Top of the morning to you Cheetahs!

Cathy: You know how much I love the west! :) I am pretty excited for the conference. Your rotation looks great!

Christine: Sounds like B&G got you! So glad your DH is getting some possible answers! :)

Wendi: Hope you can avoid whatever you felt was coming on! :)

Carole: I can understand your bittersweet feelings about mom's house. Hope you had a great run!

Wendy: Great workout yesterday! I really like KPC abs. :)

Dallas: Glad the foam rolling is helping. Yes, it is very cold! Breaking out the wool sweaters already! :) Great icycle!

Brighton: WELCOME! :) Sorry about the foot! I have had a stress fracture in my pelvis before. Not fun. Take care!

Jackie: Great run! Enjoy your day off! Will you be doing anything fun?

Linda: I am trying to fit in the yoga, but as you know, it's tough. Glad the concert was fun!

Karen: What endurance workout did you decide on? Sounds like a nice evening!

Got in 15 min. of yoga and a 3 mile run yesterday. This morning I think I will do ME. Have a great day!:)

Good morning, cheetahs!

Jackie—woohoo!!! Off today!
yaysmiles.gif
Enjoy, and I hope you “sleep in.” Thanks for sharing RP’s advice. I tend to power up hills and sometimes catch myself “braking” on the downhill, which I know is a no-no. Should pay more attention to what I’m doing…I finally watched Obama’s election night speech. Beautiful, and once more, the tears flowed.

Christine—Oh, whew!
whew.gif
That is a tremendous relief about DH! And it makes total sense...Pizza presses—hunh. I don’t think it’s fair to call any exercise move—let alone a torturous one---by the name of a food. :p *lol* You? Identify with Eeyore? No way! I can’t see it.

Dallas—Oh, I like Rodney, actually, and own several of his workouts. I do think he could stand to wear a different pair of shorts :p , but overall, I like him. I have Yoga Shakti, and I must admit, I don’t reach for it often. Flow yoga is not my favorite. By the way, I caught you blowing off your yoga yesterday, lady! ;) Sounds like today will be a long day for you. Enjoy the B&G premix.

Gloria—I love the lesson on foreshadowing and re-reading that is in the very beginning of the book.
th_dorkalert.gif
Mine is full of Post-its. *lol* He is just one of those folks you could listen to all day long. Have you ever had a chance to hear Rick Wormeli? If not, he is someone I think you would like a lot, too. Enjoy ME! *ha ha* That sounded funny.

Today is simply yoga for me. Our grades are due on Friday, so it will be a week of time-efficient workouts.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

Good Morning Cheetahs

Confession: I didn't do DM TB premix + KPC abs y'day. I just had no energy or motivation for it. I guess I was still tired from the weekend. Oh well. That's why I'm up so early. Gonna get it done before work! ;)

Later on I'm hittin' the gym for the Groove class and then tmrw evening we will FINALLY start our salsa lessons. Yippee! :D

BB after my work out for personals...

Hey all.

DM TB Premix is done but I skipped the abs for now. I'll get 'em done later on at some point. I spent too much time farting around on FB this morning so I didn't have as much work out time as I should have. :p

Carole: Hope you were able to finish up your work out y'day. Did ya get a good chunk of the chores and laundry done that you were tackling? Good luck with selling mom's house and moving her.

Karen: Wish I had a fireplace! Maybe it would be a bad thing though cause it would be too easy to pull up a chair and drink a bottle of wine in front of it every night!:p I missed exactly what happened with your mom over the weekend. Glad she is still positive though. Hope she heals up soon!

Cathy: I think I'll just keep trying to get to the classes and not even worry about the circuit/yoga rotation for now. Love your Monday morning attitude. When I worked at the bank I'd get grumpy on Sunday nights cause I knew Monday morning was comin' fast. :p

Jackie: So did you make it until 6 this morning??? Enjoy your day off!!!!

