Good morning, everyone~~~ :) :) :)

Just getting us started with the RIGHT day of the week. :7

Be back shortly with personals.

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Wendi :: See, if we were going by MY calendar, your insane Wednesday would be over already. :7 What a group we make, huh? Don't know what day of the week it is, can't find the thread, and don't remember our own birthdays! *lol* Mmmm, your b'day dessert sounds delish. And that's true, b'day calories don't count! :)...I saw HK last night and did not realize I'd missed the entire season. Drat. I like Gordon. Did he have some serious raccoon face or what?...My DVD player is OK, it's the DVD itself that's curiously missing.

Jackie :: No, I wasn't kidding 'bout the eye exam. :) Shred for only 8 bucks is a steal. Glad you like it. No workouts or gear for me before September now. We have a new insurance provider, and in looking through the literature, I found I might be entitled to $100 reimbursement now on top of the vision plan (which didn't change). That would be nice.

Posh :: Aw, thanks! :) I hope so, too. Not real crazy about the idea of slice & dice of the eyeball...How was the gym last night with the all the kidlets?

Gloria :: I finally figured out how to manually disconnect the iPod, but it still did not transfer all the songs. ??? Too bad we're not in school, or I could just have one of the kids do it for me. Probably in about 10 seconds. *lol*...I've only ever worked for the state, and though benefits in general are good, the vision plan -- usually not as much. I mean, it's not BAD, but you usually wind up having to pay a bit. They pay $100 toward glasses OR contacts every two years. So, that doesn't get you very far if you're a disposable contact lens wearer, but hey, at least it's somethin'. In terms of the surgery, I think it should be 100% covered after the co-pay, but I am going to call today to confirm that and cover all my bases. I guess it would be good to get this done before school starts...So, hat is it about Grace that bothers you? Enjoy this morning's walk.

Today will be Ba & Bi, kickboxing, and abs.

Have a great WEDNESDAY! :7

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Good morning ladies!

Well, I overslept by about 30 min...just long enough that I couldn't squeak a workout in x( x(, ugh!!! I guess I'll ride a bunch of extra horses to try to make up for it. There will be no getting it in later :(. I actually have to be to an admissions seminar this evening and it's going to be rush, rush, rush all day at work to finish up in time.

Oh, so I went up to 10#s during the endless ME chest flys...wowzas do I have some *serious* DOMS this morning }(. Oh yeah, stalls are going to be a blast today lol!

Oh, got a silly question. I have had the most intense craving for beans for the past two weeks...any kind, black, kidney, baked, etc. Anybody have any idea why??? I've looked at their nutritional profile to see if I'm lacking something in my diet and I'm more than covered in that area. *Shrugs*

Jackie - Alright, hit me then. I deserve it :p. And make it a good whack. HK was okay...I thought it was a toss up between the two finalists. Either one could have won it. We're in the same boat with lack of rain...doing the rain dance for ya!

Posh - Ewwwww...is it supposed to cool off soon? How was your red eye trip to the gym last night? If I tired to workout that late I'd be up all night lol. Uh, BTW, "old fat lady"...I think NOT!!!

Gloria - I never thought about elk and antelope being that popular but I can see how that would be the case. I just think they're too cute...go ahead and laugh at me :+. Sorry CC8 wasn't quite to your liking...haven't tried it yet as I don't have access to a DM. Hope you had a nice walk! Please get your car in for service PRONTO! I hate to see you sitting on the side of the road like that :(.

Cathy - LMAO...I gueass we are *quite* the group :+ :7!!! I love your logic regarding today being over. Can we just fast forward to next Monday???? This season of HK was alright...nothing too special. LOL about the raccoon eyes, I noticed that. I thought it was a toss up who was going to win. I can see why he went with the younger (prettier ;)) talent but I felt bad for Petrozza...seems like a sweet guy. Ahhhh, KM grew legs and walked away, did it? It's been doing too many of its own leg drills :D.

Ohhhhhh, Shelly...I hope everything is going well and DSis and BIL continue to stay safe.

That's about all I have time for right now. I may see you guys later tonight. Happy hump day!

