Good morning, cheetahs :)

If weather permits, I am supervising a track meet after school today, which means I won’t get home til 6:30-7ish. If that’s the case, I’ll most likely be making today my rest day for the week. However, if the meet’s cancelled, it’ll be Core Syn.

Not too many personals to catch up with…

Christine :: I checked out the pages for Jimmy, Tucker, and Kimo, too…such great pictures!! Glad DD made it safely to NY. How long is she there for?

Wendy :: great job getting in a late run despite the headache!!!…I think yesterday’s weather gave me a case of the blahs ~ I was glad to be in a recovery week.

Heather :: hope your throat’s feeling better today.

Have a great day, everyone!

~Cathy :)

Good Morning Cheetah Babes. :)

Cathy: Have fun at the track meet if you go. Core syn, ey? Better you then me, girl! ;) :p :7

I have BBC Butt and Legs weights only on tap for today. I have no cardio planned at this point but you never know what will happen!;) :7

Hey gang: My meeting went until 9:30PM, not too bad, but I didn't sleep very well - thinking about the meeting and all the arguing/fighting, UGH you would've thought they were kids instead of adults. I'm soooooooooooo burnt out with this job!!

I'm starting the Lean P90X Rotation today, so I'm with you Cathy Core Syng later after work. I wanted to get it done this morning, but I need to wake up and don't have time. I will have time after work, though, so I will get it done.

I'll try to get back later.
Marcia.

Hi Cheetahs!

Cathy- What are the cahnces of the track being usable after all the bad weather? Sam had a lacrosse game scheduled today but we still have snow here. It is funny though, 15 miles north where my in laws live, they only got rain. We got at least 6 inches of snow.

Ok Cheetahs why dread Core Syn??? I am now just too curious. What is it? Perhaps I am theonly perswon left hee who knows nothein about the p90X and it's workouts.

Wendy- I almost always will use a Cardio Coach on the TM to make the time go by faster. THe problem is I think I am faster than I am and probably push myself to much. I usually have and average HR of 170s-180 and a Max HR of 190. Perhaps the break from runing really set me back?

I didn't get my run in yesterday. Instead I did a(floor and ab) premix of B&G. I didn't realize that most (of the leg) exercises were repeated twice!

Carole- John seems to have had a positive experience. And your going to support him was really special! :)

Christine- Jimmy is sounding cuter and cuter every day! And your 14 DD on a trip to NY? Yikes that is far! How many kids went? Is it a school trip?

So, this morning will be the TM followed by GS C&T (I'll do the 32" premix)

I am missing my running friends, but this weather and my need to slow down isn't working out with hooking up with them. :(

Ok got to get the kids moving so thay have time for breakfast!

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Hi,

just in for a quick hello. We have been really busy with our current home, getting thing done around here to put it up on the market and we had to go pick out colors of counter tops, our flooring etc... for the new home and plus the kids are all in acitivities . So we have been really busy. We are busy at work, and still working shorthanded so I have been working over time also. I havent gotten in all my workouts the last few weeks but having to teach bootcamp makes me at least have to a couple days a week plus at work I am doing the pool patients in the afternoons 2 days a week so I have been taking advantage of that and working my legs in the deep end do deep water running etc... I tell ya that really works your legs more than you would think. anyway, wanted to say hi to you all and I will be in and out just because of how crazy things are right now but I will be thinking of you all.Bye!

Hi everybody. I'm with Laura....very busy with home and kids' lives. Not complaining....just busy!

Judy-you're not alone on the Core Syn question! LOL. I owned P90X for aobut 45 days before I decided it wasn't for me and I never got to see Core Syn! LOL

Christine-I checked out the pics also! CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!!! Give all those pups a huge hug for me!

OK...quick post. sorry. I've been busy with the boys' rooms. I moved and bunked their beds in the spare room. I cleared out older DS' room of all his stuff. Yesterday we went and he picked out his colors....we're doing a Dallas Cowboys theme. This week consists of wiping down all the walls and baseboards, then taping it all off. Then painting. I'm hoping to have it done for him by the end of the weekend. Then....onto younger DS' room. He wants all kinds of wacky colors! LOL. Add all that to the normal house stuff AND baseball AND TBall, and you've got one CRAZY CHEETAH! LOL

This morning. I literally had to YELL at myself to get my big ol' butt out of bed. FINALLY, after a full hour of fighting myself, I dragged myself to the TM and pelted out 6 miles. Glad I did, cuz I've been a slug for 5 days now. MUST STOP!

