Good morning, cheetahs & happy Thursday! :)

Have a doc appt. right after school and will follow that up with a run + some yoga.

Have a great day, everyone!
Cathy :)

Good Morning Cheetah-Babes!:)

I have spin on tap for this morning and Baron's Journey into Power 2 ready to go for tonight. :) I never got a nap in y'day so I was exhausted by the time dinner was done. I was in bed by 9 and fast asleep before 9:30. I woke up at midnight thinking it was morning! LOL I must have slept HARD in those couple of hours.

Cathy: Yes, you can certainly change your screen name. I changed mine a while back. It used to be WendyM. Talk about B-O-R-I-N-G!!! I changed it after Joey was born and I was getting back into shape. It helped to inspire me!;) So what yoga vid will you be doing later?

Christine: I have ALOT of reading to do so I hope I continue to enjoy the HP books! I've read 100+ pages already since Tuesday night and that's a lot for me. I usually lay down in bed with a book and close it w/in 10 pages because my eyes get tired. LOL

Heather: So what do you, your mom and her DH have planned to do together when you are on vacation? I am close with my mom. Her and my dad divorced when I was very young. I remained close with my dad until he died 12 years ago. My mom remarried and I was close with her husband for the first few years but the older I got the farther apart I drifted from him until I couldn't stand him. They too got divorced and well, I was HAPPY about it. Through it all though, I've remained close with my mom. We hang out all of the time. :)

Hey, guys! Quickie post for me....I'm headed to Kindergarten this morning.

DOMS are a distant memory in my legs, so I figured it was time to hit them hard again! LOL. THis morning was B&G overall legs.

The kids and I are headed to DC tomorrow for a day trip, which means a very early morning. I'm trying to decide whether to get tomorrow's workout in today, or just get up extra early (like 4am) tomorrow. HMMM

BBL sometime, promise!

Gayle

G'morning Cheetah Babes! (I like that, Wendy!)

The birds were chirping again this morning, I love waking up to that! It got a bit chilly last night, felt great snuggled up under the covers. I hate sleeping when it's too hot!

I have Legs & Back on tap today. I'm looking forward to crushing those pullups!! (at least the chinup ones I can do unassisted!) Thanks for the tips re: the X & bloating. Today I'm the same as y'day. I think it's actually the cardio that makes me retain water & then lose it. I found that when I was marathon training too, a long run would make me gain a couple lbs. I know, I'm strange!

My dh was crackin' me up last night flexing in front of the mirror. I'm really seeing some changes in him already, his arms are looking more defined & I know he's lost some in the waist already. 11 more days til our 30 day pics!! ;-) I know I've said it a million times but I'm super proud of him for keeping up w/ the workouts! Although he hasn't done yoga yet, I'm going to make him do it this weekend! ;-)

Kiersten has a Dr's checkup this afternoon. Just a recheck of her ears & see if the pneumonia is all gone. She just coughs occasionally now & seems to be all better. But I hate to say that as it seems once she's almost better every other time that she's gotten sick again. The allergies have been bad lately, lots of tree pollen. We live on Claritin this time of year!

OK, gotta wake up the kiddos & get them fed & off on the bus! I have to head to the DMV for my driver's license, just realize it expires tomorrow! Good yucky day to run some errands.

Have a great day!!!

Cathy ~ Sounds like you needed a rest day. I've changed my rest days to Sat, but it seems that I haven't taken a true rest day in a while. I think Wednesdays are kind of rest since it's my yoga day. Are you doing YogaX?? You asked how I liked it, and I really do like it! I'm doing great holding the poses now and feel really balanced & stretched. I know how important yoga is, but usually find it hard to fit in. W/ the X, I just know that I *have* to do it as part of the program!

Wendy ~ the Cheetah babe. You always crack me up, girl!! I have read the first HP book, they are a good easy read. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

Gayle ~ Have a great time in DC!! I haven't been there since I was about 8?? It was a fun vacation, my Aunt & Uncle have a house in Falls Church, VA.

Everyone else ~ Have a fabulous day!!!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I am still shocked Billy Ray has a big fan base, I mean...come on...:)..thanks about the graphics...they are fun. Enjoy your run and Yoga.

Wendy...yes it was a rain free run! You don;t want to change your screen name, you will loose ALL those posts!!...:)..I hope you enjoy Baron's workout. I do like his style of Yoga.

Gayle..good job with B&G!

Heather...funny about the umbrellas. I always buy cheap ones and the wind does seem to tear them up. Glad the stress has calmed down for you at work.

Jackie...I agree that Billy Ray should have gone before John as John was a LOT easier to watch! Way to go with the 7 mile tempo run.

Jess..I never noticed any water retention during the X, but we do react different to weights & cardio. I also massively changed my diet so I was squeaky clean...:)...You should be proud of your DH...you are both doing great with the X!

