Cathlete
Good morning, all! :D

One step closer to Friday...can I get an amen? :p :)

Gloria—that was one of the reasons I used the EXT so much last winter. The classroom I was moved to (this is my 2nd year in it) had/has climate control issues, and I just could not bear to head outside after spending the day so cold and uncomfortable. I thought the heating issues were fixed this year, but I guess not. I dress in layers and wore my coat and scarf most of the day, too, but I was still cold. Same for me with the book I started reading. Glad Pip is doing well post-op. How did the data meeting go?

Linda—thanks for the tip about the iPhone. That’s great! Do you run with yours instead of an iPod? Also appreciate hearing about the CW-X tights. Where did you find yours? Don’t worry, it wasn’t an STS thread—just a discussion that some were having in the thread here. I think Wendy just wanted to coordinate a start date with the cheetahs who are interested in doing STS together (right, Wendy?). :) There still is not a release date as far as we know. Did you order it? I have to get back to doing those 1RMs.

Brighton—good luck with today’s test run. Hope the foot stays happy.

Enjoyed a decent SS run on the TM last night followed by MM abs. Workin’ on building up my endurance on that thing. Tonight will be a TM run or k’box plus some yoga.

Have a great day!

Good Morning.

Yawning Cheetah reporting in. No work out for me this morning! I forgot that DH leaves for work extra early these days (it's temporary thankfully) so I don't have enough time to get to the gym before he leaves. I was going to get up and do the B&G segements I need to get done but I was out later then expected so I opted to sleep later this morning. Oh well. I may go as far as to call today a rest day but I'll decide that this afternoon. I have DOMS from y'day's work out as expected. :)

Had a great time last night. I decided that I wasn't in the mood for Macaroni Grill after all so we met next door at Champps in the mall. We sat at the bar and had a couple beers before sitting down for dinner. At the end of our meal Kareoke was starting so we hung out for a while chatting and listening to the really bad renditions of some good songs. :p

Cathy: Macaroni Grill is definately yummy. I gather you don't have one by you? Yeah, we can figure out a start date for STS as soon as we hear when it will be released/shipped. After spending the day in a 50 something degree classroom y'day, I don't blame you for wearing your UA to school today! I could use the top at work myself. They blast the AC in the babysitting room just like in the rest of the gym so we often FREEZE in there!

Gloria: Great 6 miler! You were busy y'day. Not surprised you opted for a rest day. What will you do today?

Linda: That's really cool about the IPhone. Too bad I don't have one. :p I had suggested that perhaps all of the Cheethas who ordered STS all get together and agree on a group start date to do the rotation so that we can all do it together. I'm gonna need the support to get through a 3 month rotation plus I just think it will be fun!:) As far as BMF goes, it's the B that's former. He's still my friend. I'm just tired of his crap is all.

Have a great day!

Good morning ladies!

Gonna have to be a fly by for now:(...hopefully I can catch up tonight before bowling.

I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I nixed this morning's workout cuz I want to keep going with the cleaning. I know, "bad Wendi"! I'm on a roll right now and need to keep going. Yesterday afternoon I tackled my bedroom, especially the closet and dressers and hauled (hey, there's that word again) 3 huge bags of clothing and a very large box of shoes to Salvation Army. Ahhhhh, felt good to be rid of all that crap:D! This morning's project is to finish the kitchen (not much left) and the hall closet. Perhaps I'll make it into the back bedroom, too, before heading out to work.

Anyway, gonna go for now. See yas all later! Have a great one!

Good Morning Cheetahs –

Wendy – did you manage to get in your run on the TM today? I’m not getting STS – so I’ll sit back and watch the results. Heavy weights don’t work well for me. I do better with a good mix. :p Sounds like a good time last night.

Cathy – I like 4DS. I think I’m going to do that one for a bit. And I do like 4DSKB – which is funny as the first day I did it I didn’t like it too much. :p Glad you got warm. It’s gotten cold here, too. I woke up and had to wrestle with the cover to fight my way out, I was buried that deep under it. Good job getting in the run on the TM!

Gloria – Oh, weighted gloves are great – they give kickboxing a whole new dimension. I’m glad Pip survived her surgery – I was sick to my stomach for Jimmy, too, and his is not as invasive.

