I’m back! Oh my, was that fabulous!!! Rachel York has an amazing voice. It’s one thing to hear it on a video another in person. DD14 is in love with Lancelot (at the guy who played him – he had a great voice, too). We enjoyed the production so much, then we went out for a late lunch/early dinner to the Tide House (a brewery, but I had no beer). I had grilled mustard chicken, rice and sautéed veggies. A very enjoyable afternoon.
Wendy – I love the shot of you in your cheetah shirt!!! I think it’s very creative!
Susan – I had such a good time with you on Friday that I couldn’t let you pig out alone!! :+ I’ve been good today. Hope you’ve been the same. I didn’t do the BootCamp workout today – went for a run instead, but I have done it before. It’s fun – very similar to the original BootCamp, although only 4 sections instead of 8. I thought of you when Rachel was singing!!
Wendy – enjoy your DOMS and dinner at MIL’s!
Barb – the doggies are very happy right now. They like to get out there and do things. I just took them for a nice walk before dinner, and there will be one more before bed. It’s actually good for ME that DH is gone and I get the care for the doggies – he usually does it. What’s this about you swimming 1.5 miles? WAY TO GO!!!
Linda – I’m sure Maddie will run with you one day. I started Tucker when he was six months with VERY short runs – not over a mile. It wasn’t until he was 8-9 months that I started added miles. But if you start them young, they know what to expect. And I’ll tell you – running with them sooo helps with the doggy “teen” years (between 1 and 3 when they chew and get into EVERYTHING!!). A tired dog is a good dog. Believe me.
Cathy – pretty sun flowers. Wasn’t it soo nice to be outside! I felt wonderful! I, too, love to travel. I’m not a fan of Vegas (or Nevada in general) because there is no anti-smoking anywhere. I really hate the smell of smoke. But, I would sacrifice for you Cheetahs. I’d rather do a GTG in the summer though – December is hectic enough!
Jess – Great job with the bathroom. The paint doesn’t look like you were sick when you did it!
Elaine – I don’t think that sounds bad at all!! I enjoy DH being gone for a few days – not as long as he will be this time, but a few days – because I get to do totally do what I want to do. I don’t mind compromising, but occasionally it’s nice to be totally selfish.
My DD is reading to Kill a Mockingbird, too. Great, great book!!!
Thomasina - you have me laughing about the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. Yeah – I’ve done that. Your breakfast sounds fabulous!! I love breakfast burritos! Sorry about DD17. There is a lot to be said about genetics and behavior, unfortunately. My DD17 can be very much like her mom – sweet as pie until she doesn’t get what she wants, then it’s temper tantrum time. And honestly, DD14 can be very like her dad at times as well – and never in good ways… I think you’re doing a wonderful job at trying to be supportive without going overboard. It’s never easy being a step mom, especially when the real mom is not exactly role model material. {{{{Hugs}}}}
Linda – you’re gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing!
