::::: CHEETAHS ::::: Wed., 3/14

Sunny - That is amazing that you might have to turn down clients. The people know a good PT when they meet one. Good luck with the personal training business with your sister. I bet you would be very successful. You already have so many clients. Would the business be home based?

Hey gals. I don't have time for personals right now...I have to hit the showers and try to get the house back in order...some how it looks like a tornado went through it! LOL DH is coming home tonight and I don't want him to know that I let the house go to pot while he was away. ;) :7 :p

Anywho, just signed on to say that I could not resist temptation and traded in my B&G plan for the weight section of BBC Butt and Legs today! WHOA! It didn't look like much when I previewed it but WOW, was I humbled! I was sweating and it was burning and it was AWESOME!}( }( }( They pack a real punch into a 30 min work out!

The production quality of this series is quite poor, especially in comparison to Cathe and the music stinks BUT I don't particularly care about the music (and I can turn it off next time!) and as long as I can see what I have to do I am fine. I got a good burn so I am happy with it!:)

I'll be back later for personals!:7

Gayle - it was shipped out on March 8, so hopefully FedEx will get it there today or tomorrow. Keep me informed, please, thank you! :) Oh, did you send me that rotation with running and the X? I didn't want to miss it.

OK - ladies - help me out here..............I can't possibly be going through the "womanly change" at 37, could I???? I know, TMI, but I was hoping there would be someone in this group that could ease my mind. :) Is there a website I could check out to read up on things??

Thanks, Marcia.

Quikie...

Marcia-the thank you gift arrived. How very sweet...and TASTY of you! lol. Not to mention relatively low in calories and fat (except for the Truffle Chocolate Brownie mix, lol). THANKS!!!! THANKS!!!! THANKS!!!!

Kristi-Yes, I'm a morning person! I like to get my workouts in then and it works best for my home life to do that. Once the kids are at the house, I'm just too distracted to get a workout in. The weather here is supposed turn sour tomorrow! Rain is moving in and it's supposed to pour BUCKETS and get COLD once again. Gotta love March!

Christine-I got your email and will check the list to see if anything strikes me. I'm not really looking for any videos, so it may just be a 'purchase' type thing if that's ok....but I'll look at the list, just in case! LOL

BBL....outside with the kiddos and they keep calling me!

Gayle

Christine - Glad you found the perfect workout for you today.

Susan - A nice long walk sounds so soothing. Hope you enjoyed it. I think we forget that our body sometimes need some nice easy days. We all need a break sometimes.

Kristi - Do you think maybe we slow down on the treadmill because we can sse the numbers? I think I run a little faster outside too.

Linda - Nice workout! Glad dd enjoys HHA.

Sunny - That's great that you have to turn down clients. That's an indication that you're good at what you do. You go girl!! I haven't belonged to a gym since 2003. The 30 minute drive got next to me so I gave it up. I did love going though. We have a Y here but I much prefer working out in the comfort of my home at anytime I please.

Wendy - Glad you enjoyed BBC. Lot of people like that dark look of the gym setting.

Marcia - My change started in my 40's. By 48, I had it all pulled out and feel so much better.:7 You may find some information on WebMD.

I have to go and check out a new dishwasher. Mine is on the blink! UGH!!

Hope everyone enjoyed their day!

Jackie

Quick checkin from a busy Cheetah! Kiersten's had a great day, I was the most popular Mom at the lunch room bringing in Subway! It's so fun to see them in their school environment, they both have great teachers too!

Well, I got in GS BSB this morning, and this afternoon I did the floorwork & abs from B & G. I love that! My achilles is still a bit tender, I took some Aleve & will ice again in a bit. I definitely won't be running tomorrow, we'll see how it feels. UGH!!

Gotta go get a few things done & ready for when Kiersten gets home from school. Then we'll head for Chinese buffet for dinner- yummy!

I added some pics from this morning to my picture trail. Kiersten opened one of her presents (a new pink shirt & jeans) so she had to wear them to school of course! I'll be taking more pics later! :)

Have a great night!

Hello again fabulous cheetahs! I had a great interval run today.
I ended up doing 6.2 miles exactly (10k) in 54:00 and still felt great with no pain:7 I've spent the last hour making more vacation plans and reservations in june:7 :7 Anyway, I'll be heading out soon for some errands and then it'll be ICycle later!