Linda – NO! I did not know about that application for the iPhone – I’m going to download it now! Too freaking cool! How are you feeling today? Hope you have the level of DOMS you want. :p Sorry you always have to go to the office. That’s not fun, especially in a snow storm!

Wendi – enjoy the cleaning! And bowling

I got the tire fixed, so I’m going to so the second ride on my Tuscan Training DVD – it’s a roll over Gates Pass through the Saguaro National Forest. Should be pretty. 2 hour of training today – not fun. Just what I need when I’m swamped. Oh well, what can ya do? Have a great day everyone.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...Amen!!!! WOW, I would have been cranky with the temps in the room that cold all day! Do you wear gloves? As usual the new shoes felt great! IA on the steep price for the Pilates chair. Good workout last night.

Gloria...thanks re: the painting...:)...So happy to hear Pip's surgery went well. I am with you on feeling so awful taking them to the vet for things like that. I always try and get DH to do it! I loved venison when I was eating meat. I agree that venison is clean eating. One reason I don't eat meat is I believe that they use growth hormones and antibiotics in all beef, chicken, turkey and pork which we ingest too when we eat it but that does not apply in any way to venison!! The run in new shoes was a good one...Good job on the 6 miles. Sounded like a busy work day for you yesterday.

Christine...LOL about flats being your life! Thanks so much for the compliments about the painting. It is special to me. Growing up with you and riding horses would have been fun!! As I have never been on a horse!!! I think the Pilates chair is cool, just a bit overpriced IMO. Great job with the 4DS workout yesterday. Enjoy your ride today. Hope the training at works goes by fast!

Wendy..Sounds like a nice dinner last night? I bet hearing the Karaoke was funny!! The new shoes were great..:)

Wendi..I don't feel you are "bad Wendi" at all for skipping a workout and cleaning. Lord knows I could stand to do that!!

Brighton..good job with LIC yesterday. Hope the run goes well today.

Linda...LOL about having those Pilates machines and not using them! I didn't do the whole P90X C&B workout as I think I am getting burnt out on it, glad this is my last week of heavy upper! Good workout with the run and GS C&B.

Shelly...Did you get some nice warm running gear at Dick's yesterday? No I got some Brooks, their Adrenaline GTS 8 model that Karen had recommended last year. LOVE them! I got the best deal I could find which was $77.95 at Holabird Sports, and free shipping. They can run anywhere up to $95. I have a few different sites I check before buying them, or I Google the model number to find more...:)..I thought the same about that Pilates chair, way overpriced.

Jackie...Yes, the $14.95 was the trial offer for the Pilates chair. I just never expected it to be close to $400!! Quads were better for yesterday's run. Good job warming up a bit before Power Yoga.

Judy..how is the booty DOMS today?

Karen...Hope the appt with the brain specialist helps to clear things up for you.

So I got the excuse for why PITA sis can't help AGAIN this weekend. She cannot afford gas to drive out here??? OMG, it is not like we live in another state....Needless to say that pi$$ed me off royally last night!

Today I am doing GS legs standing and an easy 5 mile run. Serenity now!!!

Have a great day...:)

Cathy – I ordered my Cw-X tights from Zappo’s. I love Zappo’s! Their CS is wonderful! You are very welcome! Sounds like you are becoming as good of a friend to your TM as I am to mine! :) Okay! I want to start as soon as we get them, too! I will start when you guys start! I paid for “overnite” delivery and ordered the first day!! Can you tell I am anxious? I have tried hard to stay away from the STS blog and info so that I wouldn’t get too excited until it was about time for it to be released!

Cathy and Christine - I haven’t tried running with the RunKeeper yet. On the site, it says that if you use the iPod, you have to keep it running “in the background” while using the RunKeeper, or it stops the GPS??? Hmmm….gonna have to play around with it to see how this works! It also says to set your “lock” to “not lock”…or that stops the GPS. It would be great if we could get it all to work together…and only have to carry that one gadget! Oh…it also says when the phone rings….if you answer, it pauses the GPS. We will see! ;)

Christine – I am feeling good! I do have some pleasant DOMS…but nothing really bad! Man, have I missed my weight workouts! It felt good to be back to them! Enjoy your Tuscan Training! Sounds great! Hope the stress lets up soon!

Wendy - I want to start with you guys! Count me in! :) Oh, I see! So he is still "MF"....that is good :) LOL....come to think of it ...maybe I had better phrase that differently ;) (referring to "MF").

