Cathlete
Good morning, cheetahs :)

Today's plan is Plyo + Fluidity.

The countdown to spring break is ON! It is Spirit Week at my school, so the kids are especially fired up. Today is "Crazy Hair Day." I have a pink punk rock mullet wig I'll be donning... :p

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

~Cathy :)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Cathy, So did you have fun this weekend? Where did your surprise weekend land you? I read about your progress and I have to say WOO HOO! CONGRATS! That is soooo awesome! Keep it up!!!!:+ :+ :+ So your doc was able to change your med dose? Good. I'm glad he could and I'm glad you are feeling better for it. So pick a Sunday in April girl!}(

I have to do ARX today as I never got to it y'day. I am toying with the idea of actually doing Plyo since today is the official last time it is in the rotation!!! It's been ages since I've done it anyway. LOL I am soooo pumped to finish the X! I loved it! It was awesome! But I am sooooo tired and soooooo ready for a change!:)

I was not on the schedule to work today but got the call last night so I'm going in. It's not too bad though as I had them put me on the schedule for only 2 days a week this month instead of 3. It makes it easier for me since I am the one most frequently called to sub as I am the most available.

Okay, have a great morning folks and I'll be back! :7

Oh WOW, how funny Cathy! You really should post a pic of the pink mullet :+

Circuit class went so well again last night. When I teach I usually only have one riser so that there isn't any doubt I can talk and get through the workout. Well, last night a few of them were using two risers because it's only 3.5 minutes of step and 1.5 minutes of toning - alternately. So, they peer pressured me into using two and WOW did that step up the workout for me. Whew......

I had one lady give me her goals and what exercise options she has at home (walking path, DVD's, etc.). She wants me to figure out a rotation and plan for her to achieve her goals. I'm so excited....I told her that this will be great for me to put together. I've always wondered if I could do this for someone and hopefully she achieves the goal. I'd love to be a personal trainer so this would be good practice.

Today I will be putting my own training schedule together as well and, of course, that will include the "X". :7 I will be starting out with Shoulders and Arms and ARX.

We just bought a used/new racer four wheeler for DS last night. So, now we each have our own. He's so excited - he's outside taking pictures to bring to school as I write this.

Have a great day everyone!
Marcia.

Greetings Cheetahs :)

Cathy- 1800 calories! and you had fun too!! I am glad the medication adjustment is helping your energy level... Hi fiveon the7.5 inches lost! I'd much rather see inches lost than pounds!

Wendy- I saw yesterday that you are continuing working on the PT materials. Way to stick with it!

Marcia- have fun with the rotation for your student. I love putting together rotations too. But I have gotten much simpler since running.

Carole- Thanks for posting about Aquaphor. Now that I really like running with a HRM (and I chafe any way in the heat) I'll look for it locally.

Emily- I'm not fond of running in windy conditions either.

Yesterday I ran 4 miles and walked .5 (up steep hill to get home) to cool down. My knee bugged me again, but It did not bug me the rest of the day. Perhaps I need new shoes???

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Good morning cheetahs! I'm feeling ready to tackle the world after a fine rest yesterday}( I'm still at work and it's been blissfully slow. After a nap I'll tackle BBC Total Body. It's the one left I havent done yet. Later today will be a 40 minute tempo run:7

Judy- Sounds like a good run yesterday. I hope your knee pain was just a fluke!

Marcia- I'm surprised that you are not a PT! You seem like you'd be a natural for it. That's quite a challenge to teach a step class on 2 risers.... WTG:7

Wendy- Almost to the END of the X!!! I think you should make it a plyo day! Hope all goes well at work for you.

Cathy- I'm so glad your ski trip went well for you! I'm even happier that your medication got adjusted and you'll be feeling like your old self again:) Congratulations on the 7.5 inches lost :7
Fabulous!!! I'm with Marcia-- I want to see a pic of you with that wig!!!

Christine- I hope it works out for you that you get to take home Moose! What happened to the other litter that was coming? Puppy raising and training can be a challenge but I'm sure you'll do fine.
I have two words for that..... crate training!!!! (Obviously I'm a firm believer in it)

Carole- I'm going to check on flights today to see about getting in on Thursday instead of Friday. I think that's a fantastic idea.
It should be no problem to reserve the hotel room an extra day also.
I'll get back with you soon on that.

