!!!CHEETAHS...very merry Christmas!!!

Hi Girls.

I'm back!:)

Okay so I'm confused. Is there a Cheetah in the house who participated in but did NOT receive a grab bag gift??
I ask because it appears that I may have received *2* gifts. I think my name might have been put in the hat twice by accident?? Or perhaps there was confusion between myself and Wendi?? I don't recall if she was participating but I believe she was.

Wendi, Did you not receive a grab bag gift from your Secret Santa?

If there was indeed a mistake made, I will gladly send the Cheetah whom was given my name in error a check for the wonderful gift she sent me!

I got the air pump and Embrace the Challenge Tshirt from Linda and I also got the Cathe calander from Susan. They are wonderful gifts and I really appreciate them even if I end up paying for one of them! :7 :7 :7

BBL.

Cathy - I'll be doing it on the treadmill. I bet the night was full of laughs. You must be happy to not be stuck with that present!

Good morning and MERRY CHRISTMAS CHEETAHS!!!!!!!

Lorie – I thought that was a beautiful picture of you! What a cute picture of your doggie, too! Ouch! Sorry about the knee! I would have eaten to much chocolate toffee and peppermint bark if I would have had it here, too! Tis the season!

Wendy – I am glad you had fun at the party!! Good job on using the restraint….something I haven’t been very good at this season!

Shelly – Hope your night at work wasn’t too bad! Sorry for all the patients that filled the hospital! My MIL is back in the hospital. She has been back in for around a week. Anyway….You don’t “babble”! I love reading your posts! (and everyone’s posts!  ). No snow in WV this year  We have 50 degree weather. I would love to have a beautiful snow! Thanks for the encouraging words on my workouts! Enjoy yours!

Cathy – I am with ya on never getting out of Target without spending a bunch! Glad some of your symptoms are subsiding! That is a beautiful picture of you! That looks like you guys had a ball! Loved the other pics, as well! I’ll bet that was hilarious!

Wendi – Good job on getting all of your preparations done! You did an awesome job getting ready for everyone! Enjoy your run!

Thomasina – Right back at ya! Merry Christmas!

Kristi – Your present sounds great! Have fun with it!!!

Jackie – Thank YOU AND EVERYONE for motivating me and being my friends, too! You are very welcome! Your scarf and gloves sounds wonderful!
Hope you are feeling better!

I opened my Secret Santa gift!!! I love it! I got a couple of Under Armor Headbands and some weight lifting gloves!!! Thank you , thank you, thank you, Wendy!

I woke up at 5:00 this morning. Madison decided we had slept in enough. I had a wonder 10 mile run! So…that was my Christmas present to myself!

Merry Christmas to everyone and big hugs to everyone! I am really thankful that I have you ladies to “talk” to!

I will try to be back later! Gotta go start dinner preparations for my company!

Uh oh! On my e-mail it said "Wendy" with a "y"...so I took it for granted it was you. I don't know if I messed up. If I did...I am so sorry! Let me know!

I did think it was a coincidence, though, that I got your name and you got mine.

Linda

Oh nooooo!!

I just went and logged into the dummy email account I set up for our Secret Santa exchange, and I see that my friend who "helped" me with this sent the name "Wendy" to both Susan *AND* to Linda. I very CLEARLY labeled the Wendi with an "I" and Wendy with a "Y." http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/shakinghead.gif GRRRRR!! I could kill her. (Tis the season.)

Serenity now.
Serenity now!
SERENITY NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I'm good now.

But I'm really sorry to all involved!! What a screw-up.

Linda :: great run! Big HUGS comin' backatcha!

Cathy - I just saw your last post. That is okay! It is not your fault! We will figure it out and fix it! That would be very easy for your helper to have done by mistake!

cathy-you are beeyootifull!!! thanks so much for my gift. i knew it was from you because of the zip code. how special that you were my secret cheetah!!!

wendy-sorry you aren't feeling 100%. But you had a good time, right?! that's so funny that you got a cathe calendar from linda. i was her secret cheetah and that's exactly what i got her!!!

jackie-yes, ivy is very beautiful. she was a horrible abuse case. i rescues her in the shelter where she had 8 babies (i got them all adopted). it's been 2 yeaers and she is still extremely skittish around others. when i first got her, she wouldn't come in from the basement or outside and only stayed with the other dogs. she especially loves baloo and "makes out" with him all the time. anyway, i tried to take her to adoptions but all she would do is sit and shake and if someon came near her or even looked at her too closely she would pee/poo on herself. they thought she was "unadoptbale." i didn't want to risk her not getting a home so i kept her. two years later she is a pretty normal girl. she even comes to strangers after her initial bout of trepidation. i love her so much.

