for the balance, upper, and lower body work with the bosu, but the music is eh and not loud enough (which is good since the music is eh to down right horrible in most of the workout).
Anyway, I think the CIA workout will be fabulous cardio and a great way to continue to shake things up for me. NOW I need to come up with a new rotation to incorporate all my new workouts and some Cathe strength. I've been weak in the straight up strength department lately, but gosh darnnit, I'm having fun with my new discoveries!!!
I am shaking it up and having some FUN!!!