Karen- Sounds like you're really getting into the workouts on the bike trainer. Great job on the CCs!

Jackie- (LOL about the April fools joke) No I REALLY did take a rest day.... unless you count getting in a stretch max session ;-)
Those BBC TM workouts are something aren't they?

Emily- Great job on getting in the 4.5 miles! I don't blame you a bit for passing on the outside run with the wind. I'd much sooner run in rain than battle the wind.... I hate that!

Time to get busy.... Hopefully I can check back in later today.

ShellyC

Good morning Cheetahs! Today is the last warm beautiful day until after Easter sometime. I think I will enjoy it by running my 4 miler outside.

Work has been so hectic lately. Of course, I've been using some vacation days too so that has made my workload pile up. If all goes well today, I should be back later for personals. I miss talking with you all.

Have a great day!

Hey guys! Things are a bit crazy around here this week. With DFiance's kids here, all 4 kids are in and out of the house all day long...in the dirt, on their bikes, around the neighborhood, HUNGRY! LOL Needless to say, that really limits my time on the PC....oh, because we all fight over that as well! lol

So another quick post for me. Sorry.

This morning, my running schedule called for an easy 6 mile run. The April rotation called for Step Blast plus abs. I decided to sub the easy run with SB and the cardio step portion of SJ&P, then abs from SJ&P. I think that's about equal. Tomorrow and Thursday, though, MUST be the scheduled runs.

I'll TRY to be back sometime today to catch up. If not, have an awesome day. KEEP MOVING!

Gayle

Good Morning,

Cathy, glad you are feeling better. Have fun with spirit week.

Wendy, I am impressed you will finish the X. I tried and couldn't do it.

Marcia, It sounds lik you had a great time with your circuit class. I'll bet your DS will have a great time with his four wheeler.

Judy, glad you got a 4 miler in before you knee started acting up.

ShellyC, its amazing what a rest day can do. It sounds like you don't take them often. Have fun w/BBC and your tempo run.

Kristi, enjoy your run on a warm day. Our last warm day came a week ago, now it's cold/raining and we are suppose to get up to 5 inches of snow.

Gayle, sounds like your life is busy & hectic. Hope you are having good weather so you can send all the kids outside. I love the SB/SJP premixes they are so much fun.

Hi to everybody else.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...no, I think Susan might fly out of SF?...I'll be flying out of Sacramento (2.5 hrs away)I think, I'd rather fly out locally but not sure about the flight back as it would cause me to fly back Monday, and it costs about $150 more! I also use Aquaphor on my lips. Those one arm push-ups are tough. WOW! 1800 cals skiing...sounds like missing th cardio last night was no problem...:)...Have fun with PlyoX and Fluidity....a pink mullet?..Sounds cool!

Wendy...PlyoX is a tough one but I do like it. Yes, your muscles will enjoy lighter weights...

Marcia...sounds like you upped the intensity of your step class well. Enjoy S&A today.

Judy..sometimes knee pain is an indication that you need new shoes. Generally 400-500 miles is about enough for a pair. Aquaphor is really good for chaffing...hope you can find some.

Shelly...BBC FullBody is my least favorite. But I only did it once. Have a good tempo run. I am glad you want to fly in Thursday too...I think it'll be great to have a GTG with Cathy. Thanks, let me know about the room when you get time...:)

Kristi...enjoy the 4 miles in the nice weather.

Gayle..I bet it is hectic with all the kids there! Sounds like you did a good sub today..

Christine...glad the interview is over. I can only imagine how hard it was to relive it again. So when will you know on the pups?

Jackie...I know the foam roller has helped alot.

I am doing BBC Butt & Legs, the Power Circuit segments in BodyMax2 and 30 min on my EXT.

Have a great day..:)

Carole, do you do BBC B&L cardio or just the weight portion? That's an amazing workout you have planned. I have to try that one.

Karen..I always do the weight segments. The cardio in BBC A&Abs kicked my butt. I have done the TM of A&Abs and B&L using my Elliptical. I am staying away from high impact (except for running) because of my piriformis pain. I plan on checking out the other BBC's cardio and TM options.

Good morning everyone!!

Cathy - Your workout sounds like a good mix today. School will be fun this week. Bet the kids love doing crazy things. Are you taking a pic of that pink mullet?

