Christian Bale in Terminator--whaddya think?

I think I'm very excited! Linda Hamilton in T2 was pretty much my inspiration for fitness, & regardless of how bad the Terminator movies get they'll always have a special place in my heart. :)

And Christian Bale has a special place in my something else. ;):eek::D

Did you guys hear his rant on the movie set? Hot guy has hot temper! LOL!

Laura,

I still have the pages I tore out of a magazine of the work out she did to get in shape for the movie LOL :p
She was an inspiration for me too !!

You got me thinking of having a Terminator night, haven't watched those back to back for ages.
Heard the rant from Mr. Bale last night on T.V they had to bleep a few words there ;)

Bri :)

A few words? According to what I saw this morning, the rant is several minutes long and says the "f" word something like 36 times. The studio released the tape to protect themselves for insurance purposes because they fear he's going to walk off the set. The guy appears to have some issues. Wasn't it just about 6 months ago that he got arrested for "assaulting" his mother and sister at some hotel in London? Maybe some anger management classes Mr. Bale? Or a pin to pop your ego bubble? What's up there?

oh, i first fell in love w/ him in swing kids!

but that american psycho movie.....yuck. turned it off right away.

I'm not buying the studio's reason for releasing the tape. He was taped making the tirade in July of last year. The film is already done. Makes 0 sense to release it now. NY25 - they claim this tape was actually made within days of the supposed assault. The guy definitely has some anger issues. He probably has a lot of issues frankly. He's been in show biz since he was a little kid ("Empire of the Sun" anyone?). He has probably been a really spoiled brat whose been told all his life how wonderful he is. I still love him though. ;)

Hey, I didn't even know they were making another Terminator movie. When is it due out? I'll be 1st in line at the box office.:p

Ah - I didn't know this tape was that old. If that's the case, then this is for publicity for the movie, it it's that close to release. Either way, he's clearly got some issues. I didn't realize he was in Emperor of the Sun - I didn't know he's been around that long. He needs an "attitude adjustment!" hehe

It'll be released this May. I guess this'll be the first T movie ever w/o Arnold, which is kinda sad. But I suppose it isn't appropriate for a governor to wander around beating the crap outta and/or shooting people. :D

I'd rather see Arnold in it, I don't care much for Christian Bale. (Sorry Laura!) I will still go see the movie, though. I loved all the other Terminator movies.

I want to see the new Friday the 13th movie too!

I'm w/ Debbie. Not into Christian Bale AT ALL! Sorry!

I still think MIchael Keaton was by far the best Batman.

Also, get this - I have never even seen a Terminator movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

See now, Christian had me at hello in American Psycho. Sorry Kate. :p I LOVED the book & the movie captured the message pretty well. Believe it or not, the movie was a VERY toned down version of the book.

Friday the 13th! I love scream flicks! :)

Clarissa, at least see T2! Linda H was such a role model for us 80s gals! I think it was the first scene of the movie where they showed her doing like a total body routine in her tiny room in a mental institution. Way cool!

I dunno...if there can be a governor with "lego man" hair walking like he's king of his fantasy world, I think one wandering around beating the crap outta bad guys might be an improvement:p.

Ouch Carrie! LMAO! There you go making fun of one of the few Republicans I actually like. ;) Poor old dude is just trying to stay young!

Actually his wife still looks gorgeous. I wish I knew her secrets.

Oh wait, I do know--she's a flippin millionaire.

LauraMax, I'm with you - I liked Bale in American Psycho. Living in NY and working on Wall Street, the opening scenes cracked me up, because some of the men here are TOTALLY like that!! Let's hope they don't all run around with chainsaws in their free-time.
As for Maria S., she looks like Eunice and when you see her close up, she's starting to show her age. Just wait another few years - you'll see. It'll even out. Although I do like her, so.....
I also liked Michael Keaton in Batman. Although I haven't seen one since then, so.....

Right? And it captured the '80s shallowness & decadence perfectly.

Re. Batman: OK Keaton was good, but how on earth could anyone but George Clooney be the best Batman EVER?

Guess what....I got to meet Christian Bale last year :D He was doing research for a movie. It's kind of funny, if you passed him on the street you may not recognize him. He was dressed down, his hair was kind of tousled, he had a bit of stubble, and he was a lot thinner than he looks in the movies.

He didn't walk around like some dashing movie star, he was just there as a regular guy. He was very polite, down-to-earth and interested in learning about the work. His accent was pretty nice ;) I had only heard him in Batman and American Psycho, so to hear that (Welsh?) accent took a second to get used to. Of course, we weren't allowed to ask him any questions or gush about how much we loved him though!!

Christian Bale is one of the actors on my "will see whatever they do" list. I think he's an excellent actor, and very versatile (and a hunk at times: like when he's not in "The Machinist"!).

OMG OMG! You know, I've actually heard pretty nice things about him from the non-TMZ-ish reporters. Like, he's a very private person & takes his work very seriously--like in the Machinist, when I believe he starved himself to emaciation for the part.

Anyway, I wouldn't kick him off my, ummm, porch. :p