kristi-yes, it's a shame he won't be here on christmas but i look at it as his loss. i'm having a wonderful christmas so far and it's only going to get better.

linda-thank you so much for the nice compliments! the toffee was yummy. i haven't tried the bark *yet*

so, my workout is DONE!!! i decided to do a steady state run which i haven't done since i found grace. okay, here's the dork in me...my all-time favorite movie that i could watch over and over is "the sound of music" so i put it in and ran on the TM. yes, i even sang along with all the songs. i am sure i was QUITE a sight, but i had fun!!! i did 11.4 miles in 97 minutes. the only thing is, throughout the run, my right outer hip was hurting (i think that's why i stopped at 97 minutes). if you bend your leg then go to the side of where it is bent, that is where it hurts (i guess my outer hip area?). i've had hip flexor pain, but never this. i took some alieve and will take a rest day (or maybe weights but nothing on my legs) tomorrow. actually, i do plan on going shopping tomorrow for all the great deals, so that might be my only workout. anyway, i am going to stretch, stretch, stretch today. i may even tackle miranda if i have time. if not, maybe stretch max.

anyway, i am in desperate need of a shower.

i hope you all are having a very merry. xoxo

Lorie - Did you mean you were Susan's Secret Santa? ;-) I think Susan sent Wendy the calendar and I sent her the pump and shirt. And Wendy with the "y" got my name. LOL...I "think"! I know exactly what you mean about not being able to make yourself do a real "steadystate" run since you got into doing Grace's runs! This morning I was supposed to do a long slow run...but I still had to use iTread with Grace! I need her for motivation and to push me!

P.S. That was an awesome run and time for your 11.44 miles!
Linda

Lorie...way to go on the 25 # dumbells! Thanks for sharing the cheetahs pic...your xDF really made a big mistake IMO...:)..I love that premix from SJP/SB. Geeze, I hope your knee is okay...that toffee sounds yummy. I think Ivy is way cute, makes me happy to know she now has a very, very good home..:)

Cathy...the Bosu is just a dream, I didn't ask for it and really have no room right now until I get my workout room in order. Sorry you were feeling kinda yukky yesterday, hope it was nothing. I think a lot of people open presents on X-mas eve, I know for us it was always just one present on X-mas eve. You know for whatever reasons your cousins and aunt/uncles decided to give everyone gifts you will never know, I have seen that time to time with my family and my feelings are some people so enjoy giving so let them feel good...:)...Thanks for the pics of your gift swapping, it looks like it was a blast. You also look beautiful even in that dorky elf hat (which wasn't real dorky to me!)...:)

Wendi...good job getting things done before your company arrived. I loved the way you wrapped your gift to your SO...:D...

Tomasina...Merry X-mas!! Your song is cracking me up....so you love Frankie??...LOL!!

Kristi...Merry Christmas to you! I bet your kids are loving their presents...:)

Wendy...tough workout yesterday!! The bracelet is beautiful!! The Almond champagne is really tasty, but it is getting hard to find, last year we had to order a case and that was pricey, but I found some at World Market this year. WOW, Joey is getting some cool stuff. I bet it is so fun watching him open all his gifts...:)...I remember playing with one of those maze toys at my old Chiro's office...I hope your little hangover goes away fast! Potato chips and pepsi used to work well for me...:)

Christine...that Santa tracking site was cool! Not sure what happened in the GB game. I think it might have been the chilling wet weather. Loved the pic of Santa and the aussies.

Jackie...sorry about your insomnia, I have been waking at 3 for the last few morning but seem to get back to sleep again. So sorry for the heartburn, but glad the KB workout made you feel better...I hope you have a very nice X-mas.

Shelly...way to go getting it all done yesterday, what a nice feeling. Thank you Shelly...sweet post yesterday...:)...I so enjoyed your company twice this year also...and hope for many more GTG's! I am with you as X-mas does not excite me like it used to. But the cheetahs sure help. Great workout for you too yesterday. Enjoy your tempo run and X-mas festivities.

Linda...The description of scrapple that I was told is after making the bacon and sausage it is what is left over?....Barf!!!...I found this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrapple way to go with the good workouts.

***Like you all have posted...I so appreciate this thread and the friends I have made and come to know. You are each truly special women and you don't know how you have (in your own way) brightened my days with a smile...:)...I am so glad I found Cathe and also this forum. I wish each of you a very Merry X-mas and Happy New year!!!

I am planning on CTX upper body split, 20 min on my EXT and a 4 mile run. The off to my Mom's for X-mas dinner.

Hi there ladies!

Okay, so I just had the biggest laugh over the Wendi/y thing LOL. No big deal...Wendy you made out like a bandit }( heehee! Enjoy! I figured Lori was my Secret Santa because I figured it might have gotten delayed coming from Canada. Don't sweat it guys :+! Your encouragement and friendship has truly been a gift this year that I will forever cherish.

