Morning, ladies! :7

Back to work for me today. Firepower is on my agenda for after school.

Wendi :: I'm laughing so hard here. I didn't have my glasses on when I read your post, and I thought you reported doing something other than CoOkmax. }( :7...I have an exam in June and then results come out in November. It's a crazy long time to wait!

Hope everyone has a great day! BBL

Good mornin',

cathy- another huge round of applause for you today!!!!! enjoy firepower}( yes, i have training clinic by anthony. it is excellent, esp. for learning proper form.

wendi- can i come over to partake (note: eat) in cookmax?:7 yep, that's me busy beaver.

judy- are you ready for HIIT today?

christine- how is that finger doing today?

today is HIIT on the treadmill!

i will BBL...:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Gotta be quick for now and probably won't see you guys until tomorrow morning :(. I did 4DS BC cardio, MM UB split and core. I am really enjoying MM, more than I thought I would. I'm happy to report that this ol' body had nothing to say this morning about yesterday's run...in fact it's the best my foot has felt getting out of bed in about two months. I hope all that nonsense is behind me!

Cathy - OMG, LMAO at your, ahem, *misunderstanding*!!! I didn't realize you had to wait for any news until after that (well after that!) exam. Enjoy Firepower tonight!

Sunny - Drop in anytime...there's always enough to feed an army (that would be an army of one...ME!) Ahem, do you remember your New Year's resolution? I just want to make sure that you're finding enough time for yourself...you deserve it! Enjoy your HIIT!

Okay, gotta get moving. I *hope* to see you all tonight but I may not get home until very, very late tonight x(. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all! I've (so far) had a fairly pleasant night at work.
Looking forward to 3 nights off after this and getting alot accomplished. We should be finally unloading our gym tomorrow, the Fire Dept that we donated it to is picking it up. That will free up alot of space for boxes!! I hope to finish up my resume and narrow down employment possibilities also.

Cathy- Enjoy your Firepower today. I guess it's back to work for you? Re: my dad... yes indeed he is a bundle of energy. My mother too for that matter. They both can still run circles around me!

Dallas- Re: ASJ- there are a few little tricky areas but by and large this workout is fairly simple to follow.... just takes alot of energy!! A great sweatdrencher  That little stability ball workout at the end really does a number on the inner thighs... mine are still in shock!

Kristi- Glad you are at least walking now:) I like your plan about starting with nonweighted LB exercises. I'm sure your knee will let you know if it's too much.... and you are smart enough to listen;-)

SunnyD- Enjoy your HIIT today. Are you and Judy doing the same rotation?

Wendi- Foot still behaving after your run????? YAYYY!!! Hope your day goes well for you.

That's all I have time for now. I'll try to check back in later.
For today I'll be doing a 6-7 mile run and then later All BodyAttack.

ShellyC

Hi Cheetahs :)

Cathy- you don't get the results of the June exam until November? That IS a long time.

Sunny- I did HIIT yesterday - Itread sprints #19. I adore that WO! Then I did B&G floor and abs premix. All the floor exercises (except outer thighs) are done twice! Next week I will be on the same schedule as you.

Shelly- I am starting a week behind Sunny in NROL and some HIIT too! This week is too hard to follow a rotation with leaving town with DS & DH. I hope you find some attractive choices for nursing employment. Will you continue in Critical Care?

Wendi- sound like a nice day off yesterday!

Shelly- enjoy your run ( I know you always do !) and your later WO too!

Hi Dallas, Carole, Wendy Thomassina, Linda and kath!

Kristi- IA w/ Shelly about your plan and being smart about it! I am sorry you missed the race with your DB though!

Today will be a non HIIT run and upper body.

Happy Tuesday Cheetahs!

Today is a rest day, and I need it. I’m tired and a little sore from HSTA, but not too bad. Just in the chest from those endless flies. I did them with my 15 pound kettlebells. :p I guess today is the day we hear if we’re running in the Nike half. That will be interesting!

Kristi – How’s the knee feeling today? Not sure I’ll master the leg raise on the kettlebells – that’s TOUGH! :p

Dallas – Coyotes are everywhere, aren’t they? Good workout yesterday wow! The move is hard to describe. Basically it’s like that move in CoreMax where Cathe has you sit on the ground and lift yourself up, but in this one, you’re balancing on kettlebells (yes I was VERY careful) and you have your legs out straight off the floor. I could hold most of my weight, but my toes wanted to touch the floor. :p Lands End does tend to run true to size, sorry. I think even Eddie Bauer and LL Bean do not offer below a size six. I’ve wondered about that.

Wendy – Yeah, a standard weight workout! It felt great, too. I love variety! Hope the hip flexors are feeling better today!