Carole – I know! It is ridiculous that I don’t just sell them. I also have my Fluidity Bar. Grrr. And it is not that I don’t like them, I do….I just keep going back to Cathe-type weights, Jari, BBC, etc. Oh well. ;) Man, oh man! You PITA sis never ceases to amaze, does she? At least you won’t have to deal with her! Enjoy your run and GS legs! I get burnt out on P90X, too. (even though I do like that one, too)! LOL…I guess I “do” have exercise ADD

This morning was a 6 mile run and the floorwork and abs from Firm Vol. 1. This was the longest distance I have run, since the marathon.

Hey to everyone and have a good day!

Linda

Hiya cheetahs! I've spent the morning just doing paperwork, catching up on billing, etc. I've been informed by my insurance carrier that they are dropping the coverage on our Az house since it is vacant. (too high risk)... sigh.... one more headache:( Dont' have time for much of a workout today since I have to nap before going into work tonight. (only one night) It was going to be pretty much a rest day anyway... I will do some yoga or ab/core work soon.

Had a pretty successful shopping day yest! Got some good UA cold weather gear at Dicks which was on sale. A long sleeve compression shirt for underneath and cold weather tights. also some fleece lined gloves and a warm headband. Feel better about facing that upcoming cold marathon now! DH also gave me some hand and foot warmers that I'll use before hand. Got back in time for a good 4 mile run also:D

Jackie- I'm all set for a pretty cold marathon run this Sunday. Wish I had the option of starting out later like you and your RP do! Race starts at 0700 and the temps will likely be below freezing.

Judy- I'd say you are definitely the cold weather running guru around here. I've been wimping out of runs outside and there isn't even any snow on the ground yet! Great job on the PP lower body x 3... that is tough!

Karen- Thanks for the update... it must be so frustrating not knowing what exactly is going on!! Glad she is going to a specialist today and my prayers are with you both!

Wendy- Had alot of luck shopping yesterday... you would have been proud of me (LOL). My 4 miler yesterday actually felt pretty good! Glad you had a good time last nite with your friend. My new coworkers are really into getting together for karaoke and I've been invited.... I dunno about that tho... you'd have to get an awful lot of liquor into me before I'd do that!!!

Cathy- Yikes... that must have been a LONG workday without the heat on!! Dont blame you for opting out of an outdoor run after that. I have a pretty hard time getting in longer runs on the TM myself.. more of a mental thing really I guess.

Gloria- You are a very busy cheetah for sure! Great job on that 6 miler the other day.

Brighton- Nice job in breaking out the step again yest for LIC. Yes the ab section on that one is a good one! Good luck with the run today!!

Linda- Once I get going the runs outdoors actually feel good. It's just getting motivated once I step outside in that icy air with the wind blowing!! Great combo workout yest w/ the 5 miler and GS and today another 6 miler!!! That's great that you want to do the STS together. I ordered the STS for fast delivery also. Should be fun!!

Wendi- Nixing the workout in favor of cleaning?? Hey, I would call you GOOD and give you a huge pat on the back!! (and that's coming from crazy about workin out Shelly!) It must feel so good purging your house of all that crud!!!

Chrisine- Sounds like a beautiful bike ride today... almost as good as really being there I guess! Hope it will give you stress relief after having to put up with that training session.

Carole- You've got me really intrigued about that Brooks running shoe. I've put some serious mileage already on my current Addidas pair. I do like them alot but I'll have to check out those Brooks! Great idea to just google the model # of what you are looking for! Okay... gas costs are pretty much now half of what they were this summer... and it's still too much for that sis of yours??? LOL! I like that excuse as much as the plant watering!

Time to go now. Hope everyone has a great one!

Good morning Cheetahs!

Judy - Did you get anything from your Christmas list accomplished yesterday? Can you believe it's almost here. Times flies! More snow? I like to look at it but don't want to drive in it. You know we can't drive in the stuff here if it even thinks about snowing. :D

Karen - So sorry your mom's condition can't seem to get a clear cut answer. Stay strong!

Christine - I'm looking forward to tapering. Nice that you don't mind getting up earlier to do a longer workout. Some people just think they have talent but when it's put to the test, the real stuff comes out. Glad you enjoyed your workout yesterday. Enjoy your ride today.