BBL, I promise, even if it's just to read to catch up!

Gayle

*Shuffles in wearing flannel pj’s and warm fuzzy slippers holding a cup of tea, one eye barely open.* Hmpf, Cheetahs….

Mr. Jimmy is showing that he’s a real baby and is keeping me awake at night. DD17 went to bed at 1:30AM and Jimmy woke up, wondering what was going on. Then he get restless and wouldn’t settle. He played with his water bowl, then his Rhino (squeak, squeak), then he finally settled down. At least he’s getting settled and feeling secure. He was really playing last night – what a goofball. I guess I’ll have to work harder at wearing him out.

DD14 is in New York City through Friday. They will be seeing 5 Broadway shows, and even go back stage and meet the cast from “Legally Blonde”. They will also attend Broadway workshops, and just do a few other things – like visit Central Park – but it’s mainly to see Broadway. She’s a “Drama Queen” – literally. I would have loved to go with her!!

Today will be a Spinervals workout. Enjoyed a wonderful salad from Whole Foods yesterday – Strawberries and Goat Cheese. YUM! Had it with a small leftover steak – it was incredible! I actually did well yesterday, but I’ve stopped taking vitamins, and I’m not sure that that’s a good move – I’m feeling very sluggish and tired lately. I know depression can do that and I have been depressed with the loss of Tucker, but I got a thigh cramp last night – a small one, thank heavens – so I took a calcium magnesium tablet today. Hope that helps.

Cathy – Hope you get to do what you want tonight. I think a track meet would be fun, but if you do it a lot, I can understand not wanting to. How’s the weather today?

Wendy – Have fun with BBC Butt and Legs!

Marcia – Enjoy Core Syng! I actually like that one – tough, but fun. I don’t understand Adults who act like children, either.

Judy – I’m sorry you’re missing your friends. I hope the weather starts to cooperate with you more! Yeah, DD14 is far away, and I’ll be worried sick all week, but it’s such a great experience that I couldn’t say no. Especially after the V Tech incident yesterday, I’m really missing her and want to hug her hard. And Core Synergistics is a functional fitness circuit workout that is TOUGH and works every part of your core in all sorts of different ways. It’s hard but you feel so good when you’re done.

Laura – glad you checked in! Sounds like a busy life you have! How soon until the new house is ready? How fun to pick out all the stuff for the new house!

Gayle – See different workouts for different people! I know a lot of people like the TLT’s but they are not my cup of tea, so that’s fine. Wow – sounds like you have your hands full! How are the boys doing bunking together? I gave Jimmy a squeeze for you as he’s beside me on the sofa snoozing – like he didn’t do at night! Go figure…

Have a fabulous day Cheetahs!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy..the reps in BBC L&B do go on forever! In the Wheelchair B-Ball when one of the guys tips over in his chair (and they are strapped in) the other players help them up, if they cannot get up on their own. Enjoy your rest day today.

Marcia..have fun with Core Syn...it works the core very well.

Judy...I believe John had a very good experience playing B-Ball this last weekend. I do hope he continues. Enjoy GS C&T and the TM workout.

Laura...thanks for the update and "Hi" back!!

Gayle...good job on the TM run. I think we all have some sluggish days.

Christine....sounds like you are enjoying Jimmy. Puppies are just so fun. Hearing him howl would be a kick...:)..Say "hi" back to Jimmy for me and it is definitely a date to come run trails with him in the future! So glad DD14 got the her destination safely, and sounds like she is having a ball. That dogster site was cute. I think puppies can have some restless nights in the beginning. I am sure Jimmy will settle down soon...sorry about the depression (I do know that feeling), enjoy your Spinerval workout.

Susan...I hope things went well with your friends Mammogram.

Shelly...I ran a marathon once in the wind and rain...it really makes it tough. I have a friend thru church that ran Boston yesterday. She did a 3:54, which is very impressive to me under those conditions! I don't know how John feels about doing a wheelchair marathon. Hope your 14 miler went well.

Jess...sounds like you and your DH are enjoying P90X!

Wendy..I think John had a great time playing B-ball. So you added chin-ups to BBC Arms & Abs!! Wow!!...way to go...:)..Glad you got the PM thing figured out.

Heather...I hope your cold is better this morning. Good job with the B&G premix.

I am doing GS Legs standing, abs and an iClimb on my EXT.

Here is a picture of John shooting a free throw:

Good morning everyone!