Kristi - Enjoy the workout! Here's a funny for you...I never received the first CD from CC. It must have gotten lost in the mail so I emailed customer service and Sean emailed me back personally and sent a second "gift" with yours. So, I will be sweatin' along with you because he sent the Candace version, too.

Cathy - Great pic of your dad! No big deal about the screw up...I enjoyed the laugh!

Linda - Oooh, nice U/A! Great run this morning!

Wendy - See, I knew our names were bound to get screwed up at some point LOL! That's a very sweet gesture to your Secret Santa(s) hon. Hey, guess what I got for Xmas...a new coffee pot. I couldn't help but think of you.

Lorie - WOW, what a run this morning!!! You know singing along definitely makes that a tougher run! I'm glad you had a such a great time...although I hope that hip pain isn't anything too serious. Have fun shopping tomorrow...the walking will probably help it out a bit.

Merry Christmas everyone! BBL.

Carole - You snuck in while I was posting. Yeah, my family has a twisted sense of humor about concealing the identity of gifts. I've never heard of Almond champagne but that sounds wonderful! Nice score on the BOSU. Enjoy your Xmas workout and dinner at Mom's.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Cheetah Babes!!

I wondered in here thinking the boards would be dead – WOW! You ladies are chatty this morning! :+ I forgot to mention yesterday that I got my Cheetah Gift right on time! Thanks Lori!!!! It’s under the tree right now! We had a nice Christmas Eve – ate too much and drank too much, but that’s okay. I’m not hungover today – just a little fuzzy. I can handle fuzzy. I have some photos to share. The first is a photo of Santa’s helpers while Santa was putting gifts under the tree… http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1308/4836116/16406488/294733744.jpg

The second is Santa’s best helper –

DD14 is up – but the rest of the family is asleep – so she’s impatiently playing on the computer. I guess a little of the magic remains for her! :+

Lorie – OUCH! What a way to start Christmas morning! I hope you’re better! That toffee must be pretty darned good! I’m on my way! You’re Aussie mix very pretty – I love her coloring. I don’t understand how anyone can abuse an animal – especially a very sweet one. I’m so happy she has a good home with you now! Thanks for the pics! Glad you were able to workout with your bruised leg! Wow – what a workout, too!

Wendy – Good job at keeping the eating under control! Hope you’re hangover goes away soon! Hope you get a nap! I’m dealing with out 6 hours of sleep – but for one day, I can handle that. 4 is too little!

Shelly – I do sympathize with the patients on Christmas, too. What a depressing place ot be over the holidays! At least they have your cheery, friendly face to help. We love your babble. I’ve learned so much from you! I know what you mean about understanding, though. This is a great group!

Cathy!!!! I’m so excited that you like the video! I wanted to share it with you so much. As for the ornament – Teacher’s DO Rule – especially the good ones, and you’re one of those. I cannot wait to hear what you think. The Magically hips segment is almost sinfully good. Relatives – who can explain them? Oh my – that swap sounds hysterical!! I LOVE your “dorky” elf hat. You have the prettiest eyes and smile! The chickens are hysetical. The photos are wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

Wendi – Good job in getting the preparations done! Wow! Your SO sounds like a keeper! Sounds like a very delicious meal! Too funny on the snow broom/ice scraper! I hope you get in your run!

Thomasina! Thanks for logging in! I have to get the ham on soon! So that’s what my family will awake to! Merry Merry Christmas to you too!

Kristi – Oh how fun! I miss when my kids were up early. DD14 is up, but DD18 is too cool to worry about Christmas. DD14 will wake her up in about an hour. :+ I think people are just opening their presents.

Jackie – Isn’t this group great? I can honestly say that I would never have run a half marathon or 2 without the Cheetahs. How wonderful that we all encourage each other to be so much more than we thought we could be. I love this group! Glad the pain is gone and you’re feeling better!

Linda – What did Madison get today? What a great run! Good job! That would be a wonderful way to start the day!

Carole - Hope your Christmas dinner goes well! My girls get to open one gift on Christmas eve (always pj’s) and that’s it, too. My sister and I were able to exchange our gifts to each other. I agree that it may have been the cold weather – it was really bad! The Pats played lousy that day, too. Oh well, I hope they beat Dallas! :p

Well, I’d better go and pay attention to DD14 and my dad! Enjoy your Christmas everyone! Like I said above and like everyone else said already – this is an incredible group of ladies, and I just LOVE each and every one of you! You ladies have encouraged me to do things I never thought possible! You’re the best!