Christine: Oh good. I'm so happy DH's doc doesn't think it's anything serious. That's got to be a load off of everyone's mind! Phew! :) How are you walking this morning, btw? ;)

Dallas: I'm sure Cathy will forgive you for blowing off FW for the household duties. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? Atleast you are making an attempt to get your yoga in. Actually, I am too but it's just not working out too well due to my work schedule and the class schedule clashing. GRRR.

Gloria: Ooooh ME. The last time I tackled that one in full I was soooooo incredibly sore the next day. ENJOY! ;)

My time is up here...gotta get DS dressed and all packed up for school now...

BB after work!

Toodles!:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

I really need to officially change my name to "Slacker Cheetah" as I've been really bad with regards to posting lately:(. I miss ya ladies! I just couldn't get back here last night cuz I got selfish and had a "ME" day:D!!! And, no, that's not Muscle Endurance, either;). I got all of the important errands done...oil change, bank, post office, returned some sneaks to Kohl's, etc., had a nice lunch with DSO and then farted around in the mall the rest of the day. I really needed to just wander around and do what I wanted yesterday with no agenda in sight and it felt GOOD!!!

There was a teeny agenda in that I was kind of looking for a dress for a sweet sixteen party that I've been invited to (the kid who owned Monkey) and it is, of course formal attire. I have two dresses that can probably be jazzed up but I figured I'd see what was out there and there was nada:(. Everything was either far too young or far too old fogey...eh, well:rolleyes:. I'm thinking a nice shawl and some amazing shoes will dress up my LBD just fine:).

I think all the walking yesterday did do the trick for my poor legs. I did HIS/LIS step today as recovery and it felt pretty good once I got loosened up. I'm hoping to get out for a run tomorrow morning.

Anyway, I've rambled on for so long about me and now I'm out of time....SORRY:eek:! Although I do want to give a shout out and very warm welcome to Brighton...any friend of Cathy's must be good people so we're thrilled to have you here!

I will do my very best to get back here tonight after work, grocery shop, and stop back at Kohl's to pick up a food processor that is *majorly* on sale today:). Have a great day ladies!

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Dallas – I’m all for waiting a few days – the ole buns are on fire! :p Enjoy your day today. Sorry for the early start. Those are never fun.

Gloria – Sounds like a good workout yesterday and today – enjoy ME!

Cathy – I had actually bought “The Audacity of Hope” a few months ago, but never read it. I’m reading it now. He is a fabulous writer. I’m even more impressed with his insights. Interesting read. ITA on Rodney needing a different pair of shorts – preferably a pair that is not as snug. I also agree that a killer move should not be named after a fabulous food! Yes, very, very much a relief with DH. He’s in much better spirits, too. But it did “wake” him up, so to speak, which is also good.

Wendy – Oh, it’s easy to spend time farting around isn’t it? Yeah, I can walk, but I feel every step. Perfect day for some nice light yoga! :p

Wendi – oh you selfish devil you! A “ME” day? I can’t think of anyone who should take such a day more! I’ll bet it felt good. Glad you are feeling better – I feel awful for recommending something that made you so sore!

Today is a scheduled rest day for me. I’ll run through some of the sequences in The Athletes Guide to Yoga to hopefully loosen up my sore muscles a bit – I’m feeling the B&G DOMS. Loving it! I won’t be 100% relaxed until we’re sure DH is fully out of danger, but our GP is really good, so I’m happy with his word! Have a fantabulous Tuesday all!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...LOL about Helen/Helga! Now I have to see that movie! I still watch Seinfeld now and then but not on a machine...:D...YES, the memories will always be there. And I have quite a few...:)..Enjoy yoga today.

Gloria...Thanks re: my Mom and her house. Hope you have fun with ME today.

Wendy...Yes I did get S&A done and some chores too. Good job with DM TB premix.