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Wendi :: maybe it's just as well you overslept. Sounds like you have a full day ahead, so better not to run yourself ragged. Esp. not with those killer DOMS you've got to contend with!...Though I only saw last night's episode, I did think both chefs seemed about equal. They handled the kitchen pressure well. Comical to me how each team always has some deadweight completely inept misfit on it. But Gordon does favor the young lasses, doesn't he? :)...Yeah, KM is still MIA. :p :) I'm wondering if I loaned it out...Re: the beans, I used to crave skim milk after runs (it became and still is my post-run bevvie of choice)...I think if the craving is a healthy one, might as well just give the body what it needs. That's my very un-scientific theory. :7...Have been thinking of Shelly & her family, too. Hope she's just busy with the new house stuff.

Gloria :: forgot to say, I hope you get your car fixed right quick!

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Good Morning Girls.

Okay, say I've been mad that almost every time I do a kb work out I get l/b doms and never anything in the u/b. Well folks, I *FINALLY* managed to get myself some u/b doms and WHOA NELLY! Hurts so good!}( LOL

Today will be a rest day. I am overdue and it will work out well for me not to have to exercise today. Please remind me that I said this if I try to tell y'all later that I am planning on working out after all. :p

Gloria: My mom just saw Bucket List as well and liked it. I had wanted to see it when it first came out but was told it wasn't that great so I nixxed it. That's it now though, if both you and my mom liked it then I'm renting it ASAP! I love Morgan Freeman and like Jack Nicholson as well. I love Morning Star products. Yummy!:9

Cathy: LMAO over you getting the day wrong. We ARE quite the group, ey? :p :7 It will probably take me until my next trip to A/C to consider trying a CC outdoors so if you do it before me, let me know how it is. :7 I have volumes 3-8. I plan to get Press Play as well. I haven't done all of the work outs yet but I really like the ones I have done so far. I hope you enjoy them. Sorry about the high cost of the new glasses. I am familiar with the expense as my mom has worn glasses all of my life and has been wearing prescription sunglasses for several years as well. She complains about the cost every time she goes for new ones. No enabling for you. Be strong. You can do it!:)

Posh: Hey girl! Nice to see ya! Hope you got your work out in!

Wendi: OMG, your B'day dessert sounds *HEAVENLY*!!!:9 Sorry you overslept and missed your work out. I am going on the August road trip but won't be able to make the Friday morning step class I'm afraid. :-(

Jackie: Races definately help me to push my speed. Speaking of which, I have a 5 miler on saturday morning! It's supposed to be nice weather so perhaps I can PR!? }( Hope you get some rain soon!!

BBL~

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Good morning lovely cheetahs! Sorry I was MIA yesterday but it was a great day:7

Wendi- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!:+ :+ :+ Sorry it's a belated wish:( I hope it was a special one for you. You deserve it!

DH is with me now in Philly--- comforting to hear him snoring in the next room;) He arrived Mon. afternoon with Spanky (our pit bull)
She is a sweet goofball but very energetic and too much for his parents to handle with dogsitting. I cleared it with the apartment manager when I explained that even tho she is a "gasp" pit bull she is not the least bit aggressive towards people or other dogs. Anyway, dealing with high rise apartment buildings, elevators and busy cities is a very new experience for her and it's been amusing!
She's been so well behaved... sitting in the elevators calmly and smiling at everyone. It's amusing to watch people's reaction to her... so hesitant and afraid at first and then quite surprised when they see she really isn't a monster!

So, yesterday we were up early and out to Mercersburg, PA (a 2.5 hr trip) for the inspection of our new home. All went well, no deal busters, the only potential problem is with the septic system and that inspection is this morning. The current owner is very nice and loved taking us for a tour and explaining things. This place really is quite perfect for us and DH is in 7th heaven.

Here are some pics... I have Spanky in a couple of them.

The woods you see behind the house go WAY back... our property is 24 acres total.

I got in a good 4 mile run on the TM yest before leaving and got in most of Seasuns The Next Step when we got back.

I'll be back for some personals.

Shelly

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Hey Shelly!

WOW! Your property is GORGEOUS! Love the house from the outside. Can't wait to see the inside. We will need more pics once you are all moved in! :)

So how much more time do you have left in your Philly posh apartment? I gather with the house biz you are going to be quite busy for a while. Perhaps we should nix the GTG at your place that we spoke about. Let me know what you think.

I admit that pitbulls make me squeamish on sight but only because you must admit that more often then not, they are owned by the *WRONG* people. I believe it's the owners that make the difference with those dogs and I have no doubt that you and your hubby raised a sweetheart of a dog!:+

I hope the inspection of the septic system in the house does not create any unresolvable issues!

