Chin-Up Check-In Tue, 8.8

I really do splurge with my eating. So I don't think I overthink too much. But I definately hear ya Soooooooooooosan!! I know when to tweak my eating a bit and I really need it right now. Summer time is hard on me LOL!! But I enjoy every minute of it!

When is Mel coming back??? I bet she doesn't. She'll probably stay!!

I'm cracking up....I can say that about beer because I can't even stand the smell of it. Makes it easy to avoid eh!!!

I AM lo carbing because I can't believe how much my stomach swells when I don't. Actually....I feel better all over when I lo carb so for me it's more of an "I feel better" diet. I am one of those carb sensitive individuals. My mind gets all "cluttered" so to speak when I eat carbs in any amount (other than salads/veggies - those are fine - but breads are a downer for me - even whole grain). Donuts are a once in a while thing and I usually stick to those french crueller things as they are eggier and less "bready". (yes kathryn, egg has been in my diet lately, I am a VERY loose vegan - an enlightened vegan so to speak (that was a joke)). :p :p .

Speaking of which...I just found a french krueller recipe that I'm going to try today subbing in stevia for sugar. I'll let ya know how they turn out. The head of the Lacrosse Allergy Clinic goes to my church and said I may be more carb sensitive than allergic to many foods and the way to find this out is to see how I react when I drink alcohol as this can really throw a carb sensitive person into a major attack. Thought this was interesting. Any of you guys carb sensitive??

Briee (obviously Catherine is NOT }( }( }( or else those beer would have killed her :p :p :p )

Briee-Not carb sensitive here. Those french krueller's sound good!

Sooosan-I'm with you. Everything in moderation. And, I don't eat it if I don't like it for example deep fried food. Plus, it doesn't agree with me. I looooove ice cream. That one is hard for me to eat in moderation.

Catherine-yes, it sounds like you had fun the other night. The only beer I really like is Summit and I am like you where I usually only have one because it makes me really full.

I ran my second 5K race on Saturday with DD. Then DH and I rode our bike up to Hinckley (about 65 miles) and stayed over night. We were suppose to ride home but it was really raining so DD picked us up. We took the easy way out.

Tomorrow, I have to work on those chins.