Wendi...I can understand your dress dilemma. I hate wearing dresses and find any excuse NOT to!! I have not tried any on in years. I am sure your shawl and nice shoes will be perfect for the dress you have...:)

Jackie...Enjoy your day off. I did get a few chores done and that always makes me feel better.

Christine...IA B&G overall can be a killer. In fact I did the weighted abs yesterday and will do the standing work today. BTW, how is the lower body DOMS today??I know it will be hard when Mom finds an Apt and moves farther away. I do expect to be more nostalgic..:)..Glad to hear no broken ribs for DH. I think that is a good idea to keep his specialist Appt.

Dallas...I did get S&A finished. I will be doing B&G with you today (just the standing for me!). Right now Mom has lived with my sister for the last couple of weeks. Hopefully after the house sale we can find her an Apt.

Karen..My Mom has been living with my sister for the last couple of weeks. After her house sells and things settle we will try and find her an Apt. Hope you enjoyed the nice cozy fire, I love our woodstove...:)

Today will be B&G standing and 40 min on the EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Hello cheetahpals! Sorry for being MIA the last few days. I had a very busy couple of nights at work that pretty well drained me. This job tends to be very fluid in nature... bored out of my head one night and running around like crazy the next... ya never know! I had one night off last night and after shopping, getting a short nap and then getting in a 12 mile run I had to take my big loverboy kitty Rio (18 lbs!) to the vet.. he had some conjunctivitis... nothing serious. Well, too wiped out again to post last nite, just caught up on some e-mail.

Today will be a 5 mile run and then LIC upperbody circuit:D.

Gloria- Thought of you the other day when I heard the news reports of all the snow in Michigan. You are our seasoned "up north" cheetah tho and I'm sure the snow and cold don't affect you much! Have fun with ME today... that's a goodie. I'll have to go back and see where this conference is of yours!

Cathy- Hope you have a wonderful Yogaday and that you make it thru this busy week with energy to spare!

Wendy- Sounds like you had a great time in AC!! Back to the norm now I guess. I had forgotten about your Salsa dancing... you should have alot of fun!

Wendi- gotta join you there in slacker cheetah status! We all have those busy periods tho. That was time very well spent on YOU yesterday and worth every minute!

Christine- Very encouraging word about your DH from his doc!!! I'm sure you are both quite relieved and I hope you keep us posted. Have a wonderful rest day.

Carole- Fabulous news about your Mom's house selling! Can you send some of those house selling vibes my way? (LOL) I'm with you there on dresses.... the very few I have are relegated to the very back of the closet and gather lots of dust!!! Nice leg workout day for you with the B&G plus and EXT session!

Dallas- Love your new avatar BTW... it is challenging keeping up with your screen names (LOL) Don't blame you for not wanting to go for those long runs during the Chicago winters! I usually hit peak mileage for marathon training 4-5 weeks away from the target date of the race. 50 was a little unusual for me.. usually it's more like 45 or so. And for a normal routine I tend to do around 30 for a week.

Brighton- WELCOME to the cheetah den. We are all very happy to have you join us!!! How is the foot feeling today? That is frustrating dealing with a stress fx. You can keep up a pretty good running endurance by focusing on elliptical cross trainer use if one is available to you. I bet you keep in pretty good darn shape tho just keeping up with taking care of your little ones! I lived in Arizona until this last spring when DH and I relocated to S. Pa where I am now. Anyway, before we decided to move I was planning on running the SLC marathon last April. It looked like a nice one and I'm sorry I had to forgo it!

Jackie- Great job on that long run last weekend and very impressive pace!!!!!!! Enjoying your day off?

Hi Karen! How is your Mom doing?

Hi Linda! Glad to hear your DD is doing well!

I think that about catches me up. Time to get the tush in gear.

Hola Chicas!