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Back again for some personals!

Cathy- I skimmed yesterday's posts and you had me quite amused!! A tad discombobulated lately? Sorry about the eye situation... not nice to be having to face some eye surgery but it will be great to finally have it corrected. When is the surgery?

Wendi- another crazy busy day for you! Good luck dealing with it all with those pec DOMS!!

Gloria- Good morning to ya! Sorry you are having car troubles again... what a pain!! What's in store for you today?

Wendy- Wow... I'm jealous about your UB DOMS w/ KB.... never managed that! Is that sick or what.... jealous over someone elses pain????? Wow... another race coming up?? I had originally planned on racing in Gettysburg this Sat but my work schedule changed and it's too far to go for just a 5k anyway... next year!

Carole- When I picture N. Calif where you are I see tall redwoods and can't imagine it being so HOT!! Those are temps more like Phoenix Az!! Hope you are staying cool!

Christine- I have to tell ya... the owner of the house we are buying has an Aussie (blue merle) But I felt so sorry for her. He is the type that keeps his house meticulously clean. The poor dog spends most of her time out in a backyard kennel (about 10x10) and indoors in a cage also. She obviously was overly frustrated and anxious and made Spanky nervous! Hope you're feeling well today!

Jackie- Hiya! What's in store for you today?

My sister in Pakistan e-mailed me... things have improved there:)
She'll be visiting her daughter in Maryland in August so we'll be scheduling a GTG.

That's it for now folks! I'll be doing DM today and working on our loan application. Later will be KCM's Cardiokickboxing.

Shelly

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Wendy- Thanks re: compliments on the house. Actually, once I get the loan paperwork out of the way things should calm down quite a bit. I'll be here in Philly until my contract ends Sept 13th. There will be plenty of opportunity for a GTG and I look forward to it!

Even if there is a problem with the septic we will work it out somehow!!!

Shelly

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Shelly :: So glad to hear your DSis is OK...What a wonderfully, spacious property! Looks like Spanky's already lovin' it. I hope all goes well with today's inspection...A tad discombobulated, yes. http://www.customtacos.com/forum/images/smilies/new/silly.gif *lol* Chalk it up to summer mode. The ol' noggin's on vaca. :7

Wendy :: *lol* Since you said you only read the first word of the thread, the question is did you even NOTICE it? ;) :7 I tend to save the iTrains and such for indoor workouts. When I'm outside, I just want my music. But we'll see. You may well break yours in before I do...I did gasp at the final total, but I know I'll have to dish out annually...it is what it is and I don't get sour about it. :)...Sticking to budget won't be an issue actually. There hasn't been much temptation.

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Good Morning Ladies!!

Cathy – I’m sorry to hear about the $$ you had to shell out! But it’s money well spent. Sorry you are dealing with such thing, though. That’s rough. Can you see with contacts at all? I’m with you on laser surgery – it totally freaks me out, although if the choice were glasses or surgery, I’d have to think long and hard about it. Too bad about the massage – maybe I’ll get you one as a congrats gift when you finish the marathon! :p You have me laughing with the “What a group” comment to Wendi – so true! Have fun with your workout! Sounds like a goody! I actually like back work with kickboxing!

Wendi – Oh Jimmy looks very handsome. Best haircut he’s had ever. He has on Bermuda shorts now - not quite long enough to be capri’s, but too long for shorts. :p Oh I’m sorry you missed your workout! And to have a rush-rush day on top of it! But the admissions seminar should be worth it! Oh man, mucking stalling with pec DOMS? Ouch!!! Beans? I sometimes crave weird things too. At least beans are healthy. :p

Wendy – I don’t know why they shaved Kimo when we did not request it. DH was stupid and just paid the bill. I’d have pitched a fit. She looks horrible!! Fortunately, Jimmy got a much better cut. Oh, good – you managed Upper Body DOMS with kbs? Good for you! Which KB workout did you do to get DOMS? Enjoy your rest day! I’m doing the bells tomorrow! Looking forward to them.

