Laurie - I really liked Kelly's new ones a lot! The only "complaint" I have (and it is not really a complaint) is that the cardio of StepBoxing is only 30 minutes! It was fast-paced, which I like! I really wish it were 60 minutes! NYC is really good. I liked Amy's 3 really well, too. Did you like those? That is so funny about your heater! Thank goodness it wasn't a real fire, though!

Wendy - You are welcome! I will get busy very soon! I don't usually put it off this long!

:+ And I really need to get it done because my little grandkids seem to find EVERYTHING!
 
Well, I got about 1/2 of BS&B done before the little one started callin' for me. :+

I'm on the fence about the run...DH will be home in less then a half hour so I need to decide what I want to do...I can also take advantage of his being around to watch DS by staying home and finishing BS&B and then doing a little Cathe cardio instead of the run. YIKES, what decisions I have to make!:p ... Okay Elaine, you can stop laughing at me now!:7 :7 :7

Hey Cheetah Babes!

I've been sulking today - TTOM - so I have not been fit company for man nor beast (not even the wonderful Cheetah Beasts of this forum). I did manage CTX Kickboxing and GS Bi's, so I got a workout in. Just wanted to wave hi to everyone and give everyone a big "WOOF" of thank you from Sir Tuckerboo (that photo cracks me up - I've labeled it "Ambassador Tucker of the Canine Brigade". He looks so important - or self- important).

I did have to give Laurie and big hug and say, "Oh my goodness! I'm glad it was just the heater! Do you not use the heater or do you have alternative sources? My house always smells like there's a fire the first time we use the heater every year.
 
I only have a minute but just wanted to check in to see what workout Wendy decided on today! I see I needn't have bothered!:+

Hey Cheetahs! Didn't have a chance to check in with ya y'day. Wednesdays are always my really busy for me. Anyway, I did DM yesterday. I like that one more every time I do it. Today I took a rest day because DH took me out to see what kind of HR watch I like best. I settled on a polar because it had everything I want on it. I looked at the Garmins at Target, (One of ya Cheetahs reccomended it). Anyway I don't really need a GPS so I decided on the other one.

Cathy, Hope the observation went well.

Judy, We always take our dog, an Italian Greyhound, with us to Indiana when we visit family. My mom's 2 cats can't stand him but he sure does love them!

Jess, OOOh that is alot of Grocery stores to go to. I do not like that chore. Enjoy the w/out. BTW I got all of my baking out of the way and gave alot to my neighbors for Xmas so I wouldn't be tempted too much!

Carole, Enjoy B&G. I think I will do that one t'morrow with a run.

Shelly, 18 miles oh my. I wish I was there! But I am taking things nice and slow and working my way back. Although I have never done 18 miles! Someday. You are my inspiration!

I did PUB and abs and 20 minutes of stretching. It was a good upper body workout.

Oh my, my…the cheetahs have been busy posters today! In solidarity with Susan, I have opted for the rest day, so I’m just here to catch up on personals…:)

Wendy :: thanks…the lesson went well. :) KPC, on the other hand, quickly became history. ha ha Rec’d your Christmas card today ~ thanks for the sweet message! Glad you accomplished so much today and Joey was such a good boy for his shot.

Sunny :: I sometimes overshoot with my workout, too…my ambitions in the morning are greater than my energy level in the afternoon sometimes, unfortunately.

Jess :: sorry about your migraine…those are no fun…sounds like you had a relatively quick recovery at least.

Elaine :: I know what you mean…if I’m waking up TOO early, I can’t stay awake at night. I’m talking, dozing off ridiculously early in front of the TV! An observation involves the principal or a curriculum supervisor (upper-level admin) coming to observe one of your class periods. Tenured teachers have one per year; non-tenured teachers (that’s me b/c I have less than three years in this district) are observed 3 times per year. They look for an engaging lesson, clear objectives and outcomes, organization, classroom management, etc.

Carole :: We have a half day on the 22nd…break lasts until Jan. 2nd. Hope you were able to get in B&G + the elliptical.

Laurie :: Glad to hear BM2 gave you a great workout…thanks for the good wishes…I think it went well…I’m glad your spirits are lifted today. OK, Laurie, now I’m jealous…I’m off to start a small fire, so the men with the large hoses come to my door. }(

Shelly :: cracked up about the mooing comment. Goodness—30 lb. dumbbells!?? You are amazing. Oh, I did as you said – I’m resting today. :) Tomorrow and Saturday I’ll hit the pavement again.

Susan :: taking a week off in Chicago might be good for you…thank you for the vote of confidence! :) The cheetah support system is just unreal. I relaxed with a few trashy tabloids this afternoon, but I’m afraid I can’t commit to many books during the school year. I used to somehow find time to read young adult novels and a few professional books during the school year, but since I started grad school, there is not much time for that anymore, either. I definitely don’t get to much adult reading til the summer. Hope you had fun in the classroom today!

Judy :: I could just picture the cats freaking out with the pup. Yes, I think the observation went well…but I won’t get the write-up and post-observation conference til next week perhaps.

Linda :: good to see you post…please check in even if you’re not doing Cathe! We won't hold it against you :)…thanks for the good wishes.

Christine :: Good for you gettin' a workout in despite TTOM. Hope it made you feel a little better. Or is it more about wanting to tears faces off rather than physical pain?

