Hey Cheetah Babes –
I’m back. Ended up doing UpHill Grind and the Push/Pull premix from MM and I added on the abs. It was a good workout! UpHill Grind was merciless! After a 3 minute soft pedal warm up, he did his usual 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off at medium tension (on a bike – big gear on front, 15 on the back). After a 1 minute rest we did two 2 minute sessions where you are a lighter tension, but you pedal as fast as you can for 10 seconds, then you get 10 seconds to soft pedal and repeat for the 2 minutes (my HR was high on this one!). Then it was 4 sets of 5 minute hill simulations where you alternated between medium and high tension, standing and sitting with the last minute being a lighter tension – but a fast spin “down hill”. And we finished with a 3 minute session of the 10 sec/10 sec. I was DRENCHED afterwards.
Cathy – I wouldn’t actually buy one of those bikes. They’re fun to ride at the gym, but I would think it would be boring after a while. Nice change of pace, though. Hope you’re feeling better! Core Synergistics is different – functional fitness at it’s best. It’s tough – but doable. And I actually like it – except for the Dreya rolls – can’t seem to get my fat a$$ up.
Sunny – what did you decide on today?
Marcia – enjoy your run in the lovely weather. Nothing like nice weather to make running a joy. Which X did you end up doing?
Laura – oh yeah – keep doing what you’re doing. You’re a good instructor. Sorry you brother is having difficulties with his class, though. Don’t know what to tell you on that – only that you’re not wrong.
Gayle – sounds like you had a really nice day – I love days like that. When you just pitter around getting things done while doing and seeing and enjoying yourself. Way to go. And YES I would love your Spinervals. I’m happy to send $$ or I have a trade list posted at VF (
http://forum.videofitness.com/showthread.php?t=100145) if you see anything you like there, let me know and we can trade!
Shelly – enjoy your rest day. You’re too funny. But obviously what you do gets results! Glad you had a sweatfest yesterday! Enjoy your cardio rest day!
Judy – what a morning!! I feel for you – I sometimes awake to doggie tummy problems and have messes to clean up before coffee, too – so I totally understand. It’s not fun at all. Hope your day gets better!
Carole – great news on the massage! I’m hoping you get much better quickly!! Odd not to have our favorite Super Cheetah out there grinding up the long miles.
Jackie – sounds like you have a great workout on tap. I know what you mean about the gym. I go back and forth on whether I like it. I DO NOT like dealing with the showers and the other women most of whom are really nice, but the occasional rude, obnoxious one is the one who I always remember (and want to practice my kick boxing on!)
Wendy – I think BF can be confusing to measure. If everything else went down, then I’m sure your BF did as well – especially if you’re liking the results. So, are you going to post your photos? And YES I figure I have 4 more weeks of being indecisive before I have to hand the baton back to you! I’m planning on enjoying it!
Linda – sorry you’re not feeling too well on your Birthday! I’m glad you get to deal with it at home, though! I agree – it’s your birthday you can play hooky if you want to! :+ Sorry – ended up doing the Spinervals and the UpperBody workouts.
Kristi – wow! Busy lady!! Sounds like you’ve been doing at getting your workout in though!
Susan – Oh yeah, gorgeous and again I’m stuck inside. *Sighs* Oh well – it’s supposed to be fabulous this weekend, too. Glad you can enjoy it! I like American Idol – but don’t get to watch it too much. My DD14 is boycotting this season now that Sundance was voted off.
Hope everyone is having an incredible Tuesday! I'm busy, but in a good way - busy with quotes I CAN do, not problems. So I'm enjoying that. DH is cooking tonight, so I get some chicken curry. I'm hoping I can keep my consumption to a minimum, but...