Shelly – oh the photos of your house bring back memories – good ones! I love central PA. It’s a very, very nice place! The house is cute, the land is gorgeous! I think you and DH will be happy there. I’m happy to hear that Spanky is being an excellent ambassador for pits everywhere. You should be proud of her. She sounds like a really great dog (almost as great as Jimmy :+). I know more pits who are sweet than bad – and fortunately, those are easy to tell – I love pitty smiles. Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about that poor Aussie. They are such people dogs and do not do well separated from their people. They NEED to be in the house. Poor thing. They’re so smart and loving – it’s almost like locking up a child. It’s horrible. Any dog does better in the house – they’re pack animals. Okay, I’ll stop! :+

Gloria – I’m looking forward to your race report as well! I was good yesterday with food, too. I have to put my food for the day into Weight Watchers this morning. I’m taking DD15 out to lunch, but I’ll go for a salad. :p I marinade everything 24 hours at least – I think it takes that long for flavor to really seep in.

Thomasina – Good to hear from you! Yeah, Jimdog is spoiled – he’s such a good boy, though, that I feel it’s so worth it. :p Hope you stay cool today. I’m watching the sun rise in the haze – the sky is an eerie purple/gray color. Ick.

Jackie – We need rain here, too, but that probably won’t happen for a while. It’s bad here. I am feeling much better thank you! It’s so nice to be able to really workout again.

Jimmy looks really cute. The girl did such a good job on him. She said he was so sweet. That was obviously nervous, but he tried so hard to be a good boy. Is it any wonder that I spoil him so? :p He’ll head into the office with me this morning. I’m taking DD15 to lunch so I’ll drop him off then. I want to show off his new do. I don’t know what I’m going to do without DD15 – she’ll be gone 10 days. I’m going to miss her! She heads out on Saturday. I’m tired today. I’m thinking I’ll do some yoga this morning. That sounds like a good plan. Okay – I have an off topic mini rant. We have a guy here in the Bay Area who was convicted of killing his wife – her body was never found, but the evidence was overwhelming. So now, about 2 months after the conviction, he lead authorities to her body – and his reward? He’s convicted of the lesser charge of 2nd degree murder – this asshole will be out of jail in 15 years – earlier on parole! The jury members are furious. I’m furious! He should be locked away forever. Now he’ll be out to abuse other women and children. Okay, sorry for the rant…

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Christine :: that is an outrage about the murderer. If the jury convicted him and he was sentenced, how can it be later changed? Stuff like that makes you question the system. Well, perhaps the justice system behind bars will deliver him his due...I'm smiling about Jimmy. Would love to see a pic...I think I missed where DD15 is going?...Definitely $$ spent on necessity, so no gripes here. Seeing is important. :) I have considered LASIK before and had the consult done, but I couldn't get the surgery at the time b/c of the Accutane treatment I was on...Then this past year, I was so wrapped up in NB stuff, I didn't have time to think about it again. This surgery won't correct my nearsightedness; it would be surgery on the muscles of the eyes to stop the "cross eye" from happening. So in other words, even if I'd had LASIK, it would not fix this. I can see with contacts. It's just that, without the aid of the prisms which are in my glasses, I have to work hard using my eye muscles to prevent the double vision. For a time, the Vision Therapy was quite successful. I would get the doubles mainly when tired. But I've noticed lately, I'm getting the doubles more and more. Occasionally even with my glasses. So my doc thinks surgery is the best option at this point.

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I have never heard of Lucky Number Slevin. Hey I think 87 would be a cold front for us!! We are heading for about 116 today. Did you ever find your KM DVD? WOW...that was some costly eye exam!! I could hear Foreigner you mentioned your double vision problem. When will you have to have surgery? You won't believe this, I never noticed yesterdays thread was the wrong day!!!.:D...:D

Lorie...LOL about the red dust!! Love the pic's. Thos kids are so darn cute. Nice to see you and the family all together.

Wendi...no yardwork yesterday as I had to go to work. Good job with the Viper and HSC abs!

Gloria..I have never tried Odwalla smoothies. I make a smoothie every day for breakfast though. Sorry about the car issues.

Shelly...LOVE your new place!!! 24 acres??!! That is so cool. Spanky seems to be having a great time! Can you just get the septic pumped or is there another issue? Not many tall redwoods here. Mostly pine and oak but we do have a lot of trees. This just a nasty heat wave and I hope it is gone soon. I am so glad things have improved for your sister.

Jackie...thanks for the 30 Day Shred info. Jillian seems to be doing well. I am trying my best to stay cool, hoping by friday the temps should go down somewhat.