LD :: glad you found a HRM to suit your needs…thanks for the good wishes…LOL about a salad during TTOM…as if!

OK, I am pissed bc something is off with the USB ports on my laptop and the mouse occasionally goes on the fritz, which it is doing now… The touchpad absolutely *kills* me, so I think I’ve gotta get off this thing. It’s time for my airborne, zinc, and vitamin regimen, anyway…I’m starting that again bc the influx of germs is on the rise again at school, and I’ve been feelin’ a little sniffly this week. Gotta ward that off so it doesn’t interfere with my ski trip!

You guys *have* been chatty today. Let me see if I am up to speed on what's going on.

Susan, I got your card yesterday. You *look* like a jazz singer!:7 Oh! And a Godess too!:+ I'm joining forces with you. It is now 4:20 pm, my bed is not made yet, breakfast dishes still sit in the sink and I have many, many presents to wrap..... I hope you are enjoying the rest from cardio as much as I am!

Wendy, So what workout did you do?

Carole, I think we were posting at the same time this morning. I tell ya, if I had the choice between running in the pouring rain and getting on my elliptical I think I would be a wuss and hop on the elliptical. I bow down to you once again. I think we're going to get some rain this weekend and I just might be faced with that choice. Since I won't be able to get runs in during the week for the next three weeks then I'm going to think of you when I start to talk myself out of going out there in the wetness to run.

Laurie, I have four kids. DH is my second (and best!:7) H. I got married waaaay too young first time around. Definately a mistake but I did get two great kids out of it. They are DS/26 and DD/24. I also have DS/15 and DD/5. Yep, I've been a mother for a loooong time and every time I have been on the brink of getting a break I go and get pregnant again! There's one good reason to be thankful that I am now 47 years old!! LOL!! Love 'em all but I'm kinda looking forward to when the worries are a little more removed from my day to day life.

Shelly, Your marathon is right around the corner! Yeah, the feel is back in my runs but they've not been longer than 4 miles. I guess that's not too bad considering I ran a marathon 11 days ago but they seem short. I've also been enjoying taking it easy these last two weeks and feel my body needs the break. That means I'll be ready to get back into working out with a little more oomph next week. Will you be getting any time off for the Christmas holiday? I like YogaX too, it's just kind of long.

Linda, I got your card today! Thanks so much! So, how would you say the Amy Bento and Kelly Coffey workouts stack up with Cathe? What is StepBox like? Is it kickbox using the step? That I might like....

Christine, Your post reminded me of The Red Tent! I haven't read that book but it still reminded me of it. My DH used to tease me, saying he was going to put up a tent like that. My hormones have really settled down though as I get older and he's happy about that! I hope you're feeling better soon!

Cathy, So I take it the observation report are your performance reviews for the year? What happens if they don't like what they see? I mean, I am sure they like what they see you doing, I was just curious about what is done about teachers who aren't that great.

LD, I bet you'll want a Garmin one of these days. I love seeing my pace for each mile and my average overall pacewhen I get done. And I like getting the feedback during the run too. When my 201 wears out I'm gonna get one with a HRM....just like Carole!

OK. I'm all tuped out and I gotta go make my bed and clean the kitchen. Thank goodness I cooked enough dinner last night for two days.

I did not proof read this so keep that in mind when you can't figure out what the heck I am talking about. I'm tired and I've got a lot to do before DH gets home. Talk to you all later.....or maybe tomorrow. At 4 am, I am surex(

So when DH got home I finished up BS&B and then did the blasts from KM for a short cardio kick in the tush!}(
I upped my weights in BS&B in 2 exercises the first time I did it in this rotation. Today I upped the weight in *SIX* more!!! If I don't have DOMS tomorrow then you gals will have been chattin' with Wonder Woman this entire time with out even knowing it!:p

Just got home from work and have a few minutes to catch up.

Linda, I do like the Amy Bentos, I've only done the u/b premix from All Pump Xtreme and liked that she put some new and interesting moves in it. I really liked the cardios. I think I'll order the Kelly Coffeys after Christmas that way I don't have to pay the credit card until late February :)

Christine, I'll take the hug and give you one in return. I feel for you Honey, I am sick of TTOM, this baby factory is CLOSED!!! I don't want to rush menopause but there are too many menstrual women in my house!! The previous owners of the house replaced the electric heat with gas heat but didn't take all of the baseboard heaters out. It made sense when the firefighter told me (gosh his eyes were a gorgeous light blue, oops sorry, I got distracted;-) ) it's nice to have to pre warm the bathroom in the winter. I still feel pretty sheepish about it.

LD, scrambled eggs is B-Max, 1st combo then 1st blast and leg work, 2nd combo then 2nd blast and leg work.....for the fourth round you do the finished combos X 4 then the last blast and legs. It's a great workout!! I feel the same about DM, the more I do it, the more I like it!

Cathy, ain't technology grand!:eek: We love it when it works though! Sounds like you're lauching an all out assault on those nasty viruses, bacteria and germs, they don't stand a chance!!!

We're a bunch of 'The Office' geeks around here so I'm off to plant my butt on the couch to watch the Christmas special. Have a great night ladies!

Laurie: The story about your heater was very funny but I am sooo glad there was no real danger. That had to be very scarey for you! Don't feel silly or anything. You did the right thing. :)
 
I just stretched for about 45 mins. Felt really good. I gotta do this more often. I know...I say that and never see it through but I really need to!