Christine...I think you will love BBC. A&A is a fun one but as I said before I like Tony better than Barry...but Joey....:)...:)...I thought you already had a step. I think the one they use is set about 12 inches. Mine only goes to 10, but it works fine. I hope you enjoy the time with the girls while DH is gone. And you are right, 50K's om trails are not easy but out of the 2 I did one was definitely harder than the other.

Linda...good job getting to P90X Phase 2. How are the iBallets?

Kristi...you are far from a dork! Thanks for sharing the pics, you make a lovely family! Enjoy your long weekend with the friends, that sounds like fun.

I got my new Karen Voight workout yesterday. http://www.karenvoight.com/store/kit.asp?id=KB14 I really wanted the body bar as I have an 8 lb one but this one is 12 lb and you can use soft weights which I have a number of.

Today I will be doing BBC B&L standing, BBC C&A, and at maybe the Core iClimb on my EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning!

Christine – Oh my goodness! That sounds so cute that he can jump into your arms! We have GOT to get a fence for Madison! If little Jimmy can jump that high, already….it does make you wonder if he will eventually jump the 6 footer! Yes….Madison is really getting big! She “almost” looks like an adult, now! But, no, she has not gotten out of the chewing puppy stage! We just crate trained her and have been doing the “basic” training on our own. I need to get her into “Obedience School”. I hope I haven't waited too long! She is really, really ignoring us lately!!! I can’t wait to seem more pics of Jimmy!

Wendy – Your reason for running is a great reason!  I love it now! I haven’t read the Harry Potter books! I have heard they are wonderful and I actually have a set of the first three! But….I have not read them. How embarrassing!
Glad you got some sleep! Enjoy your spin and yoga!

Cathy – Hmm. That is interesting that you didn’t start feeling that way until recently on the rotation! I started experiencing it after the very first week. I am going to try to keep at it (I hope), because I know it is a very good program and that I do need it!
No, Dad never did get to run. With the Parkinson’s Disease he pretty quickly got to the point to where he couldn’t even walk. His heart was healthy for most of the 10 years after the transplant, but the PD made it impossible for him to function normally. Enjoy your yoga and run! Good luck at the Doc!

Heather – I am glad your stress at work is calming down! That is always a good thing! :)

Gayle – I am glad the DOMS is just a fading memory, now! Have fun with B&G!!

Jess – That is cool that your DH is already seeing some results! I can’t do any pullups unassisted! I have always just used the bands, or done them “assisted”. I doubt that I will every be able to do them unassisted.

Carole – This morning was my first time doing an iBallet. I did 11. I liked it a lot, but I was a bit confused on some of the moves she was telling us to do. I need to study the printout of the PDF file closer, before I do the next one. I have been doing the Sqeeze workout and I just love it! So..I am hoping the other iBallet’s will be as good as that! Let me know what you think of that KV workout! Enjoy BBC B&L and iClimb! Man…am I ever missing BBC!

This morning I ran 5 miles with iTread 60 minutes and did iBallet 11.

Hi to everyone that checks in later! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Linda
:)

Good morning ladies!

Christine - Know you will miss DH but enjoy your alone time with the girls. Sore tush may have been the reason I had to take a few breaks with that tempo run. Glad you love your job! Makes life so much better and fulfilling.

Kristi - You have a beautiful family and you're definitely not dorky. The kids are so adorable. Have a great vacation!

Gayle - For some reason, I just can't help myself with the new workouts. Guess, I'm afraid boredom will creep in. Have a fun trip to DC.

Cathy - I thought the same thing about the outfits in Cardio Sweatfest. Tracey's pigtails about got to me. Looks like they need a style manager. Enjoy your run and yoga!

Linda - Love your running story! Good job on the 5 miles! How did you like the iBallet? I downloaded the new iClimb last night. Will probably do the two iTreads too. Madison is a cutie.

Wendy - And a great Cheetah Babe you are. Yes, love the DOMS. Makes me thing I've been working hard. Did you do the new Baron? Enjoy your new books. Thought HP movies were too long too. Think I only watched one.

Heather - Glad to hear things are a little calmer at work. Good job on the workouts! Laughing at your Asics not being waterproof.

Jess - Enjoy your workout today. I can't remember any bloating with P90X thank goodness. I made sure I was drinking plenty of water. Can't wait to see progress pictures of you and dh. Hope Kiersten's dr. appt. goes well. Know she will be glad to get rid of everything.

Carole - Glad you had a rain free run! When will you get to do that new Karen Voight? How much did the workout itself cost? You are not enabling me! You are not enabling me! Enjoy your workout.