Fly by for now...I just got back, but have to leave again. I did get B&G Overall Leg premix done first thing this AM. Not exactly a workout that has me jumping out of bed and running down to the workout room. ;) However, glad its done. :) I hope to get a teeny cardio in, but the FW yoga will take precedence if I run out of time. My legs, I feel, will need it later. ;) No trouble in the hip area. :D Now about that premix...I forgot that Cathe has you repeat the floor work!!!! wow-wow-wow.

~BBL :)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Gloria - Good job on the 3 miles and yoga yesterday. Enjoy ME today.

Cathy - RP is also working on my breathing telling me to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. Half the time I forget, because I just want to breathe. :D I still haven't watched all of Obama's speech but hope to get to it soon. Enjoy your yoga.

Wendy - Nothing wrong with missing the workouts if the body is not up to it. Good job on DM TB. I made it until 6:30 this morning with the exception of a bathroom run at 4:00 am.

Wendi - Just post when you can. I hate shopping for a particular item and can't find a doggone thing. When you're not looking and when you don't have $$$, you see everything. Looks like you have a good back up plan.

Christine - Enjoy your rest day! Hope the yoga helps with the sore muscles. Glad to hear things are looking pretty good for DH and it was only a strained muscle. Good he's keeping the specialist appt.

Carole - Your mom may get spoiled living with your sis. Enjoy B&G and your EXT workout.

Shelly - Busy few days for you. Glad it didn't interfere with your runs. Glad Rio is ok. Enjoy your run and UB circuit.

Dallas - RP told me to try to keep a steady breath by breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. Also, going up the hills, he said to shorten the strides and keep a steady pace. I asked him if he was using Chi methods and said nah! I love that we can be having a conversation and he'll hear me breathing hard and tells me to take deep breaths. He also told me to make sure I hydrate well the night before. Been getting up in time to drink about 16 oz. of water before heading out.

I did iTread #4 60 minutes and 4DS Back & Chest and a little extra stretching. Going to get my hair done and take mom shopping now. Gotta get moving. Want to get out and in before the rain gets here.

Enjoy your day!

Good morning Cheetahs!!!!!

Awww, thanks to EVERYONE for such a warm welcome & all the get-well wishes! :)

Things here are pretty good, although I think I must be getting restless because I've been going crazy in the kitchen... made 2 loaves of homemade bread & then pizza with roasted peppers, spinach, & goat cheese (yummy if you like that sort of thing...) I have until Thursday to stay completely away from workouts, but then I hope to at least get on the bike or elliptical.

Karen: Warm wishes to you & your mom, I know how devastating falls can be! LOL about Bryan Kest!!! ITA about yoga-- life for me is so much more balanced if I find time to fit it in... it's just the finding time part that can be difficult! :)

Linda: So sorry to hear about your family's experiences with preclampsia. It was definitely a tough few months for us.

Wendy: Your job sounds fantastic! I frequent the 24 Hour here & love those girls that watch my kids while I'm there-- they are lifesavers! When is DS's birthday? Mine's is May 22nd-- sounds like they're very close to the same age! :) He is so fun, but he can be pretty intense! He's also in preschool, though just twice a week. It's run in collaboration with a gymnastics club, so he gets the academics & athletics. He's really enjoyed it so far. Good luck with the marathon training!!! :D This April will be my first as well!

Cathy: Yay for English teachers! :D That's exactly what I envisioned myself doing out of school... then through a series of life's twists & turns I ended up coaching instead. I love teaching-- so rewarding. LOL over "eating vs. cooking!" I think that's the best part about cooking-- the eating. :) There's so many great skiing resorts out here-- my recommendations would be Brighton (not that I'm biased or anything ) & Alta in the SLC area & The Canyons in Park City. Those are the resorts locals usually go to. My dad grew up in SLC & was a ski instructor while he was in school-- he swears by Brighton & Alta. That's where I learned to ski, we'd fly out from Chicago every spring. And "Tommy Boy?" Classic. :)

Carole: LOL over DH's lazyboy! :D My DH is a former swimmer like me, so I think when I started training for that tri it kinda sparked that competitive side in him again... he likes his lazyboy too! ;) The first triathlon we did last summer I actually beat him-- but no more! :D He beat me in the last one we did in Sept. I'm just so glad he's doing something he enjoys again-- he'd been dealing with sleep apnea & other stuff... Most of it is gone now, so I'm very relieved. They say they should be able to tell if it's a stress fracture a couple weeks after the injury-- I guess usually they're too small to see on the x-ray initially but as they heal the calcification of the healing process shows up after a couple weeks.