Wendy - Glad you enjoyed your dinner date last night. Karioke sounds fun! Yay for good ol' DOMS!! Enjoy whatever you decide to do today.

Cathy - Glad you survived the cold classroom. Hate being cold. Heat has not been repaired in one of the offices I work in. I do have a space heater though. Weekday runs are always at 4:30 and on the TM for me. Don't know if I could get RP out that early even if I were to head outside. I'm a wimp when it comes to running in the dark. Good job tackling your run on the DM.

Gloria - Glad Pip's surgery went well. Little slow at USPS these days. Things will start picking up here after everyone gets out for those Black Friday sales. People buy, go home and pack them and come in and ship. Good job on the 6 miles!

Brighton - I'm looking forward to doing some step after my half. Hope the running goes well for you today.

Linda - Nice about the iPhone. Don't own one but I'll bet it's great to have. Love the running tights! They don't let any air through. Good job with the 5 miles and GS C&B and good job on the 6 miles today.

Wendi - Cleaning sounds like a workout to me. Sounds like you got a lot done too. Don't feel bad about it. have fun bowling!

Carole - $400 for the pilates chair!! Yikes!! Think they have the notion that if you get it in your home you won't return it because it's too much trouble. Tell sis gas prices have come down. She could save something to help out. Have a good leg workout and run. Enjoy that peace!

Shelly - Never thought about a house not being insurable because it's vacant. I know it goes up considerably for rental purposes. Sorry for the extra headache. Great shopping finds for cold weather. 7:00 start time is early for cold months. Will it warm up a little during the day. Good luck this weekend.

I did iTread #5 60 minutes this morning. Got in 6.2 miles and did Stretch Max 1. It was a much better run for me too. Glad I took it easier this week.

Have to get back to work. Talk to you later. Enjoy your day!

Serenity Now! LOL

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Cheetahs!

My apologies, but I’ve been just way too swamped to take time for personals the past couple of days, nevertheless, I have sneaked a few peaks at the happenin’s in the Den…

Yesterday at work, we think a Greyhound busload of the orneriest, rude students were let off in our parking lot and headed straight to A&R (my office). Yeauup, what a few days it has been! Yesterday’s theme song at work was, “Who Let the Dogs Out…ruff, ruff, ruuuuff… LOL… So, needless to say, our plush pony got his share of sshhhhhqqqqueeeeeeshhhses yesterday  and at the end of the day, I snapped a pic with the Blackberry so I could introduce ya’ll to the lil’ fella! eeehheeheee, eeeheeheheheeh, eheheheheee

343957041.jpg

I know, it’s official, I’ve lost my mind! LOL

Cathy – Nice work on the dreadmill! Were you imagining our new series of “babelicious runvervals”? lol. What is MM? Muscle Max? I get lost in all these acronyms. Have fun with KB – don’t forget to hydrate! eeehhhheeeehheheehehee

Wendy – Ahhh, Karaoke! LOVE it – does that surprise anyone? Did you get out there and sing a few?

Wendi – Don’t think you’re a “bad Wendi”, no, you’re bustin’ a move on them chores! Busy peeps just have to rearrange the schedule once in while to fit it all in. Um, have you ever considered a trip to Californina? lol…there’s lots to get cleaned up and organized here! LOL by the way, NO, I’m not off for a month (I wish!). I will have 12/20 through 01/04 off from work. Works out to 2 weeks and 3 weekends off.

Christine – Wow, 2 hour ride, woo hoo! Thanks for taking on the cards. I did buy the STS but now I’m wondering if I should have opted for a kettlbell package instead…lol. We’ll see, if I don’t have time etc. to stick with STS, then there’s always Ebay, right?.. enjoy your ride!

Carole – SERENITY NOW! LOL guess you and I can be the “serenity sisters” today, huh? How far is PITA sis from ya’ll? Did you remind her Cali gas prices have come WAY down? lol.

Linda – My DD has the iphone – I’ll have to tell her about RunKeeper. Is there a fee to download? Sounds like you’re enjoying jumping back into your weight workouts – great job!

Shelly – sounds like you scored big time on the cold weather gear yesterday! NIIIIICE! Now you’re really ready to take on that cold start line weather. Getting excited for your big day Sunday! We don’t have a Dick’s in my area – perhaps I should check what they have online?