Wendy - Enjoy your workout.

Marcia - Way to ramp up the fun factor with your circuit class. Sounds awesome. Good luck with putting the rotation together.

Judy - Good run! Glad the knee pain didn't stay around.

Shelly - You made me perk up reading your post. Glad you had a good rest day. Have a great run.

Kristi - Did you run outside? Temps are supposed to drop here too by the weekend. It seems to like to do that around Easter.

Gayle - Nice subs for the run. Sounds like the kids are keeping you busy.

Karen - Snow? UGH!!

Carole - Think I'm going to really enjoy the Freestyle rotation. I feel really good this morning.

I did GS Shoulders, 10 pull ups, L&G Ankle Weight and Floorwork premix, 40 walking lunges and Winsor Pilates 20 minute workout. I'm really feeling B&G from yesterday. I ordered bands from Power Systems and used the blue band and WOWSA! I'm feeling it deep in the glutes.

Have a terrific Tuesday!!

Jackie

Mornin' cheetahs!

I'm tired today still, but managed to get up early and do C&W. That's one of my favorites - so much fun! :)

Cathy, we're going to need to see pictures of this pink mullet of yours. ;)

Wendy, I can imagine you must be craving a change after so many weeks of X. What are you going to do next?

Marcia, how cool that you get to come up with a rotation for one of your students.

Judy, it's quite possible you need new shoes. Certainly wouldn't hurt to switch them up and see if it helps the knee pain. How long have you had your current pair?

And I'm glad to see that several of you also despise running in the wind. Now I don't feel like such a wuss! :D

Shelly, have fun with BBC and your tempo run!

Kristi, I completely understand about work being hectic. Ditto. Hope you get a break later!

Gayle, your workout substitution this morning sounds like a good one. I love Step Blast - it's so much fun. :)

Karen, that just isn't even funny that you're going to get snow. Ick! Our weather isn't much better - it's going to get COLD tonight (even though it's 70 right now) and stay cold for days. Drat!

Carole, sounds like you've got a tough workout going today!

Jackie, great workout today! WOW! 10 pullups? Way to go!

Hello ladies,

another fly-by post from me today...you now know my mantra, busy, busy day. lol
yesterday i wound up training 15 clients, which is a record for me. i had two cancellations.

shelly- my sessions are only a half hr. so 16 clients is liking working a regular 8 hr work day.

cathy- welcome back!!!

no more time for personals sorry.

alrighty, i am off to tackle KM today:)

enjoy your day and your workouts!

Hey Ladies!!!:)

My new step platform is on the back of a UPS truck waiting to be delivered to my door as we speak!!! WOOH!:7 I thought about trading in Plyo for an IMAX just so I can use it but they noramlly don't deliver until 2pm or later and I don't want to be forced to wait that long to work out today so we'll see what happens...

Marcia, Glad you decided to join your class and step it up last night with that extra set of risers! That's very "X" like of you!;) }(

Judy, I certainly hope your pains are only the need for new shoes and nothing more. I've heard several mention that lots of times the pains are due to needing new kicks so you could very well be correct!:)

Shelly, Let us know how BBC total body is! I'll be tackling that series soon enough!!!}(

Kristi, Enjoy your run! Sorry work is so hectic now that weather is warming up! Keep taking those vacation days though...to heck with 'em!}( LOL

Gayle, Nice work out today!

Kaykay, It's been tough at times to keep up with the X but I had my mind set to complete it. It also helped, I think, because I varied the cardio and the ab work and added an extra leg routine through phases 2 and 3. I can't wait to finish!!!!

Carole, Great work out planned for today! Enjoy it. Can't wait to meet you in August!!!!

Jackie, That's a great work out you put together today girl! Good for you! Can you do pull ups unassisted??

Emily, You are right-C&W is a fun one. I am planning on doing a BBC rotation for the remainder of April once I finish the X and then I think I will try Cathe's 07 May rotation (depending on what it is-if it's heavy lifting I may opt out) when the time comes!

Sunny, 15 clients!? Phew, I am getting tired just thinking about that! LOL Good for you!

Hey everyone!

Cathy – Welcome back! Hope you had a wonderful time! Wow!!! 1800 calories ! That is a lot and you had fun while doing it too! That is my kind of exercise! LOL….I can picture the pink wig!