Dallas: Yay for Chi-town! :D :D :D I'm from the western suburbs-- I was born in Hinsdale & grew up in Woodridge/Downers Grove. I still have family in Naperville. Although I absolutely love living out west with the mountains & everything I get very homesick for Chicago. My dad is a big Sox fan & my mom is a Cubs fan. ;) I usually follow the Cubs, but I do cheer for both teams as well. LOL about working on my six-pack-- heaven knows I could use some extra work there!!!!!! I'm a Shiva Rae fan as well!

Shelley: I am looking forward to getting on that elliptical crosstrainer ASAP!!! :D I'd actually been thinking about rationalizing my way to getting on it now, but figure I'd probably better follow the dr's advice... But soon! :) What a small world about the SLC marathon! I've heard it's supposed to be one of the better 26.2's at altitude. Where in AZ did you live? My mom's family is all in AZ-- Phoenix & the White Mountains area.

To everyone else, thanks so much for welcoming me here & bear with me as I get to know you all... :) Best wishes & happy training!

~Brighton~

Christine – That is wonderful news about your DH! I hope he is feeling better soon! It sounds like he will be! Enjoy your rest day!

Gloria – I am glad you enjoyed your run and yoga! Enjoy ME today! Enjoy your day off! Sure do wish I was off! :)

Cathy – I didn’t get to see the speech. Maybe I will still get to see it, though. I am sure there will be “replays!” :) I hope you are enjoying your day off!

Wendy – Great job on getting the DM premix done!

Wendi – You are due some “ME” time! Glad you got to do it! The Sweet 16 party should be fun! Glad the legs are feeling better!

Carole – Enjoy your EXT and B&Gs!

Shelly – Sounds like a whirlwind few days! Enjoy your run and LIC UB! I am glad Rio is okay!

Jackie – Enjoy your run and 4DS! That is cool that you have a “built in coach!”

Brighton – Oh my! The bread and pizza sounds yummy! I absolutely love goat cheese! It is a weakness of min!

I woke up at midnight last night. I was literally freezing to death! I noticed I couldn’t see anything at all. I realized our power was out. I barely slept at all from that point on. I was freezing! I didn’t get to do anything this morning because of the power outage. I actually sat in my car with the heater running full blast to put my makeup on for work! That was at 6:30 a.m. this morning. It is now 2:04 in the afternoon and we still have no power! Grrr! We will spend the night in a motel if it is not on tonight! I “need” to workout! It has to come back on! :(

Hey to everyone!

Linda

Afternoon Ladies,

I'm patiently waiting for a repair guy to leave so I can get to my cardio and stretch. The kids have dental appt this afternoon, so I hope it's soon.

Linda ~ Oh dear, what happened? A storm? Well, we had power and I still got up about 1A to put more layers on...my North Face sweatshirt and sweats over my pjs. Brrr. I can only imagine how cold YOU were! :( **crossing fingers** for restored power.

Brighton ~ We played soccer in every single one of those towns! :) I did some of my teaching certification hours at Naperville South. Well, I wished you lived closer because I would love to try a triathlon - someday. However, I am a terrible swimmer. I thought about getting swim lessons, but feel really silly. That is awesome that you inspired your DH. I keep hoping mine would catch the running bug. :) I love your blog too.