Christine..I do think I sweat a bit more inside when the temps out are high! Sweating is good for you though, right??...:D...Today should be a killer...116. Great workout for you yesterday. Tapering would be good now! I bet Jimmy looks cute in his new do. Where is your DD15 going? I saw about that guy who murdered his wife last night on TV. I cannot believe they lessened his sentence! I am sure though, his wife's family is relieved to finally have her body to bury properly. You are right, he should be locked up forever.

Wendy...I did see that thread on the O/F. Some of our fires blew up yesterday due to the wind. More were being evacuated. We are not real super close to any right now and I hope no idiot decides to mow his weeds in the afternoon!

Posh...I have no idea who turned up the blasted furnace!! I am so lucky the smoke has not bothered me. It seems our air quality was getting better, but some of the fires got worse due to the weather conditions yesterday so I don't know now. Enjoy your massage!!

Well some of the fires kicked up yesterday due to the heat and wind. So some more smoke in the air and more evacuations. Nothing real close to us. I am not looking forward to the hot day at all...

I am doing Total Body X+ the other half of Abs/core and a 3-4 mile run

Have a great day...:)

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

LOL...love the thread title!

last night i downloaded cc1 revised, cc2 revised, and cc8. i am going to attempt cc8 on the ext but have to admit i am a leetle skeered since everyone has said it's really hard and has a lot of hills. i can sprint until the cows come home, but hills can sometimes get me, especially on the tm. at least i will be on the ext! i have to admit to being a totaal grace fan (she just doesn't bother me like she does most people) and i think iTreads are easier to do than cc's on the tm. i really like the cc's for the ext.

christine-of course i am biased and think they are the two most beautiful children in the world. kinda makes me think i don't even want to try because i could never have such a beautiful child. also, i love asian-mixed children. i just think they are so gorgeous! have mercy on you for doing that workout! ;-) your marinade sounds yummy!

wendy-my thoughts EXACTLY!!! calories and fat consumed on vacay is part of an activity, thus the calories don't count. ;-) you are SOOOOOO right about the OWNERS of pit bulls and NOT the breed. in the 1950's, they were the most popular breed in america because of their loyalty and goodness. spanky from "the little rascals" was a pit bull! i love the breed and think they are beautiful with their permanent smiles!

gloria-i am biased, most definitely!!! i am a brown rice lover as well. i prefer it over white rice and always have. i just think it tastes so much better and has a much better texture.

wt-lol about the "right" day! we didn't choose an all-inclusive because we didn't want to be tied to one place. we are staying at the westin aruba. it's supposed to be pretty close to everything and the beach is RIGHT THERE! also, they are supposed to have a good gym and part of relaxing for me is working out, so i plan on doing a lot of working out, playing on the beach, and, of course, shopping! wtf about having eye surgery??? i didn't know you had a double vision (can't help but think of foreigner) thing going on. did they say why?

posh-dean loved bonaire for the diving (he has dove in over 40 countries) but we promised we would go somewhere neither of us had been. i have heard aruba can get pretty windy because of the desert atmosphere but that the beaches are beautiful. since you've been (and you are posh), is there any good shopping to do there? i was also told to do the jeep tour of the island because it is a lot of fun.

wendi-did you have a good birthday? i didn't realize i was running that fast but i was also REALLY pushing myself (probably too hard) and didn't take the ONE walk break she suggested and my hr stayed pretty darn high. i think i just wanted to see if i could do it after not working our for so long. i doubt i will do those speeds again. i am not really into being fast, just git er done!

jackie-thanks for the compliemnts. he IS a big boy. i hope (for his parents' sake) he evens out at some point or he will be wearing 5 year old clothes at 1 year old and be very heavy!!! we went walking and i carried him for about a mile, and, let me tell you, i didn't need to do any upper body that day!!! ;-)

shelly-i love your little spanky! he is so cute. i still can not get over how much land you have. how wonderful it will be to run and know it is ALL YOURS! IMO, the owner of your house should NOT own a dog if that's how he treats it! dogs are pack animals and want to be with their "pack" (humans). i have an aussie and i can't imagine leaving her (or ANY of my babies) in a little pen!!! that makes me so sad... :(

carole-yes, the red "dust" is a pain, no doubt! it also stinks when you want to plant anything because you have to dig up the red clay and replace it with soil. sorry the fires are kicking up. i can't even IMAGINE what 116 feels like! i think i would be permanently inside with the a/c!

okay, gotta motivate to do this cc. planning on going to the pool and swimming some laps after if there is time. i love swimming!