Wendi...thanks....but I didn't get the Bosu...at least not yet...:)

Christine...Thanks for the pics. Your Dad and DH look like my DH every night!! Well, I am a long time Dallas fan, and although the Pats have an amazing team if they meet up with Dallas, I will be pulling for the Cowboys...

http://www.sanfords.net/Spots_free_graphics/Sports/NFL/cowboysheaderlarge.gif[/img]

Wendi - Bless your heart! What you said is sweet! But We will fix it, somehow! Wendy did make out like a bandit, didn't she? ;)

Christine - What good pictures! My! Jimmy is beaaauutiful! He has grown so much! The other helpers must have worked themselves out! Madison got a Christmas card and a bag of treats! She is very happy about that!

Carole - Yuck, yuck, yuck! I figured it was something like that! Nasty! ENjoy your workout! It sounds great! Enjoy your time with your Mom and everyone at dinner!

Earlier, I decided to kick back, turn on the TV, and go for the 24-hour marathon of A Christmas Story already in progress. Tuned in just at the point where Ralphie is going to see Santa Claus and he remembers what he wanted as he is whisked onto the slide. Hilarious!

Then I nodded off for a bit of a nap. PUB still awaits. Will get to that within the hour.

http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/images/smilies/blush.gif Thanks for the compliments, ladies. I’m all embarrassed. I just want to echo the sentiments expressed by everyone already – that this is a phenomenal group to be part of and that your ongoing friendship, support, and encouragement are so appreciated! It’s a place that I always leave feeling GOOD.

Lorie :: Awww, poor Ivy! What a horror story. I’m glad she’s made such good strides in your care, and hell, she’s certainly seein’ more play than I do these days! *lol*…Oh, I forgot about XDF spending X-mas with his mother and being afraid of the possible friction. It’s definitely his loss and you have a great attitude about it—but here, let me do this, anyway, for ya. BANG!
http://forums.randi.org/images/smilies/hit.gif

Carole :: I still have the cough and scratchy throat today, but nothing progressed beyond that, so that’s good…Yes, you are right -- if people want to give, just let them and be thankful…Well, the family kook was wearing antlers, so I wasn’t alone…*lol*...Awesome workout! Enjoy dinner at your mom’s. Any grief about not eating the turkey?

Wendi :: no way you are going gift-less, babe! We will take care of this!!!!

Christine :: LOVED the pics of all your helpers!!! :7 Must be fun sharing in DD14's excitement.

Well, we had a great morning! I really enjoyed having the whole family here to open gifts. It was really nice. And WOW, DH – out-did himself this year. He got me this watch - http://www.movado.com/Details.aspx?Id=womens&watchType=Womens&watchCode=&watchId=605999&page=9 . It’s absolutely stunning. I’m so afraid I’ll lose it! I also got my iPhone – that is pretty darned cool! The kids were happy, too. I’m cooking dinner now so I have to be brief, but I hope everyone is enjoying themselves.

Carole – Oh, I hope Green Bay beats the Cowboys. The Pats beat them once, so we can do it again. :p

Linda – Jimmy is a character. He HATES those ears, but he puts up with them. What a good boy. Glad Madison got some treats, too! Jimmy got a stocking filled with squeakies and balls!

Cathy – too funny about A Christmas Story! Glad you got in PUB! I hope you feel better tomorrow! You leave tomorrow, don’t you? Are you all packed?

Wendi - I've heard numerous people from VF say that Sean is always doing kind gestures like he did with you. That is one of the reasons I love CC, okay his sexy voice might have something to do with it too. :) ;) Thanks for the CD again! You did too much buying the MP3 version too. Enjoy your special gift as well. I wasn't able to run today like I had planned but I will hopefully tomorrow. How did work go? We were in Indiana yesterday around noon when DH got a call from his work. He failed to inform me that as soon as we got home last night he would need to go into work for about an hour. He didn't want to ruin or rush my Christmas Eve with my brothers and their families. It seems like DH can never take a day off work without some kind of emergency coming up.

Christine - Your watch is beautiful! You're DH did a great job picking it out. It sounds like you are having a wonderful Christmas.

Lorie - I love your attitude regarding your BF. It is his loss. I'm glad you are enjoying your Christmas nonetheless.
Linda - I hear you re: the unseasonably warm temperatures. I would love to see some white stuff too. However, I hope I haven't jinxed us by saying this and we get 2 feet of snow or something crazy like that. I'm sure seasonable temperatures will hit us soon so maybe we should be enjoying the warmer temps while we can.

WAVES to all my cheetah friends! I'll try to check-in with everyone tomorrow. However it will be my first day back to work in over a week. I'm sure my office manager wasn't able to do much of my work while I was gone. She doesn't know how to do my job even though she is my boss because the position has changed so much in the 10 years I have worked there. I'll talk to you all tomorrow (fingers crossed).