Jackie – I’m with ya re: the snow – like to look at it but not drive in it! Peeps out here can’t drive in it either! Yeah, usually taking an easier week makes for better runs –good job with the itread.

Well, I better hop to my workout, shower, make me lunch, and then off to Disneyland....lol

Have a great day, ya'll!

POSH:D

Shelly – I agree, I am the same way about getting past the first 10-15 minutes or so in the cold wind! Then I usually warm up :) That is a shame that they canceled your home owners in Arizona! It sounds like you really did have a successful shopping trip yesterday! I love the cold gear, too! I like to wear the mock turtles when it is really cold, and I have some UA tights that I sometimes wear under running pants (when it’s reeeaally cold!) I know you were directing your shoe question to Carole, but I have just switched shoes, so thought I would tell you my new find :) Do you use Stability or Neutral shoes? I need Neutral cushion and the past couple of years I used Nike Vomero's. I really liked them and that is what I ran the marathon in. It seemed like they weren't really supportive enough. I ordered a pair of Saucony Triumph 6's and Asics Nimbus 10's. I literally love them both! I wish I would have been able to use them for the marathon! I had the Asics, but since I trained in Vomero's, I went ahead and used them. But teh Saucony's and Asics both have so much more arch support. I got Brooks Radius 7's last year and they didn't work for me at all. But I know so many people that just love Brooks. Fleet Feet highly recommended them for me.

Jackie – Great job on your 6.1! I am glad it felt better to you today! Good for you doing Stretch Max, too!

Posh – The stuffed horse is adorable! The poor thing is going to wear out fast with all of the kids squeezing it! ;) The RunKeeper is now a free download! The used to charge $9.99. I am anxious to try it :) Enjoy your day!!!

Hello again Ladies.

Well, it's a rest day for me. Too tired to be bothered. :p I'll just add the appropriate work out on before or after Centergy on Saturday (if I go) and I'll be fine. :)

Posh: Love the pony and it's no surprise he got squeezed alot with the day the folks in your office had! Nope, didn't sing. I tried to convince my friend to get up there with me to sing either Grease's "Summer Nights" or Shanai Twain's "Man I feel like a woman" but he wasn't havin' it. He must not have had enough to drink :p and I wasn't gettin' out there alone! That's for sure! LOL

Jackie: ITread 5 is the first 60 minute ITread I ever bought/did! Good job bangin' out a solid 6 miles with it!

Shelly: Just go along one night to Kareoke. Even if you don't sing it'll be fun to listen to and watch everyone else up there! :p

Linda: K, glad to hear you are in on the STS thing! The more the merrier I always say!:) MF..LOL..sorry, that's my fault!:D

Carole: Sorry big sis gave you such a lame excuse. Yeah, kareoke is a crack-up. When I was 18 I would go every week and I would SING...SOBER!

Christine: Sorry about the 2 hours of training when you are so swamped with other work to do. Hate when that happens. Nope, no run, no work out, nadda, nothing! LOL I had too much fun last night I think. :D Hope you enjoyed your ride today!!

Wendi: Cleaning like crazy instead of working out is nothing to be embarrassed about! You are doing some serious cleaning and organizing around your place. It's not like you are using some light housework as an excuse to skip a work out!

BBL!

Hey Cheetahs

This will be a quickie. I managed a 5 mile tempo run on the TM this morning. I wanted to control my own hills. And I did two 0.5 mile hills at 4.0% grade in the middle of the run. The rest of the run was flat.

Shelly- I am not the best at cold runs, but making myself do them at least once a week for the long easy paced run is my strategy. good going on the finds . PA booty is on the mend, but now I have ab and bicep DOMS from PS heavy! lovely!

Linda- just what are these tights you speak of? How do I get this download for the iPhone? I think i reacll it being advertised in an e-mail at some point.

Cathy & Gloria- Wow cold all day? it must be a challenge for teachers and students alike!

Jackie- nice going on iTread #5 today!!! I knew you would have a decent run after the last few days!

Karen- TG your Mom does not have signs of brain mets. now continued prayers are in order.

Posh- good song for the situation! The pony is a keeper too!

The natives are getting hungry so I'll be heading to the kitchen to cook in a bit here.