I did iTread #10 20 minutes for 2 miles. I did 21 pull ups (5 super wide armed assisted). I improved my wide arms to 5. Couldn't believe that! I did Super Body Sculpt and used 20 pounds with a lot of the upper body. Will use the foam roller when I get home today.

Have a terrific Thursday!

Jackie

Jackie - I liked it a lot....except I need to try to figure out a couple of the moves, before I do it next. I have another credit left, and I am not quite sure what I want. I downloaded iBallet's 1, 11, and 7. Wow! 20 pounders! I thought I was doing good with my 15's :+ Good job! Madison is a rotten little Cutie! ;)

Linda

Good Morning Cheetahs –

Jimmy went for his first run this morning. A VERY short one a 6/10th of a mile, but he’s still a puppy so I didn’t want to hurt him. He was not fazed by it at all and was still overcome with Mad Puppy Syndrome (where he races all over the lawn and through the flowers with a crazy look in his eyes). Maybe I’ll take him for a longer one tomorrow! Besides my short run, I did CC Press Play. I’m feeling great and energetic this morning. DH is gone for Australia so it’s quiet at home.

Cathy – hope the doc appointment went well! Enjoy your run and yoga!

Wendy – I think if anything can keep you awake it’s the HP books. I just love them. Enjoy your spin class! Don’t you love waking up at midnight knowing that you can go right back to sleep?

Gayle – nothing like making sure you have DOMs after it’s worn off!! :+ Enjoy B&G and your trip to DC. That sounds like fun!

Jess – I do the same thing with bloating. I think it’s just our bodies trying to figure out what the heck we’re doing to them. Once we settle into a routine, they tend to let go of the extra water they’ve been holding on to in case of an emergency.

Carole – I’m really looking forward to starting these. Almost took a rest day today in anticipation, but I felt sooo good that I just couldn’t. So, we’ll figure it out. I do plan to take a “rest” day over the weekend and take Kimo, Jimmy and DD14 on a short hike. Then we’ll go to a local coffee shop for sandwiches and just relax. They have an incredible mozzarella pesto sandwich that I love! Have fun with your killer workout! Sounds tough!

Linda – You haven’t waited too long, but get her in a class soon. I think it’s more to train us then them, but it’s very helpful. I do have a lot of experience in training and Jimmy is coming along well, but I will put him in a class just because its so good for the dogs to socialize with other dogs and to learn to do the commands with distractions. And yes, I call him Jumping Jimmy for a reason. I guess we’ll just have to do REALLY long runs soon… Sounds like you had a good workout. How do you like the iBallets?

Jackie – sounds like an iTread day on the forums! Great job on the unassisted pullups! Wow! Enjoy your day!

Hi to all who follow! And big sloppy puppy kisses from Jimmy.

Good afternoon!

Spin class was an arse kicker as usual! I went foodshopping also...not fun but a must, right? LOL

So I got alot of sleep last night and yet all I can think about right now is taking a friggin' nap! Go figure! LOL

DH is working O/T and then has to head straight for bowling tonight so I don't have to cook dinner which means I have more time for everything else. I also have no work out planned for this afternoon which makes it an even MORE perfect time to catch a mid-afternoon snooze!;)

Boy, can I justify my naps or what, ladies!? :p

I'll be back with personals a bit later!:)

WOW! The Cheetahs are sparse today!

I'm off to get the lil' guy up and go outside for some play time before dinner. It's absotively GORGEOUS out there!!!!:+ :+ :+

BBL for personals chick-a-dees!:*

Hey cheetahs! I was on the run most of the day- errands & trip to the Dr.! Kiersten still has fluid behind her ears, but no infection at least. She thinks it's partly allergies still also so she's on Nasonex spray. Her appt at the ENT is next Wed so we'll see what he wants to do about the fluid. She had thankfully gained a couple lbs finally after being sick, I'm happy that she's been eating better! She could stand to gain a couple more lbs! (don't we all wish we had that problem?)

Now I'm waiting for Greg to get home w/ Hannah from soccer & then have to head to our last dress rehearsal. It's a riot seeing these kids in costume- total 80's dress!!! (and yes, I remember it all!)

Have a great night!

Just a drive-by post - got home a bit later than expected tonight so I had to cut the run and just did Yoga Burn by itself. Will catch up with personals in the AM.

Have a great night!
Cathy :)

Okay, I just finished Journey into Power 2 and I *LOVE LOVE LOVED* it! I recommend this to anyone who already likes Baron or anyone who prefers the more athletic style of power vinyasa yoga. I like Baron because even though he talks a bit in the spirtual realm, it's nothing I can't handle and he doesn't use that whispery voice that I can't stand. He speaks in a louder, clearer voice but it's still calming.

Cathy, Am I enabling you at all?!? }( :p :7

Okay...off to find a snack now.

See y'all in the morning!:)