Cathy - Way to go girl! *Does happy dance around the room* I’m so happy for you that you can see something, for a short bit at least, other than the NB’s! Wow! That is a long time to wait to hear! My heavens! Enjoy Firepower! I cannot wait to hear how you like it. And no, I don’t quite manage that move. Nor do I look anywhere as good an Anthony while attempting it! :p

Sunny – Finger is pretty healed today, thanks. Have fun with HIIT!

Wendi – I’m so happy to hear the foot is feeling good! I hope today is not tooo late! Wow, you do need a new job! Glad you had a nice day yesterday! Oh, I have to do SOME kettlebells – and seriously, nothing works my core like kettlebells. Oh man, I’m glad that lady has you around. Some horse people are just plain weird. Kind of like some dog people. :p Apples for soup? What soup did you make?

Shelly – Glad you had a nice night at work. Busy time, eh? Did you like that house? Did you make an offer? I don’t remember reading whether you did or not? Oh my your parents are bundles of energy? No wonder you can run 6-7 miles then come back and do All Body Attack! Man! I’d be a puddle on the floor!

Judy – Enjoy your run!

*Waves to all who follow* Have a great day Cheetahs!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy..I only say that about Vista as I had those issues with my Mom's new PC...I did get started on the taxes and I do believe we will get a nice chunk back. I just want a new weight bench right now. Oh and I am getting an External Hard drive too. Which one did you get? Enjoy your Firepower workout.

Sunny...have fun with your HIIT workout.

Wendi...funny about the 6 miles turning into 7.2...You need a Garmin!...:)..No workouts yet...:(...I just wish the pain would go away a tad faster, seems like I have been injured forever! Nope sweet potatoes were never my thing, but I know lots of people that like them...:)...How nice DSO got you flowers...:D..Good job with 4DS BC and the MM upper split. I have been using MM myself this week.

Jackie...yes, running a bit with my sister and friend was nice. Glad you are able to get rid of stuff in the move.

Shelly...can't wait to see pics from your Dad's 80th! Congrats on being Vegan for a week...:D...I never had much of a problem myself, and I do eat a lot of vegan meals but I also like eggs on occasion and have found it tough to find a good cheese that does not have SOME casein...Glad you will be getting some nights off.

Judy..enjoy your run and upper body workout.

Kath...good job with the 5 miles and shoulder workout. So you have a barking MIL...not fun at all. That is nice DS's college is not real far away. Sorry your friends can't make the Myrtle beach vacation...I bet you and DH will still have a good time.

Christine...good job with HSTA and the KB core workout. No ITR yet. Hope you have a nice rest day. Hopefully Tomasina will let us knw about the half, or can we check ourselves?

Kristi...you might be able to do a search online for some knee exercises. Also check out the injury section in runnersworld.com. I signed up for the Nike half also.

Dallas...we have coyotes around here too. I hear them at night once in awhile, it is such a strange thing to hear them...Good job with the 4 miles in 39:30! No ITR yet...Cathe's rack on the blog is a nice one. I think I am opting for the one at Walmart (Gold's Gym Model) that has a rack for squatting.

Wendy...good job with Cool it off. Hopefully you are even less sore today...:)

Yesterday I got my taxes started and hope to get them done by friday or the weekend. I never did get my Amy workouts and have emailed her site. I am planning on MM bi's and tri's, freestlye legs and 40 min on my EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Carole - sorry to hear you haven't gotten your Amy workouts yet! You ordered right when I did, so you should have gotten them as well. Weird. Hope they arrive today!

I had an interesting experience. I ordered a kettlebell workout from Iron Tamer fitness back mid March. I have not gotten it yet, so I wrote, thinking they were on back order or something, asking when I can expect them. I got a phone call from Dave Whitley himself (akin to getting a call from Cathe) explaining that my order had gotten lost and he was instructing his vendor to send mine out rush. He also expressed his sincere apologies. That's customer service!

Good morning ladies!

Shelly - Glad your dad had a wonderful birthday! What a workout for you with Viper and a run! You're tough. Packing hell is a good description. It should be heaven within the next few weeks. Glad I don't have any of those collectors living with me. I'm still collecting boxes. Enjoy your 3 nights off and your workout.

Wendi - Good run even with your mix up. You probably burned some extra calories too. Glad the foot is doing so well.

Kath - Sorry your friends backed out on the trip. I'm sure you will still have plenty of fun.

Christine - Glad you're feeling the burn in your abs. The pic of Anthony makes that move look tough. Enjoy your rest day.

Kristi - Hope you can find a workout that's easy on that knee.

Dallas - We had storms last night. Woke me up several times. Supposed to rain today too. Glad you were able to get some cleaning done. I like being able to return catalog orders to the store too. Can't offer any suggestions on the swimsuit since I have size issues too.