Jackie ~ Your RP is so knowledgeable. I wonder why TNT coaches never told us these things...we had plenty of hills. ;) Oh, you're so good getting up early to hydrate. I'm bad about that too. I drink while working out though. ;) Nice workout. Did you get everything done before the rain? It's raining here - I didn't know we were expecting rain. I almost got a car wash...glad I didn't. :)

Shelly ~ Wow! You sure got a lot done and a 12 miler to boot! I promise I won't change my username again. :) If I do, you can kick me out of the den. lol Seriously, I figured why not get credit for all those old posts and combine the two usernames. :p Now I'm a Cathlete!:D *ha ha* Well, 45 miles/week is nothing to snub your nose at! Someday, just maybe, I'll get there. :) Hope Rio will be ok.

Carole ~ Nice workout plan. I hope the EXT is in the very near future for me. *sigh* I really enjoy the B&G standing. Today was just crazy! lol Good luck apartment hunting for your mom.

Christine ~ I still wanted to check that yoga out. Who sells it? I'm joining you on the B&G DOMS. I didn't realize the scheduled premix had the floor work in it...and 2 x's!!! I don't mind it either. :)

Wendi ~ Sounded like you needed just that kind of day y-day. Have you ever tried Black and White. I've always had good luck their dresses. Of course, not a great selection of colors. :p;)

Wendy ~ IA, maybe I should find a local yoga class. Hmmm. Yeah, that's why I hate to log into FB...next thing you know you've lost an hour!:rolleyes: I have a lot of high school friends who have come out of the wood work reecently. It's nice looking at their pictures and seeing what they have been up to. :) Nice workout!

Cathy ~ Oh, you caught me! :p It won't happen again. :) re: Rodney - maybe it was someone else on this check in?? I saw the political thread and I see nothing wrong with what you said either. That was nice of Christine too. :) BTW, that Cheetahs paw is too funny. :D

Gloria ~ Are you off today? lol'ing at all the "Enjoy ME" comments to you. I do enjoy ME as well. ha!

Well, that about catches me up.

Have a great afternoon and evening. :)

Hola, cheetahs~ :)

Wendi—good for you being selfish with your time for a change. If you don’t feel like going the shawl route, you can always add a trendy belt with/without a cardigan over the dress (depending on the dress). I picked up a cute zebra print belt at Target on-the-cheap earlier this season, and I always get compliments on it. ETA: Oh gosh—that was NOT intended to sound cocky or anything. Meant it's funny how sometimes an inexpensive accessory can jazz up a look.

Wendy—looking forward to that salsa lesson already, ay? Enjoy.

Christine—*lol* about ol’ Rod. (ha! How’s that for a pun?) So glad DH is feelin’ more up—and a wake-up call probably wasn’t a bad thing, either. I may have to read Audacity next. So many books, so little time. :)

Carole—I still tune in to Seinfeld other times, too. Never get sick of that show. Serenity now!!! :D

Shelly—ha! I expected the reference about your "big loverboy" to be about Jer! Made me smile. Glad Rio is going to be OK.

Dallas—great job with a tough workout. Glad your hip is feeling good. Oh, don’t feel silly—I took swim lessons at the Y when I was in my 20s. There were adults of all ages in the group…And hey, you know I am the last person who’s gonna judge you for not getting in yoga—or whatever! Life is busy. We do what we can...*lol* about the whole ME business. Glad I’m not the only one who found humor in that. Been teachin’ M.S. too long probably. :D

Jackie—hope you and mom enjoyed your day together. Any good bargains? Ha about just wanting to breathe. I hear you on that! Here is a link to the speech if you have time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jll5baCAaQU

Brighton—mmm, that pizza sounds awesome. BTW, gotta concur w/ Dallas—what a cool name you have! Guess we know what inspired the parentals. J Thanks for the ski suggestions. Utah was on our short list for our next trip out West, but then one couple from our ski crew just had their first baby this September, so it’s on hold for now. So, do you think you’ll return to coaching eventually?