Carole - Glad you had a great time in Reno. Congratulations to John!! So, how did he feel afterwards?

Christine - Glad dd had a safe flight? Sounds like a fun trip planned out for them. Love the doggie pics!

Susan - Glad your friend had you there to lend support to her. Know that meant a lot to her. Praying that everything went well.

Shelly - Cold in AZ? I keep saying I'm ready for spring to come back. Yeah, I'll have to search out some hills somewhere. How did the run go?

Jess - Sounds like you're enjoying P90X so far. Glad to hear Kiersten is feeling much better. Must be if she's up to doing homework.

Wendy - Don't know if you would want me as a trainer, I would really push you. My friends and family ask for advice and when I give, they don't want to hear it. You can come to TN anytime and let me practice on you. Good job with A&A and those chin ups. What matters is that you're trying.

Heather - How did you sleep last night? Hope the throat tickle is gone.

Cathy - Can't sneak in a little run at the track meet? Enjoy it.

Judy - Core Syn is a tough workout but a good workout. It will have you sweating buckets.

Laura - Glad to hear everything is going well with the house.

Gayle - Bet the boys will enjoy their new room once it's finished. Sounds like things are moving right along. Good job on the 6 miles.

I did 15 pull ups/chin ups (5 assisted), PLB Up Premix, a 20 minute Yoga Zone and a 15 minute walk. Left off the deadlifts and did abs instead.

Have a great day!

Jackie

Jackie...great job with those chin-ups!! Good workout too. John was quite tired after the games. He had blisters on his hands from the wheels as that is how they navigate around the court. Most of the guys who have played for a long time have callouses built up.

Good morning Cheetahs! Once again, this is a quick post. (I’m sounding like a broken record!)

There is so much stuff going on both with work and family. The whole family, except DS, was sick the whole weekend. DD’s sickness is a continuation from last week. The night before last, Annamarie only slept about an hour the whole night. She kept crying ALL NIGHT. I wish I was exaggerating. Nothing would calm her. Yesterday I had to take her to daycare. It wasn’t but an hour later that I received a call that her ears were draining (due to the tubes in them). During my lunch hour yesterday I took her to the pediatrician and they confirmed the ear infection. All day long Monday it drained a lot, even as I was putting her to bed. However this morning as I was fixing her hair I noticed blood in her ear. I cleaned it the best I could, but blood along with some other fluid is still draining. This morning I called DD’s ENT doctor, but he won’t be in until noon. The nurse is hoping he might have a cancellation so they can get her in. I’m going to wait to go to lunch until I know what they can do. Hopefully, her eardrum didn’t rupture. The worse part of this whole situation is the fact I haven’t been able to get off work to spend time with my sick DD. My office manager is still out of town and I have to be here to answer phones and do other numerous things. Luckily she will be back tomorrow.

On a bright note I ran 10 miles on the treadmill Sunday. Actually, I was hoping to run 12, but since I’ve been sick, and still am, I didn’t want to push it farther than the 10. Today was going to be an easy 4 miler, but I’m hoping the ENT office will call me with an appointment for DD instead, so I will probably be running that tomorrow.

Sorry there aren’t any personals. Hopefully once my office manager comes back tomorrow I will be able to spend more time online catching up.

Have a good Tuesday!

Hello ladies,

I am so sorry I have had so little time here lately. I took my friend yesterday for her mammogram and we will find out today if she has breast cancer. I am so afraid for her. I am praying so hard that this is just an infection of some sort. Thanks for all your well wisher for her.

I ended up doing and hour of pilates last night for my rest day. Today I will do a 3 mile run and then Muscle Max upper body. I am a bit sore from bootcamp on Sunday, but I good sore;-)

Christine, your puppy is so cute. I thought of you yesterday. My friend and I had lunch at the flames and we were right across from Santana row and I saw the Club One sign and I believe that is where you said that you worked out. That is such an amazing place to shop.

Carole, that pic of John gave me chills. I am so amazed and inspired by him. What a truly amazing human being for being so resilient. You must be so proud.

Jackie, great job with the chin-ups. I am quite impressed.

Gayle, good job on getting the patootie out of bed this morning and getting those miles in:)

Laura, nice to hear from you. It sounds like you are super busy with the house.

Judy, I too am one that really has not gotten into the p90x workouts. I have all of them, but just never had the discipline to follow a rotation like that. Yes, that butts and abs premix does repeat the legs twice and it is a burner.

