Good job on Disc 4. I see you are finding it necessary to drop down in weight with some exercises. That was where I was getting frustrated but the more I read other posts, the more I find just about everyone else is expereincing the same thing. I'm not going to let it get me down anymore.

Yesterday, when I did Disc 24, my workout card listed 45# for pullovers. I had to use a BB since 40's are my highest DB's. It was such a struggle that I dropped down to a 40# DB which was more manageable but still tough.

I forgot to mention that I did 12 pullups, 12 chinups then 8 more pullups using the medium band.:) Once my shoulder feels better, I'm going to start using the light band. I peeked ahead at my first w/o with meso 3 and there are no chins/pulls. I will have to add them in somewhere.

Nice job Judi!! It's odd that Cathe left chins/pulls out completely in Meso 3. Now are you doing plyo legs or the squat rack leg? Thanks for blazing the trail for me :D

It's a bit frustrating, but I think it's helped me knowing that others are doing it too. I hit failure on my pushups at one time. No warning to drop to the knees, just a face plant to the floor LOL

I'm planning to do the squat rack legs but itching to try out the plyo legs too! OH...so many choices and so little time.

Continuting with the Tabata Training and today was Chest. Had a great workout!

Did Imax 2 throught the first Blast as a 10 minute warmup.

8 sets - 20 seconds on/10 seconds off each exercise.

Ran during 2 minute rest between each exercise.


CHEST
Pushups
BW - 8 sets/12-10 reps 4 Toes/4 knees

Bench press
42#'s - 8 sets/12-9 reps
***Just realized I did this wrong - was suppose to be on an incline.Oops! Oh well, still burned!

Dumbbell Press:
20's - 8 sets/12-9 reps

Flat Dumbbell Flyes:
16's - 8 sets/9-8 reps


Then finished with Combos 1 & 2, and stretch from Amy's Advanced Step Challenge 1.

Workout was 1:01 and burned 495 calories. Hate it when I end up like 5 calories short of 500.:confused:

Lost 1 pound!:D:D:D
 
Disc 6 was on tap for tonight. Upping the weights on some exercises just wasn't gonna happen :confused: Some I was able to go up on, some I shouldn't have LOL. The stability ball squats with the wts was one that I shouldn't have. I went up to 14.5 pound dbs and my form was really bad a the end. Did I mention that I hate endurance -Especially LEGS!!!

I went to the funeral home this evening :( A freinds daughter was killed over the weekend in an auto accident. I just don't know how you get over something like that :(:( She was 26 and had a 2 year old son who "misses his mommy"
 
OMG Catherine- I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's daughter. How tragic and leaving behind a young son too. Why do these horrible things happen:( How is your friend doing?

I'll say a prayer for the family.

Today was Triceps & Biceps. Went heavier with somethings and had a great workout.

IMAX 2 through first Blast as 10 minute warmup.

8 sets - 20 seconds on/10 seconds off each exercise.

Ran during 2 minute rest between each exercise.


TRICEPS
Lying Barbell Ext:
36# - 8 sets/11-8 reps
***Only up 1# here.

Bench Dips:
BW - 8 sets/17-12 reps
**Managed to stay in the air the whole time this time also increased the number of reps.

Overhead DB Ext:
20# - 8 sets/14-10 reps
***last week I dropped to 15# for last 4 sets, kept the 20 this time.

BICEPS
Standing BB Curls:
37# = 8 sets/9-7 reps
***Up 2#.

Incline DB Curls:
20's - 4 sets/9-5 reps
15's - 4 sets/9-7
***Duh, two 20's is heavier than what I was using for BB Curls, no wonder I could do it.

Hammer Curls:
15's - 8 sets/10-7
***Up 3#, used 12's last week.


Got up late, so finished with stretch from IMAX2. Workout was 1 hour and burned 477 calories.
 
Today was a rest day for me. I will be doing disc 5 tomorrow. It looks like I'm gonna have to back off on anything with impact at all. Crazy enough my MRI didn't show anything. The doc was as surprised as I was. She still thinks it's a neuroma and so do I. I've had it for over 2 years and it flares from time to time. It acts just like a neuroma and responded initially to conservative treatement. Anyway surgery is the next option. So I am conflicted. Do I do surgery on my foot even though the MRI doesn't show an inflammed nerve (MRIs aren't perfect). My podiatrist is 35 weeks pregnant and couldn't do surgery anyway. So I am seeing her partner on Thurs to discuss surgery and sort of get a second opinon. Mean time I'll stick with wts only :confused: Sorry to be so lengthy. I am just not in a very good mood :(
 
Catherine - I feel your pain. I don't know how you are managing having to limit your workouts so much for so long.


Aaahhh, would have been so easy to stay in bed this morning. I was so tired and I had no idea what I wanted to do for cardio.

Got up anyway and settled on a mix of KP & C Cardio Drills & the Kick & Punch Combos from Kick Max, then Tabata Ab Work and finish with the stretch from Kick Max. Workout was 1:07 and burned 560 calories.

Hanging Leg/Knee Raises

Ab Curl Down
15# Resistance Tube - 8 sets - 17/14 reps
***Not sure I will feel this one, may need to go heavier.
 
I need to be slapped upside my head!!:eek: I made the mistake of doing KPC this morning and now my shoulder is aching again and it hurts to pull a t- shirt on/off. Good thing I have a massage scheduled tommorrow but if I got some tendonitis going on, I may have to take off another week before starting meso 3. This sucks!

Linda- We both had kick boxing on the brain this morning. I haven't done KM in a very long time...I really didn't care for it. Maybe I should give it another try. I just ordered Amy Bento's In the Ring from deep discount for $12 and its on the way here. I really like that one.

Catherine- OH, I feel for ya! It sucks when you can't work out like you want to. That is weird nothing showed up on the MRI. Is surgery the last option for a neuroma? That is a tough choice. Would surgery guarantee a cure or could it come back? This is such a bummer...hang in there!
 
Disc 5 is done. So I am officially done with week 2 of Meso 1(because I did disc 6 the other night):D I still have leg doms from disc 6 :eek: Now I am not sure where to go from here. I am sure that I can do the upper body stuff, and I think i can do the lower body with the foot. I guess I will see what the doc has to say tomorrow. Surgery is the last resort, but I've done everything else. If I go that route it should help, but it's no guarantee.

Linda, I hear ya about wanting to stay in bed this morning! Do you have a multi-disc dvd player?

Judi, sorry to hear about your shoulder :( I understand your frustration, but take that week if you need it. You won't regret it!!

- Sorry to hear the KPC left your shoulder aching. I did it with my weighted gloves on. I don't think of KM either, that's why I haven't done it in forever. And I can say after doing the Kick & Punch Combos they weren't that much fun, so next time I might combine KPC with 4 DS KB and see what happens. Yeah on getting ITR, that's a good one. Considered that one this morning but wasn't up to all the twists and turns.:p

***Up 2 #

Barbell Shoulder Shrugs:
50#- 8 sets/17-14 reps
***Up 5#

Then finished with Combos & Blasts 2,3, & 4 and Stretch from IMAX 2. When I was done, before I stopped my HRM I checked it and what did it say....but 495 calories of course, so I jog around until I hit 500. So workout total was 1:04 and 501 :D:p:D:p calories burned.
