Wendy :: no, we didn’t have any delays…the roads were clear by morning…I hate that when you wake up and can’t fall asleep again – that happens to me fairly often…I can COMPLETELY understand your anxiety about diving into a new career….When I decided to become a teacher, I was working FT for the government and going back to school PT to obtain my certification…It was long road getting there. When you sacrifice five years of your life to get somewhere and all your hopes are riding on it, there is sheer terror when you actually take that first step. Especially since, in my case, I had to student teach and live off of my savings for a number of months. Failure at that point would have been devastating. But I think you’ve got the winning combination for success :: you *know* your stuff, it’s a passion for you, and you’re a people person. You’re gonna ROCK!!
Marcia :: WOW on all that snow!!! Though I used to be a morning exerciser and am generally a morning person, my teaching schedule would require me to bust some butt waaaay too early for my body to handle it. I can sit here, drink my tea, read the paper, and catch up on emails or the forums, but coordinating four limbs at this hour for a major sweatfest – it rarely happens. I need a little time to slowly wake up and get my day going…I feel your frustration on the scale not moving…I seem to be losing *very* slowly now, but remember :: the measurements are a better indicator. Results are on the way!! BTW, are you keeping a food journal? I think you probably are if you're doing WW, but just checking. That definitely helps me keep more on track.
Gayle:: glad you’re feeling back up-to-snuff. Great job on the pushups!! Let us know how you like the new iTread workout.
Christine:: nope, no snow day for me. Woulda been nice.
Barb :: I don’t know if you will read any posts this week (it didn’t sound like you would), but just in case you drop by…have a great week & good luck getting all the loose pieces in order this week. I get easily distracted on the computer, too, when I *should* be working instead.
Judy :: that’s great for DD ~ she’ll have a gorgeous set of teeth at 16!…I think being a parent is probably the toughest job in the world – you’re at it 24/7!! So, I am always amazed by how much exercise every cheetah fits into her busy day!! Sometimes the time crunch annoys me, but then I think that I am doing a helluva lot more NOW (in the past year) than I was for a number of years when I was, unfortunately, on a hiatus from regular exercise. I didn’t know how to fit it in, and for awhile, I was always getting sick. It’s hard to juggle it all. There never seems to be enough hours in the day. Hope you had a good TM run or EXT workout. How did it work applying the Chi principles?
Mattea :: hey, welcome back! I am in week two of Phase 1 – Classic. You are not alone in your feelings on the dreadmill – I have had to force myself to use it this winter because of the dreadfully frigorific temps we’ve had, but anything beyond 45 minutes makes me go out of my mind.
Carole :: I ate them when I was a kid but haven’t had one in ages and *won’t* be indulging ~ was just making a funny about craving one

….Oh no! Sorry to hear the pain’s traveled to your hip now. Hope that can be nipped in the bud!
Sunny :: wow, that’s an early start to your day!
Linda :: Approximately how long are the Fluidity workouts? That’s funny that you remembered that one small thing your mom did for you when you were sick. I remember when I was a kid and was home sick once, my uncle came by with a BOP magazine and a pack of Tastykakes. That really made my day.
Shelly :: the paper marathon is not yet over, but I can see the finish…hallelujah!! *lol* Yes, I have done ARX twice now, and I agree, I feel it in the hip flexors, too. Does that mean I am doing something wrong? I definitely can’t do everything or keep up with those guys, but I do what I can…the Mason twists seem to hurt my lower back. Great job on the L&G Blast after a run!!!!
Kristi :: what are you doing now for u/b?
Susan :: ((((HUGS)))) Don’t feel bad about Mariah’s infection…that can happen. I’m sure she doesn’t mind staying home with mommy and enjoying the milk & cookies!! My February rotation (which I scrapped last week for the X) was calling for 3 days of cardio – usually at least two of those were runs. The other cardio was k'boxing. Now that I’m doing the X, I only did two days of cardio last week (only 1 run), but ideally, I’d like to get in 3 days still. I would love to be able to do 3 runs and 1 k’box, but with everything else on the rotation, I’m not sure I have time for all of it. *lol* I cracked up when I read about you cleaning before the cleaning lady came over!! Too funny!
Jess :: what’dja think of the movie?
OK, I think that's everybody who posted y'day. Hi to anyone else who drops in. Have a great day, ladies!