Jess- OH NO! I sure hope this achilles tendonitis is only a temporary 1-2 day thing. I know I have flare ups with this occasionally and at least with me, if I ice it soon like you did, it goes away pretty quick.... fingers crossed for you!

Marcia- Sorry you're not feeling well!!! Ya know I seriously think you should schedule yourself for a physical. Get a good routine panel of bloodwork done and have a good sit down with an internist.
37 is pretty young to be going through change of life, etc . I do hope you consider this. Checking out symptoms at web sites will probably only give you needless worries and the best action would be to seek professional advice. I'm speaking only out of loving concern for a fellow cheetah and I wont nag again.... promise!

Carole- Glad to hear the soreness is letting up!

SunnyD- I'm afraid I don't have a fancy bike with trainer like Christine or an actual spin bike. Only a plain old upright exercise stationary bike, but it does the job and gives a good non-impact form of crosstraining cardio. Got in an awesome workout today!!! WTG!

Jackie- Great job on your 3 miler!!! And followed it up with an iClimb... woohooo!!!! I think you and Linda need to both attend the next videofitnessaddicts anonymous meeting:p But seriously, if I want an opinion on a workout I'm contemplating buying, I know who to ask!

Susan- I think a 7 mile weener dog walk sounds wonderful:p Good choice!

Linda- How is your hip after your speedwalk session?

DH is pacing... gotta go!

ShellyC

Thank you, ShellyC, I appreciate your advice and concern VERY MUCH! I have a physcial scheduled for early May, so I'm going to document-document-document until then (unless of course something gets really bad) and so I have record of what's going on, that will only help my doctor I'm hoping. :)

Thanks again.
Marcia.

Well, cheetahs ~ I’m still in the middle of packing for my trip (I leave right after school tomorrow), so on second thought, I think I will take tonight as a rest day. The mountain awaits, so no feelings of guilt here!

Wendy :: Oh God…I really can’t read your post about BBC…the temptation is too great!!!!! j/k Glad it gets such great reviews.

Shelly :: hope the in-service is interesting – or at least time goes by quickly for you! Oh yeah, those chataranga runs were pretty ridiculous *lol*. I could not do them, either.

Judy :: you got a lot in yesterday! It probably *will* be my second and last ski opportunity this season. That’s OK…Colorado was a biggie. I am working on a trip out West for next Christmas again.

Carole :: k’boxing would have been a nice pick…but I still have some packing to do, and it is already almost 7 pm. Since it’s a recovery week, anyway, I’m not going to push and try to be Superwoman. I'll leave that to you and Shelley and Gayle and Wendy and...well, everyone else but me. *lol* So glad that foam roller is working out well.

Sunny :: Yes, I am following P90…can’t wait til you get back on it. After your cruise, you said, right?? :)

Jackie :: nice pace on your 3 miler! I am not blown away by Kenpo, either.

Susan :: yes, what you said makes total sense…even less-intense movement is healthy – it doesn’t always have to be a butt-busting sweatfest. It’s good to be balanced and not too obsessed. I hear you on needing the getaway! You sound like a GREAT mom - everyone has their moments. No worries!

Kristi :: thanks, I hope so, too…I would think you could train for your race and still do P90 with some modifications, but perhaps those more experienced with P90 can weigh in here.

Linda :: it is hard to fit it all in! How’ve you been doing with Fluidity lately?

Marcia :: yes, it is possible…I know someone who started going through perimenopause before 30. :( I don’t know of a website offhand, but a quick google should turn up some sites. However, I agree with Shelly, the best bet is to schedule an appointment. Good luck – I hope that’s not it!

~Cathy :)

Those who indulge...bulge!

Hi all -

It's 7PM and I'm STILL working! Granted, I'm working at home, but... What a pain. I did get a break and went to the gym. I rode the Virtual Reality bike again - it was still fun. But, I need to take break from riding for a day as I'm feeling it in the parts that touch the saddle... Good ride, though. I think tomorrow will be a rest day anyway. I'm due.

Gayle - purchase is fine. I have no issues with that. Tell me how much.

Sunny - good job at resisting... I think it's better to wait until after the cruise so you can really enjoy yourself. But, also look at the tandem attachments (Linda - for you, too). They are a great way to get the kids into biking and getting a workout but still able to fully keep up with you. It's really cool - DD and I got a lot of use out of it. I found this one on the Target website:

Well, back to work... End of quarter so everyone is trying to get things in and shipped! Fun fun!