Wendy - Glad some of the soreness is gone. Love Cool It Off Express. I did find some more tile and it was going up yesterday.

Cathy - Glad you found a laptop. May I ask the speed of this one? Have a good day at school. Hope you can get Firepower in today.

Sunny - Have a good HIIT workout!

Judy - Did you have a good run?

Carole - A new weight bench will go nicely in your new workout room. Good luck with the getting the taxes done. Hope those workouts show up soon. It took her about 10 days to replace my Slo Mo dvd's. Enjoy your workout.

Today's workout was Firm Abs with Allison, iTread #13 Sprints, stretching and foam rolling.

Have a wonderful day!

Jackie

Morning Gals!

Cathy ~ What's Cameo? I tried googling it. No luck. I ordered some stuff from VS and it was all the wrong size not long ago. I had to pay to send it all back and re-order. What a pain! I think I get Boston Proper. It's not too old looking is it? I feel like this is a tough age to dress. I don't want to dress too young, but not too old either. You know?

Sunny ~ Congrats on day 1! Keep us posted. I'll have to look at your link.

Wendi ~ Wow, how did you figure that out about VS. That's pretty smart. Let me know when they run a special like that again, ok? :) Your dinner sounded yummy! I wrote down the ingredients for a pumpkin soup. Glad your foot is pain free!

Shelly ~ Thanks re:ASJ. I'm itching to try it. Nice workout plan!

Judy ~ B&G floor always gets me. }(

Christine ~ WOW! That has to be hard. I can see why you have to be so careful. I went ahead an ordered one from LE. I figured I can always return it to the store. I found one that came in a 4. :) I thought of you when I read this article online:

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/a...on-owns-your-favorite-organic-food-brand.aspx

That's discouraging, isn't it? :(

Carole ~ I'd like to see what my time could be with more of a flat run. How much is the Walmart rack? Is that the one Lorie got? Can you do pull ups on it?

Lorie ~ Nice workout room!!! What workout did you decide to do?

Jackie ~ Isn't it frustrating! I hate swim suit shopping. That's why I decided to start earlier this year. Last night the winds were so strong. Do you do a foam rolling DVD? Did I ask that already?

Hi to all who follow!

Oh, I'm doing ITR and some of H/L KO and B&G standing, then off to Trader Joe's. I just couldn't get out of bed this AM.

ETA: typos! :(

today's workout was MIC in my new space. it was so nice to have all the room i needed!!!

judy-i can also send you the spreadsheets theresa made for NROl if you want

kristi-how's that knee feeling?

wt-yes, i am absolutely LOVING my "sanctuary." i feel badly because i won't let the pups in and they just sit at the gate and watch me. i feel guilty but i need a space of my own.

christine-i decided on BM2 to break it in. i think that was a good one. today was MIC. i love, love, love my space!!! going down there to work out is like christmas! enjoy your rest day!

wendy-as long as you have something that you have been used to drinking, you'll be fine.

carole-good luck finishing those taxes. no fun!

jackie-it was BM2 yesterday!

shelly-glad to hear your dad's bday was fun! yeah for your three days off!!! enjoy!

wendi-the fair was a lot of fun! we had horse rescue ther eand they brought a big mare and a miniature horse. too cute!!!

kath-lol about not being able to wait until the kids get out!

KRISTI-DID WE GET PICKED?!?!?!

dallas-funny about dd and her friends doing itr!!!

sunny-enjoy that HIIT!!!

alright, off to work!

Morning Cheetahs :) :)

I knocked 2minutes off my time. Wasn't sure how I would do since I did 5miles yesterday and the track tends to get boring. But I loaded new music --maybe that helped :) I also did GIANT sets for biceps and did some core work.

I think someone asked what runing program I am following..I went to runnersworld and logged in some numbers and smartcoach gave me a plan. This works for me cause it's like someone is EXPECTING me to log these miles. I guess keeps me honest :)

I'm getting excited about vacation :) I hope it's warm and sunny. I plan on working out in the morning and planting my sorry a$$ on the beach with a good book :) We do some nightlife at night. DD wants to find her prom dress there. That's always fun :) I think Hootie and the blowfish are playing there. DD said she wouldn't mind seeing them-- so maybe I can get some tickets for that. DH mostly golfs. Tees off early and is usually back at 1 or 2. Still plenty of beach time left in the day :)

Ok I have a few errands to run. I'll be back when I'm inhaling my salad. Can you tell I like salads ? :)

Have a great Tuesday :)

Happy April Fools day!

