Morning cheetahs
Rainy and cool out today. Also having some persistant lower GI issues since the day before which are dragging me down a tad so I think I'll opt for a rest day
Haven't had one for a while so I'm due! It's hard to take a rest day for me when I'm not working. Usually I rest in between 12 hr work shifts. It's hard to fit in a workout anyway. Well, maybe I'll just do some core work and stretching;-) Anway, I did get in a good amount of yard work yesterday! Today I go for the last pre job requirement, my ppd (TB skin test) Being a nurse I get these every year, sometimes more. When I live in Fla I got it twice a year. I don't want to think about how many of these things I've had in my lifetime!!
Christine- ITA with your current view/experiment re: the HRM. I think the numbers these things give you can be quite inaccurate and too many people get quite hung up trying to reach that golden number. Use your instincts, listen to your body rather then a gadget is what I say.
Carole- Most of my yard work will just be general clean up. The problem with planting is that I won't be here soon to follow up and take care of it. DH will likely ignore everything except his boat (lol) Are your legs talking to you today after the pyramid/plyoX workout? Did you get the X+ workouts? LOL about the potato bugs... they are ugly!
Jackie- Gonna start running again soon? I remember that monster series of races you accomplished last year!! Gonna be doing any this year?
Tammy- Glad to hear all your pulmonary function tests went very well. Interesting that your doc feels it may be from your BP meds. That certainly is possible and I forgot to ask you if you were taking any meds. I sure hope that this clears it up for you. Please let us know if it is making any difference for you.
Gloria- crossing fingers/toes/paws for you today that you will win the NYC marathon lottery!!!!
Wendi- Well, I'm not as tough a cheetah as you think I guess... the wind was kicking up yesterday afternoon so I wussed out and elected to do KM indoors instead! I agree with you about running hills, in some ways it is easier I suppose. Just LOVE the downhill part! The St. George, Utah marathon is one of the most difficult to get into because it is mostly downhill! I'm with you on the TV... I'm usually way too tired at night, all I want to do is read some (to relax me) and sleep! Hope you get in a nice although wet run today!
Cathy- The only way the humidity is "bothering" me is that I sweat ALOT more!! But I feel great.... much better then when I was in Az in fact. Poor cheetah... a long evening and then your sleep broken up by those boorish teens!! Gettin the same rain here, not to conducive to outdoor stuff!
Judy- Happy Bday to your DS!! So what are you cookin up for him? Already at the end of stage 2 of NROL? How many stages are there? Seeing any results?
Wendy- Wow, your legs are really taking a hit there! You definitely can overtrain any part of your body--- you may want to think about giving your gams a break!
Doreen, don't be a stranger... come into the cheetah den and chat anytime!
I think that about catches me up. Hi to all who follow and hope everyone has a fantastic day!