Wendy – Congratulations on the step!! Don’t ya love getting goodies like that delivered! But….which will it be….???? An Imax…..or Plyo? LOL

Marcia – That is awesome that you get plan out a program for someone else! You class sounds so good! It is amazing what one little riser can do for upping the intensity!

Judy – Good job on the run! But sorry your knees were bothering you! It very well could be your shoes.

Shelly – Enjoy BBC and your run! Glad you had a relatively slow night at work! I wish it would slow down some here!

Kristi – It is going to be our last warm day too! Are you guys supposed to get snow later in the week, too? We are supposed to get really bad thunderstorms tonight….then starting Thursday….snow! We usually get what you guys get after you…..so I figured you were getting the same ;)

Gail – Enjoy your workout! Sounds fun! I can just imagine how hectic it would be right now at your house with all 4 kiddies!

Christine – Good luck with getting the puppy! I hope it all turns out well for you! LOL….yes….I can relate with the “puppy” stage again! It was kind of a shock to mine and DH’s system when Madison christened us with puppyhood! We were used to a well behaved 13 year old! I remember just telling myself over and over that she wasn’t Morgan…and it would take time…..Lord have mercy….how much time?? Just kidding! They are sooo full of energy and love!

Karen – We are supposed to get snow, too…but I don’t think were will get any accumulation! Ours won’t come until Thursday, though….I think??

Carole – That sounds like a great workout! I am already missing BBC. But…I must do P90X…..I must do P90X…..

Jackie – That sounds like a great workout, too! I can’t do “real” pullups. I have to throw my bands over my pullup bar and do them that way….or assisted with a chair or stability ball. I love doing walking lunges! I think they are sooo effective!

Emily – I love C&W! I haven’t done that one forever! I see where you ran the Disney Marathon! That is awesome! I would love to run it one day!!

Sunny – You amaze me! That is a lot of clients! Enjoy KickMax!!

This morning I ran 7.25 miles on the treadmill and did Floorwork from Firm Vol I. LOL…I know, I know…..I didn’t do P90X. But I missed my long run this weekend and just did 5 on Saturday….so that is my excuse! I plan on it tomorrow!

Hi to everyone and hope everyone has a great day!

Linda

Hiya cheetahs!

Well, I finished the BBC total body workout. That was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It'll be a great one to take with me travelling (except of course on the Cathe roadtrip;-) ) All and all I've really enjoyed the challenge and variety of this workout series.

Kristi- hey busy girl! Hope you get in a great outdoor run today.

Gayle- I'd say those step routines are a fine substitute for a 6 mile run!!

Karen- Actually I do take a rest day once a week but it's usually what I call a "sort of" rest day ;-) I'll do abs/stretch or yoga
or pure strength, no cardio. I rarely take an actual complete rest day. Too much nervous energy I guess! Is this a rest day for you?
You didn't mention any workouts, or maybe I missed it.

Carole- The fee for changing my flight to a day earlier isn't bad so I think I'd like to go for it. What time approximately will you and Susan be arriving? Right now the flight I have in mind has me arriving around 3pm Philly time.
You have a leg killin workout today

Jackie- You can do 10 unassisted pullups?  Okay, I am mega jealous!!! Okay, where's that pull up bar.... I gotta practice!

Emily- C&W is a great workout to do on those tired days! FUN FUN

Wendy- You're doing a BBC rotation after the X??? wooohooo girl you are gonna be ripped!

Linda- Awesome TM run!!

Okay, cheetahs, time to grab some chow! Later

ShellyC

Hi all!

Was lazy this morning and just sat around, but I did get in a good spin workout at the gym this afternoon. The interview yesterday went well. The article will be published Wednesday or Thursday, so I’ll provide a link to all interested. It was hard, but worth it to have my buddy memorialized like that.

Cathy – YES! A photo of you and the pink mullet is a MUST!! :+ When is spring break? Ours is April 14 through the 22. DD14 is going on a school trip to New York City to visit Broadway! I’m so excited for her. Wish I were going! What are you planning?

Wendy – you’re sooo close to the end with “X”! How cool is that? I say do Plyo X – I enjoy it, and will pull it out every now and again even while not on the rotation.