DD17 left today with the Outdoor Adventure Club at her Highschool to go camping and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains ! They will be in tents all weekend and had to pack their own food. A good bit of the hiking will be snow shoeing since there is a good chance of snow cover. THe Adirondacks are generally colder than here, but they may or may not have much snow. We have mostly lake effect snow locally. i am saying my prayers tht she is safe and enjoys this trip. It is so NOT my thing.

ok now the boyz are telling me they are HUNGRY! LOL gotta go :)

Judy - Here is a link to the CW-X tights at Zappos. I hope the link works! The ¾ length Stabylix tights are my favorite. I like the full length pro conditioning tights really well, too! http://www.zappos.com/n/br/b/1630/CW-X.html
For the RunKeeper, you go to the App store on your iPhone and go to the fitness section. You just scroll until you find RunKeeper and install it. It is very easy, believe it or not! Usually I get aggravated trying to download/install things, but this was really simple! I hope you daughter has a good time! Sending prayers that she stays safe! Great job on your run!

Night everyone!

Linda

Good evening, Cheetah Babes!!!

Success!!! I got on the treadmill today and did 25 min-- 5 min walk, 5 min run... etc. Got 2 miles in, of which I ran 1. No pain, though I can tell I've been out of the running zone for awhile. *sigh* But feeling hopeful. :) Going to do some light yoga tonight to stay loose.

I'm sorry I've been horrible at the personals lately. Hopefully I can get caught up tomorrow. So much to say, so little time. The kids have been a little high maintenance and I've been exhaaaaaaaausted. DD2 was up 4 times last night... I think she has some kind of secret alert system to let her know the nights I am wiped out, so she can test my unconditional love. ;)

Love to all my cheetah girls! :) :) :) Oh and Posh, listening to Frank as I type this-- your pony stories have me cracking up daily, btw! :D

Hope everyone gets some nice restful sleep tonight-- I know I need it!!!!!!

Hiya Cheetahs!

Let’s see, where did I leave off workout wise?? Tues, I think, anyway I did EXT w/u, B&G premix #3 (that’s the one I dread:eek:, and FW runner’s segment; Wed: 4.25 mile treadmill run, B&G stability ball abs, and Suzanne Deason Hip and Thighs yoga; and today: 4D kickbox/BC cardio & Eionn Quickie premix. I was hoping to get upper body weights in today, but just didn't have enough time.

Wendi ~ So, a cappuccino is the trick, huh!??! ;) You sure get the organized Cheetah award. Did you get everything done?

Wendy ~ My DD is 10, but I have no idea how old those boys were. Maybe 11 or 12? LOL I’m definitely not ready for that. We asked the girls if they noticed and they did not. They were too busy watching DS’s game. Whew! ;):D IA about the thin gloves. Let me know if you find a pair worth recommending. I have an Under Armour pair, and they do NOT do the trick. :(

Cathy ~ How’s your ITB doing? I can finally run w/o feeling my hip. The yoga has definitely helped. :)lol’d about your proposed treadmill workout w/Hugh Jackman. :D I'd buy it!!! :p Hey, he’s the People magazine's choice for Sexiest Man this year. I’m “in” with the common STS start.:)

Carole ~ WTG on the 18 miler!!! :) You’re doing great! We have a TJ’s, but I’m still waiting for a Whole Foods that’s closer. However, IA w/Shelly…if it were closer I just might be broke. BTW, that’s a great picture your mom gave to you. I’m running in those Brook’s GT8 too. Wow, your sis has a long list of excuses.

Shelly ~ lol about the auto pilot at work. Sometimes I feel that way around here. ;) What kind of yoga did you do the other day? Sorry about the vacant house and the insurance. So, your marathon is this weekend??? :D Oh boy, those starting temps. Oh NO!!!

Christine ~ Sounds like you got a good start on Christmas duties. I still want to get my labels done. I cheat, we just do a picture card (just the kids ;)). I counted, I really only have 18 days left. The kids get out of school so early! I have to have the shopping done, gifts wrapped, and back in hiding. How did the training go today?

Jackie ~ Glad the power was out briefly….brrrr! I felt that way training for the half too. Glad the race is close!