I’m home from work today with DD17 and DS 15 – both lil’ sickies. DS15 has stomach flu and DD17 more than likely has strep throat and has an appointment with the doctor this afternoon. Her fever got up to 103 last night and I took a peek at her throat with the flashlight and sure enough the little white spots are present. She also has an extremely painful sore throat and headache. Nowadays the kids are old enough that I usually don’t stay home when they’re sick but DD is pretty ill and I absolutely do not want her driving herself down the freeway to the doctor today. Besides, I’ll need to take a doctor’s note to her employer and school and then gather up homework assignments; all too much for a sickly high-fevered kid to be expected to do alone.

I’d like to get in a run though today, so if I can manage a treadmill run here at home without disturbing my convalescing patients, then I’ll shoot for an itread with Grace and maybe some BOSU ab work.

ATTN: NIKE RUNNERS – um, I’m still waiting for the email to come if we got picked or not. I believe I am the cheetah that started the “group” sign up so me thinks I’ll get the email. But regardless if we signed up as a group, we all may get emails letting us know because they’re gonna charge our CC’s separately. Anyhoo, my email is routed to my blackberry as well so as soon as they send the news, I’ll get on here and post what I know.

Be back for personals after I check on my sickly kids and do a few things….

Have a good day, Cheetahs!

Posh…..

WELL Hmmmpppppffff! I went to the Nike website to the link posted to enter names to check if selected.... I entered my first and last name and it indicates not selected.x( :( Ya know, I think it stinks a bit on their part to give past participants priority, decreasing the chances for new participants, and that sort of turned me off in the first place... but now I'm really turned off on the whole Nike Marathon and their selection process. Also, "they" try to entice you to sign-up with Team in Training now as the "only way to get in now" which sort of bothers me as well - seems like a scam in a way to get people to fundraise for LLS. Which I've done several times and don't want to cop an attitude at TNT over it. OK, is it obvious from this rant that I have PMS ? LOL -

Oh well, I'm off to see if there's spots open for the Las Vegas half - forget SF! LOL

Good Afternoon Cheetah Girls!

I was up at 6:30 this morning but couldn't post cause our power went out. I was ticked. Up and ready for coffee and the Cathe forums and I couldn't have either one!x( So what's a girl to do in a case like that? Well, I'll tell ya!:p I pulled out our portable DVD player in hopes that it was charged. Thankfully it was so I did Rockin' Body's Disco Groove work out. I almost went blind trying to squint at the tiny little 7" screen in a pretty dark room but I managed. LOL The work out was just long enough that by the time I got cleaned up and got DS ready it was time to head out. You KNOW I stopped for a cuppa java on the way into work though!:9

This afternoon I'm doing Cardio Sculpt to get in some upper body and then another 30 minute stretching/yoga session. My legs are definately on the mend. My knees were fine this morning. Now it's just my hips and thighs that are sore. :)

Well, let me get to my work out. I'll be back when I'm done for personals.

Later chicas!:)

Hey Cheetahs! I'm posting late. Work is pretty busy today so this will need to be quick. Tomorrow I should have more free time. DS and I are going to hang out together all day. I'm sure while he is watching one of his movies I will be able to login and chat with everyone and do some major catching up.

Posh - That does stink that we were not chosen and they still try to recruit through TNT. :( We will need to come up with another wonderful cheetah GTG HM destination. :) Hopefully far enough out that my knee has healed so I can actually run it with everyone.

I'm bummed that our group was not chosen. I was really looking forward to meeting Posh, Christine, Lorie, and Carole. (I think that was all that signed up for the Nike HM.) Well, I guess now I have a lot of free time to rehabilitate my knee and be ready for the next possible GTG.

Sorry this is short. I'll see you all tomorrow I promise.

Quick check in to say I'm bummed, too! We should think of a more centrally located GTG. What about Chicago? There's a pretty enough half in September - maybe then Shelly and Wendy can participate?

http://www.chicagohalfmarathon.com/

You run along Lake Shore Drive - the city on one side and the lake on the other. Chicago is gorgeous! And easy to get to for everyone.

YES!!!!! CHristine, this is so weird I just invited some other friends I made on this site to come here AUg 10!!!! YEs!!! Yes!! Yes!!! Please come and run with me. That would be so much fun. Of course, I need to get up to speed with you gals! I was just waiting in my car for DD and found something I must have shoved in the visor. It's Team in Training for Leukemia/Lymphoma. My dear sister is in remission from lymphoma. That would make it even more special raising money for it.

Oh, I got ITR w/B&G (standing) immediately following. I still have abs to do, so maybe I can work on H/L KO choreography then. I still burned some nice calories w/ITR!

I have to go check the stove before I burn the house down. I'll try and come back! My in laws are coming for dinner for DD's actual b-day....celebration continues!