Linda—Egads! That is just awful about the power loss and bad night’s sleep! I am cold a lot of the time—I’da been dying! Hope power’s been restored in the meantime…I posted a link to the speech ^^^. Oh, I didn’t have off today, but I did enjoy my day nonetheless. J Middle school kids keep me laughin’.

All right, work for tonight is done, downtime is over, and now for some nice PM yoga.

Have a great night!

ETA: Gloria—I'm happily with you in that geek category. :) Think I'd love working in the same building with you. Yes, I remember the days of not having a grading program. Life is much easier with the online system now. Although we switched programs this year, so there have been some kinks to work through.

Hello Cheetahs!

Cathy: I really only started reading the book. :) Not that far yet. I am the queen of post its. My favorite teaching books are filled with them. I have read some of Rick Wormeli. The summer before I taught 7th grade for the first time I was worried about the transition with my previous experience and I found one of his books free online. It was certainly helpful. Simply yoga sounds great! The week grades are due are a time for condensed workouts for sure. That will be coming up for me soon. I am using an Excel spreadsheet this year and it is making life a lot easier. We used Grade Quick at the middle school. When I went to the elementary school I couldn't believe they didn't have anything like that! Everyone averaged grades with a calculator! I am sure you can imagine how long that takes! I choose to work smarter. :)

Wendy: ME is a favorite of mine. I am already feeling the pain. I was good at doing it once a week last winter. I am better at working out in the winter. Hopefully this one will be the same. :) Great getting in DM TB premix!

Wendi: Sounds like you had a day well deserved! :) Do tell which food processor you are looking at! I have a Black and Decker and am anxiously waiting for it to die so I can get the beloved Cuisinart or Kitchen Aid one. Glad you could get in some great workouts!

Christine: I love Rodney Yee, but also agree the shorts are a bit much! :) So glad to hear DH is doing better. Hope your rest day was a good one.

Carole: Is your mom doing ok living with your sister? My grandpa is living with my aunt and he says all the time that they are keeping him like a prisoner. He is so crabby and stubborn. He has not booked any flights to Germany in a while, so at least that is good. :) I love our woodstove too. Great workout plan today!

Shelly: My conference is in suburban Detroit, no place special. :) The speaker is a famed writer in re: to teaching, so it is pretty exciting for geeks like me! :) You have been doing great with your workouts, as usual. :) I bought some really cool gloves for outdoor running that I can't wait to try out. My hands always get so cold. I have my fingers crossed for your house selling! :)

Jackie: Sounds like a busy day today! Great workout! :)

Brighton: Well, you sure are one busy lady! It sounds like you have been through a lot with the little ones. That is great Dh is motivated to compete with you. I will be 33 in January and have been into fitness since I was 15 years old. I am a 5th grade teacher and live in northern MI. I spent two summers in Livingston, MT and actually contemplated moving there. The west is so beautiful, but there are great things about every place here in the U.S. Again, welcome to the Cheetahs! We are happy to have you! :)

Linda: I have been through many power outages and they are less than desirable. We had a huge ice storm one time that knocked out power to the whole town. We ended up getting two days off of school. Thank goodness, I couldn't even shower! That stinks you had to get ready in the car! Did you end up going to the hotel? I did work today...but I did love the thought of not having to! :)

Dallas: Sounds like you are taking good care of the hip. Did the repair guy leave in time? :)

Had a great workout today. Tomorrow is PD, so no kids. Some DA scheduled a meeting for 7:30 regardless. Grrrr. Oh well. Have a great night everyone!

Hey All.

Got to Groove class today finally but I admit that I was close to blowing it off. I was exhausted after work so after lunch I laid down for a power nap. Well, that power nap lasted longer then usual so I had to rush to make it to class in time. Glad I made it though. It always puts a smile on my face even though I am a horrid dancer. :p I never got to KPC abs today-I totally forgot about it. DOH! LOL Oh well. Abs are easy enough to thrown on to any work out so I'm not worried...

