::: CHEETAHS ::: turn it up Tuesday

My work out is done, I'm showered and on my way to get dinner ready. DH is grilling steak and chicken so I have it easy tonight with just a few sides to take care of. :D

So I did this stretching/yoga vid from Beach Body that I just got. It's got some funky Hawiian name to it that means "Awaken the Body". Anyway, I really enjoyed it. Tony is the instructor. He is alone on a beach in Hawaii. You can imagine what I was thinking while I was watching him!;) }( :7 I did Cardio Sculpt as planned but also added on TJ Ab Jam standing portion only at the last minute.

I think for tomorrow's work out I will try out the Rockin' Body L/B and Abs work outs I have and perhaps add on the laying portion of Ab Jam at the end. }(

If I am feeling up to snuff at the end of the week I want to do either Mint Condition or Muscle Endurance again but I want to make sure my legs can take the torture!LOL They could handle MC w/o the added weight for the leg work but if I'm gonna do it I want to make it TOUGH, you know? }(

I read that the Nike hopefulls did not get in. That stinks. I'm sorry it didn't happen for you girls. I know how excited you were at the thought of it. :-(

A Chicago half in mid September this year? Hmmmm...perhaps I could swing it. The biggest issues would be the cost of the trip as well as finding child care while I am away. I am running the 18 miler with Shelly in mid October which worried me at first but I guess the Chicago half would actually be a good "warm up" for it, ey? }( If it's really something that some of you would like to try to do I will see if I can swing it!!!!:7

Cathy: You had mentioned a trip to Chicago! Perhaps this is your chance! Would you possibly be game for this or is September not gonna happen for you?

Alrighty...off to do dinner. Be back later for personals!:)

Hola, ladies!

I’ve been a bad cheetah. I opted for Coronapower rather than Firepower this evening. }( Couldn’t turn down the invite to kick back (must be a rebellion from all the mental workouts I've been doing lately), but I seriously must get my groove back now! Am taking a quick break from grading to catch up on personals:

Wendi :: Yeah, the portfolio scores get combined with the assessment center scores, so it’s one score report that I’ll receive late in November. I think I'll be happy to forget about it for awhile...So glad to hear your foot is being good to you.

Shelly :: hope you have a productive three day stretch. I find it hard to imagine ANYONE running circles around YOU! :)

Judy :: see above post to Wendi re: the scores. Hope you enjoyed your workout today.

Christine :: Chicago would be awesome. Let’s explore this idea, shall we?...Wow, that is some great customer service. Glad your kb workout is on the way. Haven’t heard of that one. Am I not the worst blowing off Anthony yet again?? *hangs head in shame* ;) :)

Carole :: I do remember you saying Vista was a bit of an issue. I bought a Maxtor 500 gig HD. Hear anything about your ITR workouts?

Jackie :: I bought a Toshiba Satellite A215-S6820. Here is a link on Amazon. I paid less. Anyway, the processor is a 2.2 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 processor. Also has a 300 GB hard drive and 3 GB RAM (4 GB max). http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Satellite-A215-S6820-Processor-Premium/dp/B00118E614

Dallas :: Cameo is a swimwear store found in Jersey & PA. They must not have any shops elsewhere. I agree about VS. Hesitate to order from them anymore. No, Boston Proper is not old-looking at all. Very much like VS. I do agree with your observations about clothes shopping. I went into Boscov’s, a store I’m not that crazy about in the first place, and they had two speeds for women: barely-there juniors and then elastic-waist grandma.

WT :: glad you are lovin’ the space!

Kath :: your trip sounds like heaven…take me with you!!!!! I will pass out on the beach & not get in anyone's way! :7 Yeah, you are good about eating your BAS. :7

Posh :: sending get well vibes to the kiddos. Sorry the cheetah squad wasn’t one of the lucky ones. :(

Wendy :: sorry about the loss of power…what a double whammy for the morning!...Glad your legs are on the mend. Oh yeah, I am definitely interested in Chicago—just wanna make sure it’s not near BF’s due date. Didn’t get a chance to scope out the link yet. Will do.

Kristi :: enjoy your day with DS.

BTW...did anyone see Pat Sajak take his wig off?

Cathy: Corona-power sounds good to me!!! I'm sitting here drinking a Barcardi Silver Raz to get ready to battle DH in guitar hero. For some reason I play bunch better with a drink or 2 under my belt!:7
OMG it would be so awesome if a bunch of Cheetahs can gtg for the Chicago half even if we all don't run it! I'd love to be able to fly in earlier on friday and leave on monday afternoon. That would give us fri night/saturday to hang out before the half on Sunday! :)

Okay, GTG...Guitar Hero is calling!:7

BBL for the rest of the personals!:)

>;( :( Can't make the Chicago 1/2 in Sept. as I'm already
>signed up for the Maui 1/2 on Sept. 14th....