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Good morning Cheetahs!

Posh - Thanks for the thumbs up to the USPS. Anything for a Frank fan! LOL!! How did the gym workout go last night? You were out late getting your workout on. :)

Cathy - Laughing at your title this morning. :) Didn't even notice yesterday's until it was pointed out. Must have been too much holiday or something. Sure was hoping it was Wednesday though. We just got dental and vision insurance last year for the first time. I can get almost everything covered now except for things like scratch resistance, tint and those little extras. I go to the dentist twice a year and I'll have my eyes examined every year now. Don't blame you about being leery about the surgery. I'm still afraid of lasik. Went to Wally World and they had this cute little running top on sale for $3. I picked it up and contemplated buying. Then I stuck to my hiatus of not buying any clothes for the rest of the year. It was hard too. Boo hoo! Haven't bought anything all year except for using a gift card I got for taking a Christmas gift back. I'll see how long it lasts.

Wendi - Did you feel that whack? :p Riding the horses should more than make up for your oversleeping. You will get that run in eventually. I have faith in you. When will school start for you? Know you must be excited. Thanks for the rain dance. It looked cloudy. Thought I would bring my umbrella in and the rain would pour but the sun is shining now.

Wendy - Yay for the UB DOMS finally arriving. Remember, this is a rest day for you. Enjoy it! I didn't want to see Bucket List at the movies. I like Morgan and Jack too. If the Cheetahs like it, it must be pretty good. You can get that PR for the 5 miles Saturday. What time do you need to beat?

Shelly - Glad you have DH there with you. Love the pics of your new home and land. Lot of acreage. How much of that do you have to mow? Lots of room to have a good run too. Hope all goes well with the septic system. I have one of those. Spanky sounds like a good dog. I'm not a pet owner but I hate seeing animals caged up. Glad to hear things have improved for sis and BIL.

Christine - Bet that Jimmy is being a ham with his new haircut. How terrible about the guy killing his wife and getting less time. That's no justice. They need to hang a sign around his neck when he's released.

Carole - I have Cardio Kickboxing by Jillian too. I wasn't crazy about it for some reason. Maybe it was the way she talked or held her mouth. :) But, it was free and it will probably work well with Shred. Hope that cold front moves in. We're supposed to be getting one today and it's supposed to bring rain. I haven't seen the rain yet. Enjoy Total Body+ and your run. Sadie been finding any more skunks?

Lorie - Grace doesn't bother me either. As I always say, I work harder for her. I use CC when I don't want to push myself and I keep the pace pretty easy. DBF and I like to go places we've never been too. He's a diver and I'm an observer. :7 I go mostly for the pampering. Funny on not needing UB work after carrying nephew. LOL! Enjoy CC and swimming.

Today's workout was PUB/PLB combo. I left out a set of the leg presses and the last round of deadlifts and added some core work. Had to keep the workout under an hour to get to work on time. I ate a tablespoon of PB along with my snack last night to see if it would help with the hunger. Not! I woke up at 2:30 and my tummy was roaring. I didn't get up to feed it though. I'm sure I'm eating enough during the day or at least I thought I was. Will see how today goes.

Happy Hump Day!

Jackie

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Cathy – Thank you – I’m definitely outraged as well at the whole murder trial thing. Ahh, that make sense about your eyes. That has to be tough! Is the surgery covered by your insurance? Double vision has to be very challenging to deal with!

Carole – Hope you stay cool today – OUCH! 116! It’s so hot and dry. We just need to get these wildfires under control. I’m glad there is nothing close to you – but it’s not fun. I think the entire state will be evacuated soon. Sounds like a good workout you have planned. I’ll start my tapering tomorrow. :p I’ll do a light workout and some yoga, then Friday a light spin and probably more yoga. Saturday is off – I don’t know what I’ll do with so much free time Saturday! :p

Lorie – Yes mixed kids are adorable. I’m sure, though, that your babies will be as cute. :p I’m going to work from home this afternoon – have to keep the dogs inside and out of the heat – I might hang in the pool a bit – it’s too hot for anything else.

Jackie - You’re doing very well with your not-buying spree! I’m impressed!! Jimmy is hanging out with me today at the office – and loving the attention. Goofy boy. Oh you did two of my favs today! How fun! Hope you get the hunger issues figured out.

