Hey Lovely Cheetah ladies –
I think yesterday was a bad day for all of us, so we’ll just chalk it up as the “Offical Bad Eating Day” as Susan suggested and move forward. DH said we should have some champagne to before he left to celebrate Valentine’s Day. On top of the wine. So needless to say that my lovely dinner of salmon, wild rice and broccoli didn’t happen. Instead I ordered pizza. So, today is the first day of my official diet. No wine for a while (thank heavens!) and just good healthy eating. I’m going to be doing BMax BootCamp today. Sounds like fun.
Cathy – good job at listening to your body! I was surprised about the BFFM comment about vegans as well. I think it comes from not understanding that you can definitely get adequate protein while eating vegan. No one knows everything I guess.
Marcia – Enjoy Plyo X! That will make for an interesting 8 hours on your feet! I do like that workout, but it’s tough!! Have fun today.
Sunny – I read it in bits and pieces. I printed off the first 150 pages and read those. Now I’m up to page 232. I read it when I have a few moments. A lot of the info is redundant – I KNOW Atkins is not a good healthy choice, for example, but I know a lot of people do not, so I skim through those pages. Enjoy Plyo X
Gayle – I think we should plan a GTG in the Rockies – we can do some hiking!! Wouldn’t that be fun! I love that area. I cannot believe you were up at 7AM for a workout this morning after not being able to sleep. It is weird to have a silent house, isn’t it? I have to admit that I like having my girls home – it’s kind of like a“We’re all together and safe and all is right in my world” kind of feeling. I always know when DD17 comes in just because I worry when she’s not home. Fortunately, she’s good at obeying her curfew.
Carole – Maybe if we get together with the guys, the men will plan a trip and you and I can have some peace! LOL. Enjoy your run!
Laura – you must simply have legs of steel to have survived ME and firewalkers and not be sore.
Linda – BFFM is Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. It’s another of the good books out there. Very different, though. Good luck.
Judy – sorry to hear your hip is bothering you! And I do see a difference in the way my runs go if I do leg work regulary. Adding B&G on a regular basis is a good idea, I think.
Barb – Glad to hear the your 6 degree run was warm and balmy (or at least better than last week’s run!). Have fun swimming laps – good to see your boys so dedicated!! Yeah, the time change in Australia is interesting. As I’m on the Left Coast, I always think of it as being one day ahead and six hours behind. He’ll be in a 9AM Monday Morning, which will be 3:00PM today. He lost Sunday, but gets two Fridays. Weird…
Karen – so glad to hear you’re feeling better. Sorry the girls are sick! Great job on a 9 mile run after being sick!
Wendy – Yeah, I know the feeling on the eating… Sounds like you had a good time, though.
Shelly – you’re being so good with your running! Impressive!! Also nice of you to give your old elliptical to your friend who needs one. That should help a lot! Have fun with your workout!
Thomasina – So sorry about the lady with the perfume! I workout at two different gyms. One is a meat market, the other is a family gym. I always pick the spin bike that faces the gym when I’m at the meat market as watching all the Barbie dolls in full make-up and looking perfect flirt with all of the studs amuses me. But when they get too close with all of the perfume, it makes me sick. I don’t get why some people think more is better when it comes to perfume.
Edited to add - forgot to tell y'all that I'm taking DD14 to see Camelot, the Broadway version, in San Jose. DD14 is such a Broadway buff that I thought this would be fun for today.
Have a great day Cheetah Babes!