Well hotdamn Posh...Maui sounds a heck of alot better then Chicago does!!!! Too bad it's so darned far away from us east coasters! How the heck did you wind up signing up for that one of all races!?! I'm incredibly jealous!!!!}( }( }(

Hi ladies!

Well, not as late as I had thought so I figured I'd stop in.

Shelly - The guys at the firehouse must be excited to get their new toy...what a fantastic idea! I hope you had a good run and All Body Attack was good to you }(.

Judy - Oooh, that B&G premix is a toughie!

Christine - Hey, you lied! You said you did a standard weight workout but you just fessed up to using your KBs for HSTA...bad girl :p ;)!!! Oh yeah, horse people are unbelievable...the stories I could tell you ! I made Curried Butternut Squash Soup last night...one of my absolute favorite concoctions. I sautee up some chopped apples with cinnamon and allspice and add them to 2 boxes of b'nut squash soup (basically just pureed squash), add 1 squash, cubed and roasted with herbs de provence, salt and pepper. Into all that goes a little dark amber maple syrup, curry powder and the secret ingredient...ketchup! Don't laugh...you don't actually taste the ketchup it just gives a bit of a vinegar bite to it to balance the sweetness of the syrup. My DSO *hated* b'nut squash, would not touch it. He just about attacked the fridge today because I told him I made some last night...he loves the stuff!!!

Carole - I'd love a Garmin but I'm definitely eyeing up that pull up tower so I think the Garmin will have to wait ;). I did actually notice that you've been using MM quite a bit lately. It's funny, I had no plans to get it but I figured I'd take advantage of the free shipping from my preorder to try it. I absolutely love the rep patterns in this one! Any word on those workouts?

Jackie - I hope the packing is going well...not a fun project. Did you get the tile snaffu cleared up?

Dallas - It *is* hard to find age appropriate clothing when you're little. Trying to pick through the junior dept can be tricky. I love the stuff in Boston Proper but it's a bit out of my price range. Vicky's stuff seems to fit me the best so I've had to get "creative" about how to use their promos and what can and can't be combined with what. I'll give you the heads up in the future. Mmmmmm, pumpkin soup sounds delish!

Lorie - Oh, how cute...the minis are adorable, aren't they! WTG with MIC! Hmmmm, I should probably dust that one off soon....

Kath - Great run...wtg shaving off two minutes. Oh, your vacay sounds heavenly!!!!

Posh - I'm sorry you guys didn't get picked :(. IA with you that preferential treatment should not be given to previous entrants. Come on, let someone else have a shot. {{{HUGS}}}} to your sicklies! Maui HM??? WOW, nice!!!

Wendy - It's a good thing you've got that little portable player...I would be SOL without power, or cafe! I hope that last little bit of soreness fades soon. Oooh, nice "workout" this afternoon }( :p.

Kristi - So sorry you guys didn't get into SF. I know you'll be more than ready when the GTG finally happens.

Cathy - Oh, you more than deserve some Coronapower. Your workouts will be there for you when you're up to attcking them once again. You need a little let down right now! LOL about Pat taking his wig off...when did this happen???

Alrighty, must get to bed. I think I have Low Max on the agenda for tomorrow but I'm not completely sure. If I'm not feeling that one I'll probably sub in SB or something (maybe MIC ;) ). Hasta manana!

Hmmm, wondering why this flyer I got in the mail says Aug. I'll have to look at it more closely. I see that it's Sept 14 on the Internet for the Chicago 1/2.

Well, I have to review/study so no abs tonight. :( I'd much rather do that.

.....or Corona-power. :7 LOL Cathy! I bet that makes grading much nicer. ;-) lol'd about the elastic grandma waist comment. Oh boy, no way ready for that!!!! :p I remember a year I went looking for shorts (last or the year before) and I really did l-o-l to the salesclerk when I said where's the rest of the short. :+ I'm so happy for you that you met your deadline! What a relief!

Lorie ~ Yeah those crazy kids. They always want to do my Cathe videos when they come over. :7 I'd imagine it would be tough to work out with the dogs in your space too. My kids all take a piece of equipment, however they usually don't last that long.

Christine ~ Re: ITR - I was having leg issues w/combo 4 the most. I love interval #4! I'll keep working on combo #4.

Kristi ~ Enjoy your day off.

Kath ~ When do you leave?

Posh ~ Hope your kids are feeling a bit better. Well, I'd pick Maui over Chicago! :7

Wendy ~ Have fun w/GH. Funny about Tony and the Hawaii workout. Can you buy it separately? Is it like Yoga X? Working out in the dark...have you gone mad woman!!??! :)

I have to tell you between the PP w/P90X-CST (M) and my workouts today, I think I'll have DOMS just about everywhere. }( I'm supposed to do the stairs tomorrow. I watched AI w/the family. Wow - Michael Johns is awesome! Easy on the eyes to boot! }( I like David Cook as well.

Oh shoot, I better get crack-a-lackin.