Marcia, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your job. I hope you have a great workout today.

Wendy, I should be getting my BBC soon. I am so excited. I may use that rotation that you came up with.

Cathy, enjoy your rest day or core syn. You are one busy teacher. I can't beleive all the stuff that you teacher do.

Well, that is it for me. I am off to take the girl to school and then hit the treadmill and muscle max. Have a great day friends.

Susan

Edit:
Kristi, I am so sorry about your little one and the ear problems. How horrible! That is great that you got in 10 miles on the treadmill on Sunday. That is quite a run!!!

Good morning cheetahs!! I am so glad I pushed myself out the door for my 14 mile run yesterday. It was awesome!! The best long run I've had in a long time :) I even did a negative split and ran the second half much faster. By the last few miles my pace was up to 8:30 and I was feelin good! DH even rode out and joined me on his motorcycle for a while.... I was feeling so good I wasn't tempted at all to hop on the back of his Harley:)

Wendy- WTG with Arms and Abs yesterday!!! I think this one is the most challenging. Dont you love the way Barry has you hold that last rep:eek: And putting in the pull ups inbetween!!! WOW:eek:
The L&B is a burner.... you'll love it!

Christine- I loved perusing the dogster.com entry on Jimmy!! I especially liked the pic with you in it:) That is some trip your DD is on in NY!! Sounds like it'll be an amazing time for her and I bet you were so relieved to hear she landed safely! Hey, why did you stop taking vitamins? It's preferable of course to get your vitamins from your foods but that can be difficult and taking supplements (as long as you don't overdo some) certainly isn't harmful..... just curious.

Cathy- With the weather NJ has been having lately it may well be a muddy track meet! Good luck!

Marcia- Those divisive and contentious meetings certainly are tiresome!!! I feel for ya!

Judy- You're making such progress with getting back into running I don't think it'll be much longer before you'll be joining your friends again :) Those B&G premixes are awesome aren't they? for the most part they are much harder than the workout itself.

Gayle- Don't you feel good that you won the mental struggle and got in the 6 miles??? Bet it felt great afterwards.... good job!

Carole- Thanks for sharing the pic of John!!! He has got some nice upper body definition going there:)

Jackie- You are indeed the pull up queen:eek: Awesome job!!

Kristi - Wow, you've been having a rough time of it lately poor cheetah! I'm so sorry to hear that your DD has been sick. Jess can certainly commisurate with you about your trials! That's great that you are still managing to get your runs in.. 10 miles on the TM!!
I don't know how you manage such long runs on the TM!

Okay, gotta get busy now. Today it'll be DM and that's it:eek: I have a vet appt for all 3 of my dogs and I have to work tonight also.
I'll be doing lighter workouts this week then usual. I have a race on Saturday that I really would like to do well on.

Later y'all

ShellyC

Hi Susan! I'm sure your friend is extremely anxious today and it is so nice that you are there for her! Hope it's good news!!!
Have a great run today! I guess your back is still doing well:)

ShellyC

Hi Shelly,

Great run for you yesterday! My back is definitley a lot better. I still have to stretch it out quite a bit throughout the day, but I have been having no problem running. I have not really done much step. I am really focusing on just getting back into the runnin and then in a couple of weeks I will start step again. I did not want to throw too many things at all at once. I am really loving the pilates. I have this Karen voight one and it is not super challening, but it just feels really good and I am definitley working the back and the abs. Have fun with DM. I really like that workout:)

Susan

OMG - is my motivation shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I want to do is EAT and sleep!! What is the deal???? I'm hoping to get out and walk at lunch so the fresh air and sunshine might pull me through, but WOW - I'm just pathetic today! I had my board meeting last night which is a HUGE downer, so I'm guessing it's from that and I need to figure out what is going to get me going again......

Just had to vent!
Marcia.

P.S. Thanks for listening.

Hey ladies,
I am back and just ran 4 miles, WOOHOO!!!! I then did body max2 upper body and the ab section. I had a little glute pain, but nothing I could not stretch out. Just had to share my great workout:)

Cheers!

Susan

Butt and Legs is done folks and that's all she wrote. I *REFUSE* to do anything more today!:p I have a longer work out on tap for tomorrow...A TM run, ARX and Chest and Abs weight work. I am getting tired just THINKING about it!;) :p :7

BBL!:)

For those of you who are interested...I "unlocked" my X pics. I still have to do the final ones but day 1-60 are there if you want to check 'em out....