Marcia – yeah, my HR goes up by as much as 10 bpm when I up the step height, so I can absolutely understand that you really felt it! I think you should go for being a personal trainer! Sounds like you’d do great!

Judy – shoes could definitely cause that, especially if they are wearing unevenly. Hopefully you get it figured out soon!

*Puts on shades at Shelly’s vibrant glow* - You’re too funny girl! I can imagine you bouncing out of your skin this morning! I’m really not worried about Moose not working out as I have so many irons in the fire, and I’m actually thinking a pup of about 5 months might work better. We’ll see. And YES, I am also a firm advocate of crate training. Without it, your house is a target! I’m also going to be signing us up for puppy classes immediately. Even though I know how to train, I like the formal class as a refresher and as a way to socialize the little guy to both people and other puppies.

Kristi – darned if you do, darned if you don’t – eh? Vacation time is wonderful, but it causes backloads at work that make you need another vacation… Hope your run was wonderful, especially with the icky weather coming your way!

Gayle – hey – did you ever receive my check? Sounds like you’re having a grand time with everyone! I can absolutely understand the need to keep your posts brief!

Karen – hi! What workout did you do today?

Carole – Still wanting BCC… *grrr* :p I’ll know on the pups by tomorrow evening. As I told Shelly – no stress. There are other litters. We’ll figure it out. And besides DH is totally stressed over the taxes, so he wasn’t thrilled at shelling out a boatload of money for a puppy right now anyway.

Jackie – love it when I feel it deep in the glutes!! Yea for you!! Sounds like quite the workout you got there!

Emily – oh if I see the trees moving too much, I don’t run outside. I HATE running in the rain. Hope it doesn’t get too cold for you! We’re supposed to get cooler here too!

Sunny – 15 eh? WOW! Full time job there! Sounds like you’re enjoying it!

Linda – what did you do the first few days you had Madison? I know you work. How did you handle that? Sounds like you got in a great workout!

Just got the news that another dog I had been inquiring about had her puppies! And my blue boy is there as well! So, maybe that’s why Moose didn’t workout. She had 6 puppies – 2 black tri girls, 1 red merle boy, 1 blue merle boy and 2 black tri boys. They sound so cute…

Sorry for not posting a workout. I got caught up in all the chatter and forgot. I did All Body Attack. I really struggle with circuit workouts, the tire me out more than anything else. Some friends called and asked to go for lunch, which turned into picking up the kids and getting a few things at Walmart. Now it's supper. I'll try to get back and do personals in a while.

Hey Ladies.

At about 1:30 I was uber sleepy and not motivated to do my work out so I decided to take a "cat nap" first. I figured the UPS guy would come at just about 2pm and wake me up with my "gift" and at that point I would get up and work out. So I laid down on the couch and off to dreamland I went. I wake up and it's friggin 2:30!!!! No UPS guy in sight and I STILL haven't worked out! EEEK! Well, I putzed around completely void of motivation for a work out. I made some coffee and sat down at the PC and about 15 minutes later the UPS guy FINALLY arrived! With that I suddenly had all of this motivation to work out and guess what!? I changed into my work out clothes and did PLYO!!! I didn't even give in to temptation and do Imax so that I could use the new platform! I'm so pround of me!:p :7 :7 :7 I did HSC abs instead of ARX...I needed a change and was short on time anyway since I started so late. :)

Linda, Linda, Linda: Girl, I can't believe you dissed the X today! What were you thinking!?!? :p Good job on the run though!:+

Shelly: I can only DREAM of being "ripped"! Muscular, defined, in good shape?...Yeah, ok...but ripped? NOT! LOL :p :7 So you thought the full body work out from BBC was tough? Good to hear. I KNOW it's a good work out then!}(

Christine: Glad you had a good spin class. I'll probably take spin again on thursday. I hope this new puppy you are eyeing works out for you. How is your DH feeling these days?

Kaykay: Who puts out All Body Attack? Is this another dvd work out that I am going to want!?!? }( }( }( What's for dinner? Can I come over? }( :9 :7 ;)

Okay, I am going to take the lil' dude outside for a bit. I still have a handful of the multiple choice questions to answers on my PT exam so I will work on that while he plays with the dog I think. :+ DH is working O/T so I am not cooking tonight. :p

I'll be back!