Linda ~ How’s your DD? WTG braving the temps on your 5 mile run. I’m a chicken lately. I really have to “warm up” to these colder temps. :p;)I have all of Amy’s 10 Minute Solutions, but the one I did was w/the band. I think that w/PUB abs did the trick! ;)

Gloria ~ Did you finish The Last Lecture? That’s on my reading list. Guess, I’ll get back to that after the holidays. Did you see the You Tube video of his lecture? Get the Kleenex ready. Did you post your black bean soup recipe? How did it turn out? DH wants me to make a Greek lentil soup. I thought I’d have time today, but it just didn’t happen.:(

Posh ~ I had know idea about the SIGG bottles. Thanks for the link! Yep, the teacher’s always have wish lists. The Book Fair was fun. The kids are so cute. They were making some rather large wish lists. lol’d about the pony. It would be fun working with you!:D

Brighton ~ Glad the foot is giving you no trouble.:D

Judy ~ WTG on all the vacation runs! Also, your 10 miler when you got home. Wow! Hope the PF gets under control. Had to lol about your son calling Christmas picture taking a PITA. I guess I’ll enjoy it while it lasts. IA some things have to be edited from the Christmas to do list.

Karen ~ Continued prayers. ((((HUGS))))

Well, I think that catches me up! TG tomorrow is not a 4A start. I surely could not do that one more day…how do you gals do it??!! I've been going to bed at 7:30A and 8P all week. That's why I couldn't get here to check in. Tomorrow’s 5A start will feel like sleeping in….LOL I started this post this morn, but just now finishing it...so hope everything is accurate. :)

**See** ya in the morn! :)

I went to see the specialist tonight with my mom and dad. We got home around 7 and after talking with my sister and dh I can let you all know. Crying Crying Crying:(:(:(:(

It doesn't look good.

He said that she has severe menangial carcinomas. ( sp). Usually when the menengials of the brain light up as they did on her MRI they do the spinal and the fuild will say cancer. Well, since hers did not come back as cancer in the fluid he said " At this point as a surgeon I cannot do the chemo for the brain until it is conclusive" Meaning they will do another tap in 3 weeks to see if it is clean. If it is clean he gave me no answers. He had the look like he was just waiting for it to happen. He siad if it comes back cancerous in three weeks it will be her decision as to wheather she wants the procedure done which has a poor mortality he said. What the!!!!! So I got no answers once again. He showed me her skull which has a large lump on it and when he made me press it, it was indented. Her eye sight is still fine but I told him her cognitive ability was not what it was. He gave us no other alternative like I had hoped. I wanted him to say " Well it could be this or it could be that." It seemed like he was just waiting for it to progress to the cells and then if she wanted to have the proceduce where they chemo her brain then she could. He then said he would never give up on her and he would fight the fight. I know they can't say they think it is something unless it is conclusive but I just wanted him to say I think it is cancer but it is not in the cells YET.. My God give me somthing. Don't tell me let's wait until it's all over her brain before chemo.

Back to reality. I know the procedure is dangerous and they won't do it unless both pieces fit but at this point I never got the impression he thought it was anything other than cancer and he was just waiting for the spinal to match the adnormal ( as he said) MRI.

I'm going to just pray her spinal keeps coming back negative and she is one of the chosen who can do this.

By the way on top of all of this, Dh was going to work though lunch and come home early so I wouldn't have to take the girls with me today to the specialist. Well, 30 min before he is do home they get a call from the big wigs and he can't come. I didn't know what to do. Two of my sisters were at work and the other lives to far away. I was going to take them with me but I knew today was the day with the news. I didn't want them in the office just in case. So I call dh parents who I don't like but still see just for the kids sake and the grandfather tells me NO. He can't watch them he has to go get his grandson bum drug addict out of jail. Ask me if my husbands parents have ever in their life watched my kids. You guessed it. They never ever have. The one time I need them they tell me no. Dh was so pissed he got into a huge fight with his father this evening and it ended with him hanging up on him. It just gets worse. Dh has one brother who is a druggie and apparently now lives with the parents which is why we never go over there. We only go when he is not around. Had I know the entire freakin drug family was living there again I would not have asked which is why I never had before. His druggie wife who lived there as well is now in jail and now their druggie children are getting arrested too. I feel sorry for his mom because I do like her but she does what she is told. I could go on but I won't. Now is not the time for hating someone but if it were he would be at the top of my list. I mean I was in tears telling him about my mom and I just needed him for 90 freaking minutes until dh got home.

Sorry I'm done. Keep praying.