Ended up doing AOS Providence with a very light kettlebell. Had to modify some of the exercises, but it went well. I missed my bells a lot. I just have to be very careful with swings and things like that. DD15 is going with her boyfriend and his family to visit his aunt in Minnesota. DD15 is a big animal rescue, wildlife lover, and his aunt does wild life rescue and rehab, so DD15 will get to help. She’s all excited. I’m just going to miss the little “bugger”.

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Cathy: I laughed when you said that about the kids and technology. Even at fifth grade some seem to know more than me, which is kind of embarrasing. Now that I think about it, our vision insurance isn't that great either. I don't wear glasses or anything so I never really thought about it. Thank goodness we at least have some insurance. It is scary to think some don't have it. :-( That sounds like serious surgery. Do you think you will end up doing it this summer? How long does it take and how long is the recovery? I don't mind Grace, but the same thing gets old after awhile. I'm needing to mix it up a little right now. Enjoy your workout today! LOVE the discombobulated smiley.

Wendi: I think antelope are very neat looking animals with their furry butts and all. That is sweet of you to say that about me sitting on the side of the road. It wasn't too bad, it was a side road in the woods. There were at least 6 houses on it so I was all right. Found out the problem, so I am safe until something else comes along. LOL! :) I eat beans a lot too. I am not sure why you would be craving them. Hmmm. Good luck at the seminar tonight. Sorry you couldn't get the workout in. I am sure you will be burning MANY calories at work today though!

Wendy: I hope you like the movie, it is a goodie. IA about Morning Star. I haven't had anything I didn't like from them. Enjoy your rest today!

Shelly: How nice to have you back!!!!! :) :) I have been wondering where you have been. What a lovely place to call home!! Hope everything gets worked out with the septic. Too funny about Spanky. How old is she? You know you have missed someone when you find their snoring endearing. How sweet. :) Good news about your family.

Christine: I like to marinade at least over night usually too. The food turns out with better flavor and it's moist. This talk is making me hungry, for something healthy of course. You are doing well with the eating. When I think about eating something I have been thinking about you and have been good for the past few days. The deals these criminals get from the court system are disturbing. People amaze me. That is just sickening. I hope you enjoy your yoga today!!

Carole: 116! Wow. Good luck keeping cool today. I don't think I could tolerate an ice bath, but in those conditions I might consider it. :) The Odawalla smoothies are good. I only usually have them in the summer. They are a little pricey so I don't keep them stocked in the fridge. I have made smoothies before. Have a great work out today!

Lorie: I think I am just wanting to try something new. I do the Itreads a lot and have for the last year. She has given me great workouts, for sure. I think that asian-mix or any mix children are usually quite beautiful. I think brown rice is a lot more tasty than the white too. DH feels the same way. Enjoy the CC and your time in the pool.

Jackie: Sometimes I wake up in the morning starving, but I haven't been awaken in the night by it. I have PLB/PUB but I haven't done that combo. I have always thought about it. Enjoy your day!

I walked this morning and will run in a bit here. Had to nap a little since I am not used to getting up so early. I called my mechanic and he told me just to check the coolant. It was really low, so all I need to do is fill it. I think I will have DH do it when he gets home. I don't like messing with that stuff. I don't need to go anywhere anyway. I have been slacking on the house work so I will do some of that today too. Enjoy the day everyone.

:)

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

Hello!

I ran on the TM 6 miles in 57:30. I ran to just my new tunes. It was great. :) Talk with everyone later.

RE: ::: CHEETAHS ::: Wednesday (really this time!) *lol...

workout report...

i did cc8 on the ext then went to the pool and swam a mile. i didn't think cc8 was *that* difficult. i had the resistance on 9 or 10 and kept my rpm's at 38-40 for the challenges. my hr averaged 167, so i know i was working. it just didn't *feel* as difficult as when i do sprints. i really think i pushed myself and the music really helped to keep up with the pace but i wasn't dying.

had to run errands after. went to get a brazilian (sorry if tmi) and was told the hair was not long enough! grrrr! i really wanted one for aruba. oh well... picked up a bunch of odds and ends needed for trip (travel sizes and things) and got caught in a pretty vicious storm. home now and plan on staying in with the pups.

only two more sleeps until aruba!!!