Wendi: Slacker? Um, I think NOT, girlfriend! You are crazy busy most of the time so no one here will ever bust your chops for not checkin' in! Glad you took some time for yourself. You deserve that and then some!:)

Christine: How's that booty doin'? :D Did the yoga help loosen things up? Glad DH is more at ease now that he's seen your GP.

Carole: Looks like it's gonna be a B&G week around here. Christine did it y'day, you did it today and I'm doin' it on Thursday. Sore glutes here we come!:D

Shelly: Your bringing up your 18 pound cat reminded me of the cat I used to have. He was a big boy as well...about 20 pounds I believe. Yeah, I am looking forward to the salsa class. It's been a long time coming so I'm really excited to get started finally. My BMF is more then a foot taller then I am so DH thinks we are going to have a hard time of it. I don't care. We'll just laugh alot. I can't dance worth a darn anyway!:D

Dallas: Another B&G'er!? Definately the popular work out this week!:) Yeah, FB is cool. I was on it constantly at first and then barely at all for a looong time. Now I'm startin' to get back into it...for now anyway. Eventually I'll get bored with it again though. LOL

Jackie: I get up to pee between 2 and 5am almost every night myself. 6:30 isn't too bad. I usually get up between 6-6:30 so for me, sleeping in is 7. I am planning another early rising tmrw though so that I can get my work out done first thing.

Brighton: OMG, my son was born on May 14th! :D My job is very convenient to my situation so it's great in that way but it's not something that I love doing. I do it cause it works so it's cool. :) That pizza sounds yummy. I LOVE cheese but not sure I ever had goat cheese before. What's it like??

Linda: ((((HUGS)))) I hope your power went back on. Do you know what caused the outage??

Cathy: Hope you enjoyed your yoga session. Yup, lookin' forward to the salsa classes. From what I hear salsa involves a lot of hip shaking. I am not good at that unless I've had a few drinks! Maybe there's a bar close by that we can hit before goin' to the class!? :D

Gloria: Glad you enjoyed ME. I'm sure you'll get plenty of good work outs in this winter!

Well I'm due for cardio tmrw. Planning to get up uber early to get it done before work. Not sure if I'll head to the gym for a run or do something at home. I'll decide in the morning. It really depends on how early I want to get up. I don't have to get up quite as early if I'm doing my work out at home so we'll see...

Better head to bed. 4:30-5:00 am is gonna come real quick!:p

Good night!

Evening Ladies!

I'm about to head to bed. However, I wanted to disconnect my iPod...so, I thought I'd pop in here one more time. *ha ha* See If You Give a Mouse a Cookie ...again. ;) I did get 30 minutes on the EXT, foam rolled and FW runner's segment. :) The kids had great check ups at the dentist. :D

BTW, Did anyone catch the news about the chimp taking care of the baby white tigers? So cute!:D I couldn't believe CNN (Larry King specifically) tonight was already talking about the 2012 election.

Cathy ~ I currently take the kids to a scuba place for swim lessons. I've been on the verge of asking them...for about 2 years. ;) lol'd at your lol at Gloria's abbrev. :D Hey, Audacity has a great audio and Barack reads it himself. I find audio books have been great while cleaning. I'm finishing up The Gift by Richard Paul Evans on audio. :) Now if I can actually finish Grace, the actual book, by Evans before the due date, I'll be happy. How did your PM yoga go?

Gloria ~ So, is PD a day off? No, the guy did not leave in time. However, I still got it in...I needed to because B&G's premix got me. :)

Wendy ~ Yes, FB is addicting. It's been fun reconnecting with old high school friends though. :) Glad you got that class in. Oh, I could have used a power nap. I almost fell asleep in the waiting room. IA 4:30A will come early! Better hit it!

Nighty night all!
