Hey cheetahs
The track meet was cancelled, but I wound up staying late to finish entering my grades, so I did wind up keeping today as a rest day. Just came back to catch up with my girls…
Wendy :: I don’t really mind CS. What gives it the dread factor for you?…AWESOME pics!! I definitely see the difference in your arms, abs, and even your face. The X rules!
Marcia :: don’t feel bad…I have days where I veer off track, too…for example, yesterday all I wanted to do was eat!!!…I didn’t go off the deep end, but still…some days, it’s a real battle. I would try to do the Classic Rotation and make it work with your teaching schedule. You might have to jumble up your days, but what if you subbed the step and circuit classes for Kenpo and Plyo? And BTW, vent anytime!!
Judy :: yeah, it was surprising how different areas were hit by the storm. The county where I teach was hit hard and had flooding problems, so school was cancelled, but the area where I live and where my other teacher friends work fared OK…I don’t dread Core Syn, but it *is* challenging. I think you *gotta* get the X!!!…In my experience, decreased running does set you back some, but if you incorporate some speedwork once you have re-established a good base, you will make some gains.
Laura :: good to hear from you…glad things are progressing well with the home-building…the pool workouts sound awesome…I say do the best you can to work out when you can, and don’t beat yourself up if you have to scale it back some. As long as you are staying active, sometimes that’s the best you can shoot for when life gets hectic!
Gayle :: What? Cowboys? No Eagles?
*spoken by someone who is completely ignorant about football*
Christine :: I feel like I can picture little Jimmy doing all those things – I like dogs fine enough but don’t usually go nuts over them, especially ones whom I’ve never actually met
but there is something about your pup that I just adore…DD14’s trip sounds fabulous!…Sounds like going back to the vitamins would be a good idea…I’ve never supervised a track meet – I think it would involve operating a stopwatch or raking the long jump pit or something – but it’s a paid position, like the dance chaperoning, so I can’t – and wouldn’t – complain. It’s a good little gig for some extra dough.
Carole :: I was so moved watching DJ play hockey, seeing such young kids being so strong and not letting their physical limitations stop them from living life to the fullest. And I saw a lot of what you described – players helping each other – it’s so refreshing from watching cutthroat competition…I’m glad John is involved in something so positive. The pic is great! He looks really strong & fit.
Jackie :: *lol* No, I wouldn’t have been able to sneak in a run at the meet…what, and allow those little 13-year-olds to lap me???
Rock on w/ all those pullups, woman!
Kristi :: OMG, sounds awful! I hope Annemarie’s eardrum didn’t rupture…keep us posted!…WOW on running 10 miles even though you’re sick. You are one tough mama! Hang in there.
Susan :: what happened with your friend? I hope she’s OK…how scary. Glad you enjoyed another good workout!
Shelly :: Woo hoo on the strong 14-miler! Sounds like a fantastic run. Smiled at the thought of you hopping on the hog! Hope you enjoyed DM…it’s been ages since I’ve done that one.
OK, it's 10 pm on a school night, which means I'll be turning into a pumpkin soon. Have a great night, ladies!
