Hi All,

What is everyone planning for Christmas dinner this year ? And do you have a special dinner on New Years Day ?

We are having a veggie lasagne, garlic bread and salad. For pudding, I will be having Christmas pud, DH will be having apple crumble, and the children will be having ice-cream. We always have a New Years Day dinner, and I think it will be pretty much the same thing again.

Anna :)

I will by flying home to the folks house for Christmas. My mom always makes a ham (spiral ham YUM) and a whole bunch of other good stuff. There will also no doubt be apple pie and I may make a cheesecake.

I'll be back here by New Years and my boyfriend and I will probably spend most of it sleeping and then drinking coffee, no special dinner - too much work and I may be tad hungover!

Hi Anna!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-07-02 AT 11:53AM (Est)[p]Our Christmas family tradition is a Ham, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, other odds & ends (depending on what other family members bring) & of course Pumpkin Pie! :9 Our traditional New Year's dinner is sauerkraut & pork, with the same Christmas side dishes. We make sure to have applesauce as it is said to help with the digestion of the sauerkraut. (NOT sure???) You, or should I say, I am making myself hungry!

RE: Hi Anna!

Have you ever cooked minced apples WITH the sauerkraut? It's delicious and you could kill two birds with one stone.

RE: Hi Anna!

We usually do a repeat of Thanksgiving like Bobbi, but this year we are going to do lasagna which is our back-up tradition. My mom will make her breadsticks, big salad and I'll probably make chocolate sheet cake. My hubby's favorite. For New Year's we usually do a soup of some sort, but I haven't decided yet. Maybe chili? Usually we'll have some friends come over and share the meal and play some games. Heather

I will be dining at a local truck stop where they have holiday buffets, and I will be keeping up with the truckers, you can bet on that!

I will spend the day vegging out, and will do the same on New Years. BUT - I WILL be working out. Exercise does not take a holiday for me.

Just Do It! :)

Every year, everyone one, haves a BIG TURKEY DINNER.With everything.I don't think it would be the same without it.The turkey is usually in the oven alnight long and mom use to get up numerous times to check on it and then around 6 she would wake us up.
Now, I am a married women and I am hoping that a family member is getting up and checking on their turkey cause I don't have a clue about the bird.
Samething for New Years to.We have either turkey or ham.I can't beleive that it is almost here again. Two weeks from Wed and you all know how fast two weeks go by....
